Subject to change?
The unique texture of this product caught my eye and persuaded me to seek more. After doing my "research" I dealt myself to buy one and drifted towards a new unit. When received in the mail, I assembled the unit and after 24 hours, only 50 pounds of force, the unit collapsed. Now, feeling that this must be an unknown error, I returned it and received another unit. The same thing happened, yet again.

So, this may just be a "luck of the darn draw", but it sure was some bad luck.

Precautions on assembly
Becareful when you unpack the shelving materials. There are 8 circular styrofoam spacers on two square sheets of styrofoam that look like packing material. You could easily damage the styrofoam if you don't notice them. Other than that, the table was very easy to assemble. It looks great and seems to be very strong.

Easy to assemble, classic look
Very easy to assemble, has very classic lines, lets stereo equipment have plenty of ventilation, hard to find add-on shelf in maple. Holds a lot of equipment.

Decent product for your buck
I wouldn't say that this receiver is versatile or high quality, but for the amount that you pay its a bargain. If you are just an average person wanted to see your movies with better sound than your TV, this receiver will give you that. I have to say that this product just met my expectation (which I didn't expect too much).

Outstanding
I just bought this unit to replace my SA-VA10 amplified system, Since My DVD player is already digital out ready I didn't need to spend the extra cash for the digital receiver. My advice: If you already have the decoder in your DVD... GET THIS RECEIVER! Sounds great and great controls, lots of options.

"Blow You Away" Home Theater
I have had my 525 receiver for about six months and I really like it. If I was buying a receiver today, I would probloubly choose to go with the higher model 835 (for its digital/dts decoding built in), but at the time the 525 was perfect, I got my dvd player, also a Sony with the Dolby digital decoder built in, and it works great. The sound will just blow you away. Even with the volume set to 2 out of 10 on the dial it is defeaning. Before I replace this unit I may just add an external dolby digital/dts decoder and get several additional years out of it.

el producto al parecer es bueno, pero faltan datos tecnicos, como para poder interezarse en el producto. el precio es conveniente

Surprisingly powerful
Don't judge this unit by the price! Sherwood has put together a powerful 325 receiver system that needs to be heard to be believed. You can't go wrong with the Sherwood RVD-6090R!

Great value for the price!
Looking for a inexpensive yet great sounding surrond receiver? This is it! Just enough bells and whistles that makes it useful, but not too much that won't be used or confusing to use. Does the job and does it well.

Fantastic TV stand
When I started shopping around for a new set of A/V furniture, I hit all the usual suspects, Ikea, and other local furniture stores. All of the offerings seemed about the same, a large cabinet for the TV, potentially with some side units. I felt this furniture could quickly be dated by the new generation of large, flat TV's so I kept looking.

I found Sanus when I started shopping at A/V stores instead of furniture stores. They have a nice line of very attractive furniture that will still work when if you upgrade to a large television.

This particular television stand has worked out very well. A few days after ordering it from Amazon, a large, heavy box showed up on my doorstep (glad I didn't have to figure out how to get it home!) and I started assembling. Assembly went very quickly. The single required tool is provided and the instructions are clear.

The result is a very sturdy television stand that looks great and is wide enough (about 42") to accommodate some very large televisions. It also supports several hundred pounds, which means you can put large direct view TV's on this and not worry.

Beautiful, but pricy, TV stand
I bought the maple version of this stand two years ago. We have one of the 36" Sony Wega TV's on it (280 pounds). It easily fits four regular size stereo/video components on the shelves. I'm very happy with the purchase, but wish it hadn't cost so much.

Better for FM than AM
This is a good, reasonably priced antenna for pulling in weak or distant FM stations. I have one at home and one at work, both attached to Proton RS-330 radios. The Terk AM Advantage is better for AM stations, but the tower is OK if that's the only antenna you buy.

Good FM and AM Reception
[] This powered antenna helps boosts reception of AM/FM radio stations. Installation was a snap, and Terk includes all the accessories you need to connect the antenna to your tuner. The gain control is on the antenna itself, and is useful for improving the clarity of some stations. I recommend this antenna for those who would like an inexpensive way of improving their radio reception.

    Good subwoofer
I bought this subwoofer for my panasonic sc-ak 200 because to had more bass

The sound is clean and the bass is very good. The high cut and the volume is excellent to program the best sound for you.
I bought a big cable and let's go to shake my room.

I would recomend this sub for the price, the quality and the sound.

    Great Sub
I bought this sub in order to add more bass to my home theater mini system, Panasonic Ak600, which I also recomend. I also bought Monster Cable 12 foot sub cable and used the line in and out from of the Sub and my system, thereby avoiding the speaker wire. The sound is crisp and clean. I tailored the high cut and volume settings to my liking, and I love the standby mode. I use it for TV, CDs and DVDs. I use an optical cable with my dvd player so i truly get the .1 in 5.1 It is definitely powerful and gives great bass on music and movies. I would definitely recomend this sub for the price.

      Good Bang for Buck
I just bought this to use on an old turntable with my new stereo equipment. I only have 3 records so it didn't make sense to spend a lot of money. I haven't used it a whole lot but the times that I have it has worked very well. Its to bad that my records aren't in great condition to fully use the quality.

      Vinyl is King
It's great to be listening to my old vinyl after 20 years. One channel of the preamp quit working once but I unplugged the power for a couple of days and it worked again.

      Good value
I'm using this pre-amp to connect a turntable to a computer for burning records to CD. The sound is decent especially for the price. (Putting an equalizer between the pre-amp and the computer really helps to sound quality of those old records.)

To eliminate the AC hum make sure that you have a good ground connection (connect it to the chassis of something with a 3-prong power cord).

better than some claim it to be
What do you want for under $150? I've read other reviews that say this preamp is colored, a joke, etc., but after getting one, I would have to disagree. I've owned McIntosh, Dynaco, Marantz, Bottlehead, Luxman, B&K, Adcom, VanAlstien, and lots of other mid to hi-fi stuff. This certainly isn't high enbd by any means, but it's actually perfectly fine-especially for the price. There are even a few better quality discrete components thrown in here and there. Some others have complained about the stepped volume...why? that's a bizarre complaint. They're not Alps or Noble, but it works fine for me.
The layout is simple, clean, and there are plenty of switching options. I would reccomend a good, but inexpensive phono preamp (maybe the NAD...or other cheapo alternative). My only nitpick is that the base does not sit with all four feet on the floor at the same time-that's just dumb, but other than that, I've gotten my money's worth. For another $100 i could have had the Parasound with a decent phono stage. I know Audiosource probably does not care, but I wish they would make a higher end preamp with better jacks, a phono stage (no tuner built in though) and feet that sit on the ground...maybe then I'll upgrade.

      The virtue of simplicity
I was in the market for a cheap pre amp as a temporary replacement for my old pre that wouldn't give me a clean CD input without a fight.

I looked all over the place for a simple stereo pre amp that wasn't filled with features I didn't need at a resonable price, when I finally found this little baby. It's solidly built and works just beautifully. There is no remote control to lose so I can just get off my butt and walk over to it if I need to.

Setting it up is as easy as falling off a log and sonically it is quite transparent though it seems a touch on the bright side (although this could be caused by my speaker placement as well).

My only qualm is the notched volume, bass and treble controls, although for the price this is truly nit-picking.

If you pine for quality and simplicity over glamor and glitz you can't go wrong with this unit.

      great product!
This is a great pre-amp. Great quality for a good price. I love mine. I am very glad I bought it. This company is what I was always looking for, good quality audio gear at a reasonable price. (No, I do not work for them or have any connection.)
