Alternative FujiFilm 4800 / 6800 case
Case Logic
A great little case for MP3 playersMy only negative comment about the case is the belt strap. It is nothing more than a nylon strap running the length of the case and sewn at both ends. Caselogic describes the case as being easy to attach to a belt or backpack. However, to wear it on your belt you have to take your belt off, thread it through the strap on the case, then put your belt back on. I wish that they had made the strap so it had velcro, a snap, or a buckle at one end so that you could attach it to a belt more easily. Despite this minor flaw I am very happy with the case and can recommend it.

good quality cable on the expensive side
Great Stuff!
Great sound, easy setupThen I connected the 10ft Monster Cable from my laptop to my Yamaha Amp. Wow! I have all my CDs ripped as MP3s on my laptop - from now on, this is how I will be listening to my music. The sound is superb - a different league from what you're used to from a laptop/computer. Maybe it's my great Amp, maybe it's my great laptop, but the sound is rich and clear. This cable was worth every penny.

- Worldwide digital synthesizer tuner (AM/FM)
- 22-hour playback
- 30-station auto preset memory
- 6-key direct preset tuning
- Super bass

Wonderful
Excellent!
Don't believe the bad this is one AWESOME portable for $20The sound is crisp, clear, and robust. Of course your not going to have awesome bass, dah, its a freaking small headphone speaker. But this unit can compeate stright up with units costing 2 or 3 or 4 times as much. Yeah I thought, 20 bucks its going to be so so, I was wrong.
I don't have any ideal why its only 20 dollars but unlike others I dont look a gift horse in the mouth, I ride it baby, And boy am I glad I did.
It's everything a portable walkman should be, the problem with the other review was he was knocking it for not deliviring something its not suppose to anyway. It be like me buying a great surf board and giving it 2 stars cause its a crappy sewing machine.
Don't buy this and your missing out on one sweet deal. Its a great walkman that happens to be 20 dollars not a 20 dollar walkman that happens to be okay....

Don't Let Them Tell You...
Solid sound card.I was a little leary about EAX effects after Aureal's 3d effects on the MX300, which were great. After installing the card and all the associated Creative software I put it through some tests. Everything sounded a little deeper... richer maybe. The EAX effects are quite bountiful to say the least, maybe with a little overkill. I have yet to try the digital out, or the 5.1 speaker setup, but I am quite sure they will both be exceptional.
Overall I was quite pleased with the sound, the price is only a little higher than what I have traditionally spent on sound cards, but it's not a bad deal. I do have one exception with this card though. I would have preferred just a bare bones style install of drivers, etc. I have since gone back and pruned down most of the extra programs I installed originally, since I didn't find them to be of much long term use.
I would suggest this card to those who need to upgrade due to hardware failure, or to replace a seriously old sound card or if you just have the extra money and you are upgrading to a 5.1 speaker system this (or any of the SB Live! series) would be the card to go with.

A great sounding reciever
Built ToughIt's survived 4 shipments to and from Japan, and still no electrical problems (shell was dinged up from UPS...the bozos!). I'm not an audiophile or a stereophile, just a guy who loves watching movies in style. Hi ampage = clean sound. I've tried maxing out the amp several times. Still, no distortion at high volumes. Read the specs and look at the important 75 amps versus some of the other 500 watt receivers. You'll find no contest other than the AVR 8000 which costs considerably more (but is THX Cert).
seatle, age 34bottom line:
If you are married there is no way your wife is going to let you put more than 5 speakers in your living room so why spend $2000-$3000 dollars for a receiver that will run 7 speakers.
I listened to monsters, inc. with it and when my infinity IL-60's subs went off It nearly scared the @#$& out of my wife. All I have to say is thank god for giving me the insight to avoid the crap they sell at ultimate electronics.
see ya.

Really great, and a good value
Easiest to use, great picture! We've had ours for over a year. The set up is simple, plug in the set, plug in the cables between the vcr and tv. Turn em both on and hit set up on screen. It's done!

good features & sound
Good sound, good featuresInstead of just presets and bass boost, it has a parametric equalizer. Bass, mid, and treble can each be adjusted up or down three, each in high, mid, or low positions, for a total of 21 possible adjustments in each range. Bass may not boom, but it isn't boomy or muddy, either. The setting is saved as custom. There are also presets (I have used "Heavy" for some rock, but off otherwise).
Although I have used SonicStage software, I don't recommend it (not because I dislike Atrac3, but because I don't like the program). MP3s made by any program, burned to cd by any program, can be used on this player. I have used CDs with LAME MP3s (VBR) burned by MusicMatch and Nero with no problem. Nested directories also weren't a problem. MP3 CDs do take longer to load up when they are first put in (less than 30 seconds for a 700MB CD with 7 directories, 81 tracks, 625MB; less than 15 for commercial audio CD). Titles scroll and you can change the display options.
There are several playback options, including 10 most frequently played (also shuffle), and by group and m3u playlists on MP3 CDs among others.
The one problem with this player is the physical feel. The plastic is very light and thin so it seems a bit flimsy. The hold button on the bottom doesn't have as solid a feel as the ones on my Sony MD player or Clie, but the same as the NE510 so maybe that is just the CD player style. For the price, this isn't unexpected therefore I did not give it 4 stars.
i really like it
