Alternative FujiFilm 4800 / 6800 case
I could not find the SC-FX8 case anywhere for my new camera (FujiFilm 4800), and the camera is not supplied with one. It turns out that the Case Logic MP3 Player Case is a near-perfect fit and great value too. I have no regrets about buying this case, but it would be nice if other colors where available. I prefer the belt loop because it is less likely that a thief will be able to snatch it and run.

Case Logic
This case works very well with Philips RUSH MP3 player. Plenty of room for extra memory cards and batteries! Great product at an affordable!

A great little case for MP3 players
I bought this for my Rio 500 and it fits perfectly. When opened, the right side of the case has a pocket of elasticized netting that should hold most MP3 players as long as they aren't bigger than about 4.5" by 2.5" The left side has a large zippered pocket that runs the length of the case (vertically) and a smaller unzippered pocket that is 2.5" deep. The zipper that closes the case is large and seems to be durable. The case itself is soft and should protect the contents fairly well.

My only negative comment about the case is the belt strap. It is nothing more than a nylon strap running the length of the case and sewn at both ends. Caselogic describes the case as being easy to attach to a belt or backpack. However, to wear it on your belt you have to take your belt off, thread it through the strap on the case, then put your belt back on. I wish that they had made the strap so it had velcro, a snap, or a buckle at one end so that you could attach it to a belt more easily. Despite this minor flaw I am very happy with the case and can recommend it.

good quality cable on the expensive side
Maybe my expectations for this cable were a little high, but with monster products I have learned to set those expectations a little higher. That is why I was a little disappointed with this cable. Overall it is a very high quality cable and it gets the job done. However, this cable produces only moderately better sound then the cable I was using before it, a cable that cost much less. For someone who isn't an audiophile this cable definitely isn't for you. For someone who demands the BEST... I would recommend this cable.

Great Stuff!
This is a really cool piece of gear! Literally, you just plug it in, and you're set for great music. I have a Sony VAIO laptop w/ wireless connection to the internet. I placed my laptop near my Bose Lifestyle and hooked up the cable within 30 seconds (the cable plugs into the headphone slot in the computer). Great sound! Sounds just like a CD!

Great sound, easy setup
Really simple to set up, and the sound is great. I have an IBM T20 laptop computer. The internal speakers for a laptop are pretty good, but for listening to high fidelity audio, they just don't make the grade. I also have Harman/Kardon computer speakers; they're better than the laptop's internal speakers, but still nowhere near the rich sound you get from your hifi.
Then I connected the 10ft Monster Cable from my laptop to my Yamaha Amp. Wow! I have all my CDs ripped as MP3s on my laptop - from now on, this is how I will be listening to my music. The sound is superb - a different league from what you're used to from a laptop/computer. Maybe it's my great Amp, maybe it's my great laptop, but the sound is rich and clear. This cable was worth every penny.

Wonderful
I was hesitant to buy this at first because it was so inexpensive. I figured "you get what you pay for" right? Well, I was wrong. This little walkman is one of the best purchases I made. The sound and reception are great. I got a great deal. No complaints here!

Excellent!
I bought it before Christmas, and I am very pleased with its quality. Do not listen to that guy who complained this one wasted him a lot of battery because of the easy turning on power button. In fact, there is a lock button, once you use it, all the other buttons will be disabled.

Don't believe the bad this is one AWESOME portable for $20
I ordered my 486 and then saw that bad review and was sweating it...but boy were they wrong, this little go getter rocks. First off is the design. Its suberb, I've never had a portable so small, its barely bigger then a cassette.

The sound is crisp, clear, and robust. Of course your not going to have awesome bass, dah, its a freaking small headphone speaker. But this unit can compeate stright up with units costing 2 or 3 or 4 times as much. Yeah I thought, 20 bucks its going to be so so, I was wrong.

I don't have any ideal why its only 20 dollars but unlike others I dont look a gift horse in the mouth, I ride it baby, And boy am I glad I did.

It's everything a portable walkman should be, the problem with the other review was he was knocking it for not deliviring something its not suppose to anyway. It be like me buying a great surf board and giving it 2 stars cause its a crappy sewing machine.

Don't buy this and your missing out on one sweet deal. Its a great walkman that happens to be 20 dollars not a 20 dollar walkman that happens to be okay....

Double check compatibility
Great card, but it has compatibility problems with the Abit KT7 (RAID) motherboard and Windows 2000. It works great in Windows 98/ME, and works great in Windows XP.

Don't Let Them Tell You...
This sound card is one amazing piece of hardware! Prior to making my purchase, I used Creative's Ensonic, a 128-voice card. I've read everywhere that all one needs to enjoy CD sound from mp3's is a 128-voice card (and the right bit rate recording). Turns out that was a bunch of horse doo. This SB card fills my room with sound, soft highs and smooth lows, and has breathed new life into my entire music collection. If you're using a cheesy old card like I was and you're looking to improve the quality of music coming from your PC (not necessarily video games), buy this card. You won't regret it!

Solid sound card.
I bought this card to replace my Diamond Monster MX300 which finally gave out on me. I was extremely happy with the MX300 and so I expected at least similar quality or better from a newer card. I am not (so far) disappointed.

I was a little leary about EAX effects after Aureal's 3d effects on the MX300, which were great. After installing the card and all the associated Creative software I put it through some tests. Everything sounded a little deeper... richer maybe. The EAX effects are quite bountiful to say the least, maybe with a little overkill. I have yet to try the digital out, or the 5.1 speaker setup, but I am quite sure they will both be exceptional.

Overall I was quite pleased with the sound, the price is only a little higher than what I have traditionally spent on sound cards, but it's not a bad deal. I do have one exception with this card though. I would have preferred just a bare bones style install of drivers, etc. I have since gone back and pruned down most of the extra programs I installed originally, since I didn't find them to be of much long term use.

I would suggest this card to those who need to upgrade due to hardware failure, or to replace a seriously old sound card or if you just have the extra money and you are upgrading to a 5.1 speaker system this (or any of the SB Live! series) would be the card to go with.

Nice looking but cheap
OK - the MP3 module is nice, though it does not hold a lot of music. Typically 12-14 songs however, the ease of downloading into the visor and module is very nice. Now, about the clip...What a peice of garbage. For anyone who works out or does anything active and wants music to tag along, this IS NOT the equipment for the job. The clip does not secure to anything and if the energy hits the ground, forget it, you will be using super glue and rubber bands to hold it together. You would think that with all the technology out there, Soundsgood would come out with something a little more impressive and durable for those with an active life style- I know I would be willing to pay a little more for something more durable applicable for working out. Please, invent something, quickly!!!!

Sounds Good MP3 with Energy clip
I think this is a great product. I have used other MP3s and this has a very fast method to load music onto it. With 64 mb, the music load speed is important. I used the energy clip during my workouts. I can get about 1.5 hours of music on this and the MP3 inside the clip is very small (3"X4") so I do not even notice it on me as I move about. Great product with bad marketing. There are very good used values out there. Enjoy.

Great gadget
Like I said great gadget but I wish that the mp3 player itself is just as good. I hope that Good Technology has improved on the little player because it is the worst so far in eminating noise.
The sony stick is the least that eminates noise.
This review isn't about mp3 players it is about this battery pack
and it does well for what it is intended for.

A great sounding reciever
I bought the HK7000 in March of 2000, for the onboard digital freatures such as the decoding of DTS for DVDs. This allowed me to purchase a cheap DVD player for under $150. I should have done that for my CD player as well. I found the the HK produced better sound when I bypassed my more expensive Marantz OSE CD player by using digital out, and once again letting the HK decode the signal. In short this is a great reciever, with lots of programable digital/video inputs (the coaxal digital input goes to the cd, the fiber optical cable goes to the DVD player, etc...). The high output of the amplifier is clear and distortion free at high volumes. The sound that this unit produces is truely appreciable. Drawbacks include the large size and heavy weight. The unit also produces a good amount of heat, and shouldn't be put in an enclosed cabinet. I also found that the included HK universal remote has developed a minor glitch.

Built Tough
I've owned this receiver now for over 2 years, and I have had no problems. As a matter of fact I keep it enclosed in the storage area beneath my television. The only draw back is the size of this monster. It is the only component in my TV cabinet that was built for atleast 2. It's so easy to use, my four year old knows how to work the basics when daddy can't find the remote.

It's survived 4 shipments to and from Japan, and still no electrical problems (shell was dinged up from UPS...the bozos!). I'm not an audiophile or a stereophile, just a guy who loves watching movies in style. Hi ampage = clean sound. I've tried maxing out the amp several times. Still, no distortion at high volumes. Read the specs and look at the important 75 amps versus some of the other 500 watt receivers. You'll find no contest other than the AVR 8000 which costs considerably more (but is THX Cert).

seatle, age 34
I have had top of the line sony, yamaha, and denon receivers and non of them stood up to harmon's flagship receivers.
bottom line:
If you are married there is no way your wife is going to let you put more than 5 speakers in your living room so why spend $2000-$3000 dollars for a receiver that will run 7 speakers.
I listened to monsters, inc. with it and when my infinity IL-60's subs went off It nearly scared the @#$& out of my wife. All I have to say is thank god for giving me the insight to avoid the crap they sell at ultimate electronics.
see ya.

    Try it.........you'll like it
Bought tried tested. A nice quiet operating vcr. All the listed features work to my satisfaction.Sometimes I'm hard to please.I give it 4 stars. One thing I notice is,when using reverse mode(while in play) it has to think if it wants to do that. It will. When power fails...No Problem. All stored memory is still there when power comes back.On screen programing is great and easy to use.I like it and think you would be happy if you had this unit.

Really great, and a good value
I bought this because of the reliability of Panasonic VCRs. The remote has incredible range, and doesn't need to be pointed even in the general direction of the VCR, unlike my Sony. The tuner is great. Much better picture quality than my Sony. The only drawbacks are the ability to channel caption only 34 stations, no XDS decoding, and the remote control doesn't have separate off buttons for TV and VCR, and the buttons require a pretty firm press. Possibly to keep you from accidentally changing channels when it gets caught in the cushions.

    Easiest to use, great picture!
I've gone through my phase of "high end" vcr's. The truth is, now with DVD and formats I'm not even aware of on the horizon, VCR's have reached the highest function they ever will. The advantages to that, are that vcr's will be around for a while longer, while everyone catches up. And for REALLY low prices, you get a full function, quality picture and stereo from vcr's like the Panasonic PV-9662 Hi-Fi Stereo VCR.
We've had ours for over a year. The set up is simple, plug in the set, plug in the cables between the vcr and tv. Turn em both on and hit set up on screen. It's done!
The Panasonic PV-9662 Hi-Fi Stereo VCR includes Auto Head Cleaner, Front A/V Input, Auto Clock Set and VCR PLUS Silver.
This has been a great purchase for us. Easy to use, great picture and sound.

    Good Receiver
The only problems I have noticed is poor stagiging in the rear speakers - lack of volume too.

    Still going strong
I purchased this receiver and the companion DVD711 player 2 years ago and it still impresses me to this day. I have it breathing through a pair of Klipsch LaScala's and a single powered sub and the power output can either be subtle or breath-taking. Has enough features to be funtional and no unnecessary gee-gaws I find to be useless price-inflation toys. I bought this to replace an old Kenwood integrated amp and I found it to put out as much oomph, if not a little more.

I would highly recommend this unit to any frugal audio/videophiles out there more interested in value rather then fluff.

    " A Potent Receiver"
This receiver is stunning.... It has raw power.... It has 5 S video inputs/outputs,and it has 2 optical inputs/outputs with options for your vinyl Lp's, satellite and more.... This receiver is a steal, hands down the best receiver for the money!!! I have shopped around I have been in Bestbuy,Circuit City,Radio Shack,Sam's Club I've even gone to department stores looking for the right receiver. I have been in numerous sound rooms and yes Harmon Kardon,Onkyo,Denon, and Yamaha do sound good but the FR975 receiver has more raw power than all the names Ive just mentioned unless you want to pay a grand or so for a few extra features and some pretty lights....Dont get me wrong just because you find a receiver for cheap, doesn't mean you should use cheap speakers.) I would still recommend high quality speakers.Your electronic equippment is as good as the quality, but sometimes you can find quality without the expense. This also an awesome upgrade from dolby surround to digital surround.(Nothing Ive seen carries the digital (DTS) signal and has the power of this receiver let alone the price of this receiver.)If you want to get crunk then crank this!!! Most underated buy for a receiver....

    good features & sound
I like the AVLS because my kids will use this. The sound is pretty good, and the price is fairly good since I can make MP3's for this player. It is not perfect, but I like the weight. I wish it had a clip though.

    Good sound, good features
I bought one of these last month on recommendations and am very pleased with it. I have an NE510 I purchased last year, which was nice, but I needed a second player. This one has better features and better sound. The battery life is as good or better than indicated on the package.

Instead of just presets and bass boost, it has a parametric equalizer. Bass, mid, and treble can each be adjusted up or down three, each in high, mid, or low positions, for a total of 21 possible adjustments in each range. Bass may not boom, but it isn't boomy or muddy, either. The setting is saved as custom. There are also presets (I have used "Heavy" for some rock, but off otherwise).

Although I have used SonicStage software, I don't recommend it (not because I dislike Atrac3, but because I don't like the program). MP3s made by any program, burned to cd by any program, can be used on this player. I have used CDs with LAME MP3s (VBR) burned by MusicMatch and Nero with no problem. Nested directories also weren't a problem. MP3 CDs do take longer to load up when they are first put in (less than 30 seconds for a 700MB CD with 7 directories, 81 tracks, 625MB; less than 15 for commercial audio CD). Titles scroll and you can change the display options.

There are several playback options, including 10 most frequently played (also shuffle), and by group and m3u playlists on MP3 CDs among others.

The one problem with this player is the physical feel. The plastic is very light and thin so it seems a bit flimsy. The hold button on the bottom doesn't have as solid a feel as the ones on my Sony MD player or Clie, but the same as the NE510 so maybe that is just the CD player style. For the price, this isn't unexpected therefore I did not give it 4 stars.

    i really like it
