A good television
Great tv at a reasonable priceeasy to set the video and audio choices using the menu on the
practical remote. If you haven't kept up with the latest advancements in CRT technology, just compare this set with a
LCD or plasma. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. What can I say, a wonderful TV for under $300 and free shipping from Amazon. The picture using a DVD is flat out amazing. A real winner you won't regret buying.
great 24" TVCame down to this one vs. the similar offering from JVC. I've always loved JVC products and it was basically a tossup--at 92 dollars less though the toshiba won hands down.
Exceptionally good sound (given the usual limitations of onboard speakers) using just the TV's own speakers...the bbe function does wonders for dialog clarity. I'll probably hook up to a low end surround system though. Great small room TV and the prices of the flat screens have finally gotten to be a real bargain. I highly reccommend.

A Nice product but at a high priceSo this unit is good, but is a bit expensive. For around 150-300 US I believe that full 5.1 PC sound systems can be bought, and they work well.
Excellent external audio device for your PC or audio devices

Great Player, But Bad Batteries!!!
Does everything it says it doesIt is extremly simple to use, if you have a current version of Windows (or mac) , than all you have to do is plug it into your computer's USB, and it will then instantly pop up as a second harddisk on your computer screen (for example, in the My Computer folder in windows).Archos definitly hit the spot in the Ease of use catagory. GREAT as a Laptop companion. I have been able to store more than 45 CDs on my Juke box (I have the 20gb model) and I still have used up only 1/4th of the space on Mp3 format(yes, the music plays clearly and their is a whole menu where you can adjust Bass, Treble, pitch etc. Great on Storage
---------------------------------------------------------------
The only problem I have with jukboxes (yea, all jukeboxes) is that you still can not take this to places where you will be away from AC power, or places where the Jukebox could get damaged. I have recently taken the Jukebox to Austrailia and back, and it has been great on those long flights, but you would have to watch your battery life. (with a cd player, you just have to replace those affordable Alkaline batteries, not with Jukeboxes). It has also has been great on space. It is nearly a hundred times smaller than a CD player + all the CDs you have to carry with it. .
So in conclusion the Archos AV 120 / 140 is PERFECT for home and office use, short trips and short airplain flights. It is also good for vacations where you know you would be visiting a AC power socket for re charging the battery. The only place where the Jukebox does not belong are places where it could get damaged (example, boating) or places where you would be away from power, in those cases, you should take your more durable CD player.
I find Archos AV 120/ AV 140

Wish it has a Greater Capacity1. The belt is wide, so it is comfortable. I hardly feel it around my waist.
2. Well made. I expect this to last me for quite a while.
3. A little too small. Once my CD player is in the case, I cannot fit in much else. I figure that I probably will be able to fit in several CDs without cases behind the player, but that is it. It would be nice if I can fit in my billfold or something.
4. 2 side pockets that can be used to hold spare batteries but not anything bigger than those.
Overall, I am happy with my purchase, but then I got it on sale.
Perfect in every way I care about!1. It only holds 3 CD's, comforably without cases (there are pockets).
2. Hard to mess with CD-player on the move (it gives you a weird angle).
3. A bit tight for some CD-players.
Pros:
1. It fits tightly around the waist, this thing stays put.
2. Very comfortable, it's can be eaisily forgotten about.
3. Lots of extra battery space.
4. Very slim yet it has just enough padding to keep player/CDs safe.
Bottom line: the cons are just picky things on are really great CD-case. I don't see myself getting another one for many years.

Surprising Sound! You can hook up your portable electronic audio equipment like your CD/MP3 player, portable DVD player, even your laptop computer but being able to download MP3/WMA files directly to the unit is a definite PLUS.
It is a little $$$ but it is still a good value. I recommend it to anyone who travels a lot but likes to have decent tunes in their hotel room.
Great for sound in your pocket

Wow what sound!!!I downloaded some songs off my computer and one site and that was it. The sound is great.
I haven't tried to do anything else yet as it isnt user friendly on the instructions for the other stuff, so someday will check it.
It works for what I wanted it for. Very lightweight. Great for just anywhere
WWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW
We're using it in a home gym in the garage.
I have to say that the picture is quite good and the sound equally so.
My dislikes are that the picture tube front is highly polished. If there is a lamp or a glare anywhere, you see it. I had to purchase a glare filter from a company in N. California for US$79.99 to cut the glare by about 50% and make it usable.
I'm sure if it was in the house this might not be a problem.
The other thing is that the remote is not particularly user-friendly. Set-up of the picture is awkward and inconsistent. The remote responds slowly to commands. We have a satellite feed and the TV must stay on channel three, just like a cable feed. If you don't turn on the satellite unit first, the TV won't lock on to channel 3 and goes to 224. A little over-engineered, I would say. Give me snow on channel 3 and let me decide what to do with it.
The unit takes some hard handling by the freight carrier and is packed OK, but now overly well packed. The plastic bezel on the left upper side of the picture tube was bent in shipping. Not enough to file a claim, but not perfect.
It has all the inputs one would ever need, however we're just using it as a simple TV.
The headphone jack placed in a flip-up cover on the front is a plus.
Lots of contrast, color saturation and good focus at all corners.
Overall, most would be quite happy with this unit. For $299 and free shipping, I can't see how one would do much better.
