Sony WM-FX467 Digital AM/FM Stereo Cassette Walkman
Made by Sony

    sensitive buttons
Overall, I think the sound was good but I had trouble with the sensitive AM/FM band buttons. They are raised from the unit itself and if you hit them the channel changes and it is hard to find the station you were listening to, especially since I run while listening. I found this very frustrating. I tried to cover the buttons with something but it still jumped stations frequently. I gave up and bought another Sony walkman (cheaper model) and I am much happier with the dial I can turn myself and the sound is just as good.

    Great Walkman!!
I haven't owned Sony's WM-FX467 very long, but so far it hasn't disappointed. A few minutes programming the digital memory settings makes it too easy to channel surf on the radio and TV. The reception is excellent, although I haven't tested this outside a large city...that might be different--might not. Also excellent in this Walkman is the headphones set--the kind that wrap around behind your neck vs. over your head...southern girls should enjoy this feature as it will keep the Baptist hairdos intact. Also, for bass-freaks like me, the headphones offer just the right amount--tapes and radio/TV reception offer excellent clarity and depth...I bought some after-market headphones thinking it would need the usual upgrade but I wound up keeping the original ones and returned the others--they're really that good. Unlike another company's "brain-shaker" technology, this one keeps your ear drums from imploding.

2 additional things would make this the bomb...a backlit display of the digital screen and the ability to pick up cable-TV stations. But then again, you'd be walkin with some serious cable plugged into your "portable" unit. Well done, Sony!

    Sony WM-FX467
UPS has just delivered the walkman and I have to admit that the radio reception is crystal-clear. The interface is so simple that a child can figure it out. The only thing wrong with it is that the battery level LED tells you that the battery is dead when you still have power.

Good performer, not astounding but nice for what it is
As an inexpensive multiband Walkman this unit is quite nice. Its performance is good on FM and TV, but DO NOT buy this if you want a sensitive AM radio. It does OK with local stations, but is not for the AM DX enthusiast. The tuning is nice with an easy choice of next-step or next-channel. The memories are also straightfoward and a nice convenience. The unit came with surprisingly nice headphones.

    Very satisfied
Having had several other walkmans, I was extremely pleased with all of the features on this particular product. I especially like the more compact size, the extended battery life, and I've found the preset tuning easy to set and simple to use. I enjoy the TV tuning as an added bonus.

Great price plus T.V. sound make this a great walkman.
I boought this walkman because at my job I am allowed to listen to music. Jerry Springer and my soaps make the day slip by. This reception is great and all the availble presets make this a great walkman.

    Decent product for your buck
I wouldn't say that this receiver is versatile or high quality, but for the amount that you pay its a bargain. If you are just an average person wanted to see your movies with better sound than your TV, this receiver will give you that. I have to say that this product just met my expectation (which I didn't expect too much).

    Outstanding
I just bought this unit to replace my SA-VA10 amplified system, Since My DVD player is already digital out ready I didn't need to spend the extra cash for the digital receiver. My advice: If you already have the decoder in your DVD... GET THIS RECEIVER! Sounds great and great controls, lots of options.

    "Blow You Away" Home Theater
I have had my 525 receiver for about six months and I really like it. If I was buying a receiver today, I would probloubly choose to go with the higher model 835 (for its digital/dts decoding built in), but at the time the 525 was perfect, I got my dvd player, also a Sony with the Dolby digital decoder built in, and it works great. The sound will just blow you away. Even with the volume set to 2 out of 10 on the dial it is defeaning. Before I replace this unit I may just add an external dolby digital/dts decoder and get several additional years out of it.

    good tape deck, great price
I've never got around to installing a cd player in my truck, so I still record all of my cds on tape. When my tape deck recently broke, I was faced with a delimma. Buy a new tape deck, or install a cd player in my vehicle. Since I've made over 500 tape recordings of my cd's, I decided to stick with the tape deck. The TEAC W600-R is a great componant for the price. The recordings come out clear, with very little hissing. The functions are icreadibly easy to operate. I haven't yet used the tape to tape dubbing, since most of my recording is done from cds. I would absolutely recommend this recorder. You can't beat the price.

    Good value
Ease of use 10, Sound 9, Transport 8, Look 8, Feel 9, Features 9, Mechanical functions are very noisey.

    Real find!
This is a very simple to use dual deck that sounds great...I found the controls to require a feather touch. The solenoids controling the transport are loud. The transport itself is smooth and noise free. This is as good as it gets at twice the price.

    Not Bose quality
Sorry, the speakers don't attach well, and the quality of these stands is not what I'm used to with a Bose system.

    Excellent Product!
I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to assemble the stands and for how adaptable they are. Any Bose speaker will fit on these stands.

    The Cadillac of speaker stands
Ingenious, elegant, sturdy, easy-to-assemble, functional. As beautifully designed and well-crafted as their speakers. What else do you need to know?

    Multiple uses for this item
After I got rid of my Nomad player, which fit perfectly in this case, I found it also fit my Panasonic AM/FM radio I take running.

What is missing however, is lack of a hard clip. There is a soft loop, but it doesn't hook to running shorts.

    It fits.
What can I say? Everything fits. I've a Nomad IIc (identical in size/shape to the Nomad II) and everything fits. I can stuff my Nomad II, foldable Sony MDR-A34L in-the-ear's, battery, and smartmedia cards into it. With the headphones in, it bulges, and is not a pretty sight. Without, it looks pretty cool. You'll probably get a slimmer case by springing for high quality earbuds, but I am a jogger so those are not practical. I had envisioned I would be able to fit a pair of MDR-A30 Sports in-the-ear headphones in along with my MDR-A34L's, but this was not the case. The material is soft to the touch, not like I was expecting, but should function as a good shock absorber. The logo juts out and mine was a little dirty, but it's definitely very sleek. Inside, the left part houses a pocket and a zipper that unzips near the spine of the case. I fit my belt clip and batteries in there, as well as my smartmedia cards. I put the headphones in the pocket. On the right is webbing to hold your MP3 player, another pocket, this time encompassing the whole case, underneath the webbing. On the outside there is a belt strap (without a strap - you'll have to take off your belt and loop it through the strap). Overall, might have been cheaper, but it's added insurance for your pricey investment. Good product.

    good product
this is an perfect product for people who want there mp3 to be safe and those who travel alot. I have the adiovox1000 and after purchasing it, I took a trip and felt i needed something to keep my batteries, earphones, memory card, and mp3 player in the same place, well this does it.

Its a good item plus a very cheap price!

Don't Buy this Card if You use Windows 2000 or XP!
I bought this card about two years ago and found it to be an excellent value. It offers an incredible amount of functions for the price. However, I have been extremely frustrated with the manufacturer's attitude regarding providing drivers for Windows 2000 and XP. For the longest time, they would not even comment on the possibility of providing drivers for these two operating systems. I migrated to Windows XP about three months ago and have been checking Guillemot's website for drivers practically on a daily basis. Finally, the company provided a small note to the effect that they will provide no 2000/XP drivers for this card. They blame it on the chipset. I can't figure out what difference that makes!

    Once tweaked awesome card.
The card was tempermental when on on Windows 98SE, but once I switched to Windows ME and I am now running a Intel 466mhz Celeron with a 5200rpm Harddrive and 128mbs Dimm Ram. And loading the new current drivers from their website, it is now a flawless system. Worth taking the time to configure to your computer it is well worth the effort. Very versatile and works great with Cakewalk Pro 8.

    better than expected
When running on Windows 98 and having dedicated hard drives for win, audio and cakewalk this card runs great cant beat it for the price.

    a little disappointed in HK
All around this is a good amp, but the truth is that I could have gotten a Sony for half the money that would've been the same, if not better quality. The options for surround are nice (there is a 5 channel stereo), but the "hall" mode gives no echo effect, and the "theatre" mode does nothing for me either. The main reason I really wanted surround and especially the center channel, was to make peoples voices louder while watching DVD's because I run for the remote every time something loud happens. I'm all for the audio experience, but ambients are just too loud in movies these days and I have neighbors who I'm sure will agree with me. Turning the center channel all the way up and the other 4 speakers all the way down does almost nothing. They should have made these buttons actually have an impact on the sound, instead it just seems like all the audio tracks come through the center channel even with the little DTS light "on" that should seperate all the tracks.
Another stinker was that every video out RCA jack was broken right out of the box, (I know this only after a grueling process of elimination). I also must say I'm a little disappointed in amazon too for not double boxing this. It is customary to send expensive components in a DOUBLE BOX so it takes less abuse in transit and is not stolen. I'm never going to purchase something of this granduer online again.

    A great surround sound receiver!
I love the AVR 510 surround sound receiver! With the multiroom audio capability (providing complete, independent control of a second-room audio system from either the primary listening room via the front panel or the included separate Zone 2 remote control), is like owning two receivers in one! The surround sound is exceptional. Speaker levels are adjustable, so you can calibrate the different speaker channels to your own preference. I am still finding out new things and useful features of this unit, but I have been very happy with it thus far. It was well worth the price.

    One HELL of and AMP
This Amp has Blown me away as well as my audience thus far!
When this amp is hooked up correctly...and I mean so it uses its full digital capabilitys with DVD it has killer digital sound...and its other non digital soundstages it has are great! if you listen to other brands you will hear that harman has done a great job with its sound fields and staging
im using it with these components...
sony dvd dvp-n57oop using the fiberoptic cable for digital sound transmission,a pair of jbl floor/bookshelf speakers (8")s338be (front), polk audio for center stage(front), a jbl sub pb12" 250 watt positioned under the TV, bose acusta mass dual cubes for rear fill, and a 36" sony trinitron...
just listen to the blueman group DVD and see if your receiver can keep up with is pace..

I know there are alot of other killer receivers out there but I have found out that this receiver best suits me and my applications... it just keeps on cranking..

    Best Regards!

    Better Spend a Bit More!
I must start by stating that if you are not a demanding client, you will probably be happy with this JVC system. However, for those of us that are a bit more demanding, this systems lacks adequate mid bass. It is not a well balanced system in the sense that you have to turn it up too much for it to sound just OK and even then it sound quite "boxy". I think you would be well off in spending another $ bucks and acquiring much better, and well balanced, equipment.

    Good higher end Reciever
I bought this reciever because I am a fan of JVC products and it seemed like a better than average Reciever. It comes with DTS and Dolby Digital surround. It has room for 6 RCA inputs or 4 RCA and 2 digital (one coaxial and one optical). It can determin if the input is either analog or digital and can switch automatically. If you need a higher end Reciever then this is a rather cheap pick.

    Everything Sounds Much Better Now....
I had my last receiver (Kenwood KR-V7050) for 9 years and it still bangs with the best of them. My only complaint was the lack of audio and video connections in the back for my DVD player, CD-R, Dreamcast, digital cable box, VCR, tape player and sub woofer. After hundreds of plug and unplug to meet my sound needs, I decided to buy a new amp to save on the headaches. JVC has saved me on the stress level with their new RX-7010VBK receiver. This puppy has 5 S-type connections, 3 optical connections, a coaxal digital conn., and your basic Phono/CD/Tape conn. 8 speakers complete my sound room and this receiver puts all 8 to the test with perfect sound vibes from each one.

The remote took some time to adjust to, (after using the same remote for 9 years) but it has now turned into an extra extension of my arm. I love the features this remote offers. The ability to control all speakers individually and also adjust my subwoofer is an extra plus. This receiver has turned me into the complete "couch potatoe". My CDs are clearer, MP3s sound better than CDs, and my DVD/digital cable gives me the complete movie theater vibe. There may be receivers that sound as well as this one, but I doubt if they can sound better. If you want the name brand plus, great sound and a decent price ...... here you go!

    Too Hot to Handle!
Although the sound quality and features of this techniques receiver were very good, its venilation system is extremely poor and it gets very hot. If you have your components in a cabinet, you will not be able to leave this receiver on for very long. I had to return it because I thought the wood shelf above the receiver in my cabinet was going to catch on fire or warp. I had to return the product.

    Great receiver
It is a great receiver, especially for the price. I've had no problems with it and consider it another one of Technics' quality products.

    Low price but Awesome features
THis little receiver does its job exceptionally well. I picked it up at REX for around $140.00 in the box and everything. It has the 6ch DVD input for DVD players with the built-in digital decoder. Every single kindof composite input you would need. The only thing lacking on this is S-video input/output... but for the price I can just port straight to the TV.
