This Thing Is HOT!IT IS OFF DA HOOK!
I got this thing for christmas and this thing is awesome!It has everything u need in a cd player and then some. This is this the best sounding cd player for its price. Ive tried many other ones.It plays Cd-R/Rw. Also although they say it has 45-Second esp, it actually has 45! It never skips. Also this cd player is the best looking one for its price range. It has a clear blue body. Also its heat resistant. It has about 18 hours of battery life if u play it with alotta bass and volume, but can have over 20+ hours.It has a line out and all kinds of other features. It not only has one level of bass boost but 2!(yes thats right....it has TWO!) It has unbelievable bass. I have no cons about this cd player other than the cheap headphone but hey, do any come with great one?Trust me this is a GREAT buy.

I bought this to record from vinyl and cassette. Looked into doing it on a Mac but sound cards for the Mac are damn near impossible to find. But I'm glad that I bought this JVC. It does everything I want it to do, just requires reading the manual (and keeping it nearby). Recording is fairly simple for just recording from CDs, more complicated for analog sources. Duping CDs is fast and done in a quarter of the playing time. My only quibble is that the machine takes too long to read a freshly inserted disc in the player trays and to switch discs. Also, for anyone who requires an accurate clock, the clock in this falls behind. I don't pay attention to the clock anyway. There's also a timer for recording stuff off the radio at certain times so an inaccurate clock could be a problem. Plenty of useful options-manual track marking (necessary for vinyl), control over spaces between tracks, ability to play MP3s, ability to switch recording modes from track to track.

This is the best cd player I have ever had. The sound is awsome, pretty easy to learn what the buttons do, The remote for it is very good cause there are not any small buttons. It looks awsome and the radio is very good. The anti-shock is 45 seconds for normal cd's and 120 seconds for mp3's. The head phones are horrible so i recommend on buying better ones. over all this is a reliable cd player.

This is an excellent product. I installed it in no time. It has a nice display that continuously changes colors or you can set it to just one color. It has two RCA jacks and you can connect a Cd-changer to it as well. Not to mention the detachable faceplate and remote.

For around 130 bucks you really can't go wrong with this beauty. Sharp sound, great functionality, and of course it's a Kenwood - which, as far as car audio goes, can't be beaten. don't delay, buy one today!

This review is only about how valuable the security features can be. The flip top face and the security code make this receiver better than any that don't have these features. This stereo was the only one that outlived the life of my car. That's where I'm coming from. If you have had your stereo stolen, then you know what it feels like to be violated. I don't know if it is coincidence or the stereo, but this is the highest priced stereo I've owned, yet the only one not stolen out of my car. I believe that thieves know that this type of stereo is useless or not worth the trouble to them without the access code.

The KDC516S suited my needs with regard to ease of use, looks, power, and like I said, security. I can't compare it to other stereo's that have these features, because this is the only one I know about.

My point is this, if you are trying to decide between two receivers and one of them has the flip top and/or security code feature, get the one with the security, it will sound better than the empty space that could appear in your dash if you don't.

We needed at least one boom box for our Church Sunday School so that we could play tapes and CDs. After pursuing a donation of a used boom box from our congregation members - to no avail - I shopped the net and found what we needed. Thank You Amazon.com.

Anyway - the boom box has a great room-filling sound level. The bass boost is a necessity since the non-boost bass sounds somewhat cheap. The bass boost does an excellent job on all sound reproduction, radio, tapes, and CDs.

The radio reception is very satisfactory.

To load a CD, you lift a lid. No push button mechanism to break. The CD needs to spin a short while to transfer the track information. Then you have all the typical controls - next track etc.

One bit of difficulty is that the tape controls are embossed into the case - same color as the case - and somewhat hard to see.

For occasional musical requirements - this is the inexpensive solution!

I have used LaCie drives before in the past and I have been impressed. Unfortunetly this product does not properly fit inside of an Apple G5. When I try to eject the drive, it gets stuck unless I manually force it out. There is no problem with the drive itself, its simply a flaw in the design of G5, I would however recommend it for a Windows/Linux based PC.

Hey it works great, does what it is supposed to do, ..., I got exactly what I expected to get for the money, and it has worked well for 6 months now, been dropped, and had the usual use, and rough handeling. Good Stuff Good Price. Buy one you'll see.
