    I would recommend this!
This is a nice, inexpensive, "cute" (yet elegant) system that fits anywhere.

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for something practical that sounds great, and who doesn't want to waste their money!

The sound quality, by the way, is quite powerful. I was surprised that this sounds much better than many large stereos I've heard.

    TAKE A HIKE BOSE
This unit is excellent. I got past flashing lights and meters years ago. I wanted something the looked clean and sounded great and the JVC FS-H35 fits the bill. The sound is superb, even with tapes made from original 40 year old Herb Alpert albums!!! The functions are easy to work and it even has bass and treble controls, unlike the BOSE Wave/CD I listened to in one of the Bose outlet stores. I think the JVC sounds just as good and maybe even a bit better. Plus, JVC was not arrogant enough to think they know exactly how I need to hear my music. I listened to many brand name mini/micro sytems up to $200 in my search for a replacement system after my old one went ka-put. This JVC by far was the best sounding system in the $100-$200 price range including Panasonic, Sony and RCA. If you want a small system for the bedroom or den, you can't go wrong with this one. One note: If buying for the bedroom, a small piece of black electrical tape is good to cover the red standby light. It is a bit bright

    Everything I wanted and more!
Ok, bear with me, there is a story to this, fortunately with a happy ending. I will try to keep it short.

I wanted a small stereo for the bedroom, nothing fancy (I have my fancy stuff in the a/v room). Just wanted a good system that was compact and inexpensive.

First I bought an Emerson cd player ES8 since it was on sale for $59.00 and looked cute and sounded fine in the store.... brought it home and within a week the cd player was skipping, the radio was flipping out and the music, when it did play, was overshadowed with squeeks and whirring sounds from the machine.. I think it was possessed.. hehe.. Anyway, needless to say I returned the piece of rubbish and replaced it with a JVC for a few bucks more (should have done that in the first place.. still kicking myself!)

Aaaaah! Now this JVC FS-H35 is exactly what I was wanting. A reliable system with great sound, nice minimalist/industrial look, simple yet ingenious in design and electronics, with nice features like autoreverse and one-touch recording on the tape deck. And random play and programmable play on the cd player. Extra features like timer/sleep fxn's. The remote is great and has all the fxn's available on it, for real ease of use. Most importantly, the speakers, though small, put out a great sound, with none of the nasty tinny sound that you get on most cheaper stereos. The bass boost is adequate (more than adequate I should say, for this size of system) and provides an enjoyable listening experience, which is all I wanted in the first place. I mean, is that too much too ask for? I never owned a JVC before, but I am definitely a believer after this experience!

      sweet
      This system is the best
The sound is the best ever. Great for rap. The woofer vents let out enough pressure to shoot out a tennis ball(don't try this) the sub woofers are so strong they supposedly knocked a glass off my brotthers desck whose rooom is acroos the house.
Bottom line if you want a sweet compact stereo system with a lot of power this is it.

The JVC HX-Z10 is so Great!!!(Nicholas)
I love everything about this stereo!
      1.The price
      2.The Deep Bass
      3.Plus the excellent sound quality!
This is an upgrade from my last Aiwa Mini System and a great upgrade too!
My Recommendation is to definately buy it!
      Good Things:
      1.JVC Brand Name
      2.Power Output
3.Fan cooled to prevent damage and improve performance
      4.It's Great!!!
      Bad:
      ABSOLUTLEY NOTHING.
      You won't be sorry!

      Tower of Power
This stereo system is a big upgrade from my last AIWA mini-system. This JVC puts out over 450 watts and delivers a deep bass and high vocals. It delivers clear, sharp sound no matter how loud you play it. There is no distortion. The different sound modes like Live and Hall add to the experience and when the best part of your favorite song comes you can hit Sound Turbo to amp up the volume another level.
The tuner works well also, pulling in many stations. This is a good buy and well worth the price for the power it delivers and the sharpness you can hear.

      Brainshaker
This is one of the best cd players that I have ever used. It will not skip when jogging nor will the batteries fall out because they are mounted on the inside. The headphones have a great sound will excellent bass. The case is made of metal for the most part which brings up the weight but helps a lot when it is droped. The only downsides to this player are that the clips for holding it shut are plastic and not very durrable, and after awile the headphones start to hurt the ears.

      Great product!
I've had this discman for two years, maybe a little more, and it is incredibly durable. I listen to it constantly - when I'm exercising, walking to school, sleeping, doing homework, etc. and it has always performed without fail. I've dropped it numerous, numerous times, even on the cement, and no damage has been done. I've worn it in heavy rain, dropped it in the water, and it still works.
If you are looking for a quality discman, this is definatley the best choice out there.

      the real sports mac daddy
i have the panasonic slsw860 witch is the same thing as this execpt it doesnt come with the brainshaker headphones and it is good it doesnt skip at all i fell off my bike or u could say i was launched off of it and nothing happend the sound is also good but not as good as it could be cause the skip protection degrades the sound its got the phatest cover and its made out of metal witch is real good if your thinking about getting the sony des51 dont cause the screen goes out and it never turns on i had one belive me and thats why i got this one and it made in japan so thats real good you always want that in a cd player so make the right choice

      Great Little Package!
I have an older model of this player. I've had it for two years and it's still working quite well. It's very small/portable, attractive, and durable (it's been dropped a couple of times and still plays with no problems). Sound is great for the small size.

      Great Gift!
This is a great gift idea! I bought it for my 13 year old daughter for her birthday this summer and she loves it! She can take it anywhere and it sounds great too. I shopped around and this was the best looking boombox I found!

      Perfect for the Office!
I was looking for a CD player for my office, and this one caught my eye primarily because it's attractive -- I like the curved design and the color scheme. It also works great. The sound is clear, and I've never had any problem with the CD or tape decks, or encountered any problem taping things from CDs. Even after four years of abuse! I occasionally have problems picking up radio stations, but I attribute this largely to the fact that my office is in a deep, dank basement where signals may be faint at best. The thing I love most about this box is that it's very compact, but the sound quality is great whether I'm playing Nine Inch Nails or Boccherini's cello concertos. I also love the fact that the small size makes it convenient to take along to the classroom, should I decide to use music in my lectures. If you're looking for something fancy, you might want to try another unit. If you're looking for a compact, attractive unit for simply playing CDs or tapes, then this is a great choice.

Great Funky Style And Sound Quality
This is actually a review of Sony CFD-E75 CD/Radio/Cassette Boombox (Silver), exact thing except color. I "borrowed" this from my wife when I found I didn't have any cassette players (except in a car) and had to listen to a cassette. I was impressed by the sound quality for spoken word cassettes. Everything sounds normal like a human is talking! I've also listened to music cassettes and music CD's and am just amazed at how good this sounds. The "wheel" for selecting CD tracks is a great idea and is used for tuning the radio when in "radio" mode. That makes it easy to find your station.Speaking of which, this model has a "real" three section, rotating antenna, not a skinny little wire hanging out the back What won me over though was the FM AND AM reception on the radio section of this item. We live in an area where the big broadcast antenna are on a hill real close to our home so we've always had problems with radio reception. A good adjustable Bass with the Sony "Mega Bass" button does change the sound noticably. I like the styling and I keep the thing on the night stand next to my head so haven't needed the remote. I guess I'll let my wife keep that. HA HA

This was a good purchase. She swears she got it for considerably less than the price shown. But even at the price shown, I think it's darn well worth it!
      Highly Recommended!

      Great product!
I LOVE this boombox. I got it for Christmas, and it has never given me any trouble at all. Worked right away, great sound too. I highly recommend it.

      Love the Remote
I received this as an Xmas present to use at my office. Great sound and I love the remote. I had to place this on a high shelf in my office and having the remote makes it easier to operate!

      TIGHT
I am a teenager, and you know how teens like thier music. I just got the system and i am already falling in love with it. It has a whole @#$! load of bass and is very clear. I highly sugest it. 3 thumbs up. LOL

      Awesome
This is an Awesome system to own. What attracted me to this item was that is was compact and consisted of all the features I was looking for like the 5 cd changer, high wattage, woofer and surround speakers and the digital feature. The price was within reason and you will get plenty of listening pleasure. The bass and the sound are excellent. I highly recommend this product. You won't be disappointed.

      Stunning
Real audiophiles will likely laugh at me for saying this, but I have never had a really good stereo before and I wanted to treat myself (of course, if I had waited 10 days I would have gotten it at the new lower price). This system is a dream. It is easy and fun to use and it sounds GREAT!! I had the whole house vibrating when the volume was only set halfway to max. I really thought it was a great buy and now that the price is lower it should be harder to resist.

      GREAT SOUND - GREAT RECEPTION
This radio is hands down the best clock radio available in the world.

I love radios and own the Tivoli Model One, the CCradio, and now this one.

The sound quality AND reception on FM are great on this radio, and better than you will get on any Clock Radio. Probably any radio other than the Model One which is equal in reception on FM, and also has great sound.

But I did not expect the not only great reception, but amazing fidelity of the AM on this Boston Acoustics, which is better than it is on the Model One, and just as good as the Ccradio.

The best feature of this radio, is that you can mix AM and FM stations together in the presets, which are not from just 4 or 5 buttons, but in a rotating knob. You can put stations in any order, and have an FM station, than an AM, or any combination in the presets, and not have to change the band to AM and FM like in all other radios when using presets between the two.

Sleep functions, snooze that you can extend snooze periods just by how many times you hit the snooze button to add more snooze time, just a fantastic radio that you will never be sorry you purchased, and realize that the high price was well worth it.

Only a few decades ago, most people did not have stereo systems that sounded as good as this radio. Don't be fooled by it's size, the bass response on this tiny radio is as if it had a subwoofer attached to it.

Usually in a radio, the AM is an after thought and never any good, but the AM tuner in this radio had as much quality in design as the FM part.

Just listening to a voice of an announcer on an FM station will be enough to realize how amazing the sound is on this radio.

I will be buying more of these radios for other rooms of the house.

I still love the Tivoli Audio Model One. I, as many others, can not find a favorite between these two, they are both great in their own ways and I love both of them equally in sound and reception on the FM, but for a bedside radio, then THIS one is the winner hands down.

I took my Ccradio away from the bed, and replaced it with this one.

Great sound and easy to use
This is a great clock radio, small footprint but BIG sound. Very easy setup and the external antenna connector lets my rooftop antenna pull in some great stations over 75 miles away. You will not be disappointed, it's worth the extra cash. The bass out of the single speaker beats the Bose FM/CD tabletop players hands down.

      My Favorite Clock Radio
Boston Acoustics loudspeakers have been a part of my audio system for twenty years, but I bought the Recepter because the company claimed its FM reception to be good.

They weren't kidding. No other radio or tuner I've owned beats the Recepter in that regard, and most of them cost more. It's exceptionally good at picking out weak and distant signals from among closer and stronger ones. The radio has connections for specialty aerials, but I've gotten along fine with just the wire antenna that came with it.

The simple controls are nearly perfect. I like having rotary volume and tuning controls, instead of all those tiny push-buttons that populate a lot of electronics. The station presets and clock functions are very easy to use, and the display is informative and easy to read.

None of this would mean much if the Recepter didn't sound good, and it does. The vented cabinet and "BassTrac" circuit make for more bass than I thought was possible from such a small radio. Enough, in fact, that it can be a bit much if the Recepter is placed too close to a corner, or too far back on a bookshelf. Keep it a little distance from a wall or other boundary though, and the boominess goes away.

I'm an FM radio nut, and I tried out a number of other hi-fi clock radios: the Bose Wave, Cambridge SoundWorks 730, and Tivoli's Model Three. I liked all of them, but the Recepter was the best combination of features, sound, and price.

      Great Price
I own a ton of cds and I really like to set this 25 disc changer stereo to random and let it play! The Random really works and you barely hear the same song twice. Also you can program it to play the tracks you want off of your 25 cds! Great for partys that are too spur of the moment to have a live dj. The speakers are just ok, you can probley get better ones added for a party.
My One complaint is, too bad you can't add cds while its playing cds. So have a cassete tape to play while your switching out cds as to not interrupt the flow of music at your party.

      Everything you could want
I bought this stereo because of the price and the Pioneer name. I have been nothing but happy with it. The 25 disk changer is nearly impossible to find in compact models but very easy to get use to. My only complaint is that the clock is 24hrs, without an option to change to 12hrs. The speakers and sound options make this stereo great for movie sound, playing live recordings and background for parties. Big thumbs up!

      addition to previous review..
after playing with this unit more, I discovered that it is possible to fast forward through songs on the CD's -- you have to use the controls on the unit itself -- the remote is not equipped to do this.

      i still love this stereo!

      Just perfect!
After researching, looking at, and buying (then returning) several compact CD/Radio combos (I wanted it to go from kitchen to bathroom, but didn't have room for a boombox) I can finally rest. The Sony Liv Shower Radio is small, easily carried around with its attached handle, and has great sound--no distortion as volume is increased, and no background fuzziness. The one quibble, which I only noticed in the store as I compared it to the matching new Sony Dream Machine CD player, is that the Dream Machine gets much louder and still maintains the integrity of sound--but you have to plug it in, so you aren't going to be carrying it anywhere. That being said, mine is in the kitchen right now on a low-to-middle volume setting, and I can hear it out here in the living room--so it's loud enough, for sure. Love it!

      I love it!
The Sony Liv Shower Cd Player/clock radio has far exceeded my expectations. I live in a rural area, and with other radios, I have always had trouble bringing in stations clearly. The Sony Liv has clear, crisp sound, excellent fine tuning, and the CD Player and clock are an added bonus! It's an excellent package.

I highly recommend this product and would not hesitate to purchase another.

      GREAT product!
After reading many reviews on many different shower radios, this was the only shower/radio/cd player I've found with good reviews, so I decided to buy it. I love it! It's nice being able to listen to the news in the morning in the shower, and the sound quality is great, totally clear. The only cons Ive found is the price, but it IS worth it, and the volume doesnt go up as high as Id like. Other than that, it's the best Ive found.
