    great value
these little suckers have some punch, plus some accuracy, and I am a jazz/classical listenter, not overly enamored by bass gimmicks

    good replacements-good price
this is a great pair of replacement headphones, sounds good, feels good and they fit well on the head. i would recommend these headphones as a replacement for any OEM phones and at [a good price], it just doesn't get any better.

    Great sound for its price
I've had these for a few months, and I have been very pleased. They are comfortable, the cover is not the normal cheap foam - it feels more like the large studio headphones.

They also block out alot of sound with a small size, and have great range. My music has alot of depth with these, which makes a big difference over other headphones.

The cord is long, making them very useful for my daily commute as well as use at the computer. They fold to a pretty compact size and fit easily into the included pouch.

My only complaint is that after about 45 minutes, they start to feel a little snug.

    Does the job but...
I have this at work. It does the job okay, but people sometimes have a hard time hearing what I say, even though I have the speaking volume turned all the way up. The other drawback is that you can't switch out headsets with it - you only can use the monoaural headset that comes with it, which isn't so good for noisy environments.

Other than that, I have been using it for over 6 months now and it has been working well enough to keep.

    Works perfectly for me
I first wanted to respond to a concern about terrible screeching when used in office multi-phone conditions. I can't speak to multiple S10's in the same office but did have a screech on first try to another extension. The amplifier, however, has 7 configuration settings. I found several settings worked for outgoing calls but only two worked for both in office and outgoing use. So if a second headset is bought in my office I'll respond to whether we could find a configuration setting for both headsets that worked. I supposed that just confuses the concern.

The earhook setup is light and I find that I forget I'm wearing it until I run into the cord turning my chair or standing up. It is nice that nothing actually sits inside my ear but rather it rests gently on the outside.

Volume wise: In addition to adjusting the volume and tone of incoming signal it really has power available to broadcast your voice out. There are two ranges available for output as well as a volume in each range. The highest range is too much but it is good to know its there if I ever get someone complaining they can barely hear me (as happened all the time with a previous headset system).

    Great headset
Easy to set up, great volume controls, and very comfortable. Recommend highly!

    Great Product, Almost Perfect
First off, I have owned a lot of noise canceling headsets, and this one takes the cake. By far the best one I have ever used. You can literally whisper and be heard with perfect clarity on the other side. As was mentioned in an another post, the rubberized portion that fits behind your ear could use a little work, it does get worn and the rubber cracks on mine. Overall the fit is decent, but is sometimes hard to get just right as theboom is very pliable and hence subject to rearrangement every time you take it off.

I only have one major problem with theBoom and that is the lack of an inline button. Many (most) headsets have a button inline with the cord that can be used for different features with your phone. Often this button is used to mute, but on many Samsung devices, this button is used to activate the voice dial. Theboom does not have an inline button and hence makes it a bit of a pain to communicate with devices use this feature.

Overall a great product, but for the pricetag, I wish they would address this concern.

a MUST for a truly mobile professional
I have tried many headsets before theboom and had never got used to any one of them, as none of them were worth using or even worth buying.
With theboom it has been a different story. The best part is that I am now truly mobile!; with my handheld and theboom I can take and make calls from anywhere and no one realizes I am not in my office.

I take and make lot of my calls during my train commute. I can whisper on the boom and still be heard on the other side without any background noise that would give away my location. Due to the fact that I am whispering, my neighbours can't hear me at all, so I am worried about being overheard.

Overall it has changed the way I use my cell phone. So if you do business on your cell phone, you should buy it.

Best Headset Ever - "you have to try it to believe"
I was a little skeptical at first when I saw this headset on TechTV, but decided to buy it since I really needed a quality headset. I use the headset with a cell phone and at work on a regular phone. Every time I use it, I am reminded that this headset is worth every penny and more. Noise cancellation is excellent and the other parties are oblivious to you being in a crowded room or outside in traffic.
The latest model comes with an ear piece that directs sound into your ear canal in noisy environments and has a comfortable over-the-ear holder that keeps the headset in place.
I have recommended this to friends and co-workers time and time again. Once you try this, you'll never go back to anything else.

    Convenient, but...
It's definately a nice item to have... at first. I got mine so that I could use it with my computer, and be able to change the sound level without going through menus and unplug the headphones easily without having to crawl behing the computer, so that I could use them with my stereo. It worked great for about 3 months, however, it's wearing out - the headphone port has broken loose in the casing, and I have to fidget with it for a minute to get the plug all the way in (otherwise, sound only comes out one side). Due to the way it's constructed, the dial for the volume will keep it from getting any worse, so I'll still be able to use it, but it sure is annoying when I'm trying to move between things.

    Nice, very useful
I use this on my computer. Yeah, there's software volume controls - but they require dropping out of whatever you're doing to set, and differ from program to program. It's far more convenient to be able to reach over and make a little adjustment without effecting what you're working on. Also, the sound quality isn't effected - I used to plug my headphones into a set of speakers to do the same thing, but it resulted in static and noise that degraded the music; this volume control retains the clarity of the music.

    Very functional
This is a surprisingly useful gadget, as it serves as an extension cord and volume control. The extension cord aspect adds about 3 feet to your headphone, which gives me a lot more room to move when I am listening to music on my computer. The volume control is handy when using a portable player because you can change the volume without jostling the player.

    Great headset but...
I bought two of these headsets. They have great sound quality compared to several others I have tried. The problem is that these headsets tend to break. Both of mine did after about a year of use. The problem is in the headband. It is adjustable and while bending it to put it on or take it off, it breaks at the point where it adjusts. In one case rendering the headset useless, in the other usable (but annoying because it comes apart) with a liberal application of rubber band.

    Still great...
I wrote the review below. I tried the Panasonic model KX-TCA86 headset (which is more expensive) and found it to have lower sound quality than the KX-TCA60. I am very particular about sound quality as I am a sound engineer. I can assure you that the KX-TCA60 is one of the best sounding headsets around. Another reviewer complained about the size of the microphone and wind-screen. I find it acceptable and it is probably one of the main reasons this headset sounds good. (In general microphones with bigger diaphragms sound better.)

For the price this headset is very hard to beat, if not impossible. If it breaks you're out ~$10. Big deal, buy another one. You could buy several and still spend less money than a fancier headset that probably doesn't sound as good.

    Excellent headset!
I just bought my first Panasonic headset. I have tried other headsets in the past mostly over the ear and have found them rather uncomfortable. This is my first over the head headset and I love it. Sound quality is really good. Works well with my home phone and cell phone. The price here at Amazon is also unbeatable. If you're looking for a headset, definitely give this one a try.

Great for speach recognition and books on tape.
This is a great headset if you are doing any speach recognition. Once you use it for a little while (or right when you start if your computer is already trained to your voice), it gets your commands right about 98% of the time. Expecially for me, that's a hudge improvement from my internal mic.

It's very confortable, and it's able to change sizes, and it can cover everything from my small head to my brother's large head.

It's sound is fine for the computer's voice, books-on-tape Mp3 files, and anything along that. Games and Stereo music sounds okay, but not recommended. It's not made for that, although it is fine if you don't mind it much. But be warned, this is not for people playing games like Quake all the time.

Lastly, the main problem is the cord. It isn't a problem if you are a long way from your sound input/headphone jack, but it is very long, and can sometimes get in the way. If you use a twist-tie and wrap it up, you should be fine, though.

All in all, a good purchase if you want to do speach, but not good for 3D and stereo games and music.

    Good for games.
I bought this set to use the new voice communication in Counter-strike and other games alike. It works great, for games and just talking over the internet like on AIM. For the Price Amazon.com is selling it at, its a steal. I strongly suggest this set to anyone not sure of what gaming mic they want. Or if you just want to talk to people over the internet or whatever you use a mic for. I have found no flaws.

Best headset for the price of 20 bucks!!!!!
This plantronic headset is great for internet telephony and i highly recommend it as i have been using it for over a year. For under 20 dollars its a good deal..

    Good Old-fashioned volume knob!
How many times have you cursed the almost ubiquitous little volume "up" and "down" arrows on most new electronics? They are hard to press and they take forever to adjust. Here's your chance to get a decent under-cabinet clock/radio with a large, simple, functional volume knob located conveniently on the side. That alone is reason to give this unit serious consideration. I actually purchased this for my garage to go under the cabinets above my workbench (I have the Salton "ICEbox" in the kitchen, but that's over 2 grand). Its only weak point is the speaker output is not quite powerful enough - at higher volumes, distortion becomes evident. However, at most normal listening volumes, it sounds fine.

    Careful what you wish for.
I gave one of these to my wife six months ago, after being less than impressed by reviews of the equivalent GE product. Basically, I wanted something that would pull in her 3 public radio stations and offer me incentive to feed the cats. Trouble is, the darn thing requires installation--which took me 4-5 hours not counting the five months I simply thought about doing it.

The pluses: It seems very solid and durable, is a no-brainer to operate, and produces relatively high-frequency (if a bit hollow-sounding) fidelity.

Minuses: It's deeper than I'd bargained for. The only under-the-cabinet space that would accommodate it was in a corner. Curiously, Sony's instructions warn against installing it near florescent lighting. (What are you supposed to do--rewire your kitchen?) This may explain why radio reception, while decent, is hardly startling. Only by fiddling with the electrical cord (which does double duty as an antenna) can I get acceptable sound on most of the fringe (40-70 miles out) stations. If only manufacturers would scrap some of the automatic features and station memory banks in favor of more sensitive and selective tuners. And, true, the unit has a "mega-bass" switch with a single setting--but does anyone remember the days when radios came with a handy little knob called a "tone control"?

All in all, a well-made product offering solid performance and value. An excellent gift for the handyman in the family.

    Love this radio!
This is a great item! No trouble with installation. Great sound from the radio and also the cd player. Very easy to use! The price just can't be beat. I am very happy with this product and would highly recommend it!

    Nice headphones but still bulky
I have an average size head and love to watch movies late at night at my paper-thin walled apartment and hence needing to find an excellent light headphone. I get one out of two demands from the Sennheiser headphones HD580. The headphones sounds great but after 30 min. with the headphones I'm ready to take the weights off my head, I placed the item back into the box for a return.

    Sennheiser HD580 with DSP
The Sennheiser 580s are accurate, detailed, balanced-- across the board good. The 580s redefined the industry standard for sound and comfort. They have tight bass and present an open, airy, reserved sound that is--well good. These comfortable, durable headphones do require an amp-- at 300ohms they're a bit overwhelming for a portable.

    Sennheiser 580 with DSP Pro
    These are phenomenal headphones.

First, people who claim that the HD-580 has inferior sound quality to any other headphone made or possible are imagining things. This is understandable if they've either bought substantially more expensive 'phones or believe in mystical powers conferred on audio signals by fancy wires, or whatever. If you do not fall into these categories, you will be as satisfied by the HD-580 as you can hope to be by mere headphones.

They're not particularly sensitive, and those claiming they get noticeable bass distortion at listenable levels are undoubtedly driving them from an underpowered source. With decent amplification, as from a dedicated amp or a good preamplifier, you won't find distortion at noticeable levels before you damage your hearing.

The DSP Pro, which generally comes bundled with the remaining supplies of the HD-580, really is a disappointment. I use it at the office as a simple amplifier to get a bit more volume, but when the effects processing is on sound quality becomes miserable, with the high frequencies particularly drastically affected. This is actually a shame, because the spatial effect is pretty decent. On stereo recordings so poorly mixed that entire instruments are present only in the left or right track, something rather disconcerting to hear over headphones, switching on the effects really smooths out the sound and helps pull it out of your head. The mangling of high frequencies is just too much to bear, though-- it sounds as if the vocals are coming from the bottom of a well.

For video games and so on, where fidelity to the signal is perhaps less important, I don't find it so objectionable, and it does do its job there.

These are one of the true bargains in hi-fi while the leftover stock remains. Unless you're one of the aforementioned nuts, there will never come a time when you wish you'd purchased a "better sounding" model. It will be quite obvious that such a thing is a pipe dream.

    Just buy one of these!

    Metal detector equipment
This isn't really a review of the product, but just as a warning, don't buy these headphones thinking they're for stereo equipment. These are metal detector headphones - I have no idea what the previous reviewer was talking about..

Consider this a fair warning for otherwise dubious equipment.

    TERRIFIC
I AM SO GLAD I BOUGHT THESE HEAD PHONES.

    QUALITY NO QUESTION

Got these for my 9-year old step-son
My husband and I got these headphones for his 9-year old son who lives in Ocala, Florida. He loves them. They aren't too heavy, and really allow him to listen carefully. When a 9-year old can concentrate on something for longer than five minutes, you know it's a good product! They took some getting used to, but after three weeks, he's doing very well, and doesn't even notice that he has them on.

If only a little more comfortable...
these headphones are wonderful especially for the price - if the earpieces were just a little softer for those of us who wear them for extended walks and commutes, they would be perfect - soundwise, no complaints at all!

Review for EarHugger EH-510 Middle Ear Headphone
These headphones are perfect for teen bus rides or long trips where there is limited space for extras. Their sound quality was great for this type of headphone. All-in-all, I gave these phones a four star rating for their sound quality but somewhat uncomforatble earpieces.

Review for EarHugger EH-510 Middle Ear Headphone
These are great earphones. Great sound and comfortable fitting. I would recommend them for anyone. I liked them so much, I'm buying another pair for my other walkman.
