Great Balance of Quality and Value
Deep, loud Bass, Extremely comfortable to wear. High quality sound, quite accurate. Heard details on my music I've never heard before. Great Balance of Value and Quality. Only downfall is that they are plastic.

    Great reference headphones
For the price these are great headphones. I use them for recording and listening to music. They are great for reference.
    A+++.

Excellent headset for classical music listener! :-)
Two Thumbs Up! When I tried this headset with some of classical music CDs ( DDD, ADD, AAD ) and OGG ( 500Kbps Max_Value ) files made by them ( I tested them! :-) ), it is very different from other general headsets. It expresses music and sound with more deep and sharp with very sophisticated voices; therefore, each of instruments in orchestra expresses its discrete sounds very cleary. :-) I think that it has huge value with the price. Low price with high quality sounds. :-) I'm also satisfied with the volume control in the headset, especially for the volume level. When I listen to a classical music, i turned on the volume level with 55/100%. It is too loud for me to listen a music over 60/100%. I really recommend this headset when you are especially a classical music listener. It will be excellent choice for you.

    Affordable Digital Recording. GREAT VALUE!!!
The other reviewers wrote some great info about this Microphone. Some drawbacks are the relatively bulkyness of this unit as compared to others.

The sound quality is sufficiently clear when recording, but is not sensitive enough to satisfy the most demanding users such as musicians or professional reporters. As the other reviewers have said, you need a relatively loud source as there is no sensitivity switch or zoom feature. It does have the 90-120 degree switch, so you can toggle the range depending on what you are recording.

This microphone is very compatible with many different devices. MD is the best though.

Here's one MD player recorder that I know has the microphone jack and works great with this microphone:
'Sony MZ-NF810CK Net MD MiniDisc Recorder with Car Kit'

However, don't be fooled. Not every MD player has the appropriate Mic Jack. Double Check the technical documentation to make sure. Units that definitely do not have it are:
'Sony MZ-NE410 High Speed Net MD Walkman Recorder'

Notice the deceptive "Recorder" moniker in the product name. Don't be fooled! Very few MD "recorders" actually record with a microphone!

    Not sure about these:
'Sony MZ-NF610 High Speed Net MD Walkman Recorder'
'Sony MZ-N510CK NetMD Walkman/Recorder with Car Kit'
'Sony MZ-N505 Net MD Walkman Player/Recorder'

Do your research before purchasing any MD player. All in all, this is a good value and pretty good quality for a digital microphone.

This mic is great for the price
If you look around you'll see that this mic is one of the most popular for recording concerts, lectures, etc. I found it to be clear when recording, although there needed to be moderate volume. There is no sensitivity switch. It does have the 90-120 degree switch, so you can increase the scope of recording. The unit is built well, and comes apart easily to allow replacement of the battery, which should last a long time. When using this microphone, make sure if the volume level reaching you is not high enough, position it better, like one other reviewer said, or spend the extra money and get a zoom microphone. Also an mp3 player that allows digital recording comes in really handy.

Simple setup - excellent price point for recordings
I use the MS-MS907 microphone on a weekly basis. My main use of this microphone is to record lectures and it does a good job of it. Of course microphone placement is the key to a good recording but the MS907 provides a good pickup at this price point. It operates on a single AA battery and is highly efficient with energy consumption. Another feature I like about this microphone is that it provides two pickup pattern (90degrees for an individual speaker and 120degrees to accomodate a chorus).

I would recommend investing in either a minidisc recorder or a MP3 recorder.

      Great Comfort, Good Sound
These headphones have great sound quality, but are a little annoying because of a lack of in line sound control. They work great on a bus or in traffic, because they do not completely block out the world around you. They also are very stylish, with 4 color palletes included. The cord often gets tangled, but they come with a thing to wrap it around. All in all, these are a good pair of headphones

      Great Product
The Aiwa HP-EC3 Ear Clip Design Headphones are a great buy. They are great because two people can listen at the same time and you don't have to stick anything in your ear.

      Decent cans for the price
I'm not a true audiophile, but to my untutored ears these headphones sound pretty decent. Bass is rich, and they're able to handle whatever volume my ears can tolerate without distortion. They're quite comfortable and would probably fit just about everyone, unless maybe you have a particularly small head.

I wouldn't describe the sound from these as spectacular, but you probably won't find anything spectacular in this price range. Overall, I'm pleased with them.

      Great "cans" ! (in audiospeak)
My good ol' Sony MDR-V6's finally gave up the ghost, so I was in the market for a replacement. After comparing endless reviews and specs, I figured I'd take an educated chance on these. (JVC for headphones? Whodathunkit? I began my search w/the usual suspects- Sennheiser,Koss,Sony etc.).
I strongly recommend these! They have 50mm drivers (which helps in every way) and have a wide frequency response (12-25k Hz. which is beyond the 20-20 audible spectrum- get an extra pair for your dog!). I was tempted to get the HAG77's, but the only difference is that the frequency response is even wider (10-25...get this extra pair if you have space alien friends!).
      Happy listening!

      Fair for the price
Noise cancellation is adequate considering the price.

      Positives:
      Handy retractable cord
      Decent battery life
      Comfortable

      Negatives
      Noise cancellation uneven between earcups

This is the second pair of these headphones I have tried. I returned the first pair because it seemed as though the cancellation was not equal on the left side. I even flipped the phones around and sure enough, one side sounded different. My second pair behaved in the same way and I concluded that the microphone on the top of the earcup must have been obstructed by the headband.

Overall, a good entry level setup however my next purchase will be the Sennheiser PXC 250. They offer better cancellation abilities and music reproduction. Or, if you really wish to go all out, there are the Bose. . .

      Good mid-range headphones
I bought these to use with my Ipod, especially on long haul flights. They fold down to a compact size so are excellent for travel. Sound quality is excellent when listening to music. The full shell earphone is comfortable and the noise cancelling function cuts out a lot of low frequency sound. Priced in the middle of the range I think these are great value.

      Very good product
While others have complained about the upgraded (30) model of this player skipping, I have never had such a problem with this player skipping in mp3s even after dropping it on concrete and using it in my partially leaf-sprung truck for weeks.
What this player does do is DISPLAY ID3 TAGS and play very loudly out of the headphone jack (gets slightly distorted @ loudest possible setting). The headphones that came with it were no good at all, as are all "free" headphones. This is possibly the easiest to navigate player I've used; all the critical buttons are there and spaced and sized so as to feel different from one another in the dark.
The player features some worthless equalization modes and programming options, but goes through batteries as fast as the average mp3 Cd player. The top cover is actually made out of aluminum, which is a blessing and a curse since it will not snap like plastic, but can bend with abuse. The male portion of the hinge locking mechanism is entirely metal, and so likely much more robust than most tend to be.
The only problem I have ever had with this player is that it apparently does not have a resume feature.
While I have come to despise JVC home theater equipment (particularly their recievers), this product is one of the best of its type.

Really good, really simple, really sturdy
The reviewer from Santa Rosa said just about everything, but I have a couple things to add.

The display is large and clear, and even I, with my bad eyesight, can see everything without problems.

Even though there appears to be no resume function, the forward and reverse buttons work so rapidly that it's easy to get back where you left off.

The only equalization available is "Hyper bass", but this one doesn't seem to need any; the sound is loud and clear through a set of high-quality headphones.

Mention of the aluminum lid doesn't do this thing enough justice; I've looked at and tried a *lot* of these MP3 CD players, and this one feels sturdier than all the others. The IRiver SlimX 350 may be just as sturdy, but the JVC has a really hefty, army-tank feel to it.

I was looking for something to replace my dying TDK Mojo 620. These MP3 CD players all have different features and different trade-offs, but if I had to start over again, I'd pick the JVC XLPM20 as the overall best replacement for the MOJO.

      Decent pair of headphones
You can't beat this price for simple, closed ear headphones. Labtec is a reputable brand and makes good products. These will work with anything (including computers and walkmans) and are great. However, these are extremely well suited for devices such as scanners and sound labs.

These headphones have good sound and are comfortable. Not too heavy either. Headband is well made. They hit all the sound ranges well. Dual volume controls are nice too. A stereo/mono switch is something all headphones should have, and these include that.

Here are two minor gripes that docked the review down to 4 stars. First, the cups don't close over your ear perfectly, therefore not providing the tightest seal possible. And number two, the cord is too short. Yes, it's coiled, but it doesn't uncoil well enough. I'd rather see it uncoiled with at least 9 feet / 3 meters in length.

Still a very worthwhile product for private audio listening needs.

      Amazing
These have to be the greatest headphones (for the price) that ive ever owned. The quality is incredible and the volume control on the side is a great convienience

Excellent USB desktop mic with pod mod
This is a very good mic for general desktop use. However, the electret element is too cheap and tinny for serious recording.

I suggest performing a simple mod to replace the element with any other good pc microphone. Open the mic stem, remove the electret element, and replace it with a $.99 1/8in phono jack. Now you can plug your best pc microphone into it, and it will sound better than ever. As a matter of fact, it sounds way better than any USB pod I've used!!!

I use it with Visual Communicator pro and the microphone that comes in the box. My presentations sound like commercial quality.

      High quality
Excellent sound quality. Easy installation with Windows XP, allthough the instruction sheet doesn't say XP supported.
Tested product with Windows Movie Maker II and Pinnacle Systems Studio 8.10.4. Works well with both apps.

      nice, but flawed
My expectation of the 650 was rather great, with it's 0.05%, 10-39500 and ratings on headphone.com ... the problem is that they are drastically colored. Sennheiser states that these cans were developed with the way music listeners listen to their music today. That's cute, but to do this they have colored all the audio ranges with a "creamy" sound that dulls all the details. All wave lengths are dropped so you get artificial bass in all spectums leaving your not-so-average-music-listener feeling like you are listening to great music but it's not the best.

I just finished an extensive review the another serious audio listener and engineer and we both agree that there needs to be more advertizement on these cans to let you know that they are pre-toned for your average listening pleasure. There's no way I would do mix-downs or proof a final track with the 650s ... they are just not accurate enough.

The best cans out there are still the HD 600s. They're numbers are slightly lower than the 650s but it's not going to cause you grief with colorization. You can get to 10 with 650s and 12 with 600s in the lows, but because of the colorization and everything begin in the lower bracket you'll wish they produced the 650s with the extra low and no colorization.

650s are a disappointment. When you train your ear to hear everything being played and recorded and want the most accurate listening that you can you'll want the 600s.

      OUTSTANDING!!!!!
Right out of the box the Sennheiser HD650s reproduce a musical experience of fine detail and warmth to the listener. Owning both headphones models the Sennheiser HD600 and HD650 the HD650 is definitley a sonic improvement in every department over the HD600. The price of purchase justifies the musical experience you will recieve with the HD650s. The headphones are designed also for the home theater experience!!!. You cannot go wrong with Sennheiser HD650.

Best Headphones I Have Ever Heard
These headphones produce a soft, lush and beautiful sound. I have several other headphones including Grado and Bose and these are much better. The headphones in my opinion deserve a good headphone amplifier to get the most out of them. And with a headphone amp the sound is like a sound system costing thousands.

The headphones are not light. The headband adjusts and the earpads are velour and very comfortable. I do, however, feel the weight of the headphones but nonetheless can wear them for extended periods. The quality of the sound makes me not want to take them off. I also find myself listening to music at a lower volume because the quality of the sound is so good that I don't need higher volume to find that I am immersed in the music.

This product is expensive and worth the price.

brilliant product, but only works with Sony products!!
I fell in love with the design and spy-movie size of this microphone, but it doesn't work with most recording devices, because most recording devices aren't equipped for "plug-in power", eg, the Denon DAT player that I wanted to use- couldn't get any signal to record on this. Ditto for my friend who bought the same microphone to use with his laptop- couldn't get any signal. If you, like me, dig sony's products on the whole, you should get the ECMMS907. It takes a battery and will work with any recording device.

      Not JUST for Sony recorders
Contrary to earlier review, this microphone works GREAT with devices other than Sony; just make sure that your recording device provides plug power. I use this microphone with my iRiver iHP-120 20GB MP3 Jukebox --- records great stereo sound directly into MP3s. Fantastic for recording my kids' concerts. Highly, highly recommended.

Great for MD recording! Nice for the price!
This unit is not as compatible as compared to others. But, what it loses in compatibility it makes up for in features. It's wonderfully small and works great with Sony MD recorders. True, it isn't as versitile as the battery models, but it's a lot smaller too. If you just want to do MD recording, this is the unit for you.

The sound quality is sufficiently clear when recording, but is not sensitive enough to satisfy the most demanding users such as musicians or professional reporters. You need a relatively strong source.

All in all, this is a good value and the ideal microphone for those wanting to record onto a Sony MD.
