Great Headphones
I bought these headphones not knowing what to expect, and to my surprise they were great. I would recommend these headphones to anyone, who what's a great pair of headphones at a lowprice.

Straight forward and cost effective.
These headphones are durable, functional and have a good price. The sound isn't as sexy but sure beats the tinny little speakers on your laptop. Volume control is a good functional feature but a little irritating as it hangs on the speaker wire about chest level. Good for the price.

Excellent for the price
These lightweight headphones give a rich, full sound that handle high volume well. The ear pads are a bit larger than is common, but you can really hear the difference this size makes. The two features I absolutely love (since I use this with my computer) is the EXTRA-LONG (8 foot) cord and the volume control. I am constantly moving around my desk and the cord gives me an excellent level of freedom. And, with the volume control, I can quickly mute the phones to have conversations with others.

    I absolutely love it!
I love this wireless microphone, but if you go too far away from the reciever, the microphone will turn off. Other than that, there are really no other problems I have had with it. I love being able to take the microphone anywhere without the cords tripping and tangling around me. I hope I helped you make your decision! This microphone set is great; I want to get another one!

    i love it but...
i love this mic. but if u need it to dj DON'T get it i is really fuzzy.

    Worth It
This product is very good for parties that you are going to have Karaoke at!!!! It is very powerful!!!! It is also useful instead of carrying a cord around!!!! This would be great for anyone who likes to sing on a karaoke machine!!! It works on all karaoke machines and it does look a lot different but it is still good looking!!!! Thank you Target for carrying it at such a low, low, low cost!!! It would have cost me a whole lot more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!

    Good basic headphone
The headphone swivels to give you better fit. Padding is decent. Sound is fine. Don't expect too much for this price.

    good bass
For such a cheap little thing, bass sounds good. It seems to me that the overall volume is not so strong, but maybe its with all headphones. For the price its a good buy.

    Best possible value
You don't get a better headphone for five bucks! Even though it's your basic cheapo design, the sound quality is unmatched. Good bass and clear sound in general. If you like me go through a pair of headphones per month, buy several. You can't go wrong!

Good sound but flawed headset receiver
I liked these headphones a lot when I first got them. But after months of heavy use, the quality of the reception began to deteriorate. There was lots of static crackling and ultimately roaring at maximum volume. These problems gradually diminished (but never disappeared completely) after the phones had been turned on for ten or so minutes.

I finally got so frustrated that I simply ripped the headphones apart so I wouldn't be tempted to put up with them any longer.

If you buy these, get some extra batteries. The battery only lasts about 3 to 4 hours and takes something like 10 hours to fully recharge. The transmitter has two charging stations, so I got three batteries (one in the phones) and rotated them.

I was always a bit annoyed at having to tune the receiver on a battery swap, and, as the battery drains, the receiver drifts off frequency, so you have to adjust it some more.

I much prefer the Sony MDR-IF system; the IF-610 phones last much longer on a single charge (though the downside is that the non-removable battery must be charged in place and the phones are unusable during recharge). But as an infrared system, there's no tuning and no drifting, and the enclosure-style phones provide even better sound. It doesn't work through walls like the 6-9 does, though.

Great pair of phones, with few cons.
    I wanted clarity, I wanted portability, I wanted ease-of-use - all this I found in Sennheiser's RS 6-9's.

Let's start with clarity. A review really isn't indictative of how good these headphones make music sound. I've listened to music (like most people) all my life, and when you put on a pair of headphones and you hear new things in songs you've known for years, that's really saying something about the clarity. Not having tried a pair of Sennheiser's before, I really was suprised by the sound quality - everything is crisp, the bass comes through deep and pounding, but best of all - no distortion.

Portability. I was a tad dissapointed by the fact that when I got more than about 20-30 metres away I got a bit of static, but it quite often depends what is around where you live. Example: at my old house, it worked great up to about 70-100 metres where it trailed off in quality, but at my residential college (lots of metal) it doesn't work well beyond 15-25 metres. Perhaps not so good for people in apartments.

Ease-of-use: Plug the simple cables in, charge the battery, plug it into the headphones, tune and you're away. Fantastic. Nothing more to say....except buy two batteries - you'll listen so much on these heaphones that you'll need them.

Overall a wonderful unit, as long as you don't live in an apartment.

    Freedom and Clarity
Excellent sound without interference. My stereo is far from my bedroom, so these are perfect for listening to great music late at night in bed! Sometimes I roam around the house with them on. The sound quality is really top-notch.

    Looks good...
Hi, I recently started looking for a new pair of sony headphones and stumbled across this set. I have had a pair of sony mdr-v4 then even better mdr-7504 and was quite impressed. However I started using sony headphones that covered the entire ear which were more comfortable, especially if you wore glasses. I expect these headphones to be very sweet. I looked around at places like hifibitz.co.uk and found amazon to have a very competitive price. A great choice for the headphone enthusiast.

A Holy Grail of the headphones
These headphones fit like a old pair of sneakers. Slip right on and you never want em off, unless they stink of course. They are loud and make for some major headbanging. And at school they're a blast. [...] Also the have very little distortion and i use them for all my digital refrencing needs. Well they are really good so buy em! Hope I helped.

    Discontinued but AWESOME!
First of all I had some of my family members listen to these with some classical music and some rock, and the only thing they could say is WOW! They had never heard such detail and had no idea of what they were missing.

I found out these were discontinued but recived rave reviews everywhere I went. When I found that Amazon.com had them (totally by accident) I didn't hesitate and purchased them imediatly!

I am listening to them now and there is no question about it, they are awesome. I have never heard such detail with both a super acurate high and low yes low end unlike the Sennheiser HD600's. Also there closed so I can listen to music really loud and not bug anyone else, also it keeps other noise out. Oh and they are very comfortable plus the sound stage it incredibly wide.

Please Sony, why discontinue such a great product, the new CD2000's are not even closed there open backed.

      old and new
these have served me well throughout the past year. though large, they are not bulky. one of the only problem i've had with them are their sound quality. the same quality could be gotten from less expensive headphones with more comfort value. after extended periods of wear, the joints have held up, which is suprising because of their design. again, the only complaint i have is sound quality.

Very nice product...VERY...VERY happy with my purchase
These are such a great set of headphones that I'm looking to purchase another one just for home. These things are really comfortable, much more so then other headphones that wrap over your ears. You can even lean back onto a pillow twisting the headphones into the standard headphone position and you won't have any problem listening to audio.

Very happy with this product. Highly suggest you check them out!!

      Great sound
Like another reviewer said, these really aren't ment for the street, but more for indoor use. I use these with my Sharp 722 minidisc player and they bring out the bass great. They take a while to get used to but they are actually very comfortable. The earphones put very little wieght on your ears compartive to their size and sound quality. They just have one cord which is very useful and they reduce unwanted wanted noise drasticlly, yet they also reduce wanted noise, like say a car coming from behind. I would only use these inside or for long car/plane rides, as long as your not the one driving.

      Problematic
Well, I bought these headphones and loved them at first, but only two weeks later they started having problems. The right earphone became significantly quiter then the left, and now the left earphone shorts down at the jack (if i wiggle it around enough i can get it too work, but i have to hold it. The bass isn't really all it's worked up to be from the package, but its not bad either. One listen to John Mayer's "Clarity" at a decent volume level and they will distort, and they dont cancel anysound what so ever. They seem to let more noise in than most smaller headphones (I know they're not "noise-canceling" but they let in a LOT of noise). <br /> <br /> However, the sound quality is decent and they are fairly comfortable; a, little big actually. Maybe they are worth the money though, because they have a lifetime warranty and can be replaced for 6 bucks plus what you pay to ship them there, and you get little crappy ones with them. I guess you can't expect much from 20 dollar headphones... save up and buy some nice ones (Senneheiser 212 Pro) 2x the price, but 100 times better. <br /> <br /> Just save the recipt and box and return them if you are having problems.

      Comfort
For the price, this is a marvel of comfort: soft, smooth padding around the ears and a broad, flexible headband. The wire too is flexible and long. The sound is clear and the sound isolation excellent. I'm no audiophile - simply a happy customer.

      Excellent
These are excellent headphones. It has a long cord so you can actually have room between you and you're CD Player. And the headphones are huge so you don't have these little cover things and you can barely hear out of them. Excellent 100%

Good, not great. Not worth the price.
I bought this headset in hopes of finding a pair of moderately high-end phones with noise cancelling and a USB connection. Unfortunately, I misread the specs. Although titled "Sennheiser PC155 Traditional Binaural PC Headset with USB and Noise canceling" [sic], the microphone -- not the headphones -- is noise cancelling. Beyond that, the phones offer a weak (but very low noise) output. The headset is extremely comfortable, even on big ears like mine, and the microphone works great. Still, for the cost of this item, I'm better off with a good set of traditional 3.5mm headphones and a good mic.

Good, but let the business pay for it.
I was looking for the product on their website and I eventually found a completely different website for supporting this product.
The website for this product is www.sennheisercommunication.com

The construction is well made and feels solid, but the cables and ear pads are not replaceable, unlike many of their models. The USB is nice and works fine, but you can also detach the USB to have MIC and headphone 3.5mm outs which is very convenient if you have a good soundcard. I would presume that the pc150 model is only lacking the USB interface.

The microphone does the job well, but can easily pick up wind noise even though it has a noise-cancellation feature. Make sure that you place the mic below your mouth and you will be fine.

The price is a bit much, but the quality of the sound being produced by the headphone portion is as good as my 497s to my ears. I can sit and listen to music and take phone calls from my Cisco IP communicator with ease.

I would recommend it highly, but the retail listing prevents me from giving it 5 stars. Purchase the pc150s if you do not need the USB feature.

      Awsome, worth every penny
This headset is awsome, a nice improvement over my cheap 20 dollar lan center ones, as well as my plantronics. Very comfortable, and easy to set up. I hd dsp-500's and these own those to hell. Better sound, better bass, more comfort. Must buy!

A decent headset for the non-loud user.
Let me point out one thing before you read my review. When you read a review you have to know what type of person the reviewer is in relation to what type of person you are. Im a gamer, so I need to hear every little detail to know where the enemy is at or what he is doing. I also need a headset that blocks out outside interference so I have 100% concentration on what im doing (and believe me, it really helps your game).

First let me start off by saying that the headband doesnt press up against your ears. This is bad because when its not pressing up against your ears your allowing for more outside interference get into your headsets and into your ears breaking your concentration. When you have less outside interference you find that its easier to concentrate on what your doing. Also the volume level is decreased along with detailed sound. But it is very comfterable to wear, not heavy at all, and the head-size adjusters work awsome.

On this headset you really cant turn the volume up that loud without it distorting (the bass especially distorts badly although the treble rarely distorts if at all). But when you dont turn the volume up that loud it delivers pretty decent sound quality.

The wire is really thin making it easier to break/cut into. Due to the wire being thin, when you fondle/mess with the wire it distorts. Also sometimes when you move your body it distorts.

I had this headset for exactly a month and in about half way through that month my left speaker wasnt as loud as my right. It happened when I was listening to music. So I had to comprimise by using software to re-balance the amount of volume that went into each speaker. When I did this my overall sound wasnt as loud as it was before. That made me pretty mad.

If you really want to get your moneys worth, go buy a 30 dollar pair Koss ur-29. But at amazon you can get them alot cheaper. Read my Other review on that headset on amazon, just type in the search engine "Koss ur-29".

      Nice headphones
Yeah, I just picked up a pair of these headphones and I must say they are quite good. The bass is very clean unlike most headphones in the same price range. The real sell point for me was the 8' cord. Great for people like me that love to watch movies and play games late at night but don't want to wake up the roomates.

      Good if you press'em
I bought these at wallmart.. was trying to find some phones that would sound very good but wouldnt allow other sounds in and would not break after a few months of use .. my fav before these were sony earbuds. they had damn good base and good overall sound but would get the cloth covers dammaged and then got ear wax clogged after a while and the wires would break .. so i got these .. i hated them at first due to the fact that bass sounded like A$$ .. but after pressing them to my ears with my fingers .. WOW they sounded fantastic and could handle some impressive volume .. so i got me some head bands from the doller store to wear over the speaker sections of these to have them held to my ears while listening.. they sound great that way.. they are cheap and sound great once you press em

      Cheers

ShockWave Will Be Missed, But Not Replaced
The size, shape of the radio are perfect for shoving in your pocket and forgetting about. It has a hold function to keep the buttons from being push, but unfortunatly atleast once a day I would succeed in turning off the hold function from within my pocket. The best feature is by far the battery compartment and the 20 plus battery hours it gets on a single AAA battery. The reception is pretty good, although it picks up disturbances from nearby cell phones. There are a whole list of bad qualities with this radio. The first are the headphones, which are the most uncomfortable one I have ever had the displeasure of putting in my ears. I threw them out within thirty minutes and replaced them with an old set that only had one speaker working; a much better tradeoff. It is unbelievable difficult to remember how to use station preset function. I figured it out twice only to forget it a few weeks later. It also has this city function that keeps all stations from coming in at all. I really don't understand what the purpose is of that unless you want to listen to white noise to fall asleep.
Last week I finally lost my ShockWave radio, though I will miss it, I plan on trying my luck on something a little better. I could have swore that in the late 90's when you paid between $40-$60 dollars for a walkman you used to get something of slightly better quality. Now all you get in this price range is garbage. Is this progress?

      The best little radio yet
I've been using little radios on my commute for years, and this is the best - even better than the old SONY FM/AM Walkman Sports that was my previous favorite. Terrific FM reception, it pulls in a pretty good selection of downtown stations even when my train reaches the outer 'burbs (and it receives very well inside the train, another sign of the tuner strength). The best, most convenient battery change I've ever seen, and runs for quite a while on a single AAA. Size is perfect. Distant/Local switch handles downtown overload pretty well.
Downsides: Memorizing a station requires a Mensa certificate, no auto-off (do any of them?) - but these are minor. Great choice for a commuter radio.

      I love the Item
I bought one item like this and like it , sound is clear with extra bass, reception is much better, better than Sony. most of the people mistaken it like Mp3 because of the style. i like listening on radio all the time and one solve the problem, lite and comfortable to carry.
Planning to buy another one just in case, coz i know they don't distribute this anymore. do you think i reccomend this ? , you Bet. i bought a armstrap to put in , and it ready to go. try it , you will love it.
