Looks nice, but only average
I too was swayed by the big discount, but these are not much better than the average ... Sony earphones you can find pretty much everywhere. Nevermind sound quality mentioned by the other reviewer, they're not nearly as comfortable and the case has a major flaw - the cord is not enclosed! There is only a recessed ring to wrap it around... only the buds themselves fit in the plastic top (and not very well). At least it's a cool color and happens to match both my laptop and digital camera.

I have been dying to find some decent earphones, preferably self-retracting because the cords get so unwielding, but the Jensen does not appear to be much better. The in-line volume control is a nice addition. Overall, I would say, keep looking.

Imagine being at a concert with dixie cups over your ears
That's what these earbuds almost sound like. Muffled. When I first saw these I thought, hey 50% off and woah look at these specs. I listened to these earbuds on my iRiver SlimX iMP-350 CD/MP3 Player. They are alright for just listening to music if you don't pay attention to the quality of the sound. I didn't feel much bass coming out of these earbuds. I didn't expect the equivalency of a subwoofer, but I have heard better sounding earbuds with more bass for around the same price. But, it's not all about the bass. Clarity is another issue when it comes to choosing earbuds. I listened to different kinds of music with these but mainly electronic music. That's where these earbuds dissappointed me. They didn't have enough bass and the highs weren't accurate enough. I already purchased a different pair of earbuds after doing some research, .... I am not going to go off-topic but let's just say that the Phillips are gonna be collecting dust in my desk drawer. If you want some good earbuds for when you're on the go or working out, you're better off going for a different brand. ...

oh yes these things are nice
Not comfortable? This guy must have girl ears, these things feel great. I don't know why this other reviewer is complaining about the sound.. i think it's perfectly fine. The best headphones i ever had... i just hope i dont step on em again

worthless
garbage, i bought one and the wire fell out, then the left cup fell out, then it rusted, then i returned it and bought a beretta, these suck

Quite good for the price
These are great, great headphones, at bargain price. I've used them mostly with a NAD C340 amplifier but also did some listening with cheap portable players. They are extremely comfortable, which is always a plus if you plan to listen for a long time. The structure looks good, very lightweight, but I still think some of the plastics used look too cheap, I guess build quality in general looks cheap, the glue under the Sennheiser rubber strip on the top, etc. Maybe Sennheiser decided to focus the cost on the transducers, because they sound a lot better than they look.

Even so, not all that fragile, design is very effective, the headband is large and adjustable, the soft cloth pads are very pleasant. Overall, these headphones are EXTREMELY comfortable, probably the most comfortable headphones I have ever tried. The longevity of the HD590 is assured since all vital components can be replaced when damaged. The OFC cable has the usual detachable mini-jack (one wire only, attaches to left transducer) always useful if you keep tripping on the cable or need an extension. The velour pads are also easy to remove (which is good since they seem to pick up dust like a vacuum cleaner). Also, keep in mind that they are very permeable to ambient noise because of the open design. If you plan to use them in noisy environments, that might be a problem.

When it comes to sound, some people think the treble is inexplicably sharp and intrusive, probably making these more adequate for jazz and classical. They are indeed very bright, but I don't find them fatiguing or excessively harsh. True, these excel in detail with classical and all acoustic, but also sound pretty decent with completely different sounds from Rage Against the Machine to Bauhaus. Very high resolution, with natural bass, not too punchy, but enough to please most listeners.

Yes it is true, the Sennheiser HD 600 are also amazing headphones, a lot darker than these, but still great. There is a catch however, at 300 ohms the 600 need lots of juice, definitely not easy to drive with maximum quality unless you have a dedicated headphone amp or a very good integrated amp. The 590 don't need a dedicated amp, at only 120 ohms nominal impedance, they are easy to drive, even from laptops, portables and other low output sources. When it comes to sound quality, there's really nothing like picking a few models and listening before choosing (to the right CDs). Your opinion might be completely different. To me, while not perfect, these are definitely in my list of favourite non-electrostatic headphones. I also own the pricier Sony MDR-CD3000 (a fairly high-end model often considered superior to such beasts as the Grado RS-1, the HD 600/650 and the AKG K1000) and comparing the two I can say that at about 33% of the 3000's price, the 590 sound very, very good. Ok, so not as good as the 3K, but still great value for money in the market of circum-aural open headphones.

You get what you pay for.
The quality is mediocre at best. They are light weight, but not very comfortable due to the loose fit of the earpiecs. Stereo sound is not great either. The mic is not adequate for voice recognition software.

User friendly
I enjoy using this product. Lightweight and the headband is easy to adjust. I can put it on for many hours without realizing that it was on my head. Very light. The cord is long enough that allows me to move around freely. The quality of sound is great and the volume is easily adjusted. It's a good piece of headphone with the product you paid. A great deal. I strongly recommend that everyone who is interested to purchase it.

    it is ok
This microphone was ok i guess. i wouldnt recommend it for voice recogonition though. it just isnt good enough

Well, can't get a better price...
This is one of three microphones I own, and the added feature of being able to mount it on a surface is indeed a plus... the sound quality's not as good as other microphones I've used, but for the price, it can't be beat.

      Cheap, Very Portable, But...
I keep these in my computer bag for those days (1-2/week) that I am not in my primary office, where I have a decent pair of phones. First and foremost, they are extremely portable. The case is probably 3-4 inches in diameter, so they'll take up little space. The sound is decent. After 6-8 hours wearing them, though, and inserting/removing numerous times when moving about, the comfort level drops precipitously. Also, the cord is pretty short, so even pushing away from the desk can put you at the end of your tether. Still, for [X] or less, they are not much of an investment. I am searching reviews now for some 'phones that are going to be more comfortable. I can't imagine I'll find anything more portable. So, for infrequent use, these are fine. For more regular or prolonged use while on the road, I'm going to spend more and hopefully get something more comfortable.

      good for so small
These are decent for their size and price. People complain about lack of bass capabilities, but there are limits when you have a speaker that small. Good, i recomend them, the case is nice, bit time consuming to constently put in and take out, but alaround good.

A little tinny but good overall
This microphone produces a high treble output (not surprising based on its size) The flexible portion of the arm is a nice feature but over time it gets a little limp.

        A good Microphone.
This is a good microphone its easy to talk on and part of the stem bends. I recomend in buying this product.

        It works...
This The Plantronics PLX-400 Hands-free headset is a stand-alone telephone. It's not just something that you have to hook up to another phone. Just plug it into your phone jack and dial away.

It has a volume adjuster, but it must always be set to 9 (the highest setting) and even then it is difficult to hear callers unless I'm in a quiet room.

There's a redial button, but no memory or phone book features, so each call must be dialed manually. This device also includes a flash button for using call waiting or other phone company features that require a quick tap on the 'hook'. A mute button rounds out all the features of this item.

The headset is funtional, but it squeaks a lot if you move around any. The microphone, on a short (~4 inch) boom, works well.

This item has the bare minimum of features, lacking many that even the cheapes phones sets offer.

Next time, I'll look for phone number memory, call display, etc. before purchasing a handsfree phone.

great product, clear and completely easy to use
this is a truly great headset, i've been using it for over 5 years now. the sound is just as clear, if not clearer, than a regular telephone. the mute button works really well too...the adjustable volume knob works great. highly recommended!

        Electronics wiz
I think that the RCA RP1610 Portable AM/FM radio with Headphones is a reasonably good machine. The sound comes in nice and clear, and it is good for running, but the way it is constructed, it seems to be made out of cheep material. Besides that though, it is a pretty good personal radio.

        Uncomplicated elegance
With sever winter around the corner, you dont want to be caught in a storm...stay informed... this RCA radio can be a life saver. Tune into weather reports and bulletins, and at other times, listen to "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer" for the hundredth time this week!

The headphones fit snugly, and the static is surprisingly low for a radio that (is so inexpensive)! It is extremely easy to switch between the modes, and you dont need to be ambidextrous like me to do that. Use either hand, its a snap!

Also makes a nice surprise gift for that person "who has everything". Nothing can kill the radio star!

Rumblefx Headphones forcefeedback for gamers & Audio Apps
        Made by EVERGREEN TECHNOLOGIES
          Amazon base price: $
          Average review score:

          Cool, but poor construction
These headphones are resole under diffrent names over and over. Let me tell you something, they are expensive and are [bad]. Sure it vibrates but if you feel the construction there is something wrong. Fake wire stoppers, bad middle unit position, weak screws, [bad] hardware overall. Do not get this unless you like RMAs.

          great headphones for the price
looking at this amazon listing for these headphones, i see a very blank page. Well no wonder these babies aren't selling. first and foremost, let me tell you about the force feedback on these headphones. force feedback is a technology where "something" vibrates. for example the controllers for PS2. they rumble when ur character gets hit or u fall or something. same thing with these headphones. In counterstrike or Unreal, throw a grenade or fire a rocket... and feel it's explosion. what these headphones do is takes any bass, and adds a proportional amount of shaking. One of my favorite things to do in counterstrike is buying the m4a1 rifle, slapping on a silencer to increase the bass, turning the force feedback to level II, and letting it rip. these headphones are definitely for any hardcore gamer and even fledgling gamers because they do help out ur skills. In counterstrike, you can hear (and sometimes feel) your enemies before you see them. For music, the force feedback is ennnnngghhh. great for dance beats like techno or for rap. anything with heavy bass. but the magic in these headphones is still in gaming. if you want to use these for music tho, a good thing is that u can turn off the force feedback. In fact there are 3 settings: off, I, and II.
now on to comfort cuz thats an important thing with headphones. everything is nicely padded on these babies. the headphones fit nicely over your ears with enough space so that ur poor earlobes and such aren't crushed. even the band gets kudos from me cuz of their comfort. the soft padding won't make a dent in ur head like some other headphones i've tried when u wear them for long periods of time. the headphones have purposely been "bent" meaning that the band and the earparts are not in a 90 degree fashion. when you put the headphones, you should adjust them so that they sit straight on ur ears first, and then u will realize that the band sits more forward on ur head than most other headphones. this is smart cuz they're more comfortable that way and they don't easily slip off.
hey you kno, they're are a lot of reviews out there for these headphones. go read up on them. it really is a great buy. and from what i can figure out, they stopped manufacturing them (i think) so the already really low prices have dropped to around [$$] incredible price for an incredible product.
oh yeah. before i forget, they take 2 AAA batteries for a 30 hr usage... not bad... just remember to turn em off when ur done
