This Thing Sucks
I bought this remote, and it doesn't even work. I called diamond about the problem, and they saud that I must have dropped it or something, but it never worked out of the box. I got so mad I smashed the thing. Don't buy one. I had the some problem with the Rio to, I wouldn't trust anything from diamond.

Complete Disaster
I should have known from the inexpensive price that this product was heading for the garbage. From the first day I bought it all it did was worsen the sound and slow down my mp3's. The buttons on this quiet too large headphone remote are hard to follow and I had trouble figuring out many of them. This large piece of equipment is too big for Diamond Rio and adds uneccessary bulk.

Great product. If you have a 300 you have to buy it
The reason I got this was that the play, stop, and change song buttonson my player fell off and i lost them! I had to use a pencil to turnit on or change the song. This worked great on the bus. It has all the buttons you need, and isn't as cheap as the player itself. The two problems are the size of the cord(I had to put it in my pocket and wrap the excess cord around it instead of using the given clip. I also found my frieds mini disk remote was smaller and had a lcd display that displayed the song name volume etc. The player itself only displayed the track number. If you dont need a player right now then WAIT FOR THE 600 TO COME OUT. It. . . has 32mb expandable to 320. Well im running out of things to say so the bottom line is if you do more then just sit in a chair and listen to it you need the remote. Also note it ONLY WORKS WITH THE 300

iPod Remote sucks
I have owned my Ipod for 18 months. It is the fantastic, but I am now on my 3rd remote which is not so fantastic. No matter how careful I am about twisting the wires,it seems that after a period of time they loose connection with the Ipod. I also do not like the fact that Apple bundles the earphones with the remote. I am forced to buy new earphones just to get the remote.

Could Be Better
A decent pair of headphones that at least matches (in Apple white) the iPod's color(less) scheme. However if looks are not your primary consideration in choosing headphones for your iPod, you should probably look elsewhere. The cord is way too long and the remote (though nifty) adds even more length, sound quality is only average for the price.

Best Investment For iPod
I bought this about 2 months after I bought my 10GB iPod. I thought it would be nice, but nothing big. I was wrong. It totaly changed my iPod experience. You don't know how much the ability to play/pause, skip/repeat songs, and adjust the volume without having to touch your iPod is really like until you try it. Of the three main accesories, the dock, wired remote, and carryeng case, this is the best one by far. If you own an iPod that doesn't already come with this than add this to your cart right away. You wont regret it!

Not ready for prime time
Just not worth the money. Wouldn't be worth even $20 because it just doesn't work well. Wasn't looking for perfect sound but way too much static even when sitting right in front of the receiver with a full charge on the headphones. I'm not sure if it's just this product (this was my 1st set) or if wireless headphones in general aren't ready for general use. I disliked it so much I returned them.

Very happy with my purchase
I purchased this for my 72 year old father who has poor hearing and was having difficulty making out what was being said on the tv or when playing his vcr tapes (he has chosen not to wear his hearing aid). He also needed a way not to disturb his wife at night when listening to the tv. After doing considerable research, I decided on wireless, non-infrared, headphones (he will sometimes fall asleep on the bed still listening to the radio or tv, so I needed something that would handle that scenario) and have just hooked up the new headphones tonight.

I have always been happy with the JVC brand in the past owning that brand in a handheld camcorder, two tvs and vcr. I was deliberating between the JVC and a $20 more expensive Sony model in the same headphone category. On Walmart's website, they had the same JVC headphone but for $20 more and didn't even have it stocked locally.

I therefore decided to go with this JVC model from Amazon. It arrived more quickly than I expected even with the free shipping. The quality of the materials were very much up to expectations. When I tried the headphones first with an older model VCR that did not allow me to plug in both the white and red connectors but only the single end (I'm not an electronics expert obviously), the sound was very low and pretty much drowned out by the static. When I used a vcr that was only 4 years old that had a place for the red and white plugs, the sound was very clear with plenty of volume and no static once I tuned them in.

Since we are not using this to listen to music, I won't venture an opinion as to how perfectly it reproduces that quality. For tv/vcr use, it comes across as equivalent to what we could hear before and my general impression is that of a 900 MHz cordless phone, only with headphones instead. I imagine I could also use it to listen to c-span.org audio/video archived recordings on my computer as long as I'm not moving around since it tends to go through static areas, but even then if sufficiently motivated (while cooking dinner for example), I feel they would probably be fine.

I found the controls very handy which surprised me given some earlier reviews. I wish there was a more intuitive way of knowing absolutely that the batteries were recharging (since I worry whether the headphones have "seated" correctly) and when they have fully recharged. If there is no audio signal, there is a light that helps as a clue, but since my father is using this with a vcr that is always on (fewer decisions to make), the light stays the same. I consider this only a minor inconvenience. From what I know now and for the application I'm using it for, I am very happy with the purchase.

They're not bad!
I've had these headphones for a month now. I decided to buy them regardless of some bad reviews. These are radio signal receiving headphones, they recieve a signal from the base/charging unit. I have it plugged into my computer at work and they're excellent. The sound quality is good for just listening while you're working do not buy these if you're into hearing every detail. Sure, there's some radio static in the background but its nothing that will make you toss them across the room. Definetly worth the price!

Died after 40 days
I was very happy with the headphones until one afternoon they stopped working. I played with the controls and modes without luck. I moved them around on my head and they began working again (as if a wire was not making good contact somewhere). The next day they died completely.

I called sony since they were still under the 90 day waranty and after two long phone calls they said that they are eligable for replacement. However, they will be replaced only with a refurbished set that is "similar", but the person on the phone could provide no details on what kind of replacement this would be.

For the price I would expect better service (ie money back, replacement with new unit), and that they would last more than fourty days.

Think twice.
After receiving the headphones and following the directions to charge 24 hours, they worked fine the first couple times they were used. Then I began noticing that the indicator light on the base showed the power on when they were not in use. Shortly after, the headphones started to die after a few minutes use and would not recharge even when left as long as 2 days undisturbed.

Sony instructed me to send them in for service. After many, many follow-up calls I was told that my headphones could not be repaired and I would be sent a replacement. After many, many more calls Sony informed me that there were no replacements available and none expected within the foreseeable future. Sony offered me a full refund of the purchase price, which I accepted.

After 3 months I am again looking for a set of wireless headphones. The Sennheiser RS-65 set looks good to me. While I applaud Sony for doing the right thing and issuing me a refund, I cannot recommend this Sony product.

Very pleased
I've had these for about 6 months. They sound great and work very well far from the source. To me the most important part of the headphones is how comfortable they feel. These feel good, but I eventually feel the need to remove them [perhaps it's the earrings].

Takes some getting used to
When I first got these headphones I had the same complaints that another reviewer had. However, I did get used to them and learned how to adjust them so that they are fairly comforable.

After some time you can get them on in just a few seconds even though at first it seems to take forever. The payoff is not really great sound but it is like these earphones are glued to your ear. This is priority number one for me during vigorous exercise. If that is not your top priority then I'd look elsewhere.

Surprisingly good sound and stays put!
I like to listen to music on the move, so it's always an irritation when my headphones fall off constantly (and boy do those earbud ones ever!). Well, these are my favorite headphones so far. They STAY PUT, whether I'm cruising through rush hour crowds or jogging. More importantly, they don't suffocate your ears like the traditional over the head headphones. What really draws me to these phones, however, are the sound quality. The sound is actually a lot better than some of the more expensive low-end phones you can find (I compared them, believe you me). The bass on this, for one, is much better than a pair of Aiwa earbud ones I bought which cost twice as much.

All in all, these are good headphones for active people who also want their music sounding like music.

Great for Exercising
These headphones are lightweight, inexpensive and perfect for people who workout on a regular basis. The ear pieces are clearly labeled for the right and left ear...and the ear pieces move to adjust to your chosen listening position. The headphones are not clunky and stiff like usual plastic models. Additionally, the rubber coating is great for battling sweaty sessions! For earphones that wont make a dent in your wallet- these are truly perfect!

WARNING
There are two huge problems with these headphones:

1) They're EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I put them on for the first time and within 2 minutes, my ears hurt from the pressure of the supposed "pads", which aren't very forgiving and make noise against your ears whenever you move your head at all.

2) They seem to be made from the cheapest possible plastic materials sony could scrounge up. For the price and the sony name, I foolishly assumed that they would be decently manufactured. The earcups break off of their flimsy little hinges with any hint of a wrong twist of the them, and if you frequently flip the cups back for studio monitoring, don't count on them lasting for more than a month.

I gave them two stars, generously, because if for some reason you insist upon buying them, the sound is all right, though a little crackly throughout and a tad weak in big bass (but expected for cheaper headphones). If you want an amazing headphone for the same price, I am extremely happy with Sennheiser's HD 202. They're comparable in price and quality to many of the higher end sonys. Though they're not studio monitoring, the Sennheisers are by far the best headphones you can find for this little.

In conclusion, save yourself the hassle of a return. Don't buy these. Even if you think they're comfy and sound good when you get them, they'll break. I love sony stuff and i really wanted these to be consistent with what i have come to expect from sony, but they're really not up to snuff.

Good sound, disappointingly fragile
For four years I was a paper carrier. I delivered my newspapers in the morning, between 4:00 and 5:30 AM, back when I was in high school. I always had a portable CD player with me, and used these headphones to listen to music while I delivered. In those four years, I had gone through FOUR pairs of these. I loved their sound, and they were fairly comfortable, but after an hour and a half of wearing them, they did hurt my ears. I still use a pair (the last pair I bought). Be warned, both the 1/4 inch connector and the volume control are easily damaged, making either the left or right earphone, or sometimes both, stop working. I tried to repair them, but found very cheap wiring when I went to splice a new connector onto them, which may explain why they failed so easily. This last pair has held up fairly well, but even now, the connector is failing. Be warned, they're fragile and can be uncomfortable.

pretty good
I just bought these headphones and theyre awsome (...). theyr comfortable and have really good spond quality go buy yours today!!!

    Dissatisfied!
I purchased this headset radio ... about two years ago. ... I used it solely at sporting events. I take care of my electronic equipment and do not abuse them. At first this radio headset was great but soon it was practically useless. First, when I changed batteries the plastic latch that holds the batteries in place would not properly close which would make the radio non-fuctional. This started happening shortly after the warranty was up. I called Koss [no] service department and was told that they would repair it for what I thought to be an exorbitant amount(over $20). Finally I was able to fool with the latch so it would kind of hold the batteies in place but the latch would continue to come loose causing the radio not to play. Then, the radio would make a loud squeaking noise and cut in and out. Also, the green warning light would come on to indicate that my batteries were low. This would occur right after putting in new batteries!

I would not recommend buying this headset radio. For what I paid for it the quality of workmanship left a lot to be desired. I have been very disappointed with Koss and will buy other brands in the future.

    Bummed out sound
My wife bought this item for my birthday and I loved it for a couple weeks or so. Then, the headphones began to pick up a very loud static ring after 30 minutes or so of use. Gradually it became more frequent until they became unusable. (Yes, I tried new batteries.)

Unfortunately, because my wife bought them two months before my birthday they AREN'T COVERED BY THE 90 DAY (who would believe that) WARRANTY!

    One worked, one didn't
I had a KOSS HR 110Y earphone radio for almost two years, and I thought it was great. I took it with me to the YMCA to exercise three times a week. I liked it because: (1) it was completely on top of my head, with no cord down to my arm or belt to interfere with exercising; and (2) it has five buttons for pre-set stations, so I could change stations quickly. It worked very well, and it held up to quite a bit of getting banged around as I took it back and forth to the Y in my gym bag. Finally, after almost two years of regular use, it got broken. I had another identical one that had been sitting new and unused in the original package for about eight months. I tried that one, and it stopped working the first time I used it. Then, when I was trying to see if there was any way to make it work, I dropped it a short way onto a carpeted floor, and the door to the battery compartment broke off, so it was totally junk. Because I had already owned it for eight months, I didn't try to return it. I would be willing to take a chance and buy a third one, hoping it would be good like the first one and not bad like the second. But I can't find them for sale in any physical store, and even on-line, I can only find them offered for sale by one individual who claims to have a supply of them. I wonder if KOSS still makes them, if not, why?

    Cuts off with phone use
I bought these headphones for my dad and he says that everytime the neighbour picks up the phone, his connection to the base unit is broken. He's able to listen in to their conversations because of the signaling overlap. To fix the problem, he has to get up and hit the channel change button to re-establish the connection. This happens quite frequently and he's very very annoyed. I'll be returning them ASAP.

    Great sound, cheap construction
I bought the RS30's over the other brands of wireless headphones because I've been extremely pleased with my other Sennheiser purchases (HD-202, HD-212, MX-400). In those cases, I've found both the construction and sound quality to be well ahead of the pack, especially for the price. In the RS-30's, I had to settle for one out of two. The sound quality is excellent - within a 50 foot radius, you'd never know they weren't an expensive wired set. Reception is good throughout the house, although a little static creeps in at longer distances.

However, I was surpised by the cheap plastic and un-upholstered foam construction. Right out of the box, there was a little piece of plastic rattling around inside the headband. I don't see these headphones lasting long, even with gentle use. Also, the battery pack is just a dumb design. You have to remove the battery from the phones and plug it into the base to charge. Well, the base already acts as a cradle for the phones, so how hard would it be to align the contacts on the battery with those on the base, so it will charge on its own?? Cordless telephones have done this for years.

In short, I bought this as a gift, and I'll be a little embarassed when I hand it over later today, as it looks like a kmart special. Hopefully, the sound quality will help the recipient overlook the construction.

    Great for Background Music...
The RS-30 headphones are great for listening to music or watching TV, but if you need top quality sound, you'll want to look elsewhere (perhaps Sennheiser's higher quality products). There's a fairly typical amount of background noise with these that you probably won't find in higher end models.

The Open-air design of these works quite well for allowing the right amount of outside noise in.

I also tried the Advent AW-770 headphones, but in my listening environment I was getting too much static and interference. The Sennheisers don't have near the amount of interference that the Advent pair had.

This pair isn't the most comfortable (who can beat a good pair of AKG headphones, that cup the ear, at comfort?), but they are fairly adjustable and manageable.

If you'll be listening all day at work, you may want to order another battery for the set, as the shipping battery only lasts a little over 4 hours.

    **December 10, 2001: Update**
Apparently the plastic is a little weak. I was taking them off my head (granted, with one hand), and the left can snapped off right at the joint. I've since tried super-gluing, to no avail. If you get these, you may want to practice taking them off with both hands, one on each side!

    headsets keep breaking
bought three within 6 months 2 of the headsets were broken

    It's Worth The Price
I use to have the Bell Sonecore BE-100HT until I dropped it one two many times and pulled the cord out of the headset. Just got the BE200HT today. Seems to work just fine. I am happy with it. Minor cons. Display contrast is low and hard to read straight on. It seems to be made to read at a low viewing angle. The volume control range is limited. It can be adjusted to between loud and near loud. It just does not have the range from low to high that my previous BE100HT did. The "belt clip" on the back is still the cheap plastic design that broke on my last one. I expect it will not last long on this one either. The write up on Amazon at the time I posted this still mentions cordless/cell/2.5mm jacks. All wrong. The picture is correct though. It is basically a hands free headset that connects with the phone cord and needs 4 AAA batteries. It is worth the ...price though. I am happy with it.

    I wish it was cordless
I really enjoy using this phone. It is really durable and the batteries seem to last forever, I just wish it was cordless.

I bought this phone and another Conair phone, and will not make the same mistake again. BOTH phones have tons of static and picked up radio stations. I dont enjoy hearing Britney Spears singing "Im a Slave 4 you" when i am on the phone with my mom......

    LOVE IT
I had been looking for a old fashion rotary phone for ever and I found this one it has a hint of old in it I loved it best phone I ever owned.

    Love this phone!
Not only is this phone incredibly cute, but I also love the sound quality. I can hear everyone clearly, and they can hear me clearly. The keypad is different, but it just requires some attention. No big deal with that. This phone is simple and stylish.
