Comfortable, but sound quality is too hollow.
Bottom line - only buy these if you have small ears. It has a good frequency range and can hit some nice bass notes (I listen to film soundtracks which have a wide variety of sounds, with some pretty deep bass sometimes).

However, the richness of the sound isn't there. To reproduce what you'll hear with these headphones, just take a decent pair of headphones or even just a phone receiver and hold them/it just a half-inch away from your ears. You can still hear the sound and it should still sound "good" (no fuzziness in the sound at all), but it's just hollow-sounding.

I've noticed that if I press the ear pieces against my ears firmly, I can hear the sound quality that I'm looking for, but that's just not acceptable for me to have to do that. So either I have too-large ears or these earpieces are just too padded and are keeping my ears a little too far away from the audio. Who knows? I'm debating whether to take these back or not - like I said, the sound quality is there, but it's just too far away. I'm guessing that someone with smaller ears would have an easier time getting their ears closer to the audio, and thus, get the rich sound quality that these headphones offer.

After trying out the Aiwa headphones, too, I think I will just buy another pair of my previous Jensen JF25 headphones. The only trouble I had with them was I accidentally broke one of the plastic pieces holding the earpiece in place. Great sound quality for $15 with those Jensen headphones, though.

OK Setup at a nice price
Bought one of these units several months ago, and the only problem I found is the low quality earpiece and microphone. I would recommend ditching them as soon as you get the unit and going with a higher quality set to plug into the base. Other than that, the price is certainly right.

Setup comes with batteries, base, and headset, but it does accept standard size 3.5mm stereo earphone and microphone jacks. There is also a 9V AC adapter jack on the back if you want to add a universal AC adapter for constant power.

      TA 280 SLK Headset
This headset is far more comfortable for extended periods of use than the earbud set. The requirement to use the push-to-talk button on the radio can be awkward at times but I usually have the radio in my shirt pocket. It's easy to find the PTT button by feel when it is parked there. I would have rated it one star higher if it had a lapel push-to-talk button. Of course that feature would raise the price but it would be worth it. I find it to be a worthwhile accessory

These are not very good, but I like the cord length
The title says it all basically. The sound is largely muffled and the drivers aren't very efficient. Bass is also sorely lacking and these headphones don't sound very qualified for even using with any digital music. These would be ok for a TV or VCR headphones when you want to turn up the volume late at night or if you do not want to hear a snoring spouse while watching a video. In general, I would not recommend them unless you want the long 3 meter cord, volume control and isolation these headphones provide, which is just about all they have going.

        Expected more
I bought these headphones to replace the original ones that came with my portable cd player. In terms of sound quality it was o.k. (i.e., average). But what really bothered me most was how extremely uncomfortable they were! After 10-15 minutes of having them on my ears, I would have to take them off! I am currently looking for another brand to replace them.

        Unique phones
I purchased this pair to replace my Panasonic RP-HT 710's after tripping on the cord and cracking them. I may still end up with another pair of 710's, which still strike me as providing the most sound for the least money.

The 660's employ a unique, well-designed, auto-retracting cord and even permit on-board storage of the 1/4" adapter. Moreover, they're quite light and comfortable, and the sound is extremely impressive both on the low and high ends of the frequency range. I'm hearing things in the treble that I never realized were there.

The downsides: First, they're a lot bigger than I had imagined. Catching a glimpse of yourself in a mirror is like seeing a patient in a halo head-brace. Second, the cord is extremely thin so that it can be stored and concealed in the left headphone. Third, despite the wide frequency coverage, mid-range sounds are lacking in presence. The sound of a piano, for example, is far too tinny to for my tastes.

All in all, interesting technology, reasonable price, and practical for some applications.

        Not bad
These Panasonic headphones aren't bad. They are very lightweight and they seem to be durable. They also fold up conviently so you can keep them in your pocket. The downside, however, is that they can get to be very uncomfortable when you have them in your ears for a long period of time. I'd pass on these and get a different pair with foam cushions around your ears rather than these uncomfortable plasic buds.

Promising Specs, Decent Sound, Disgusting Craftsmanship
I bought these as a replacement for my aging Koss R/100's(by far the best headphones I've ever owned).

When I took these out of the box, the first thing i noticed was that they looked to be very cheaply made. The entire headband is one thin piece of plastic, no padding at all. The earcups are padded in plain foam covered with thin cloth. After about 1 month of use, I picked them up one day and the headband had broken where the height adjuster is located.

I tried them on and played some rock, metal, and rap. The sound was good, but wasnt anything special. I have some tracks that go above 20khz, and below 20hz, and I don't believe i heard any sound outside of that range. Their 10hz-25khz rating is a bit optimistic, especially for a $30 pair of headphones.

If you baby them, these are decent sounding headphones. As far as durability and workmanship, they are worthless.
