    Not the best solution
Well, I was looking for a .... solution until I got my Logitech Z-540's (good speakers BTW), so I picked up these. Only 8 bucks, can't beat that price. It also claimed it has an added bass boost which gave it the edge. I figured "what the heck, they're only headphones" So I hooked them up. At the time, I was not very good with sound and had little expirience compared to now. They were OK, but I decided to review this again with a real analysis based on real speakers:

The headphones sound mediocre overall and don't produce a very clear sound or tone overall, but they get the job done. The "bass boost" is completely bogus. Even equalized, I noticed almost no bass coming through, and with a full-range sound test, I noticed that almost all of the bass range is gone and it really leaves the audio very weak and empty. Overall, the sound quality is poor, fizzly, and weak.

If you're looking for a good pair of headphones for a good price, these are not the ones you're looking for. I have heard from numerious sources that the Koss KSC-50's are a good pair and I intend to pick those up if I ever get an MP3 player for example.

    Bottom line: Don't buy them.

It's OK, but don't get it.
...I bought these headphones ...figuring they seemed to be a good deal and claimed they had s uperior bass boost. Well, I hooked them up and they are what you pay for. Normal average quality. The bass was not at all what I expected. The bass is, in fact, very weak. Also, I found that after wearing these for about an hour my ears started to hurt. If you're looking for a quick solution with deecent sound like I was, these are good for you. Otherwise, don't get them....

    Don't buy these headphones
It's difficult to tell from the photograph, but the actual speaker on these headphones is quite bulky, and would not fit into my ear, leaving the headphone jutting out at unlistenable and uncomfortable angle.

The rings in varying sizes included for adjustability cannot fix the fit problem, and, at least for me, added another one; they are flimsy and snap in so tight that when I attempted to change a ring, it broke off, leaving a tab stuck in the slot so that no other rings could be inserted.

From the little testing I managed, the sound quality was also not impressive. In short, do NOT buy these headphones; while not ill-conceived, they are poorly designed and flimsily made.

    Aesthetically Pleasing Headphones
These headphones have only one thing better than the rest of them. They're cool looking. If you are more concerned about the looks of a pair of headphones then about the quality of sound, you should get these. Also, Aiwa is a brand you can trust. Every item I have bought from them has lasted. Basically, all I'm saying is that these headphones will impress your friends. They look good. Get them.

      Uncomfortable and poor sound quality
I was given this to take a Spanish Course. There is not much flexibility in the headset, so I found it cramped my large head and tended to give me a headache. It is designed to be only used on the left ear which I found a drawback since my hearing in the right is better. Even when I listed through my right ear I found the sound quality lacking. Am looking for a more comfortable better quality unit.

For Excellent Sound Quality and Comfort!
This Product is one of the best buys with really good sound Quality and also being very comfortable when put on. One cannot possibly lookout for anything other than this when it comes to products of this kind. What it gives is a clear sound quality with excellent microphone sensitivity with both of these features being clear i.e. noise free, to both the listeners. To add to that it is light in weight and comfortable enough to keep them on for a long time.
Being very easy to use just plug in the jacks and its ready for use. Put them on and enjoy the joys of clear sounds and comfort!

Dont buy these if you like to listen to loud music.
These earphones are okay, but they don't have good sound quality. The ear pads on them rip or fall off all the time. They also are big and don't fit snuggly in regular sized ears. I reccomend to buy a different pair. Oh yeah, the cord isn't very long either.

      Earhugger Review
These are good earphones, although the tone quality isnt as good as I would expect it to be. I recomend these earphones if you dont want to spend the extra bucks on all those high tech headphones.

      Volume SUCKS
Its like having a Porsche that can only go 45. Allot of great features in this product as long as don't need to hear the music.. the main thing is that the VOLUME [is horrible]... so low that you can't hear the music if you are in the gym or anywhere there is outside noise... I mean .. this thing is bulky to begin with so I figured it would at least have a good sound boost to it .... WRONG !!!! Low volume....unless you are in a very quiet library i would stay away from this....

      Solid performer
I won't go into the specifics; you can read those elsewhere. Instead I'll give you the pros and cons as I see them.

      PROS:
      - This puppy will read multisession CD's. This means I can burn 10 MP3's on one CD, then go back later and burn 10 more, and so on. This is a BIG plus for me. I don't have to burn a full CD everytime I want to add a couple of songs!
      - Built-in battery charger. I dropped a couple of NiMH batteries in it and I don't plan on ever having to buy batteries for this device again. There is some weirdness to recharging, though - read on.
      - Backlit display.
      - Easy navigation though MP3 tracks. You can search by album, song or artist, and navigating through multiple folders is easy enough.
      - ESP (Electronic Skip Protection) that will prevent skipping during all but the most violent of shocks. 120 seconds for regular CD's, 45 seconds for MP3 CD's.
      - Battery life - I get about 10 hours from a set of AA's (with ESP turned off). I think this is more than satisfactory. Expect 7 hours if you always use the ESP feature (it's not necessary to have it on at all times, I would only use it if I'm walking or jogging).
      - Wired remote - pretty handy. The remote also acts as an FM radio, which works very well and has excellent reception.
      - Price - VERY reasonable for all the features this unit has. By the way, if I didn't mention the feature here, that means it performs as advertised.

      CONS:
      - No resume function. This stinks if you want to listen to audio books. If you shut off the player, it will remember what track you were on, but it will NOT pick up from the point you left off - it goes to the beginning.
      - Charging oddity - if you want to use rechargeable batteries, the manual suggests you charge them while the player is on and playing a CD. That seems weird to me, and it might cause unnessessary wear and tear on the mechanism. I should be able to just plug it in overnight while it's off and it should charge. The manual says you can charge while the player is off, but it will take "a very long time." How long is that?
      - Turning the ESP feature on and off is not accomplished as it states in the manual. I had to figure it out on my own.
      - SLOW scrolling speed on the display. ID3 information is displayed, but it has to scroll across the LCD, and it takes forever.
      - Less than speedy seek times. Not bad, but not great either. It takes about 6 seconds for the player to find a song when you navigate the CD. If you let the CD play through, though, it's fine.
      - Portability - you'll want a fanny pack or a backpack to carry the main unit around in, if you plan on travelling with this unit, since it has no belt clip. The remote unit is supposed to have a belt clip, but:
      - Mine didn't come with a belt clip for the remote. Not sure if it's an oversight or what.
      - This isn't really a con, but I will mention it here; if you like your music LOUD, the iRock Bling might not have enough oomph for you. I find it to be plenty loud with a decent set of headphones, but I know some people need to have ear-shattering levels, which this unit doesn't provide. I think most of you would be satisfied with it, however. I guessing it's on par with other portable units of this type.

In conclusion, this is a nice little player that works very well and does what it's supposed to do. Its price and multiple features more than make up for any shortcomings. I can heartily recommend this player to anyone except hardcore audio book fans, who will want to remember that this unit cannot resume.

        Poor quality
Headphones broke two weeks after I bought them. Can only hear out of one side of them, only plus side to them is that the microphone hasn't broken yet.

Great headphones except for a design flaw.
The headset is nice except for the fact that they broke after 2-3 weeks of use. I can only hear out of the left side and the microphone no longer works. I guess I get to find out how good sennheiser is for support.. the main construction is quite good (hard to break them) except for the tiny little cable that comes in on the left side. I suspect that my headset failure is related to the small cable. Other than the weak/tiny cable this is a really good headset.
The microphone and audio quality is quite good. It is more comfortable than other behind the head headphones I have worn. I had many great gaming sessions with this headset. People heard me clearly and I could hear everything clearly not to mention they remained comfortable for many hours of play.
Hopefully my next pair will last longer.

        looking for quality
Not worth the money. Sound is ok you cannot dup 6.1 surround sound w/headphones. Save your money and get a good set of head phones and save $500.00. You will still experience sound travling rt to lft or lft to rt.

        What you would expect
They are exactly what you would expect for surround sound headphones. The surround sounds do sound like they are coming from behind you, the sound is not ear-blowing, mind-numbingly "surroundific" but it is better than, lets say, the surround effect you would experience using a good pair of headphones on a surround reciever on headphones surround mode.

        it needs an antenna
This radio probably has the same RF tuner as Sony's D-FS601 CD player, but the CD player has much better weak-signal reception. The difference probably is that the CD player gets to use the 3-foot headphone cord as an antenna, instead of only a 10-inch headband. I think the sound quality (on a strong FM station) is fine, and AM reception is OK (most probably uses a ferrite bar antenna like any other radio), TV audio comes in OK probably because TV stations put out a lot more RF power, but weather band reception is nil (no antenna again). I wear glasses all the time, and the radio does seem to accommodate the temple pieces, but the padded wires that go behind the ear lobes to support the radio seem to cut in after wearing the radio for only 15 minutes. I plan to keep this radio, because carrying around a box with separate headphones is a nuisance, but will also experiment with extra padding for the ear pieces and maybe wrapping the end of a 4-foot wire around the headband to see if it will act as an external antenna.

        Good sound but fragile headset
I gave this S2 to my mom for Mother's Day. After a few weeks, the very fine speaker wire that runs inside of the headband somehow became unsecured and exposed. It was then accidentally pulled as my mother removed it one day and the fine wire tore, rendering the unit unplayable.
It has been almost impossible contacting Sony for repair. When I finally reached them, the repair costs for this small repair were unwarranted and I ended up purchasing a new unit at a discount outlet. Sony is engineering is good but their service is terrible. This is not a good prospect for a consumer in the long run.

I thought I would need more BUT...
I was planning buying the Peltor WorkTunes earmuff headphones, but I decided to try these first before I sent away for the Peltors.

I can hear the radio clearly while using the riding tractor and weed wacking. I have other uses besides landscaping, so these turned out to be the right ones for me.

Sometimes the reception isn't 100%, but I attribute that to the work environment. I would reccomend these if "ear protection" isn't paramount.

        What a piece of junk!
I have already gone through two of these (I didn't pay for the replacement, obviously) and already need a third. They break almost instantly. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I would give it zero stars if I could.

worked for 30 days - microphone broke
I had one that worked for a year that came with the original phone. Then, I just ordered this one from Amazon and it worked for 30 days. Like other reviews you see here, people started not being able to hear me, but I could hear them. So the microphone broke. But, I called Uniden tech support and they recommended I replace the battery on the phone for $37. So, I just ordered a new phone and tested the headset -- sure enough it wasn't the phone -- it was the headset. A costly mistake. I would not buy this headset again. Also, Amazon has a 30 day return policy, so if it breaks, make sure you return it within that 30 days or you are stuck with it.

        Don't make my mistake
I decided I wanted a headset so that I could talk on the phone while doing work or cooking around my house. I looked at both this Uniden headset and the AT&T one that is also sold on Amazon. Even though I read the reviews on here that said this headset can easily break I went ahead and bought one for cheap off the Amazon.com Outlet. I used it for a few months and was pretty happy with it. It was comfortable on my head, easy to adjust, sounded good, and I never got any complaints from people I was talking to.

        Then it broke.

So now I'm about to shell out some more money for the AT&T headset and I figured I'd share my new found wisdom with everyone else.
