enjoy random ubearable high pitched scratchy sound??
The software just hasn't evolved far enough...I use a laptop and enjoy the ability to simply plug in my headphones and listen to music. Using a Windows XP Professional Operating System, the problem with this device is that I must start my computer with it plugged in for it to function properly. If my computer has already started, I must plug in the head phones and restart the computer.
Hopefully, their software will improve.
What are the other people talking about? This headset is very good. The usb connection is so relable and fast, unlike the analog connections on normal hearsets that require 3 plugs (right audio, left audio, mic)! This is great if you don't have a sound card. The audio quality is very good too. I listen to music, play games and watch movies. The mic is handy in games that I play like The Specilists, Counter-Strike, and Day of Defeat. The sound quality is beautiful and gives me the chills when I play games like Deus Ex Invis War at night. The robust booms of mortar fire rock my world in Call of Duty. My friends sometimes don't even have their mics on because their mic analog plug is so far from the other sound plugs. Sometimes I wonder why I got my soundblaster audigy 2 soundcard and 6.1 mega works speaker system, o ya, for parties, duh! Anyways, this is a great headset, I don't quite know why the other have experianced what they have.

hmmmmmmmmheadphones are complete garbage....dont waste your money
HORRIBLE!!!I bought these headphones at a sam goody. I wasnt expceting an amazing sound but a descent one. When i plugged these into my cd player it sounded TERRIBLE!!! they sound extremly flat and no bass no treble no nothing. it was like i was listening to air i say that save some money and buy some sonys or spend all your money if u live in the L.A. area and leave a dollar so u can go to your local 99cent store and buy some that i guarantee will sound better and last longer.
ExcellentI loved the headphones and never had any problems with them until my roommate stepped on them and crushed one of the earpieces... but I can hardly blame the company for that. And the carrying case is really cool.

really bad!these are the worst headphones i have ever seen i just got them they are meant for people with HUGE heads they are very uncomfortable with a wierd style that you cant see in the one picture
Good, not great...I guess that you get your money's worth for these Headphones(only cost me $7), but that's about it. Their only SLIGHTLY better than the Headphones you'd get if you bought a new Discman or Walkman. The sound quality is alright if you keep it between 4 and 6, but any higher will result in destortion. Don't even think of using these phones to listen to anything that remotely has bass in it, all you'll get is some ugly sounding noises. Also, the Headphones are shaped really wierd, they seem to be made for people with VERY wide heads. All in all, a decent pair of Headphones from AIWA.

They breakDon't buy these. I bought two pair, and both of them broke. I am not rough with them -- just sitting at the computer listening to music.
Great quality for the priceAlthough is not an excellent product, it's a nice option for the amount o' money you gotta pay for it. It's not recommended for speech recognition like ViaVoice, DragonSystems, etc.

Terrible productI have a Motorola 6400 radio. When I received this headset I followed the instructions as to how to plug it in, including turning off the radio first. This headset overrides the VOX and keeps it on continuously. I am not able to turn off the VOX when the headset is in even though I turn off the VOX prior to plugging in the headset. When it's plugged in, the VOX control does not display at all, leaving it inaccessible. It also "hot-mike's" and causes high pitched noise. I required a headset for my work in the Army in Iraq and this one does not meet advertised expectations. I cannot use it at all.
motorolait's all right i guess i expected more for the price but it is pretty handy

Good speakers, bad microphoneGood solid speakers with the quality you could expect from a low cost Yamaha product. The sound is even better if you plug them into the base of your external powered speakers or system. The microphone, on the other hand, is of a very bad quality. It's hard to install and has very limited mobility. I returned mine after a day because it was just too annoying.
OK for gaming, but...I ordered this pair of headphones with microphone so I could talk to my teammates while playing multiplayer games online while using the Roger Wilco software. The set works alright for this purpose. The microphone picks up my voice fairly well. However, attaching the mic to the headset was somewhat difficult, and I thought I would break it in the process (very tight fit & cheap plastic.) As for the sound quality, it is adaquate for online gaming, however, they they don't put out very much bass at all. A cheap $... pair of headphones can be purchased at any electronics store which will produce a bit better sound quality (but no microphone.)

Decent, inconsistent. These were average headphones at best when they were working. I bought them a few weeks ago, and they provided me with an average sound quality. However, they inexplicably stopped working after a few listens. I do not recommend this pair, instead spend a little (or a lot) more money and go with Grados, top of the line headphones not listed on amazon.com.

Cheap - You get what you pay forI was attracted to these headphones because they looked like a steal. They looked like an extremely great deal for the price that I payed for them (around $25)... but what I got was exactly what I paid for. I got very low quality, cheaply made headphones that barely held up for 2 months. The foam padding started deteriorating about a week after I bought these and they hurt your ears after only about listening for an hour. The sound quality is mediocre, but is better than some at the same price range. My biggest problem with these phones was that they leaked an extremely large amount of sound. You can't be in a room, or even a room over from someone without them knowing what you're listening too. HORRIBLE...
But, they are extremely comfortable if you are only going to wear them for a SHORT period of time. They are VERY cheap, and if you don't mind letting anyone listen with you (sound leakage), then these phones shouldn't be a problem. Okay for the casual listener who doesn't have a whole lot of money to spare. The cord is extremely long, which makes for easy maneuverability but does get in the way sometimes. There is a small amount of isolation, more so than with other headphones at this price, but you still can hear outside noise which kind of defeats the purpose.
I would have gave it a 3... because you really do get what you pay for, but I just can't get over how horrible the sound leakage is with these phones. I've used $.99 cent headphones that didn't have leakage this bad... therefore I gave it a 2.
I'm going to loosen up and spring for a pair of Sennheiser HD-280's... better spending $80 for a supposedly fantastic pair than waste another $25 on cheap junk like this.

okthis pair of headphones is alright, beacuse it is so light and the sound is kind of fuzzy, i would recommend spending a couple extra bucks.
I will admit that these headphones are comfortable, the mic seems to work well, and the whole fold-ability is a nice feature if you were to use them with a laptop and were always on the go; but those are about the only benefits. I only recommend buying these if you enjoy random ubearable high pitched scratchy sound.
