This is simply superb
I think I have taken a good decission in buying this product. After searching over the net for a month, I choose this compact MP3 player as the best one and after using it over a month now, I found it to be the ultimate one when I compare this with other MP3 players those my friends are using.

It gives a harmony sound effect, no need to go for another ear piece. The voice recoding is excellent. I recorded so many songs and sent those to my friends and they couldn't believe that the voice is so much clear when I told them it is recorded by a mp3 player. They felt like I am singing infront of them. Lookwise, it is very nice and very handy for travel purpose. I also carry it with me whenever I go for a meeting. The download is very fast, only you need to attach the cable to the USB port.I don't see any disadvantage of this item. Worth buying it if you are a music freakout person. This item is for someone who loves music and listens to the soft voice. Also, it is one of the best gift items you can think of.

Awesome MP3 Player!
Pros: -Very small and thin, about the size of a credit card. -Extremely easy to put songs on and very fast with the USB 2.0. It only takes about 5-8 seconds per song to download to the player depending on the length of it. -The equalizer is really nice especially since you can customize it. -The battery was fully charged right out of the box and took about 5 minutes to get everything going including installing the software on my computer. -The volume goes up nice and loud and doesn't loose clarity or anything. -The radio has very good reception and never has static. -The screen is very clear and has a nice sky blue backlight. -The leather case is also very nice and handy. Overall I couldn't have picked a better MP3 player with all that the MuVo Slim offers for only $160. Cons: The only complaint that I have is the ear buds that come with it. They have really good sound, but they are so big that they don't fit into my ear and just fall out. Also the latch on the battery compartment is a little fragile, but that isn't a big problem.

Best MP3 Player for your Money!
Overall, this player packs more punch than all the others. No other player can compete in storage capacity (you can buy additional storage to the 32MB included here), and the eGo has more innovative features, such as MP3Mail and Interactivity. Using the i2Go website, you can customize your own news, sports, and weather content for downloading to your eGo. The eGo can also load an IBM microdrive for a whopping 340mb of storage space, or 680mb if you buy two microdrives and the optional Compact Flash Expansion Slot! Also, it's not locked into a certain amount of memory, you can add more as the flash card technology improves. It's also slick-looking and perfect for the car. The eGo is a great product and well worth the money.

The eGo does a lot more than I expected
I bought the 32MB eGo player about 4 months ago. Since then, the company who makes it, i2Go, has made tons of improvements which I just download from the desktop software, the MP3Agent. I love it. I use it a lot in my car - it can play through the car stereo. The coolest is that I can drag and drop my MP3 files from my own collection OR go to i2Go's website and build a program that is the stuff I want to listen to - like news, sports, weather, entertainment info, and music.

I'm actually going to buy more memory (an additional 64MB) from i2Go because I find it better than listening to the radio - more customized for me. The customization, expandability and upgradeability options are awesome!

I have played with a friends MP3 player (not an eGo) and the eGo has great sound quality too.

I highly recommend this product for someone who spends a lot of time on the go.

Great for an MP3 user
I bought my IAudio4 and I am very impressed with the signal to noise ratio, the colors, the storage space, and many other options. I used it to record a mix that I heard on the radio with excellent results. I suggest this unit to all music lovers, especially if you want to use it to work out with!

CON: I did not receive an arm band with the unit.

great MP3 player
I spent a lot of time researching on MP3 players before getting this one and it ends up ABOVE my expectation. I am glad that I picked this one.

The great things about this player:
- It has all the up-to-date features - line in, voice/audio/FM recording, light weight(even WITH an AAA battery), GREAT sound, etc, etc...
- the line-in jack on the player is a regular sized one (3.5mm, same as a regular speaker phone jack). For such a small MP3 player, that means you can plug most audio sources directly into this player without an extra adaptor.
- can be used as a portable mass storage device. I have Windows 98SE, and the driver for Win98 took less than a minute to install. WinXP shouldn't require any software.
- JetShell, the software that comes with the package, is NOT required but I use it for extracting audio CDs to MP3s, and I found the audio quality of the 128bps clips VERY good, better than other extracting tools I used.

Some things I wish I had on this player:
- NO change of color on LCD screen because that just takes up space: this is supposed to be a 512MB player but the actual free space you can use is a little more than 480MB.
- AC adaptor. Two hours of playing drained about 1/3 of the AAA battery life.
- Easier access to USB port - right now I have to open the battery cover to connect it. When you slide open the battery cover, it's very easy to accidentally press the buttons lining up on both sides of the player.

Terrific!!
1. Pros
Great overall sound quality, wonderful BBE effect, enough capacity, very loud, 124 different colors, FM, FM recording, Line In recording, Voice recording, very small, very light, ultra sexy, Mass storage, Mac suppport, Linux support. I can't live without this super garget!

2. Cons
USB 1.1

3. Pros for 2. Cons
fast

This player kicks ass!
I did a lot of research before making my purchase. I looked at equivalent offerings from I-River, Mpio, Creative and Philips. The CW300 was streets ahead.

1) The build quality is superior
2) It is very light and has no moving parts
3) 512MB is ample storage space
4) The radio reception is very good
5) The supplied Cresyn earphones have the best sound quality and clarity of any earphones I have ever tried (although they are not the smallest or most discrete pair I have seen)
6) 30 hours of play time from one AA battery is a pretty accurate claim by the manufacturer
7) The menu system is intuitive and simple to use

If you need to carry your whole music collection around with you, only the iPod is better otherwise this is top of the class.

Music never sounded so good!
All I can say is WOW! This little player is incredible. The controls are easy to use, the sound is beyond belief and the storage is very dynamic. The only thing I didn't like were the headphones that were included. They sound great, but it seems as though they were tested in elephant ear holes. Way too big for my ears. I picked up some wrap-around earphones for running and use the included ones for quality (no movement) listening. I did about 10 hours of research before buying this player. I compared it with the iRiver 390 512mb and decided this was a better deal, design and a lot more intuitive.

Absolutely fabulous
The sound quality is the best I've ever heard from any piece of audio equipment. That's saying alot since the unit weighs less than the AA battery that powers it. With half a gig of space, this thing stores about 16 hours of CD quality music or 32 hours of radio quality music, in something roughly the size of a lighter. Being flash memory based, it won't skip like a CD player or Ipod. It needs better earphones though and the armstrap, although of high quality, only fits women (I can't even get it over my forearm, let alone my bicep *flex* One thing not mentioned anywhere is the microphone is extremely good. The unit will record about 33 hours of high quality sound, making it perfect for students who like to record lectures (the unit has a mode specifically designed for this). Again, this is amazing, considering the size and cost of the unit.

Best flash player ever bought...
I was willing to pay extra for extra features w/ this player and those extras are worthwhile. What the descriptions and iriver site doesn't tell you that this player has a clock and timer.

Joystick does not look like the picture on Amazon or iRiver's US site. It looks like the iRiver North European site: irivernordic.com You can also get a USB Mass Storage (UMS) firmware from that site but I haven't tried it yet.

Alarm function just plays the last played MP3. The timed radio recordings work great but I don't know how to stop it, yet. Look at the manual from iriver's website and see the features for your self as I'm limited to 1,000 words on this review. Sound quality is great and volume even greater. Can go up to 40 but plays loud enough at 20 setting. EQ settings and 3D settings sound really nice, even on the included headphones. The headphones don't have too much bass so I used different ones. Can also adjust battery display setting for alkaline or rechargeable. I hated how previous players displayed inaccurate battery life because they base it on alkaline batteries.

Line-in and radio recordings sound great because I am able to record up to 320bps compared to others like the Samsung that can only go up to 128bps. Recordings are in *.rec format that the included windows utility can convert. The windows utility shouldn't be taken lightly. You can enter, label,& save all your radio station presets from it to save time. The radio reception is alright but what do you expect from such a small device? PLL? I use my home stereo which gets great reception from a Cable TV adapter and use the line-in recording.

The supplied armband is very well made and looks nice. People w/ humangus muscles or just fat arms can't get it around their arms though.

The only cons I see are:
If hold is not in place it is easy to accidently delete radio station presets and other settings. Once you set it don't forget to lock it as there are many options to change.

Can't copy songs from player to computer w/ the included software since there is no official US UMS support. Their version of DRM?

Kenwood 50-Watt Sirius® Satellite Radio-Ready CD/MP3 Receiver with Detachable Faceplate and Changer Controls (KDCMP522)
Made by Kenwood Communications Corp

Best MP3 player for under $200
Here are my pro's and con's for this unit.

    Pro's:
    - Best MP3 player for under $200.
    - Beautiful faceplate.
    - Customizable displays and colors.
    - Great sound quality, with fully customizable Mhz output levels and preamp levels.

    Con's:
    - Track title doesn't display until 4 seconds after it's played/selected.
    - Even with the Loud On and the Bass turned all the way up it still does not produce enough bass.

    Satellite Radio Rocks
I gave up listening to any of the local radio stations several months ago. I just couldn't sit through another "hog report" on the local news radio station and the NPR news staff is just a bit to the left of Mao Zedong. Music stations seem to have a longer play list of commercials than tunes. Forget FM radio on long trips and even keeping a dozen CDs in the car doesn't provide much variety. I found out that Sirius is offering a lifetime subscription plan - one payment and you get satellite radio for the life of your radio without any monthly charges (offer expires Jan 2004). I bought this Kenwood Sirius Radio, the Kenwood KTC-SR902 Sirius satellite radio tuner, antenna, and had it installed locally. Activation was easy. Since then I've put close to 1000 miles on my car. I'm not sure if I'm past the novelty of it yet but I love satellite radio. Sixty commercial-free music channels, news channels from ABC, Fox, CNN, BBC, ESPN, plus a comedy channel, talk shows, Hispanic programming, stuff for kids ... 100 channels in all. The Kenwood system works fine and has excellent sound quality. The only time I've lost reception was when I stopped for gas and was parked under the station's metal awning. Bridges and overpasses haven't been a problem. It does play CDs and MP3 discs too. On the negative side, I'd gladly give up the useless LED animation in exchange for larger buttons or something more functional. You do have to spend a few minutes with both the radio's manual and the tuner's manual to understand how to access even the basic satellite features. You can compare XM to Sirius for yourself. I liked what Sirius offered and voted with my wallet. More info on Sirius is on their web page. If you can't find a channel you like on Sirius then you don't need a radio.

    Very positive first impressions
I just got this and my first impressions are totally positive. I bought it because I was really sick and tired of the dangling headphone wire, which sometimes gets caught on my jacket or other things. I'm surprised that there aren't many products like this.

With support for MP3 and AAC (advanced audio coding, a better-than-MP3 audio format developed by Dolby), the SD05 can hold up to 2 hours of hi-fi music. It's surprisingly easy to operate, and because it's foldable, easy to transport, too. The manual is a bit skimpy, but I think most people can figure it out pretty quick. The headset itself is comfortable, although I wish there were more bass.

    Panasonic Rules
I have never used this particular product before but since it is panasonic it is almost garunteed to be good
    thank you
