This item has the worst user interface for mp3 files that I've ever seen. It does work as advertised, hence the two stars, but the search function rarely works and the buttons are confusing at best. Avoid.

(...). I wasn't expecting it to be perfect and it's not. It won't play all MP3 files. I seem to have the most trouble with VBR encoded files but I've also seen some CBR files that won't play. Some of the controls on the player don't always work as advrtised. For example skipping folders works sometimes but not always. It seems like they rushed this one to market a little soon. But if you do a little testing with the unit up front and you're careful with how you encode your files, it's ok for the price I guess.

First of all, NONE of the 100 music channels on Sirius have commercials. As far as the $3.00 a month subscription difference between Sirius and XM, just wait. XM is dropping their ads soon and they're going to have to make up that revenue somehow. Guess who's gonna pay for it? XM subscribers, that's who. So, don't get too used to that $9.95/mo XM rate, because it's going up. Anyway, here's what I like about Sirius: crystal clear digital reception, a wide variety of in-genre music streams (16 different streams in the "Rock" category alone) and, starting this year, all the NFL games each week. They already carry the NBA and NHL, so Sirius is a sports fan's dream. The docking systems work great, too. I've got a docking kit connected to my stereo at home and another one in my car, so I just pop the Here2Anywhere receiver out of the living room kit and plug it into the car kit to listen to on the way to work every day. When I get home, I take the receiver inside and pop it back into the stereo. The unit has 24 channel presets and it remembers them no matter where it's docked. Sirius is great. I signed up for two years of service and I'm glad I did.

...is obviously an employee of Sirius, all of his 8 reviews are designed to run down XM radio and promote Sirius. What a pitiful, brainlessly-obvious fake. Surely Amazon can do a better job of screening out goons like this, otherwise the credibility of its users' reviews will continue to plummet.

Me, I own nor use neither system, just wanted to post this as a heads-up for unsuspecting Amazon users, so I'm giving it 3 stars as a neutral rating.

I liked the idea of an FM radio built into the mp3 player and the FM Transmitter sounded cool too. It's a tiny little package that works great playing MP3's, loud enough with good sound quality. In FM mode you don't get nearly as much volume as when playing MP3's, but it sounds OK. The FM transmitter function is useless and sounds terrible. Overall, I was not pleased enough to keep this and will look for another.

This device has some serious problems. First, the manual is poorly written, and second it lies about the features it has! It says it is a direct MP3 encoder, but it isn't. It records into another format that you can convert on your PC into an MP3 with the included software. You can't even listen to the files without hooking it up to a PC, uploading, and then converting.

Be warned. This product is not very good.

Yes this case looks nice and it has nice quality. However the felt inside really rubs into your ipod and stains it. It leaves an ugly black smear streaked across it. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!

I got this as a gift and its easy to use - good sounds and lots of functions - however the storage is very small. Can only hold about 20 songs before you run out of memory. I would spend the extra money to get one with higher memory capacity.

This case just cost my friend $242.00 to fix her ipod (at the Apple store) because it offered No protection for the corner of the ipod, and that's exactly where it fell.

The playback of the music on this unit sounds good. It has many problems that outweigh this positive. The worst problem is that it caused my Handspring to lock up quite often causing a soft reset and sometimes a hard reset. It also ate batteries very quickly. I even got a AC adaptor when I was loading the files and a AC adaptor for the car. It still used batteries too quickly.
Also, It takes way too long to load mp3 files on onto it. Innogear was offering a speedloader to load the mmc file faster. Minijam uses a propietary format on the mmc card so you can't just buy any mmc card reader.
You cannot store any kind of file except for mp3 on the mmc cards either.
This is a product that has potential if Innogear will address all of the above problems.
