Excellent quality product.
A Sound Audio SystemThis audio system is perfect for most home entertainment systems. It is a particularly good system if you are living in a space which has a limeted amount of space. Its affordable and can produce very good sound for its price. The sub woofer is capable of producing a high quality bass, while the satalite and central speakers produces a wide range of sound. The only problem is the very slight static sound emitted from satalite speakers, however this should not deter any prospective buyers.
a happy customerthis is an unbelievable sound system for the price. The quatlity is excellent and I recommend this to anyone who wants a great sounding system but not the huge price tag.

Wimps Need Not ApplyWOW! That about sums it up, I never thought a 10" sub could produce such a fantastic atmosphere. I have a large great room with very high cathedral ceilings and a lot of floor space; the CHT-10 fills the entire space with tremendous warmth and accurate sub-range audio. After my initial THX setup and tuning was complete I was completely blown away; during the THX sub audio sweep the bass dipped so low that the audio was almost non-existent, but the feeling throughout the structure was awesome. This has to be the best sounding sub I've ever experienced, I was fortunate to find this in a local Circuit City audio room and was very impressed there. This is one you need to hear and feel to believe.
Definitely not for apartment dwellers.
holy ...bassWhile your girlfriend might not appreciate it (actually..hmm...if you placed it under her seat...anyway) this is a must have for the complete surround sound system. This 10" will shake the house with nice, clean, responsive bass. Along with the need for good loud explosions and the like in action movies, ambient bass is necessary to set moods and this sub is awesome at both. It doesn't only do movies, music sounds equally as impressive. Unless you get a really top of the line surround sound reciever, I don't think they reproduce music as well as a comparable stereo reciever, but this sub really fills in the space and creates a full sound.
I would recommend this sub to anyone who wants powerful, deep, clean bass. I have yet to hear this sub clip/distort. If I could bring it into bed with me, I would.
5 STARS!
AmazingAll I can say is WOW! As with all 10" speakers, the bass is extremely tight. Where this one stands out is the depth of the bass...the specs say 20 MHz...I'm thinking that may be a little conservative. The first time I saw the price I thought it was a little high, but after hearing it, it's worth every penny. If you're in the market for a sub, do NOT pass this one up.

buy these well worth the moneyi bought these because i saw some reviews on here and i researched them on the internet i had a party recently (outside) and in the middle of the day at like 2 my neighbor called and complained and these things weren't even turned a 1/4 of the way up if you want some speakers that look awesome and sound the same buy these they are well worht the money and you will be pleased you can hear everything the highs mids and the bum the bass i listen to everything from blues to reggae so i mean you can't go wrong take my word for it hope you enjoy
You gotta love an english accent!!I have owned a few sets of front speakers in the past few years. Cheap, Optimus (particular model made by CV I do beleive)Some actual CV's (Cerwin Vega)as well as some older Infinity's I got used, cheap. I bought a new 57" SONY XBR HDTV 16:9 ratio and need more wall space. Those 15" monsters were hogging it all. They sounded good but......Along came the Brits. Now let me say, I am no "audiophile". I know what I like and I can afford only so much. (All SONY componets) I had seen some Wharfedale ads in a HT mag. I looked them up on the Internet. They seemed to be well liked but ill represented. Some people who had used some VERY,VERY,VERY high end speakers were not quite satisfied with them but, theynever will be, until they no longer have to use their ears and the sounds are piped right into their brains. I ordered a matched set of the atlantic series, 2 fronts, 2 rears (the 200's) and the center. All in black. (only thing the place I ordered from had at the time) I hooked them up and was very pleased. Let me say that I am 22 years old. I listen to ALL types of music. My friends sleep, parents cry. Rap, Rock, Jazz, Pop. So I selected some George Benson (Take Five) The guitar came through like he was playing in the other room. The bass was solid. And the mids blended. I tried some Moody Blues, crystalin reproduction of the "trippy" chimes, and some Tupac Shakur, just for flavor. Bass was low enough and loud enough to satisfy this "kid". (I'm used to the costant ear ringing, car is wired!) But...... The real test. MOVIES!!!! I selected Star Wars EisodeI. Not my favorite move but, the race scene offers quick sound-to-speaker changes. The speakers didn't miss a beat, or a blaster, flux capasitor, whatever. I paid LESS, I SAID LESS, Than $[money] for all 5 speakers with shipping!!!!! The speakers have black cabinets with gray accents, the same exact shade of gray accents ason My XBR T.V. What a match. Cheap, but not cheap sounding. The cabints are not the best things I've seen, But they are on par with Yamaha, and I feel Energy, Dynaudio. I would not hesitate to order another set of these, or any other Wharfedale product. Not that I am easily swayed, but, cost per sound, I think I found a friend. The company has been around for YEARS. They must be doing something right. Plus compare the price you would spend on these and the price of some Mission, Canton, Psb, Jamo, Dynaudio, ETC. The money saved would buy a DVD player, And a receiver!
More "bang for bucks" than its rivalsI heard these speakers first at the local hi-fi store and they grabbed my attention straight away. The sound quality was crisp and clear across the range (to my rock eroded ears anyway). It was when I turned the volume control up that I realised I'd found what I was really after - the sound just got louder and better. What efficiency! Certainly the best "bang for bucks" pair I auditioned that day. Teamed up with a Sony STRDE-875 this must be one of the best entry level amp/speaker combinations money can buy. Femail vocals, classical, metal, house - I've yet to be disappointed. For surrounds I chose the AT-Center and Atlantic 200's. More for the consistent look of the set than anything else. After hearing the 500's, the 200's 'do the job' but like anything in this industry - when you've heard something better nothing else will ever do again! It's a matter of taste but to me the 'maple' finish just doesn't cut it. The black is the only way to go with this range. Also, if you want a genuine wood finish you'll be disappointed - these are a vinyl veneer - with the maple it's obvious from several metres back, but with the black (even though you know it has to be vinyl) only a close inspection reveals the truth. The bass reflex port is at the rear so be careful with the placement. It was only when I shifted them away from the back wall that they sounded like they did back in the shop. Recommended.

A fantastic bargain: superb, musical, full-range soundThese are excellent bookshelf 2-way speakers, there is no question of that. Their fantastic price (even the MSRP is a good deal!) is only a bonus. Magnetically shielded, rear ported and sweet sounding, these Advents make two-year old Polk Audio, Infinity, Klipsch, JBL and Boston Acoustics 2-ways at twice the price quake in their proverbial boots!
Check the measurements of the speaker box carefully: these are somewhat larger and heavier than most 6.5" 2-way speakers, and they sound better for it. Decently deep (appreciable output at 40Hz in my listening room), satisfying bass and the sweet highs I've come to expect from a well-implemented silk dome tweeter.
I and a friend ended up ordering five pairs of these from an auction site to create home theater systems. Since they are magnetically shielded, you can use them as center channel speakers by putting them on their side. They sound better in that capacity than most $150 (each!) center channel speakers.
We were extremely impressed. Add an inexpensive 8-10" powered subwoofer and an inexpensive dolby digital reciever, and off you go!
A great way to introduce a teenager to "real" stereo equipment: buy a cheap stereo reciever, a CD deck and a pair of these. No stereo minisystem will compete.

ADA880 = Awesome Digital AudioGreat for home owners, home theatres, or especially gamers. I am a gamer, running a 64 voice audio card, yet these speakers rumble my house. You may underestimate the power of the subwoofer, but the size is quite small yet the power is huge. I own different sound systems: bose 141, cambridge soundworks dtt3500 ( costs 300$ and requires soundblaster card RIP OFF). However, the one that surpasses the others is the ADA880. This is a great system, with its feature of 2 or 4 channel audio. Trust me, you won't go back. I started on my PC works system which had 10watt subwoofer + 3 watt per satellite. However, this system has 40 watt subwoofer and 7 watt per sataellite. For 40 watts, this is just as good as a BOSE subwoofer. THIS SOUND SYSTEM ROCKS AND I KNOW BECAUSE I AM AN EXTREME GAMER WHO PLAYS COUNTERSTRIKE HALF LIFE, UNREAL TOURNAMENT, MP3s, AND DVD MOVIES. I PLAY THIS ALL ON *ANALOG* TOO. WITH DIGITAL, IT IS ABOUT TWICE AS GOOD!
cooooooooooolthis product is very coool. once u sit down , and hear the sound , u will never want to get up and , grab a snack anymore, u just want to watch a movie and heard the sound , this product relly masterpiece

This is the best!!I thought I already wrote a review for this, but I guess not. This is the greatest because you don't need to buy anything except, the speakers and this sub (oh yeah, the deck too!). This sub amplifys four additional channels and the sub!! I put this into my 1970 beetle and it sounds great!!
Buy This If You Have A Car!!!Hi there!!! My name is Scott and I think that if you have a small car, you should buy one!!! I have a 1970 VW Beetle and this is soo cool! It amplifies itself and 4 other channels. If you don't know what that means pretty much you can put in 4 speakers, or if you have crossovers, 6 or 8 speakers!!! I have a Sony Xplod CDX700 or something and component speakers (2 with the crossovers on them) and two 6-by-9's in the rear. If I really wanted to (I don't know who would, but) I could put in 2 more 4 channel amps (thats 8 channels) with crossovers on each channel (16 speakers), plus the internal amp (4 channels plus a crossove on each channel) 8 more speakers (well 24 when you add it together), I could also put a tri-way crossover on each channel which would triple the amount of speakers than with a normal crossover!!! I really wouldn't have enough room for any more speakers, but it's still cool to know I can do all this stuff. So if you are looking for a good, compact sub/amp get this one!!! You will like it!!!

These speakers are awsomeI brout home 3 different brand of speakers home. The bose 601 were far supperior. The sound was everwhere in the room, just as clear and crisp as any speaker I have other heard. Truely a work of art.
Bose has done it again!Wonderful room filling speakers. The sound you hear with these speakers is the way sound was meant to be. Everytime I turn these speakers on I am in utter amazement and love to crank it up! People that complain about this wonderful company are either deaf (probably from cheap bassy products) or do not know how to operate a simple stereo system. I have yet to be disappointed in a Bose product. They are worth the extra money.

Buy thisThis Bose system costs three or four times as much as other competing systems. I used the word competing because other systems are in no way comparable. The sound quality from this sytem is simply unbelievable. If you buy these speakers, you will be moe than satisfied with them.
Superb VoiceI dn know what some guys are looking. This system is man just incredible. What you want is quality sound and save space. This is what this system has. All I had to do was toss Sony's speaker cable and replace them with Monster cables and the sound was very strong. I tested out just how loud they could go using Gladiator with DTS they handled unhumanly loud volume and bass with no distortion.
If you have a small living room/den, or you're living in an apartment and you want to get into the home theater scene without going broke then this is the system for you.
