A few years ago, I wrote a review of the JBL 412P's as my new front end speakers. I loved them then and I love them now. They replaced my teen-aged Bose 501's. The 412P's as front speakers have served me very well on several fronts. They are as beautiful as they are impressive esthetically. They produce clean sound that is satisfying in every range that I can perceive. The (2) 200W powered subwoofers have helped me settle the foundation of the house a few years early!

Unfortunately, just as I was ready to remove the 501's (which were now my rear speakers) and replace them with another JBL Studio series product, Harmon Kardon (which owns JBL) killed the Studio series line. Not good!

At first I was hesitatant to even consider the Northridge line for my rear speakers. I never liked the look of the Northridge line in comparison to Studio Series line. However, considering the price, quality and company reputation, my needs are very well met. The look is much closer to the Studio line now.

I'd be happy with the E90's as either front or read speakers. I would recommend them to anyone with the possible exception of high end audiophiles. If you like to listen to music, especially DVD-A or SACD, these are some beautiful and more than adequate rear speakers!

I have been considering the JBL ND310IIs and was surprised to see that they have been replaced with the new E90s. I recently experienced them in a local electronics store and found them to have a fantastic presence. Unfortunately, I was unable to compare them directly with the old ND310s. If memory serves me correctly, their sound quality is similar or superior to the old ND310s. However, the price is about double the closeout prices on the old model. The cabinets are slimmer/deeper than the old 310s, and they are available in various wood finishes, a big plus. The new E90's frequency response is slightly better than the old ND310s, but it is close. I am not sure what to make of the differential, but am confident that JBL has improved this one over the stellar ND310s. Anxious to read a professional review. The cabinet design is much better looking. I love the tall, slim, deep look.

I love a lot of bass so I purchased two of these for my system!
The subterranean lows that you get from dvd's with a lot of action and explosions is simply phenomenal! As the previous reviewer stated the cable makes all of the difference. Although it is somewhat expensive, I used Kimber Cable to hook up my subs to the Pioneer vsx-45tx receiver that is controlling my system. I couldn't be happier!

Have been using this excellent product for less than a month, but I think it's a great choice. I connected the S120PII with a Transparent Cable Link 200 cable after hearing and reading about complaints concerning subwoofer buzz and hum. As a side note, I would recommend getting a good cable. I say this after upgrading the Monster cables to my front speaker pair with something called Synergistic Research. The improvement was immediate; an extended audio image and larger bass notes (without subwoofer).

Anyways, my receiver only sends frequencies under 100Hz to the sub; so when I first listen to the sub, I momentarily thought the sub was defective. The cable and sub combination puts out tight and very clean sound.

After playing with the level control, I realized the low frequencies were there. I didn't have it very loud at this point and at lower volumes, frequencies under 100Hz seem to contribute more to audio imaging than to a louder bass presence. I later did the wall shaking drill; with 400 watts, this sub does a nice job of it.

The directionality of the bass notes from the sub will depend on the frequencies sent to it. According to tech literature, somewhere between 80 to 100Hz the location of the LFE speaker will become slightly evident at higher volume levels. At 100Hz, I did not detect any obvious directionality.

This is a great subwoofer. Invest in good wire; you will not be disappointed.

I have long been a fan of JBL speakers and have waited too long to splurge on decent speakers. (I wanted to buy the L100's in 1980 but did not have the cash!!) The S412PII speakers arrived today after a several week wait, but it sure was worth the wait. You will need help bringing them in at 100 pounds each!! Amazon's offer for these speakers with no sales tax and no shipping make this a deal that any audiophile should not pass on. Compare these speakers to any other speaker under $5k with the built in powered sub and you will not be dissappointed. Your only dissappointment will be in waiting, check JBL's website and you will not see these because they are being disscontinued. So act fast. These speakers will really rock the house or sound incredible at low levels. Do yourself another favor, when you order, get the Eagles When Hell Freezes over DVD, sit back, open a cold one and enjoy.

My dad bought me these speakers for my computer when I went of to college. Truthfully, they have clear sounds and they are the perfect size for my dorm room. I would definately recomend these speakers to anyone who wants to buy them...they are a good price and lasted me a long time!

These Kenwood speakers are very durable, not like some other speaker where the speakers look fine, but the sound quality is poor. Kenwood speakers are very durable, compatable, and have incredible sound. When looking for a good speaker, I would definately reccomend these speakers to start out with.

I bought this sub 4 days ago and I'm so happy that I did! This thing has very very deep bass. I watch 2 Fast 2 Furious and in the first racing secne I got chills all over I felt like I was in them cars. I had the 50w sony sub that come with my home theare system. Back then I had to have the volume up high to get decent bass in music. But how with the KLH E-10DB I can have the volume low and I get alot of deep bass. Buy it, You will love it!

I got this bad boy and had it hooked up after a quick run to Radio Shack for the correct cable, it didn't come with any. There are 2 ways to hook it up, by itself or you can have the speakers run through it which is a plus. The sound is great...Ive gotten many complaints and its only been a few hours :) I recomend, good buy for the money.

I'd love to write a real review, but my order for 2 Rave CF12-400s from a month ago still hasn't come in. What's more, the speakers aren't simply backordered, but have come into stock and gone back out of stock repeatedly since the date of my order, which makes me wonder where that stock is going if it's not being shipped to me (as I have been waiting for a month). I'd appreciate if Amazon had at least communicated with me every once in a while, to keep me up-to-date on the status of my shipment, but instead I had to write customer service to get any information. Even then, the information they gave me didn't answer the questions I had asked. As of a couple of days ago, Amazon indicates that it's finally shipping me ONE of the two speakers (what I'm going to do with one, I have yet to figure out), while the second speaker's delivery estimate is not even available yet. This is by far the worst and most unprofessional experience I've had with Amazon to date.

(By the way, I didn't want to harm this speaker's ratings just because of Amazon's poor service, so my review of five stars is pending the shipment of my order, whenever that might be.)

My Husband & me both bought one of these & we both think they sound great, especially for the money....

i've owned much more expensive speakers. as much as 800.00 a pair. i wanted to upgrade from my infinity's. i thought they were to uninvolving. i went to my local hi fi dealer, and listened with an open mind. they had a few pairs of klh speakers, which surprised me. i told the salesman i wanted to hear every narrow tower.
when i realized which speaker i picked as my favorite, i was amazed. i listened again and again. finally i took these home over some much more costly speakers. listen for yourself. awesome value!!!!! Very natural sounding

I bought these a month ago and hooked it up to my ... amp. They sounded really good the bass was high for music, but For home theater you might need a sub-woofer to pump up the low bass. I have listened to many speakers but could not tell the difference between these and the ones that cost [$$$]a pair. I also have [another set] at home, but these sound as good or even better. I will recommend this to anyone for the sound quality, style and price.

The NHT 2.5i are the latest upgrade to my stereo consisting of a Rotel RCD-971 CD-Player, RC-955 Pre-Amp giving signals to an Aragon 8002 Power-Amp. These speakers really do require a lot of clean power to get the sound they are capable of. My amplifier give 125 watts into 8ohms, but since these speakers have a nominal impedence of 6ohms, I'm giving about 185 watts per channel. They have amazing bass response and midrange clarity that cannot be found at the same price. They are very sensitive to source material, put in bad stuff and you'll get a bad sound. These are the best speakers for your money! If you don't need the bass response, get the NHT 1.5. They are also truly wonderful.

I have been an NHT fan for a few years now and just recently upgraded from the NHT Super Ones for my left and right main speakers. I am super happy with them. The sound is great - good base, very clean. I am more into home theater than music and with the NHT VS-2 as my center and a couple of NHT Super Ones in the back - the sound is very, very good. I think NHT is a good value, too.

The NHT Super One makes an excellent value for someone looking for superior sound reproduction but not yet ready to spend thousands on a speaker system. Purchase a pair of these for up front, a pair of super zeros for the rear, and a single for the center channel. Finish off with a subwoofer for a complete surround sound experience that rivals systems costing 3 or 4 times the price.

You will not be dissapointed with this speaker.

I have had five of the SuperOne speakers for several years now. Along with my M&K Subwoofer, these speakers are all anyone would ever need for a Home Theater System or just plain listening to any type of music. The Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 soundtracks are awsome to hear at any level. When you crank up the volume (try the opening minutes of Saving Private Ryan on DVD) you can't believe the sound. You start looking for a place to take cover yourself. You won't be dissappointed with the SuperOnes by/buy the pair (2) or by/buy the fives (5). A quality subwoofer is needed however for the very low end of the spectrum.

Great sound for the price. 100 watts in each channel including a 100 watt sub provide endless bounds of volume! Good clear high ends which can be DSP'd so as not to sound harsh. Mid-range is clear, but can be reduced by a "loudness" button if so desired. The sub is very quick and provides clean low end sound. Be advised however that the sub does distort under extreme circumstances! Overall a very good system and simple to use. One thing I did not particularly like was that the wires for the surround speakers were not long enough!

I have to say I'm really surprised at the sound this system produces. For the price this system can not be beat. I'm very happy with this purchase and my friends who have higher end systems are also really surprised at this system and I'm smiling all the way to the bank!
