I love the neat volume adjuster which looks like a little neon light blue mouse. You can add more or less bass or crank the sound to get rid of any hearing you have left. Oh and by the way...you can also hook up a PS2/X-box to this monster and make your neighbor think there's a little war starting next door!

Several recent upgrades and additions to two different home theater systems necessitated several new audio and video cables and speaker wire. The addition of a Bose Acoustimass 10 Home Theater System which of course has its own speakers wires and a Sony receiver with the option of surround back speakers necessitated some additional speaker wire to use with an older pair of Bose 301 Series III speakers.

When it comes to quality in speaker wire I find the subject to be somewhat perplexing. To me, as long as the speaker wire clearly identifies the positive and negative cables and the sound comes from the speakers, its good speaker wire, leaving the quality aspect to the receiver and speakers that it's hooked up to. Obviously, to me, when it comes to purchasing speaker wire, you can do one of two things; spend an extraordinary amount of money or a reasonable amount of money depending on the name of the manufacturer.

Since attaching Acoustic Research's AP1650 speaker wire to my Bose 301 Series III speakers in the surround back capacity, I've heard nothing but clarity of sound coming from those speakers when they're in use, leaving me to believe that this is very good speaker wire.

Although I wouldn't say that this is a rave review for this particular product as I don't think that there is a great amount of difference in speaker wires with the exception of pricing; I would definitely have to recommend Acoustic Research's AP 1650 or any other "model" of their speaker wire as they seem to be the best when it comes to meeting the minimum requirement of marked wire and decent pricing! {ssintrepid}

These speakers have a increadible range of noise. They depict the midrange and highrange perfectly.

They, however, do not offer much base, so i would not recomend them for the front speakers.

They add a nice touch when you can hear them in DTS or THX, expecially if you have a good receiver.

Well worth the price, and are easilly compare'able to bose speakers.

This wire is perfect for surround sound installations. It is VERY thin, much thinner than the Monster Cable surround cable. It is completely invisible under carpet, and it hides very nicely on walls (one possible negative - if you stick it to the wall, consider it a permanent installation, because the paint will come off it you try and remove the wire).

I was anxiously searching the web for some nice speakers for my Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop. I happened to swstumble across these, and saw that they were unbelievably inexpensive. So, I purchased them, and 3 business days later (standard shipping!), I got the best quality and performing speakers! They're really great, and the sound amplifies about 100000 times better. There's even a volume adjustment knob and an outlet for headphones. Plus, they look really sleek. I highly recommend these speakers!

I've had the chance to experiment with different speaker systems and I have to admit, Altec Lansing blows all other speaker systems away. Whether you're a hardcore gamer or a pure music lover, this system is sure to knock you down. This system is recommended for pure music listening pleasure. It comes with a very powerful subwoofer and a set of four finely designed, sleek looking flat panel speakers. Not only is the design appealing, the surround sound that these speakers produce is absolutely thrilling.

If you have a DVD player on your system, these speakers are your best bet. I have set them up in my room so I have all four speakers in the four corners of my room and the subwoofer right next to my PC, in the middle of the room. These speakers create a theater-like environment and they captures even the finest audio details. If you have these speakers be careful, because the neighbours might complain!

...I've ever made. These speakers (including Aperion's 12" sub) are incredible. I've got the 7.1 setup teamed with Onkyo's DS898 A/V receiver and have been rocking for nearly 8 months. It doesn't matter whether I'm watching "Fight Club" or listening to Boney, the sound is always impeccable. They're beautifully constructed and while not made of solid hardwood their veneer is much, much better than any vinyl-wrapped speaker I've come across. The construction is solid----each satellite weighs 11-12 lbs. Sure there are better systems out there. I seriously doubt you'll find a better one for the price. To top it all off the Aperion sales folks are the BEST I've ever dealt with---in any line of business (that includes USAA Insurance and Banking, who are unbelievable!). You just can't go wrong with these speakers.

I HAD TWO IMP PREMIERS 12S HOOKED UP TO A 1000 WATT AMP. THIS ONE AUDIO BAHN OUT BEAT BOTH 12S. EVERYONE THINKS THAT I HAVE AT LEAST 2 12S IN MY CAR NOW BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE. I THINK IT IS THE BEST FOR THAT RANGE OF POWER. DEEP AND CLEAN BASS.

I use these speakers for ambient room music. I have a open floorplan house and put these speakers in the wall high enough to be somewhat omnidirectional. I like the round look in the wall better than the square versions. When shopping for speakers, I looked at all brands. A piece of advice on a expert distributor website was not to spend too much on in wall speakers as they are not working in an engineered speaker box, which is critical to speaker performance. In other words, more money doesn't buy you much. For ambient music, these speakers are great. They have excellent fidelity and while you can't pound out the bass, the rest of the music duplication is really good. The tweeter is very lively on this speaker, which surprised me. The size is around 8" outside diameter, so the IC8S speakers would have been huge. They were a snap to install as I had a good wall chase for running the wire. I'm very happy with this product.

I pulled this from a review I wrote on audioreview.com. "Do not listen to this sub unless you want to lose your hearing. I write this as a former Velodyne owner. I had the VA1012 (~$700) for about 3 months. It did fine for movies but was just too sloppy for audio. I wanted something more accurate and more punch. I A-B'd the Velodyne F series 12" servo sub (~$1200). It was definately tight but didn't have the volume for movies. The F series 15 (~$1700) was out of my price range and I wouldn't have been married the next day had I brought that one home. I was getting ready to walk out and be content with my Velo 1012 (that was in the back of Jeep ready to be traded in) when the salesman said, "wait a minute, what about this B&W, we just got it in and I haven't had a chance to listen to it." He turned it on and I noticed my pant legs moving from the air pressure. It turned out to be a B&W ASW 2000 ($1000 retail). Definately in my price range. I traded in my sub and took the ASW home. It's got a 175W amp made by Rotel and weighs ~80lbs. It's big and bad. I took it home and hooked up my Marantz 780, B&W 600 series speakers and Air Force One on DVD. It moves a lot of air and is loud. That was four days ago and my left ear is still sore. I'm going to start listening w/ ear plugs in just so I can have the air movement that I like. :) My coworkers are still talking about the experience. One said they actually felt like they were getting shot in the initial machine gun scene because of all the air pressure. I know that B&W's previous sub attempt at the AS6 was an abysmal failure, but they have pulled themselves out of the mire with this new series. Compared to similar priced Velo subs, I got more volume, precision and air movement for the money. Check it out. I hope my hearing comes back."
