This center channel really does a great job of reproducing the dialog in my home theater. It is crisp and clear sounding and works extremely well with the 602's that I have. Highly recommended for any audio/videophile.

The DM 603 S2 is the first floor-standing speaker in the 600 series. It's a good speaker, though, with a reasonably decent low-end (although I'd add a sub to this speaker if it's being used in a home theater), and a fantastic tweeter and midrange that's worth auditioning if you can get a chance.

These speakers easily beat the JBL speakers that came with my compaq. They have the quality of much mo' expensive speakers. In addition they have convenient headphone and mike ports in the front. When i first plugged these in, i was dissapointed until i realized that the base was all the way down. The adjusted base is nice, but you cannot really get higher base by moving it up. These are great for people who use headphones w/mic, due to the dual plug port. I demand that you purchase these.

I have owned a pair of Bose 301 speakers for 15 years. They still sound great! They are hooked to a Yamaha A/V receiver that is conservatively rated at 85 watts per channel. I would recommend these speakers to anyone wanting a good pair of speakers without spending a lot of money for them. You can shop around and pay more for speakers, but why waste your time and money. The Bose 301 speakers are durable, sound great, look good and best yet, won't bust your budget. I would recommend these speakers to almost everyone looking for a pair!

For an above average entry into Home Theater, it is hard to imagine how you could beat this system. The tiny cube speakers disappear into the listening room and one can place the Acoustimass module out of sight (but pointed correctly - more on this in a moment) then the sound comes from everywhere!
Many people chastise Bose systems claiming the bass is not "thumping" enough. But maybe they are missing the point. Bass should not be 'thumpy' but smooth, clean and absorbed by the bodies of the listeners!
The trick to getting beautiful bass from this system is to aim the opening of the bass module TOWARD a side wall, leaving about 2-3" from the wall. You can adjust the distance a bit to change the bass, but you will be pleasantly surprised.
The bass is clean, without loosening floor tiles and with reasonable care in the placement of the 5 cube speakers,well, it is hard for my friends (and myself) to believe the sound that surrrounds!
Set up is EZ, with cables already in place on the bass module; you just prepare the connection by separating the twin leads to match the placement of the cube speakers, and you're done!
Set up your AV receiver according to the EZ 2 READ chart on the enclosed instructions and you are ready to enjoy Home Theater, thanks to this incredible BOSE system.

I've had my Bose Lifestyle 35 system for a few days now, and this system is the best you can get! My listening room has 24 foot cathedral ceilings with hardwood flooring, so the acoustics are very lively. The Adapti-Q, auto-equalization, process "listens" to your room's acoustics and sets the sound perfectly. For this reason, the media center does not have any type of readily accessible tone adjustments. You can go into the settings mode to make adjustments, but it is inconvenient and for all practical purposes, unnecessary. It amazes everyone that the tiny jewel cube speakers sound so awesome. One thing to remember: if you're building a new house and want it pre-wired for home theatre, buy this system first, as the speaker cables use special connecters at each of the five speakers, and RCA plugs at the Acoustimass module. You'll need to pre-wire with these cables rather than regular speaker wire. However, Bose can send you adapters for existing speaker wiring.

Having recently purchased the Bose Acoustimass 10 Series III Home Theater Speaker System, it quickly became clear to me that the UB-20W wall/ceiling speaker brackets were the only choice when it came to conserving space. As a whole, given the instructions, a power drill, a 7/32" drill bit and a Phillips head screwdriver, the installation of these speaker brackets was quick and simple.

One note of caution though, the instruction booklet calls for a ¼" drill bit for drilling the holes for the plastic anchors that are supplied with the kit, a ¼" drill bit is just a tad too large and will cause you to send the plastic anchor right on through the wall, never to be seen again. A 7/32" drill bit is perfect for this job!

I highly recommend these wall/ceiling brackets if you're looking at purchasing any of the above listed Bose speakers. They're perfect for the job and, providing you purchase the white or black ones depending on your walls, seamlessly fit right in, not to be noticed. {ssintrepid}

Let me start this review by saying that I'm not an "audiophile" and won't be including any gibberish about audible ranges or anything like that. I just can tell when I hear good sound that I like. And these speakers produce that. Plenty of bass (almost too much, I had to turn down the base on my receiver) and beautifully clear mid-range and high notes.

Connected these Bose speakers to my 25 year old Yamaha 500 RX receiver and an old Toshiba DVD player. The system sounds great. In addition to CD and Tuner, I bought a cable that allows me to connect the receiver to my laptop computer, and now I get the best sound I've ever heard from all my Internet radio stations, CD's, ITunes, and games.

And best of all, these speakers are small enough that they don't take up hardly any room in my home office. Little cubes are on the side of the room and are not obtrusive. Acoustimass module shoved in the corner.

Only really down side I can see is the cost of Bose products. These are pretty expensive and you can probably find speakers that sound just as good for less money. But, I guarantee you they will not be as small and fit as well in your room.

We just bought the Bose AM-3 Series speakers to replace 16 year old KEF speakers. We needed the space the old ones took up, and decided since we didn't listen to the stereo as much anymore, we could sacrifice some performance quality for size.
What a wonderful surprise to find that after hooking them up we lost nothing in quality. In fact, because we could place the mini-speakers up high (off the floor and out of the way), we have much better sound separation.
We weren't sure whether to go with the 3-Series or the 5-Series, but the 3's are fine for our needs. We would definitely recommend these for anyone who has moved past the old "audiophile" phase and wants really good sound at an affordable price.

For several years now I've enjoyed the use of these speakers, especially the VCS-10 center channel speaker which works wonderfully in conjunction with the receiver's settings to bring voices out and I've used the Model 100's as the front B speakers just to bring in some additional sound. The advertising here suggests using the Model 100's as rear/surround speakers, either way, these speakers are very good speakers and will work very well in whatever capacity you place them.

I've recently replaced all of the speakers on my primary system with the Bose Acoustimass 10 Series III Home Theater Speaker System and have moved these speakers to the secondary system in conjunction with a pair of Model 301 Series III speakers and another pair of Model 100's as the rear/surround speakers and have found this to be an enjoyable combination for this system.

All three of these speakers are magnetically shielded so you can go right ahead and put that VCS-10 right on top of your television set and it won't affect it any way. The Model 100's can be placed anywhere you desire to put them and Bose also manufactures wall/ceiling mounts for them which are very affordable and simple to install.

The VCS-10 Center Channel Speaker can also be purchased independently and is a highly recommended item for those, like myself, whose hearing just isn't what it used to be. This model definitely brings those voices out during those "low" moments in movies.

Overall, I'd highly recommend the VCS-30 II Home Theater Surround Set as it is an affordable solution to a desire for a quality set of surround sound speakers and serves as just another testament to the long history Bose and the quality that goes with that name! {ssintrepid}
