Great Sound bad hardware
This system is perfect for filling a large office with sound. It sounds as good as my home stereo system, but it can't be cranked quite as much.

I have had these for 3 years now, and the speaker input clamps on the sub are made of plastic, and 2 of 4 have snapped off. Take care when connecting not to let those brittle suckers pop. Pain to fix, so now I just have it rigged to stay connected.

They still sound great!!!

Amplified Sound!
The CSW Microworks computer system gives off exceptional sound from my PC. Now I can listen to my favorite music all day while working. I just purchased another system for my home desktop. The bass on these is fabulous for such a small subwoofer. As an avid music lover, I am very impressed with this speaker system.

Awesome speakers for music and games....
I bought MicroWorks about 3 years ago (when they cost a lot more then $150!). I went out looking for decent computer speakers to replace the tinny HKs that came with my computer. The salesperson in the Cambridge CSW store played these for me and I was stunned by the sound. I shopped around but everything I listened to after that I compared to the MicroWorks and none could even come close. I use the speakers on my PC because that's where I listen to most of my tunes. From downloaded songs to CDs to games...heck, even for listening to the "You've Got Mail" announcement, these things are the best.

Great Center speaker
I have had this speaker for a while. A good choice. Well priced for the quality. Lacks a little in bass, so I recomend sending the bass to your main speakers. No other center speaker touches it under 400 bucks.

Good overall sound
I purchased this center channel to complete all the Cerwin-Vega speakers I have. I was a little leary on it with the big floorstanding E-712's with a 98dB rating and this only being 92dB, but I was surprised. I actually have to turn this down to hear the other speakers. Tonal quality is good and it's being run by a Yamaha rx-v2095 with 100w/ch. Between the Yamaha's good reproduction and Cerwin-vega's performance its a good match together. Definitely would recommend this center channel with old or new Cerwin-vega.

A+ in Clarity !
This speaker is the best investment in my Home Theater system. Originally I had a Bose AM-10 system powered by a Kenwood VR-1090 Dolby-Digital Receiver connected to a satellite system and DVD player. There were so many times my wife would ask, "what did they say" ? The vocals were so hard to pick out of the surround-sound that many times I would activate the subtitles. Even with adjusting the decibel level of the center channel way higher than the rest, vocals were hard to hear. I tried Sony, Kenwood, and a JBL N-Center speakers to correct the problem with not much success. Then the day came when I purchased this wonderful little jewel. What an improvement ! I can actually hear all vocals with such clarity that now I want to throw my Bose speakers in the garbage and fill my room with Cerwin-Vega's !! The tonal quality is superb and weighing in at just over 20-pounds, it's truly a heavyweight of a center-channel. Do yourself a favor and BUY Cerwin-Vega from now on !!!

It's Great!!!!
Heard them, heard others, and I am quite impresed with the sound they deliver for a 3 piece-speaker system. I highly recomend them for quality and normal spending.

Awsome for the price!
I can't believe how great these little speakers sound for the price I paid. I had some old ratty old speakers from my original computer, circa 1996, not realizing how deprived I was with the sound coming from those dinosaurs. I don't play games, so never saw the need for better sound. I just got an awsome
Dell with no speakers, so I decided to try these because they were such a bargain. These speakers are great, highly recommend them to anyone on a budget. The sound is clear and the bass is good. I could blast the neighbors if I wanted to. Very pleased indeed with my purchase.

you're a college student?
My roommate (in a college dorm) owns this system and he loves it. I happen to find this ... when searching for another system (my old one is dead). The flat speakers capable of being hanged on the wall and the compact sub are perfect for the small desks most college dorms offer. This stylish system is a great for people who cares about music but cares about the space taken (and the wallet) as well.

A good starter system, only one major weakness
This is an excellent starter system with very good sound and component integration. The speakers are great, too. The only qualm I have with this system is the way graphic equalizing is handled: you get a set of presets (Jazz, Rock, Pop, Classic, etc.) that may or may not be suitable for your favorite CDs and such. You have to play around a lot to find the right setting. Somehow, though true graphic equalizers add $200 or so onto the price of systems like this. So if you're not *too* picky, this may be the perfect system for you. If you are *very* picky, I recommend a more expensive model with full graphic equalizer controls.

Good with one quibble
I have the similar (but lower end model) HT-D290 which lacks the subwoofer and is only "digital ready". But I notice that this model suffers from the same problem as mine: there is no ENTER button on the remote. So you can't do a lot of things like enter FM presets and other things. I don't know why they would leave off such an important key. That and it takes a while to figure out everything the receiver can do (and it has an annoying flashing clock if you don't set it or turn it off) are my only problems. But it is still a great value.

Excellent Home Theatre System for an Excellent Price
I purchased the AIWA HT-D325 and I'm impressed by the sound quality it produces. The system comes with 5 speakers built for surround sound as well as a powerful subwoofer. The speakers produce a great sound, and for the price of this system, you can't beat the fact that you're getting all the speakers you need to enjoy surround sound. A plus-- There are inputs for two additional front speakers (you can add more sound, but you really don't need to). The reciever is equipped for Dolby 5.1 Surround (great for your DVD's!), has 5 preset modes of Dolby Pro Logic Surround (Rock, Pop, Jazz, Classic, BGM) and with those, you can toggle between Normal, Wide, and Phantom Dolby Pro Logic Surround. It also comes with 4 Digital Signal Processor (DSP) functions that can recreate sound environments -- Dance, Live, Hall, Arena. The combination of the Graphic Equalizer (GEQ) functions (the Rock, Pop, Jazz... group) and the DSP gives you a lot of sound capabilities. Another plus about the reciever is the audio and video inputs: you're given CD, tape, phono, aux, and 3 video inputs. I like having that many options in a reciever that's priced as this one is. You probably won't find a better buy and still get the functionability and quality that this unit gives you. Highly recommended...

bic speakers
I own the same model, except it has different letter model prefix. Product appearance in regards to exterior visual finish is mediocre. The inherrent value is found not in manufacturing achievement, or audio excellence compared to high priced esoteric speakers of which I also own, but in the value that these have in sound quality for such a low price.
These have been used daily in my bedroom theatre for over 7 years and have been decent sounding and reliable at high listening levels. These speakers will not disapoint at price point compared to other chaff produced by large manufacturers at this price point such as bestbuy/circuit city etc. If you are looking for inexpensive speakers with high quality manufacturing and sound accuracy, purchase energy speakers for another $20. Energy is not discounted via mail order/internet, so you will have to go to authorized dealer.

Excellent
After reading many reviews of many different bookshelf speakers I went with these. The only other speakers I auditioned were Paradigm Titans. These really sound great! and are affordable to boot! They have a full sound in music and cinema. If your looking for an affordable pair of speakers don't skimp and buy KLH, buy these. Also if you hunt around the internet you can get the crossovers modified for even better sound.

Bic Venturi DV62SI
I was looking to replace my Boston Acoustics a60 pair after about 20 years of use. I read as many reviews as I could find on the internet and also looked at Consumers Report. I kind of narrowed it down to the JBL S26,Venturi DV62si and Polk r15. The DV62si won the competition. I auditioned each of the speakers and found the BIC pair to have a singularly beautiful sound especially for classical and jazz (which are my mainstays). I was pleasantly surprised by the bass response since CR said they were a bit "bass shy". I recommend highly. (I have my speakers on 12 inch stands.) Bravo BIC.

clean bass, great balanced sound
I recently upgraded to the AM6 model having retired my AM3 (with different rear speakers). I have read other reviews on other sites that claim this system won't rattle the walls - well, perhaps the contributor did not set up the system correctly. Place the AM module (bass module) FACING the wall, about 2-3" away and prepare yourself for enjoyment!
I think a lot of Home "Theaterphiles" prefer the "boomy" or "thumpy" bass - well, more power (no pun) to them! The Bose AM6 produces the kind of bass response I really like - smooth, pure and without the boxy thump some systems make.
The surround image is a delight and one can fiddle with the little speakers to create an image field to suit one's taste.
All in all, it is hard to beat the quality and versatility of this system.

Crisp, clean and high quality, but not loud enough
I was lucky enough to find the Acoustamass 6 system at Sam's club coupled with JVC amplifier/tuner for a little less than you would pay for both if purchased separately. Bose lives up to their reputation for quality sound, but I found the system to be lacking in sheer ear-bleeding amplitude. The system can be run safely (100 W per channel) at maximum volume, but it simply doesn't get as loud as I think it should. Otherwise, I have no complaints about this fine product from Bose.

I had doubts, but no more
I had been leaning towards a powered subwoofer and larger satellites from other companies when my wife gave me the AM6 on the recommendation of an audiophile friend. I have not been disappointed. The sound is crisp and clean, and when watching DVDs the rumble from special effects is great - I did not think a passive subwoofer and my modest receiver could do this. Perhaps this can't rattle the walls like a hundred watt subwoofer but the clarity and balance is simply great.

The setup instructions are very good, and the single big cable with all the wires for the receiver made hookup in the entertainment unit much easier. Only drawback is that the subwoofer must be relatively close to the receiver (~8 feet tops). It's a small price to pay.

Ok, not great
Other reviewers are correct - the auto shutoff pop is *really*
annoying. I actually returned mine for service to see about getting it fixed. I got a different speaker back, with a longer
auto shutoff time. Another problem with this subwoofer is that it is for movies, not tight accurate bass as a substitute for good speakers. I guess for that you should move up to the Newton series.

Sounds great, but auto amp setting isn't ideal.
Great sub (when you consider the price, it's an AWESOME sub). Only complaint is the loud POP it makes in the AUTO setting when shutting down the amp. I just leave it in the ON position, but the power savings would be nice.

unbelievable
This sub offers unbelievable low-frequency extension and dynamic impact. For the price, I'd challenge you to find a better woofer.

Good for their size and price
These are just the speakers that I was looking for. I'm going to college next fall, and needed some speakers that could provide good quality sound for gaming and multimedia. These speakers provide the Dolby Digital 5.1 sound that I want for my DVDs, and are small enough to fit into my dorm room easily. The speakers are small: they aren't incredible powerful, and do have a little fuzz to them, but considering their price and size, they are impressive. If you are looking for a set of small speakers capable of providing good quality digital 5.1 sound at a low cost, then these are the speakers for you. Also, they use normal speaker cables unlike so many computer speakers today, so the individual speakers are easily replaceable.

A great value!

First impression: Great Value!

After blowing up my set of Altec, I decided to spend a little extra cash to get some acceptable speakers (I got my old speakers from my roommate for $10).
Ordered those 5 days ago and got them about an hour ago! I just finished installing them (about 20 minutes).
I'm not disappointed! These speakers have some descent power even though the bass aren't that deep, but that's just me! I'm a bass addict(they're nice enough for a small size room). I'm just using the sound card from my motherboard and the speakers work just great! I tried cranking them, and apparently they're taking on power very well. They do distort slightly (at full power), but every speaker does. I was just amazed that they didn't distort more than that at full blast.

Some great thing about this package is that it comes with a really practical little knob that let you adjust the volume and fader. Also everything is included in the kit that is absolutely everything, even little stickers to mark the wires!!! I was considering getting the FPS2000 since it seemed to be better but after review I noticed that the FPS1800 has more power going to the satellites (a little less for the sub, but it's easier to add a sub than a set of new speakers!). Well it's was also cheaper and since I don't have a digital output on my soundcard, it was just pointless for me to get the FPS2000! Finally, if you're looking for a set of speakers that will replace a powerful stereo, you should pass on these. They're not made to crank in a dorm room and make you're neighbor call the cops! For that I got an extra stereo. But these speakers will be just fine for a small room, where you want to have your computer, but not your parties!!!!
Well, maybe you can try!!! :)

Speakers
These speakers are great! You can here every single sound. They are perfect for listening to music. You can make the sound come out just the way you want it to.

Good little set of speakers
Creative's SBS 350 2.1 speakers are sufficient. They're easy to set up and use, but lack frills that could make them more attractive.

Two little speakers and a subwoofer are included. The speakers produce a relatively rich sound, with a low noise floor. There's no hum or hiss when they should be silent. The sub is basic - fairly rich, but nothing to write home about.

My last set of Creative speakers was their 4.1 set by Cambridge Sound. That set had a power block with a cord, which I half expected to see here as well, but this time they went with a standard 'wall wart' transformer. It gets the job done, but I find it less convenient.

The speakers connect to the sub with a standard 8mm jack. Each speaker connects right at the jack with its own wire, rather than attaching to each other, so this may limit how far away you can put the sub. The volume knob is attached directly to the sub. The audio wire that connects to your computer is also attached to the volume knob. In the Cambridge Sound that I had, there was only one wire coming out of the control knob - having two makes it a bit harder to place.

The cords are relatively long, but could use another foot or so to really be convenient. Due to the layout of my computer room, I have my tower on one side of the desk and the subwoofer on the other side of the desk - the cords are long enough (barely) to allow me to put the volume knob next to my monitor.

The volume control has an on/off switch as well as a wheel to control the volume. This is nice in that it lets you shut off the speakers without losing your volume setting. Two sticky pads are provided to allow you to stick the volume control to the desk, monitor, or other surface.

All said, they get the job done. They sound good, and at the end of the day, all the ease of setup in the world wouldn't matter if they sounded bad. These speakers have yet to disappoint me.

Creative Labs Speakers
Hello,
Let me say that this is one of the best purchases I have made in my life. When i got to the computer store to purchase the system in-store, i did not know that there would be so few left. I had to look in a corner in the far upper shelf needing a cart to get to to actually find a remaining system.
After I got the system, I was pleased that it was so nicely packaged and well protected in its case. I was not expecting the subwoofer to be so large.
When i opened the package and actually used the system, I found the sound was truly fascinating and incredible. In the next door, my friends cup of water shook similar to that of Jurassic park with the intermittent beats of some good bass.
This is truly heaven, thank you oh lord, and praise the heavens for this amazing piece of equipment.
I have a complaint - the subwoofers may just rock TOO much as my feet experienced slight agitation!

Great for $26 BUCKS
I got the Creative lab SBS 350 2.1 for my Toshiba 2600 portable dvd player hooked them up, and a nice rich balanced sound came out those tiny speakers! I got more then what I paid for....

These speakers are great for portable dvd player....

PS. SBS 350 kicks a_s, and the bass was strong enough to be felt!

Disappointed in music quality..
At the price, you can't expect a TON, but I was still pretty disappointed in this system, compared to its competitors. As far as music went, the sound came across as very flat and 'empty'. Its very reliant on the subwoofer to make alot of noise, but its not good noise. No rich, vibrant tones could be had, even after playing around with EQ settings. It definitely makes noise though - this would be best applied for the budget gamer or regular user.. not particularly adapted for someone who uses their PC as a jukebox, however. The subwoofer is very strong for its size.

Great Sound and Great Price
I was a little worried that I was throwing my money away on a set of speakers that I could not test before actually buying them. Since my laptop's cheesy speakers don't provide good sound quality, I figured that anything would be better. I looked at other brands and models, but since my budget limits what I can spend, I finally decided on making the purchase. All I can say is that I chose wisely. I definitely would not say that these are the best speakers on the market, but for those of us who are strapped for cash and are looking for something that provides excellent sound... I would have to say that you can't go wrong with these speakers.

Fabulous!!!!!!! I feel like I own $200 speakers
These speakers are incredible. The satellite speakers look like Bose speakers and I feel like I own Bose speakers. The sound is fabulous; I feel like I'm in the movie theatre every time I watch a movie. I did own the last model of Creative 2.1 speakers ($50), but they got stolen. They were fabulous and I wanted them, but they were no longer being sold on bestbuy.com. I went to amazon and that model didn't ship with free shipping, so I went with these and these sound even better. Great speakers!!!!!!!
