i bought these speakers new from a computer show ..., ... the subwoofer is pretty ... good too, not the best but very nice, definitely ranks with the 100 dollar subwoofers. the satellites are really good too. here are my goods and bads-

good- [inexpensive]
sounds good
portable
easy to hook up

bad- when you turn the sattelites up too loud you get popping noises in the bg, and i kinda wanted LOUD speakers.... they go loud but... the speakers cant handle the intensity (oh well, no big deal)

conclusion- good deal, definitely a good choice upgrading from plastic speakers that come with your comp. not party speakers but still nice- i reccomend this to neone who likes good cheap things

This is a nice setup for a great price. The satellite speakers have a small footprint, but put out good sound for playing CDs or MP3s on your PC.

Nice bass from the subwoofer too. The sound is comparable to a stereo system you'd pay a couple hundred bucks for. Unit is small and portable, so you could also hook up this system up to a portable CD player and take it out on the deck, etc.

If you're trying to listen to music on the cheap, non-powered speakers that came with your PC, don't even hesitate. The difference is night and day.

Overall good TV. Guide Plus is a neat feature for regular cable, but not with satellite. Also, PIP feature basically useless with satellite. One of the video inputs hasn't worked correctly since I got it. One other little problem: When viewing tapes on the VCR, there's always a little fuzz at the top of the picture. Originally I thought it was the VCR, but I have hooked up several different VCRs and they all do the same thing, whereas when the same VCRs are hooked up to another TV, that problem doesn't happen. Has something to do with the coaxial hook-up. As far as the picture goes, it's great. Super TV for the price.

THIS TELEVISION IS AWESOME. THE SOUND IS WONDERFUL. WE PICKED IT FOR THE FRONT SPEAKERS BECAUSE OF BEING IN AN ENTERTAINMENT CENTER. OUR LAST T.V. HAD SIDE SPEAKERS AND THE SOUND WAS HORRIBLE. THE PICTURE QUALITY IS ALSO WONDERFUL. IT PLAYS OUR DVD'S BEAUTIFULLY. IT ALSO HAS TOO MANY FEATURES TO MENTION HERE. I AM EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH MY CHOICE AND WOULD BUY ANOTHER ONE ANYTIME.EVEN THOUGH IT TOOK A WHILE TO RECEIVE IT I WILL SHOP AT AMAZON AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Love them. They have a great patent-pending way to mount these to the wall so just about any position is possible. If you don't like the position, you can change it while still mounted. Not much bass, but no surprise considering these are subwooferless outdoor speakers.

The pricing is great not to speak about you have a choice to choose from black or white speakers and the black ones really caught my eyes it blends in perfect the surround sound system that i have recently purchased. You have the woofer that can give off a fantactic concert sound or stero sound that would set any living area or fun room up with great excitement.It has clear sound,no static, or humming just pure clear sound.

I got this for two reasons, and it works great for both of them. For one, I wanted to listen to Webcast ballgames, so I route them through a Kima wireless unit (with an adapter plug) to the TDK unit. Volume could be better, but it's a quick and dirty way to listen in my backyard wirelessly.
The other reason was to use with a portable CD player (which has only headphone output) while traveling. Works great to play our child's favorite music before bedtime in a hotel!
You don't want this for sterling sound by any means (the main reason for 4 stars vs. 5), but it's great for those situations where you want decent sound in a very compact package about the same size as a CD holder that you need to take anyway.

This is the most exciting item I've purchased in years! The sound quality is loud and clear. It plugs into anything that you can plug headphones into. Great to plug into your portable CD player for instant music in hotel rooms or anywhere that you've been & thought, "Wish I had some tunes!". It's also awesome to plug into a camcorder and you can hear the sound instead of just being able to check out the video you've taken. What a GREAT price for such an incredible product!

I have a Technics reciever and a 5-disc changer, and there wonderful. The speakers were just as good. Technics is a wonderful brand of audio equipment. If your in the market for a new audio theatre, cd player, ect. Technics is a great place to look.

Consumer Reports was right to rank these as a superb value. I bought them last year and have been very pleased with them. I thought my old speakers were good until I heard these ones. Sound is very realistic, especially drum beats (for some reason).

I bought these to use for surrounds. I have definitive Technology BP10's for mains and love the bi-polar sound. Well after trying these out I have decided to use them for mains. They don't match the sound of the BP10's but come close enough.
The sound is great and I am pleased. May buy 2 more for rears. You can't go wrong on these for $100

I was looking for a replacement for my current surrounds that would be small yet offer decent range and a dispersed field. Remembered the Wharfedale name from the 80's, figured for the price and with Amazon's return policy these were worth a look. I have been pleasantly surprised. First impression when you open the box is that these are solid, very well constructed and nicely finished. Sound is fairly accurate. Mids and highs very good for this price range, lows were an improvement over the Bose I had been using. The speaker is able to provide the effects without calling attention to its position, something the previous unit could not do. I plan to buy some more to use as background speakers throughout the house.

If your looking for some bass add to your factory rinky dink computer system, go with this sub. The sub sounds really good, crisp, and just enough bass. Also the additional sound speaker is pretty clear also. It blends in really well with my speakers i Already have. Good Sub, and especially for the price i got it for....

Again Yamaha creates the greatest subwoofer!!!
