For the price these speaker stands work great. Although they don't seem ver stable, they seem to be holding up pretty well so far (of course, I don't have a dog or any kids). You will need to purchase some double stick tape or velco in order to mount your speakers to the top of these stands. The stands appearantly didn't come with any. I improvised by using electrical tape and it's been holding fine. Take my word for it, spending an extra $50 for speaker stands will really improves the sounds of your Home Theater System.

Of course there are other stands out there that look better, but they all do the same thing. I price isn't an issue for you, then by all means go out and spend your hard earned dough. I wouldn't recommend any stands lower than 34", as it's perfect for ear level when sitting down to watch a movie.

I couldn't afford the other stands on the page after spending so much on the system itself so i purchased these and absolutely love them. They were affordable and are very complimentary to the system and its surroundings.

This is a perfect monitor for beginner computer users. It has everything you need for starters. The convenient speakers are there and the screens are adequate. If you want the best of the best monitors, you better have at $600 to spend it on. However this price is perfect. Overall, I'll give this monitor 3.5/5 stars. It's great for beginners, but for enthusiast, better go look at other monitors.

I found this monitor to be top of the line. It's very user friendly. The speakers (JBL) that came will it are outstanding.

These speakers are excellent value for money and a vast improvement on the standard tin boxes found for under 20 bucks. With maximum volume loud enough to wake the neighbours, and a bass level sufficient to give depth to any mp3, why waste your money on more expensive versions - after all, these ain't for your top of the range stereo hifi!

These speakers are plug and play compatible w/ just about any OS, and soundblaster compatible soundcard, have a headphones port, and in general for the price, are pretty sleek and high-quality. My one issue with them would be that the filters built on top of the speakers aren't extremely effective for filtering out static, but it's a small price ot pay for the cheapness and overall effectiveness and quality of the speakers.

I really don't have anything bad to say about it.. The 120 watt powered 10" sub sure does a good job. Everyone hates me because they can hear it from a ways away. The treble is nice and crisp as well... nice starting system.

Just put this set in my rec-room and watched "Dune" on Sci-Fi channel. Loved it. Take time to adjust the subwoofer crossover frequency so that the bass works with your room's accoustics (or the sound might be muddy). I would give it a five star (for price perfomance) if the darn satelites didn't stick out from the wall so far. The fronts are OK since they are with the rest of the equipment, but for the rear they don't mount on walls very well.

I was researching these speakers (and comparable ones) for a while due to the price. I was about ready to buy them when, the day I was planning to, the price dropped [...] I went to [...] to pick them up, brought them home, and started plugging away. I wasn't expecting much but they sound very good and are a steal [...]. The quality of the sound is excellent, they are not Bose, but what do you expect.

One issue is the size of the inputs for the speaker wire. They do include wire for all speakers and the sub woofer (which was a nice surprise), but I doubt you can fit heavy gauged wires into them (like Monster Cables). I assume the quality of the sound can be even better than with the crap wires that are included. They have a lot of power for such small speakers, and the ability for you to rotate the 'face' can come in handy. Overall super steal!

These are really nice speakers, with the money you save from buying Bose or Klipsh you can buy a nice center and subwoofer and have a system that will crush other mini systems. Make sure crossover settings from reciever are set to small if you are not using the subwoofer crossover. The subwoofer has very suprising output for its size, but I like much deeper bass- with my left over money I bought a huge Dahlquist sub and Wharfedale center. The manual does not state how to remove the back panels so I will post that- they turn clockwise to unlock, counterclockwise to lock. I like that the brackets are built into the speaker housing and used 3M VHB sticky tape to mount them on my walls. I am quite happy with these speakers- even better with a real sub and large center, then you can use the fifth speaker for ES rear center.

Whether you're looking for killer sound for video games or for music this system provides both. It puts out ear bursting power. I never realised just how bad my other speakers were til I used these bad boys. Worth the price.

These speakers are the best I have heard, and not avaliable in many stores.

Very convenient for use the Midlan 75515 series FRS units, and the earbud's VOX/PTT switch makes them useful on other models that use the 2-prong jack. Good clarity on the earpiece but the microphone could be a bit better. The unit is also a bit on the clunky side, but the the PTT button on the cable necessitates it being a bit bigger.

I received 2 of these ear bud speaker microphones as a gift from a friend about three weeks ago. I use them with my Midland FRS 75-515 about twice a week at work while one radio is inside and the other is outside. We are about 1.5 miles apart and this ear bud works great when using the VOX and when not using the VOX. I highly recommend getting these for your Midland FRS radios. They really work great when using the the VOX feature

I used this wire to hookup my car audio. I was forced to run the tweeter/woofer wires to each door OUTSIDE the rubber boot.

After more then a year the wire still looks/sounds great and shows no signs of the abuse its had to endure.

UPDATE: its 2002 and the wires are still running strong

Bought these to work with a CSi30 Center channel, two R15 surrounds and a PSW202 Subwoofer (it came free with a purchase of $X from a local electronics store, i bought an Surround Sound Amp and a DVD player). When running DTS or Dobly Digital they match seamlessly. When listening to stereo music with the subwoofer off, they sound good, low bass is a bit lacking, but nothing to lament over. My R30's get about 90% home theater usage. I would recommend them in conjunction with other Polk Audio speakers.

These two towers are quite the showmen for small floorstanding speakers. The tweeters are 1" silk, and they sound nice!. The tweeters open up a little more than the usual sweet spot sound effect you'd get from others.

The bass driver is fair sized, pretty tight firing, and not too clumsy. Front oversized porting for the driver helps ease the stress of any large 'boofs' of bass on these. I found a number of larger Polk 'R' series tower speakers to sound too beefy, and not very clean sounding when it came to detail. These smaller ones mop the floor with them when it comes to clean bass and detail, and still give plenty of power to boot!

If you really want a fantastic speaker that's equally priced, but constructed better with superior sound (honestly), look into Paradigm, or PSB! Still, thumbs up for Polk. These are quite the little towers. Not the gold medal, but definitely a bronze medal contender!
