    Looking for replacements
I agree with Phillip Hamilton's review. Maybe I'm more sensitive to noise so I can only rate these 1 star. I live in a suburb but I've never overheard anything from baby monitors or cordless phones. The noise really gets bad when someone walks between the transmitter and speaker. I've got one in another room 20ft from transmitter and one in another room 60ft away. Neither is acceptible for very long. The sound is quite good when they're not picking up interference but listening to noise 10% of the time is not acceptable.

    Really Quite Good
I have owned these speakers for a about a year. I bought them at a sidewalk sale in my neighborhood in Brooklyn. I use them to broadcast the audio from various satellite channels to where I sit at my computer. The distance is no more than 30 feet so I cannot say how they would function over much longer distances.

As opposed to some of the reviewers, I have had no difficulty adjusting the frequency. I have very occasional static interference but for the most part this is a non issue. In essence, I use them in an urban environment on one floor of a brownstone here in Brooklyn so I cannot say how they might operate in your neighborhhood. I have them set for mono as this this tends to minimize whatever small amount of interference there may have been. This has a slight effect on frequency response but it is not major.

Please note that the fidelity is quite good but it is NOT audiophile quality so it is probably good to take that into account. All in all, I very good product.

    Wireless Speakers
I am very pleased with these speakers. As a matter of fact I just ordered a second pair for the school. We use the cafeteria to show videos to two or three classes at a time. I use an LCD projector to enlarge the picture and I place these speakers in the back of the cafeteria so the students in the back can hear clearly.

    Chuckling at the positive reviews!
Luckily for Bose there are enough naive consumers out there buying their products to supply the company with profits galore. Oh, how the purveyors of the Yugo wished they had employed the same ad agency as Bose.

The humorous part is how the pro-Bose lobby of 'suckers' stuck with a poorly designed product call others 'bourgeois'. Apparently electrical engineering concepts are 'bourgeois'. You, there, pointing out the Yugo's poor engine construction- you're 'bourgeois'. Hey you over there, claiming the earth is round- you're 'bourgeois'.

Then there are the other sad twits who claim that anyone try to sell you a product other than Bose is attempt to get several times more dollars out of your pocket. They betray their own ignorance of the marketplace filled with speakers similarly priced to Bose with much higher quality build and performance.

Save yourself the grief and spend the same amount of money on Polk, Klipsch, Infinity, Wharfedale or JBL. Or just throw your money away like a sucker.

I'm sick of the Bose Bashing...
I am so tired of reading so-called audiophiles bashing on BOSE for being a successful audio line. I personally own BOSE, JBL, Harmon Kardon, and other brands of audio products and think that saying a whole product line is "not taken seriously" by a bunch of audio elitest snobs is both the antithesis of the hyped marketing being lamented in the first place and also an indicator that the reviewer is trading one set of hype (BOSE marketing) for another (so-called audiophile popular opinion). Let me give you a clue -- I like the way BOSE sounds and so do many other people. These particular speakers are great, and at around $150, these beat the socks off other outdoor speakers in its price range. If you don't like them, it's ok. Just lay off the Bourgeois audiophile rhetoric, ok?

    Don't listen to Bose products...
...if you have thousands of dollars invested in so-called "high-end audiophile" products - because you will realize just how much money you've wasted. I have ten-year-old in-door versions of these speakers and have yet to find any competitors in the same price range that can match their sound. I also have 20-year-old 901s and have never found a pair of speakers - at any price (and that includes systems costing ten times as much) - that can compare to them for accurate and thunderous reproduction of acoustic vocal and instrumental music - from classical to jazz to broadway. (If you listen to heavy rock at unhealthy sound levels, I'd suggest a more traditional speaker design.) The only people who don't like Bose are the ones trying to sell you systems that cost 2-10 times more and sound worse.

Buy Bose and see for yourself. You can always return them if you don't like them.

    Don't buy for music reproduction.
This system is at best adequate for Home Theatre in a smaller room. The center speaker, the identical match to the front and rear satellites is devoid of ability to reproduce understandable dialogue. For music, this system is totally lacking in any mid range. A big hole is left in the sound stage mid ranges between an OK tweeter and very boomy bottom end. Do not be fooled by its good looks and solid construction, for even the best amplification will not hide its shortcomings.

    BANG FOR THE BUCK
YOU CAN SPEND MORE MONEY ON A SATELLITE SYSYEM,BUT THE NEW 135S ARE THE BEST IN CLASS. LISTENED TO MUCH HIGHER PRICED SYSTEMS AND WALKED AWAY WITH THESE PUPS WITH MONEY IN MY POCKET. GREAT POWERED SUB AND EXELLENT RANGE ON SPEAKERS!

    Great stuff
These speakers are great. They dont make a dent in your wallet, but the sound is awesome. I love these speakers. Hooked to a Sony STRDE845 and DVPS360 and SLVN50. Earth-shattering. I loved "The Matrix" and "Top Gun" and "Herbert Von Karajan - Four Seasons" was amazing. The sound made me cry, it was so good. Get these speakers. They Rock!!

    ¿¿DON'T BUY KLH¿¿
I bought this speaker about 3 months ago being a down south rap lister! Thinking it's a 15" with a 200 watt amp sounds good! Nice Price and looked nice! But not knowing KLH quailty i went ahead and bought it! ¤¤BIG MISTAKE¤¤ It didn't sound all that great for a 15" and was way to muddy in sound! After not liking this Speaker and thinking of taking it back it FRIED like chicken! DO NOT BUY THIS SPEAKER

    In defense of subs everywhere
I know this is supposed to be a review but if any of the other reviewers read this, this is for you:
Your subwoofer was only doing what it was built to do when it gave out these booming, often muddy, low tones. There is nothing wrong with your sub, what you need is an equalizer if you don't like that sound quality. You need good speakers for the higher frequency to give you the nice clear tones to complete a good overall sound, and tone down the levels on the subwoofer to eliminate that muddy sound, but keeping the bass nice and solid.
My suggestion then would be an audio reciever with an equalizer.

    Very good product
I have had the 15 inch 200watt sub for a while about 6months now
very impressed with it. I am using it with onkyo products and it seems to give good bass response during movies going down as low as 22hertz. The amp on back reading 335watts if that helps you. Box looks good no complaints thier sure of that. The only thing that you might not like is the neighbors complaining. Well hope this helped you out i think it is a great deal if you are looking for some serious bass.

    very slow
Overall the system is nice: it sounds fine for a low end system and the picture quality is fine. But I hate using it as a CD player. It takes forever to switch between disks, about 30 seconds. Loading or ejecting a disk take even longer. There is no way to tell what disks are loaded in the machine, and you cannot change one disk while it is playing another. These seem like minor things, but when you walk in to the room and turn on the stereo to listen to some music they add up to a 5 minute delay before you are actually listening to anything. Bleh. If I had it to do over I would get a system like my older one that just has a big tray instead of the fancy slot loader. I guess the people at Sony put looks ahead of function on this one.

    Fantastic HTIB
This system is a fantastic HTIB (Home Theater In Box). The DVD player provides a very high quality picture (especially if you take advantage of the component outputs). It may take a while to change CD's when listening to music, but if you just burn an MP3 cd then you can listen to aboyut 250 songs on one CD anyway. The head unit is also sleek and attractive.

The surround sound is fantastic with this system. With each channel at 100w and an ACTIVE (this is important) 150w subwoofer I don't see how anyone could complain about the sound.

A third point about this system is its asthetics. It looks beautiful in any living room and the floor standing speakers look REALLY nice. Sure I suppose you're paying a bit for the Sony name and the looks, but if you can have those 2 things with great sound and functionality then why not spend a little more and never have any regrets. I know I won't.

    I great complete AV system!
The Sony DAV-FC9 is a great system. I was looking for something easy for my family to use and this is it. DVD's, CD's , MP3's and your Pictures (for a CD or DVD)! Read the manual there are some limits, with pictures within a folder the max is 250. Yet the system shines as a 5.1 system and a SACD player.

The 5.1 system and the integrated Dolby, DTS and Cinema/Hall/Game Effects are great edition. You feel like you are in a theater!

Lastly SACD, Super Audio is the new digital format (DVD-A) work as well in the player, I prefer SACD yet this special CD's are recorded not in 2 channels but in true 5.1! I just started my collection and SACD are sonically superior to CD's and some are in surround sound.

This player is a true universal player and the system is a GREAT buy!!!

Great Sub when it is workin but ...
For the money, this is a really good sub and easily worthy of 4-5 stars. I was completely satisfied with it for 14 months until it self-destructed and therefore must rate it so lowly. I suggest anyone interested in buying this sub read the comments posted in audioreview.com to see the problems this sub will give you. Many people have reported the same problem. The cost to fix is approx $150 and JBL is no help.

    What A Great Sub!!!!
This sub not only did it fill my need for extra bass, it killed it!This sub delivers extremely high quality bass for anything (music, DVDs etc...)I give it a full 4 stars. And I plan to get another

Love the rumble - but watch for trouble!
Finally, the last speaker of my 5.1 setup! So I pop in the "Blade" DVD -- the added bass from this subwoofer sounded wonderful, and definitely brought a smile to my face. HOWEVER, about 30 minutes in the movie, it died! Kaput. So, off to the repair shop I go (JBL's warranty covered it completely), to discover that there was a bad diode. It was replaced, and once again I am smiling. It sounds great with bass heavy CD's as well, though the front firing speaker is a bit more directional than I would like. Overall (and after the repair), good speaker!

    Just too small
I found these speakers just to small for my use. I have a pair of KLH's 98b's 2 way and I like them very much. The Twistables are just to small and can't put out enough sound to keep up with my other KLH's. I used the twistables as replacements for a pair of 6" two way AR's and the twistables just can't create the same sound filed that's needed in my surround setup. They can be driven very hard as the main pair. I will order another pair...

    ummmmmmmmm
if you think you have a really bassy system.......i recommend you get these because they will really make your system sound better..........sorry but these speakers have absolutly NO BASS!!!!!!!!!!! but i think i have solved the problem.........no air intakes!!! just drill a hole through the sides and they should sound a little bit bassier. but don't do it if u think you will mess it up.......

    nice
i bought these speakers in a package (hta-4906) which came with 5 of these speakers and a 50 watt subwoofer.
The moment i hooked them up, i was amazed at the quality of the sound from such a small set of speakers. Of course these are no bose, but for the price they are great. I paid 90 bucks for the set, and im impressed. They have great highs and mids, but are missing the bass, but that was why it came with a sub. The subwoofer really helps bring out the bass, and i think is a nessisity.

For the price, you can't go wrong.

    garbage
there's absolutely no power to it at all. even worse, i thought i was getting 150 watts, but the manufacturer's manual says 80. do not buy this product.

    Not bad
While this is not a real powerful subwoofer, it does nicely complement the Wharfedale bookshelf speakers (I have the "aniversity diamond 7" models. It doesn't make any disagreeable sounds, as some more powerful subs sometimes do.

Very good subwoofer for medium size system
I have been familar with wharfedale since the early 80's and wanted to add a subwoofer to my system, so I was glad when this product was available. It is a very good subwoofer for small to medium size rooms and gives off good base. For the price I would recommed it.

      Just plain bad sound
I bought these speakers to replace the very poor speakers that came with my system. I didn't want to spend too much for a new set, so I thought I would give the Cyber Acoustics a try.

Well, I've learned my lesson, because these speakers sound even worse then my old pair. The base is overpowering and has an artificial pitch. Don't think that just turning the base down will help either; all you hear then is the loud hum it makes.

The sound range says it is from 35hz - 20000hz, and that may be true. However, it sounds like the satellites are only 10000hz-20000hz and the subwoofer is 35hz-1000hz.

I think you should stay away from any Cyber Acoustic PC speakers. They sound terrible; it's as simple as that.

      Worthy for the price paid
I wouldn't say this speaker set is top of the line. But, it's not too bad either. I have a dell laptop (inspiron 8100) with inbuilt speakers. The audio from the laptop speakers was pretty horrible at high volumes and so i needed an external speaker (preferably with sub-woofer). I shopped around and found this deal on 'Pricegrabber'. I bought it inspite of bad reviews here, but i DON"T REGRET my buy. It delivers good audio quality for listening songs at my home and the sub-woofer performs well at different settings i have used so far.

I think it is worth the dollars i paid for...

      good speaker for the price
this set is elegant. although i don't think its not a "real" flat panel speaker set, it looks good.

the sound is clean, crisp, wide. loud enough for gaming and casual listening (mp3, cds...). base is good too. no earjack though.

for the price i paid ~20, its a good buy.
