Given these speakers large size and comparatively large price tag for weatherproof speakers, I expected a lot more out of them.

They have a very noticeable overemphasis in the 1Khz to 4Khz range. To hear this, imagine you're listening to a full orchestra, but hearing the sound of a sharp trumpet predominate. It's not as bad outdoors where there's no chance for harmonic resonance, but mostly unbearable in an inclosed space.

With the strength of the upper midrange, I found the speakers to be immanently locatable and provide a minimum of presence. I much prefer my sound to be as if the band or orchestra was floating around me, or at least nearby but invisible. These speakers stuffed the sound into their boxes.

These speakers have a really great sound for outdoor speakers. They are very well made and attractive to look at. They do not come with mounting brackets, however, which made it a little difficult to hang them. We just had an outdoor party this weekend and got many compliments on them.

These outdoor speakers sound absolutely fantastic. They are smooth, detailed, and have unusually good bass response for an outdoor speaker. I have listened to many other outdoor speakers and have heard none better. Highly recommended! But, potential purchasers should be aware that these speakers are quite large and require the purchase of optional mounting brackets for wall or under-eve mounting. I was disappointed that the grills on my N26AW's started rusting after a relatively short period of time, necessitating removing and spray painting them. Still, the sound is so good I feel they deserve a 5 star rating.

I ordered this speaker because it's cheap and review seems
OK. However, to my surprise, it need 6V ac adapter but
does not include it. Or it can use 4 C cell batteries (not
AA or AAA) but also does not include them. Without battery
or ad adapter, the sound is so small. But if include the
price of an ac adapter or the batteries, this speaker is
not cheap at all. Not recommend it.

I bought these speakers almost 10 years ago to use with a portable CD player and I am just now needing to replace them due to a frayed cord. I have bought other portable speakers (battery operated - usually AA) from $20.00 to $50.00 and could not match the sound put out by these cheap, clunky little speakers.

I just spent two hours searching the web for portable speakers with comparable output (5.4 watts), with no luck. I will be buying these speakers again and will use them for the next 10 years.

These are great computer speakers, even at twice the price. I bought a set reluctantly since the price was so low.... was I ever surprised... great stereo and I could not distort them even at high volume.... a great deal at twice the price.

I currently own a pair of Monster Z series speaker cable ... They are ok but definitely NOT worth that money... My mistake is your gain!!!!

Monster has earned the respect of installers like myself around the world. Believe me, I have asked hundreds of them which cables to use for High End Audio in Home Theatre applications and 90% recommend "Monster". If you take your time and "FOLLOW THEIR GUIDELINES TO SETTING UP YOUR SYSTEM" you will notice a difference. The trained eyes and ears are looking(at projection system or TV)and listening(to the Speakers) for DISTORTION or INTERFERRENCE, BUZZES or HUMMS, ROLLS or WAVES that cause signal loss. Monsters "Niche" is in the TWISTS & STRANDS, and jackets!! The more twists and strands - the less interference. Monster twists 75% more times than any other MFG on average. OK-----The CORRECT way to set up your system is to follow the MFG's "Initial Setup" instructions! I cannot stress this enough. I read the entire manual.It's not that long(15 minutes). It will save you days of headaches & complaints about it not sounding "just right"... I highly recommend "ALL" cables to be Monster and home runs(Separate Runs to Each Speaker)& minimalize unnecessary cable rolled up behind speaker or receiver. This causes "Signal Loss!!" AND "Use the MFG's provided Tech Support Line for all Installtion questions. I have been doing this for almost 15 years and I might call a MFG 2-3 times during an installation.]
It's free, they designed the system, they know more about it that anyone else - Why Not??? Last, but not least words of wisdom, do not run your speaker cables along side or under/over an "AC" line...That is Power... Power lines or extension cords should be ran separate from all other cables!! If you can't avoid it, cross them over at a 90 Degree Angle... This minimizes inteferrence. So far as the reviewers remark about Market Hype. To each his/her own. I might have a Porsche and you a Chevrolet, or vice versa. THE COST EFFECTIVE WAY TO PURCHASE MONSTER CABLE is to go online and buy in bulk spooled quantity(100,200,500ft). Draw and Measure your installation paths of all cable runs and add 50-100 extra feet for Mis-Calculations or mess ups, and go to Radioshack and get the appropriate end connectors for speakers and Receivers at both ends and you will SAVE A TON OF MONEY!!!

I've been listening to these cables for just 1wk, but really I only needed 1 day on my Martin Logan Aerius's to know it was well worth the money. Excellent highs, and tight base. Easily painted to match your decor.

I was very excited to use these with my laptop. Cargo magazine had reviewed them in their October November issue as Best in Class.<br /> <br /> When I first set them up I was pleased with clip-on feature since it saved valuable desk space. The sound was great compared to my built-in laptop speakers too.<br /> <br /> After a couple of days through, the speakers refused to stay clipped to the laptop screen. I tried cleaning display, the rubber pads on the clips and shimming the clips too but they just didn't have the strength to hold on.<br /> <br /> At this point I gave up and returned them to the store. Tood bad nobody else makes something this unique that works for more than a few days.<br />

The Philips Travel Speakers are a must if you are a traveler or need music at work. I use these speakers everyday. The sound quality is great. You can't beat the bass that pumps out of these tiny speakers. The only down fall that I can think of is the grips. I think the box states that you can clip the speakers on your laptop but they slip off constantly. Other than that they are worth purchasing.

The Phillips Travel Speakers are a must buy when purchasing any type of Apple iPod. Great Sound, easy to use, small, attractive, and fits in a backpack, unlike 'boom boxes' or home stereo systems. When I use to travel to my dad's, across town, I always use to have to take my Desktop Micro System Radio...I hated it! But one day, I had an intention of going to Target,and purchasing a smaller, but more expensive system, untill I saw the Phillps Travel Speakers, I was so happy after I purchased this item, A MUST HAVE!!

I've been looking at personal speakers for my Discman and have been looking at a few. This is labeled as a 10watt, 60 dollar speaker system. It however seems to be the exact same speakers that goodguys and many other places are selling for around 30 dollars with an output of 3 WATTS. They look identical, so I though maybe it was just same packaging but different quality. But the model numbers are identical... SRSA37...
I could easily be wrong, but it seems like these speakers are falsely labeled in order to sell at a higher price. I have yet to find a 10 watt - battery powered speaker set advertised ANYWHERE else - so I guess just buyer beware!! Do some research before purchasing

I just picked up these sleek speakers, and they're extremely well suited for the computer. Although the silver color may look out of wack for a white monitor and keyboard, they still put out a sound better than a lot of speakers made especially for computers. You can also buy an adapter separately to plug into the wall to keep from having to burn out batteries, but the battery option is a plus, especially if you're a) cramped for space or b) have way too much stuff plugged into the outlets!! I think they're an excellent buy!!

I just upgraded from the SRS-A21's to these beauties and WOW! There's a world of difference. It's got a rich full sound, even at very low levels, which is great since I hooked them up to a discman in my cubical at work. Not only that, they look cool. Do yourself a favor and get a pair of these!

I have had my wharfedale AT400 speakers for four days now and I'm still waiting for them to shine. Not that I'm disappointed with the speaker, but I did expect a little more bass than they were able to produce. I was going to go without a sub-woofer, but found that I had to purchase one anyway to help reach those deep bass sounds I expect from my surround sound system. I have an onkyo receiver and these speakers handle the power well and sound great at high volumes. The mid range is a little muddy which gives the speaker a somewhat smooth sound that would please the jazz lovers in the crowd. I would recommend these speakers for any one who wants decent sounding speakers for a good price.

I had this speaker for about a year and the bass management is great be it in Dolby digital, DTS or PCM Stereo. It's just a matter of adjustment from the Home Theater Receiver. I recommended this speaker to some and they were satisfied the way it performed especially when the dynamic range is already 40.
It is durable except the grill when it becomes loose it could be mistaken as sound of a distorted tweeter. Try it, it's worth the price.

I recently purchased the Atlantic 400 floorspeakers not expecting much based on the low price. These speakers are a great value. However I could only muster up four stars for two reasons. Reason one; I expected more bass from them than they can provide. Reason two; the removable grills aren't very well engineered, they are difficult to remove and are very flimsy,feels almost like they're going to break when trying to take them off. But all in all I challange you to find a better speaker for your money. I have owned several speakers over the last ten years, constantly looking for something better. I think these speakers will satisfy my taste for quality sound for years to come. I have added a JBL 250-watt 12inch powered sub to fulfill my need for bass. Don't misunderstand, these speakers provide tight accurate bass, but I like to "feel" my music a little bit more. Get yourself a pair, You'll be glad you did for the price! Remember we're talking about WARFEDALE speakers,GOOD STUFF!!

I recently bought these speakers for a finished attic with a nice tv. I intended to use these for gaming and they were of the best quality you could expect. The sound was quite impressive. I was depressed though, when I found out that I could of gotten these speakers much cheaper. I paid $190 and I thought they were a great deal but then I found that you can get these for only $130!!! If you need relief from the mediocre TV speakers you are currently using, get these.

Don't waste your time checking this out. This is truly a horrible buy, take my word. The sound is horrible. It sounds like someone put a metal box around it so you can't hear it well. Plus they charge too much for it. On my part, bring something better please.

Don't break or lose the remote controller.
It's the only way you can adjust the front, back and side speakers.
You can control the volume on the subwoofer and turn on/off the master switch on the back. But you can only do serious adjusting with the remote, which has very small buttons. Other than that it's a great sounding system for this price range.

I just purchased this stand from Amezon.com. This is very poorly make speaker stand. The base is very weak and made by plastic-like material, very light. And it is very over-priced compared with other similar speaker stands on the market. Not recommended at all!

Light-weight, but durable enough. Love being able to put wires through the tube upto the top, saving the cluttered look you might have elsewise.

Some simple assembly required.

Sanus stands and other products are the best. Beautiful to look and solid. THe ability to add weight to stabilize th stand is a plus.
