I had been looking to expand my home theater system for quite a few months when I came across this system. I had been looking up specs online and going into stores to see how they performed. I have a medium sized room and this system does very well. I already had to large tower speakers and was going to put two of the surround satellites in a box, but instead also bought the JVC 8030VBK receiver which can create 7.1 channel sound with any format, so instead I used them all. The subwoofer produces deep rich sounding bass very cleanly at half volume, it doesn't really distort at higher volumes, but instead tends to take over the sound field of whatever you are listening to. The satellites creates crisp and even highs throughout the room and the center channel provides really clean dialogue. The speakers also come with wall mounts and a lengthy amount of medium gauge speaker wire, which doesn't need to be upgraded and provides really easy wall installation. Overall I am very pleased with the system. Others I compared it too were the JBL 236si with the slightly larger speakers and louder subwoofer, but I found that the smaller speakers actually produced a better sound. I also compared it to the Onkyo HTS760 which almost sounded as good, but whose satellites were almost four times larger, bulkier, and uglier. I also compared it with the Sony Dream system which looked great but leaves a lot to wish for in the sound catagory. For the size, sound, look and price, this system cannot be beat. I recommend it with no reservations.

Excellent sound quality from these speakers when compared with others. The sound comes out crystal clear and does not even show distortion at higher levels.

The speaker system gives great sound at a fair price. The subwoofer produces more bass than you could ever need. The size of the speakers allow you to place them almost anywhere you want (even mounted as the mounts are included). This system gives us great sound with our DVD's, our HDTV, and our CD's. We think we made a good chose.

Fantastic system at a low price considering what all you get for your money. Set-up is a snap with easy to use Connect Guide. Its able to pump out a lot of sound and with good component devices (DVD, CD Player, etc.), the sound will blow you away. The remote could be a little easier to use and the speaker wire that comes with it is a little skimpy, but overall you'll get the proverbial bang for your buck out of this system.

This is a great system at the price and supplies more than enough power for throwing some great house parties. Actually this system has a lot going for it besides price and power. Setup of the reciever was actually quite easy and I have never even attempted setting up anything like this before. All of the speakers have their own colored coating wires and tabs so you can't go wrong there. The set comes with a quick start poster and a seperate instruction manual for each individual Kenwood component.

However I did run into some trouble setting up all my other components...i.e. game platforms, DVD, and VCR...but Kenwood tech support walked me through the whole process and even sent me some tech hints to my e-mail address.

I guess the only bad thing about the system is the size of the remote. The darn thing is TINY and the buttons are really TINY so I am always pressing the wrong button but if you have small hands then it shouldn't be that much of a problem. Oh a couple of other things one should look for before purchasing. Make sure the reciever has an S-video connection because the VR-407 and the V7030D are the only two recievers that have the S-video jacks. And the last thing is that the length of the speaker wire for the sattelite speakers may be too short for optimal place settings. Other than these couple minor gripes this system is a great buy and produces excellent sound. My dad has had his Kenwood system for over 20 years hopefully I can be as lucky as well.

My Klh system just arrived yesterday, and i pluged up ang it goin in 30min. I had a feeling that these speakers were junk because of the price, but i was surprised to hear these speakers where crisp and clear when i connected them to my DVD player they sounded awsome. The passive sub gave a lot of bass and the whole system gave me the full effet. Sadly but true these speakers are bettter then my BOSE. They are great sounding speakers, and i highly recomend them. They sound great in a small room.

I just got this home system via ups today and hooked it up in 30 min. I put in a DVD movie and put on the surround sound and was almost blown off my seat. The sound was so crisp and was so clear. I highly recomend this system. The passive subwoofer made the sound sound awsome. When I saw the price for the system I thought that the system was garbage, but it is awsome. I highly recomend it! Great sound for the price, sadly but true it is better then my bose system.

I own a set of very powerful Cambridge Soundworks speakers, hooked up to my DVD player they sound awesome. However they are always in need of repairs, and I was expecting the overall price to be what I paid $1200 for the set. But now I've just about doubled that from repairs. While these speakers aren't as reliable they do sound better then alot of surround sound speakers and these have yet to need repairs, when they are acctually placed in a worse area. So if you need good speakers cheap, these are them.

Typically available for as little as $50 each (that is what I paid), I don't think it is possible to find a speaker that will touch the KLH M365T at anywhere near the cost. The sound/cost ratio is truly astounding. These loudspeakers are an excellent buy in all respects, and I recommended them with only a few reservations.

At first blush, you might find the M365T's sound a little thin. But provide source material with a significant amount of bass energy in the lower octaves, and prepare yourself to be impressed. Saint Saens' "Organ Symphony", for example, is quite impressive. An advertised low frequency range dwn to 35Hz sounds like wishful thinking for a $50 speaker sporting a 6.5 inch woofer. But in my listening room (a fairly large and difficult one), the 35Hz response figure is closer to fact than fantasy.

If you really want to impress people and want to shake down the windows, by all means, buy a subwoofer and have at it. But I wouldn't ... the M365T is well balanced, and the lack of tubbiness in the upper bass octaves make these speakers a joy for extended listening sessions. And when there really *is* a lot of low frequency energy, you'll certainly hear it and feel it.

Like the low frequency response, the the high frequency response is, at first, underwhelming. But provide source materal with significant upper harmonics, and close your eyes. What you'll hear is higher frequency material when you *should* hear it, and none when you shouldn't. Instruments sound lifelike ... no more, and no less.

The imaging is an even bigger surprise than the bass response. Soundstaging is steady and accurate, doubtlessly a product of the midrange and lower treble's smooth response and lack of coloration. Play your favorite vocal source material, close your eyes, and you will hear the broad frequency range of the subject coming from one place, and staying there.

The construction quality is quite good as well. The cabinets are thick, structurally sound, well damped, and well finished in a black veneer. Knock around on the cabinet, and you won't hear a lot of hollow resonances. Input is supplied via 5-way gold-plated binding posts.

On the downside, the M365T is not terribly efficient, nor does it handle window-shattering volumes well. The woofer and midrange driver surrounds appear to be made of urethane foam, so expect those to deteriorate within 20 years or so.

But enough quibbling.

If you've got $500 or so to spend on a pair of speakers, by all means, look elsewhere. But if you have only $200 to spend, you should definitely include these speakers in your listening plans. And finally, if all you have is $100, the parade of quality full range floorstanding speakers begins and ends right here. These speakers offer thoroughly enjoyable high fidelity sound, look good, and are made well ... all for as little as $50 each ... and you can't beat that.

I was totally impressed with the quality of these speakers! I'm no audiophile or any kind of expert, but I was stunned at how good they sounded and how excellent they looked, even for refurbs! I hooked these up as the front speakers in my surround system. In stereo mode, these things turned out as much range as my whole system! And, for any home entertainment buff, the bass on these things is enough to shake the ground and provide the perfect rumble!! Like I said, I'm no expert, but I definately have to endorse these speakers and recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great sound at a great price!!

These speakers rock!! i looked all around at various floor standing speakers ranging from 200-500 dollars each, and for KLH i was blown away by the sound produced from these speakers, to me they matched the sound of any higher end floor speaker... not to mention i got the pair for 79 bucks as an open box item, they are awesome!! compared to my old bose speakers these simply blow them awayy! they have great Bass too, i dont even need to use my 300 watt sub now... i use these as my front speakers in my surround system and they are awesome!

These prove that you don't need an inconvenient three-piece computer speaker system to really enjoy the low frequency range. Labtec achieved such great low-end response without sacrificing very much of the high-end, too. Thus the sound from these amazing speakers is rich and full. Their reproduction of classical music is always balanced and pleasing (although audiophiles might find the articulation to be slightly imprecise). These speakers are most impressive when you turn up the volume on somthing bass-heavy like trip-hop. If you live for clear shimmering highs, these may not be the speakers for you, but if you're looking for a two-piece system that can be felt through the floor, as well as being capable of surprising volume without noticable distortion, look no further.

I got my speakers and hooked them up right away. I thought that they would just get me by and offer average sound. I was very impressed with the sound quality. I am playing all sorts of music and no hissing or buzzing. I didn't think that i would get this quality for this price.

Speakers are just speaker, right? Think again, because Labtec has created a pair of speakers that will rock your socks off, and they are priced to fit any budget. They make the perfect addition to any multimedia system.

Size wise, they are a great fit, small enough not to take up a great deal of space, but large enough to blast out a powerful sound. The lack of any real bass control might by a small drawback.

The additional headphone jack was very nice, allowing great sound quality, and keeping the room quiet at the same time. Labtec packs an awful lot into a small package, and you get your money's worth.

This set of speakers is remarkable they are very small and extreamly powerfull. I rarly have to turn them up more than a quarter turn on the volume. the only problem I have ever had with them is the lack of a headphone jack and the lack of EMF protection on the Sub-Woofer. It will ruin your computer if the Sub-Woofer is to close to it. These cons are quickly forgoten.
I have had these speakers for Two years are the only times I've noticed these problems is when I bought them and when I moved.

also they are extreamly durable my family is very good at breaking things and only just recently have they started to show problems because my sister has spilt water on them for the 10th time.

These speakers and subwoofer make any song sound great. They provide clear crisp highs and great bass. If your looking for a 3 piece speaker set...this the one you should get. I am very satisfied with them!

These are some nice speakers. Nice bass and saves space. A must buy!

These are the most amazing cables. I just hooked this up to my Polk RT800I speakers, and my Kenwood VR-2080 receiver and the difference is amazing. The bass is more defined, the trebble is crystal clear. I also got the Z2 Bi-wire cable for my center channel and that made a huge difference also. The voices are alot more defined. Worth the money !

Cable that never let you down! Try it, only you know the different.

I've been using my Z2s for about 1 year now... boy, what a difference. I spent a few days "auditioning" these cables when I first purchased them and the difference was immediately apparent. Bass output is so much deeper and clearer! BIG difference with the low frequencies. Without these cables, my speakers sound muddy and undefined. I didn't notice this, until I used the Z2s. Also, they look great and add a professional touch to your system. If you're looking to add clearer lows and better definition to your system, these guys can even make cheap speakers sound good. I'm now getting ready to buy another set for my A/V system.

Just purchased these speakers. The sound is amazing for such small speakers. The only noticable defect is the hiss that comes from the amplifier. This is counterbalanced by its ability to create such loud distortion-free sound.

It is great how the speaker cord has it's own storage place. When the speakers fold up into a small rectangular box shape, they also protect the speaker cord as well.

Certainly a great buy for the money!

I needed a boom box for the car and work, but feared the battery consumption in the car would be too much. Thus, I decided to get the Panasonic SL-SV570 portable CD player and these speakers, which both use AA batteries. It's all working great, too! You use the volume control of the CD player to control the speaker volume, and it's loud enough for in the car. Since I'm a treble person, I don't miss the loud bass sound of a boom box. I also think a portable CD player will last longer than the CD player on a boom box, and plays CD-Rs better. And I can't imagine much going wrong with these speakers. I can just toss them in my carry-all with the CD player, and not have a lot of weight to lug around. Both the player and speakers are silver and blue, too--almost totally color coordinated!

This is an unbelievably good set of wireless speakers... excellent for a hotel room or any other travel situation that precludes a boombox. The size is smaller than a paperback book, and they weigh next-to-nothing.

I had purchased a similar item from Creative (the "TravelSound") that was TERRIBLE!, and they were twice the price of these Panasonics. (Perhaps I just got a defective unit, but the Creatives distorted the music horribly even at low volume.) The Panasonic RP-SPT70 sounds excellent, for both treble and bass, even at the CD player's highest volume setting... no distortion whatsoever. Obviously, there won't be any deep bass, but what you get is pure and satisfying.

Highly recommended!

This system is incredibly powerful, I bought this for my small bedroom entertainment system. I put in Pearl Harbor and the action sceen was way better than being in any theater. Sure there are probably better systems out there but this system is powerful and it is at a great price. There is absolutely no distortion or ststic in the radio or dvd. I would highly recomend this system for someone that is looking for a powerful system at a great price!!!

When researching this system i was a little leery before buying it. I was looking for a system that could give me great surround sound, while also giving me good stereo audio... Well, the systems sounds even better than i expected it to. The speakers are beefier than most boxed systems i've seen, and the "small" sub doesn't sound small... Keep in mind, the reciever that comes in this package has no video capabilities, but that is why i bought a good TV!! I don't need my receiver to control my video, just my audio. Now, the main reason i bought this system was the price, I got this entire package for a little over $500 dollars shipped!!(shop around), that is tough to beat for a 5 disc DVD/CD/MP3 player with a receiver and sweet surround speakers.. Comes with everythign i needed.. Optical audio cable, bunch of other weird cables, speaker wire.. yadda yadda.. One thing that did surprise me about this system. The bottom of the remote control slides down revealing at least 30 more buttons.. I think they should have shown that in the pictures, i might have bought this system sooner.. I am giving this package a 5 star rating because of the price/performance ratio.. I don't you could beat this system with a stick, perfect for a budget minded guy like myself..

First a disclaimer, I am not an audiophile. However, I had been comparing a number of home theater systems for weeks before i bought this one. I narrowed it down to two for the money i wanted to spend, and the other one was the Sony HT5100D, but I picked this one for a couple of reasons. They both have 5 speakers and a "sub"woofer, DTS/Dolby digital, 5 disc dvd changers etc, but the panasonic is cheaper, has an additional 50watts to the woofer, and plays mp3s. I do not demand perfection from my audio equipment, but i can tell what stinks. I am a college student, and i was mostly worried about this system being too weak to work as a stereo for a house party, but it is not. It will not blow anybody away, but it is certainly more than sufficient for the needs of most normal people.(of course replacing the left and right speakers with some relatively cheap bookshelf speakers doesn't hurt, and allows you to keep the two extra factory speakers in the closet in case another one gets damaged or something). I was also excited to learn that it plays CDR/W and MP3s (on Cd). This means that instead of making a few mix cds for a party, you can just put the MP3s straight onto a cd (which means that you can store around 200 songs on one cd), this allows you to make one huge cd, and put it on random. If you are looking at hometheaters but aren't worried about mp3s, i would atleast make sure the one you purchase plays home-made discs (CD-R/W's) because somewhere along the line you or someone will want to play one and you'll be out of luck. The improvement in quality of audio from vhs to dvd is actually greater than the improvement in picture resolution, and this system takes advantage of that. You're getting a nice dvd player, stereo, and subwoofer, for a pretty good price.

I only have the 5006 model i got at target on sale and the sound quality is great for the price of these spreakers and the sound fills a whole small room real good!!!!!!!!

Great product to buy for a portable audio device.

I bought these speakers to use with a discman in my car (the stereo was stolen) on a long trip. In an enclosed space these speakers are loud! I was really impressed with the volume & clarity. There isn't any distortion, unless you have the bass cranked up. They sound best when placed 3-4 inches from a hard surface. I'm planning on using them in my cube at work. They sound better than most PC speakers.

I researched these speakers and found out that they are just like the bose speakers that I have.If you buy these use small eletronics beacuse I used it on my stero and they did not sound good.It's best used with a laptop,dvd player,cd player,mini disk player,MP3 player as it says on the package.
