This is my first foray into mini-dv,and I picked a winner.I researched every minidv camcorder on the market,and settled on this one because most of the user reviews were positive,and because I have used Panasonic products in the past,with no problems.
The camcorder is very easy to use.The manual explains everything clearly.I shot some video of my puppies and had them going out to family and friends over the internet in a matter of minutes.
Another thing I liked...you can choose the color of the camcorder.Certainly not important technically,but asthetically,it's way cool!!
All in all..I am completely satisfied with this little camcorder and recommend it w/o reservation.
One more thing: This really isn't a still camera,so using it for that purpose won't be very satisfying..I think if it is used on the spur of the moment to capture an unforgettable image,then it works well enough.

This little camera is not for the "professional" videographer or photographer, but it's fantastic for the casual user. We use it to send digital photos, and short movie clips of our children to their grandparents on the east and west coasts. It's easy to use, and it's compact size makes it easy to take along. We upgraded the memory to 256MB for ~$80. That allows us about 40mins of video, or about 2000 photos. This is a great entry-level purchase to capture those rare moments with ease. I would highly recommend this for anyone who wants to be able to take a photo or short video of an event, then stick the camera in their pocket and join in!

This camcorder has a very good and high optical zoom and it has the picture stabilizer. If you are planning on getting a camcorder this is the one. I dont have much left to say but this camcorder is awesome!

After visiting my father and using his Palmcorder (Same model) I realized I HAD to have one! The ease of this camera is noticable from the first time you pick it up. I have been in the market for a digital camera and a camcorder and was thinking I was going to have to spend LOTSA money for 2 pieces of equiptment. Now, I DONT! This palmcorder is a video camera, web cam, and a digital camera all in one! The ease of the software is great too! The camera is a little on the pricey side, but well worth it when you see what types of pictures it takes! Also, its got a AWESOME zoom on it! The only thing I would say that is negative abut this camera, is where the record button is located.

I am a first time buyer at Amazon.com I have a limited income and wanted to give my son his Christmas wish this year. He wanted a camcorder and they were all sold out in the stores. I purchased the Quasar from Ananth and prayed that I would be pleased with my purchase. I was a little confused about the delivery process of my new camcorder; but Ananth really walked me through the process and the wait. I want to let anyone who does purchase any products from Ananth in the future that they can count on her to be honest and professional. Thanks to Ananth and my new camcorder my son had one of his greatest Christmas gifts ever.

This bag is very sturdy and padded. The description is pretty scanty, but I took a chance and bought it. Glad I did. The bag holds my JVC GR-DVL805U mini DV camcorder, the strap, battery, AC adaptor cord, 4 tapes, the remote, and all connector cables. It's kind of a tight squeeze with all those accesories, but the bag is compact, comfortable, and easy to carry, with the camcorder still being protected. The bag also comes with a lifetime guarantee against defect. The only thing that could be improved is that it's awkward to get the camcorder in or out of the bag while carrying it with the strap over the shoulder; the zipper is hard to reach and goes all the way around the top. That's the only thing that could be improved, and could be considered a safety feature, because the camcorder certainly won't come out unexpectedly. The bag is also very durable and nice looking. I recommend it.

This item is the one to get. It is roomy and very durable. It stands tought on the nature wear and tear that is in some cases unavoidable. Not to mention this will go with almost any camcorder plus you know for sure that you are getting the best i quality because it is made by SAMSONITE. I advice you to look no further than this product.

After purchasing my first camcorder, the next thing was to pick up a nice case to keep my investment safe. My initial reason for purchasing this bag, was because of the Samsonite name. However, once I received the bag my pleasure went beyond the name. Besides a numerous amount of pocket space to hold all your extra goodies, the main compartment has an adjustable Velcro divider that holds your camera snug while you're on the go. A feature that the description above fails to mention. Overall it's a great case for anyone looking to store their camcorder in a safe place.

I can't say much. I couldn't afford anything high tech so i got this and i loved what i got. It was compatible with editing software too.
