Should have come with the camera
I think it's a bit of a rip-off to make you buy this separate from the cameras. The case is attractive and well-made, but all it holds is the camera and maybe some extra batteries, although I suspect 4 extra AA's will be a tight fit in the one pocket in front, or in lieu of batteries, an extra compact flash card. My A70 came with 4 rechargeable AA's. They should really just put the case in with the camera and either include the charger too, or let people fend for themselves with buying some other manufacturer's battery recharger. Seems like a ploy to sell battery chargers to me. I could have bought a charger with batteries for the same price as this kit. I only bought this to get the case.

Great Pruduct Bundle
I bought this bundle for my A75 and it's a great product overall. It has all you need to carry and power you canon A-series digital camera. The batteries are great and you can shoot for couple of days with them without needing to be recharged. The charger is nice and very portable, though I wish it had a power cord instead of connecting directly to the outlet.
I didn't give five start because, as someone already has pointed it out, I think at least the batteries and charger should come with the camera. However, at this price it's a good value and a must for canon A-series digital camera owners.

A must have if you've purchased the Powershot "A" Series.
The litmus test of a good product (typically) is it's availability (not always, but in this case, for certain!). Well, as I attempted to find the A Series accessory kit, I became incredibly frustrated with the following messages: "Out of Stock," "Backordered," "Arriving Soon." Whether my theory of "everyone with an A Series wants one" or whether Canon just doesn't produce enough of these these kits is really irrelevant; if you own an A Series, this kit is a must.

First, the compact case is a streamlined and perfect fit; not a bulky case. And, every camera, particularly these expensive digitals, must have some kind of protection. Okay, preliminaries out of the way, the case is just the cherry. The real beef to this kit is the charger and NiMH rechargeable batteries.

Depending on your use of your camera (and disregarding its powersaving features), AA batteries do not have abundant life. My solution is to have an extra set of non-rechargable AAs with me at all times (which can be conveniently stored in the front pouch of the accompanying case) while using the rechargables. By using this scheme, I'll always be prepared when taking photos. After I get home, I pop the rechargables in the charger, which is very compact and can be plugged in nearly any convenient outlet, and use the non-rechargables. To recharge all four batteries is something less than 4 hours; not bad, all-in-all.

At the price, this is an accessory kit that all A Series owners should strongly consider.

Beats the heck out of Alkalines
After going through my first 4-pack of alkaline batteries in my digital camera in only 1 day, I immediately looked into rechargables.

I hadn't purchased any rechargables in a while, back when only NI-CADs were the only option. I was often a victim of the memory effect, which NI-MH completely eliminates.

My camera has both an LCD display and a viewfinder, and the batteries will usually last about 2 or 3 days of picture taking unless I use the LCD monitor, which will reduce the longevity to about a day and a half.

If you transfer your pictures directly from your camera instead of a card reader, your battery power will suffer a great deal.

Overall, I'm satisfied with these batteries, but with today's higher-drain cameras, I'm sure there are other batteries that will hold a stronger and longer charge.

Good value for the price
NiMH rechargeable batteries are a step above the standard NiCads that gave rechargeables their bad rep. NiMHs usually provide more stable and slightly higher voltage (though still below alkaline levels) for extended periods of time. They have no "memory" problem, so you don't have to worry about completely discharging them, and depending on the situation, they may perform either better or slightly worse than alkalines.

For instance, I always use NiMH batteries in my CD player. They last about 90% as long as alkalines and, of course, are reusable. A quick one-hour charge will get the same pair going again.

Where NiMHs really shine, though, is in momentary high-drain devices such as digital cameras and camera flashes. In a recent report, Consumer Reports had to rescale its battery ratings because NiMHs perform so well. In one digital camera that I use, alkalines will last for one flash-card of pictures; NiMHs last for over 3.

While the Energizer (and recently Rayovac) brands are quite inexpensive, they only last about 85% as long as the Radio Shack brand. Cost versus run life is the only consideration here, and these batteries are just great for CD or tape players.

Note: You will need a NiMH-specific charger to charge these batteries.

Overall recommendation: If you use even a moderate number of batteries frequently or listen to music on a portable player, NiMHs are a worthy investment.

Good batteries. Beware the different power rating.
These batteries are better than the old NiCd ones. Here I just want to talk about the different models of these batteries. The oldest model (that I have seen) is 1200 mAh, the newer one is 1600 mAh and the newest one is 1700 mAh. I believe that the older ones will work fine but I think maybe we should not use the different models together because they have different power rating (just like we should not use new and old batteries together). I purchase them from a local store and they have all 3 models on the shelf (same UPC). Later I have to exchange several of them because of the above concern. The two older models are almost identical (blue/gold) except for some small details. The new one is much different (green/silver).

Don't drop this one on your foot!
Mag Instrument S5D016 Black 5D Cell MagLite Flashlight. Over the years, I just needed and "HAD TO HAVE" that bigger flashlight! It's a guy thing. This is the one (and the 6D-Cell) light that lots of law enforcement carried. It was effective as a flashlight and as a tool if the use of force needed to be escalated in subduing a BG (Bad Guy) - Orders given with confidence and with commanding voice, physical force including night stick or Mag Light, side arm, shot gun).

There is a lot going on within the technology of flashlights recently. LED, Lithium batteries, focus bezels, etc. The Mag has fallen from grace a bit technologically, but is still a great flashlight for police / emt INCLUDING looking for and if need be using the light defensively as a weapon on criminals, cockroaches / terrorists or signalling for a chopper pick up. The Mag Instrument S5D016 Black 5D Cell MagLite Flashlight is very durable and they are proven reliable. But even the police and emt and military are switching over to more tecnologically advanced products and techniques to go along with the new equipment.. They have to. Their lives and the lives of others depend on the best equipment available. And for a long time that was Mag Light.

Don't get me wrong. I've depended on Mag lites of all sizes for years. But head to head , theSurefire brands have quickly surpassed Mag lite in every important aspect of flashlights - usable light power, smaller size and lighter weight.
The Mag Instrument S5D016 Black 5D Cell MagLite Flashlight is a good value and I have several in the house and the vehicles. But they're being replaced by Surefires as they wear out.

John Row

good, but large
Unless you are a police officer, or just an exceptionally violent person, you really don't need a flashlight this large. Go for the 3-cell one (it's actually much easier to swing in a ..., anyway). By the way... notice how they have an odd number of batteries in all these flashlights... you think maybe it's a secret arrangement with Duracell (snicker)???

A real man's flashlight
This is one great flashlight, fit for a king!

But it costs a lot ...
I bought a drill with 2 of those batteries. Now after 3 years
of use, the batteries have developed memory effect and have lost
all the juice. I have to buy 2 batteries that means I will be
spending around $35 total. Again after 3 years I will be in same
situation. So I have decided to buy electric drill and get over
with this charging. Also they are more powerful compared to those
drills. BTW there is always an extension cord!!!

Outlasts everything else!!
This battery outlasts everything else I've run into. Battery capacity is excellent. I've used all the other, so take it from me this one is the BEST!! I highly recommend!!

Old battery lasted 7 years
After 7 years of use, I finally had to replace my battery packs. Not bad for an item I have used almost weekly. I highly recommend these, but buy two so you always have battery power.

    Battery part of recall!!!
I just received this battery from amazon (4/20/04) and discovered that it is part of a Toshiba recall because the battery does not stay connected and data can be lost. I called Toshiba and they are sending a free replacement. They advised me not to use the battery. So I paid over $100 for a battery that I cannot use! I bought this battery from Amazon rather than eBay because I didn't want to receive a battery that is under this recall. If you received this battery and the serial number does not end in "A", you can call Toshiba at 1-800-949-7993 to get the battery replaced. This recall was made 7/03, so Amazon really dropped the ball. I'm very disappointed. (...)

They were thinking of you... and your money
The extra battery is a necessity. The main battery the unit comes with makes you nervous to use it because it is always discharging quickly. It's such a great unit, you might as well make another investment so you can actually use it in peace. The cradle was designed to be able to hold the extra battery, and the extra battery comes with an additional carry sleeve like the one that came with the original unit, only larger to accommodate the thicker unit. When you compare the main battery and extended battery, it's a huge difference. Got Power?

    lONG LASTING POWER
I am a member of a serch and rescue team in Iceland and I often take my E-755 with me when I fly. The cold here saps battery power and the stock battery wasn't cutting it. I love the new expanded battery and it still fits in my Covertec case!.

This battery pack won't work with my HP camera
I just tried to use this battery pack and it has a problem working with my older HP C200 camera.

A must have definatly worth the money
i have purchased 1 of these battery packs, because i was going on a vacation and didnt want to carry tons of aa batteries with around all day. when i recieved. my camera model was not listed on the back so i called the people at digicom, who are very nice and helpful they answered all my questions and even helped me when i was having some trouble shooting. i was able to take over 250 shots in a single day without recharging. if all you people are wondering whether or not to get it i say its a must have....

An awesome accessory you must have.
First of all, when I first saw the item, I wasn't sure if it would work with my Digital Cameras. When the item arrived, I was relieved to read on the back of the packaging that it worked for all three of my digital cameras, the Olympus D600L, D620L and the C2500L. So now I have to plan to buy more of them just to have on hand. In my hobby, I have to take my pictures quickly without delay. When I have to stop because the batteries are losing their power and have to switch them, I can lose a crucial shot or two. I detail crash scenes and how we correct the situations cars get into. This item is a must have if you're constantly using your digital to capture those inspiring moments.

BLS-4 - Performance Not Up to Par with Specifications!
The BLS-4 came with my Nokia phone and the battery break-in period was followed as directed in owner's manual. However, after about 12 months the battery started showing signs of failing to hold a full charge. The BLS-4 will not hold a full charge for more than two days with only minimum use. The battery must have a limit on recharging cycles. I own another Nokia phone and it too has the BLS-4 battery, bought at the same time as the one noted above. This battery is still holding a full charge. I also followed the same break-in period as directed with this battery, the only difference in the two batteries is that this battery has not been recharged as much as the first. Maybe the first BLS-4 was defective. The battery worked well when it was new.

    Long lasting but heavy
I got this battery for my Nokia 5165 after my NiMH battery started to fade. Oddly enough, the extended lithium battery is less expensive than the regular (and I assume, slimmer) lithium battery, so I bought the cheaper one with more power, which is helpful when you forget to charge your phone. The charge does last a lot longer, but my phone now weighs a ton. That's the only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars.

    GREAT Battery
Seems to last forever in 'always on' use. Great talk times. I
recharge about once every six to 8 weeks. Not sure how 'each'
individual battery is 'made' (as I see some here unhappy)... but
MINE is the best thing that happened to my N6160.

The possibilities are endless with these batteries!! For instance you can use batteries to run a device such as your very own personal massager for hours on end! What a way to relieve stress after a long hard day of work. You know it will last long because the pink bunny makes it so. Yay!

      Not as good...
With as many batteries as I use, I may be heading for record breaking status. And I have found that Duracell lasts longer in the C and D sizes. I do like Energizer best for AAA and AA.

      Buy these
Alkalines have a long shelf life. Nicads and NiMh don't. Rechargeable batteries do not give a standard voltage level (1.25 v or 1.50 v). Alkaline batteries are better than rechargeables.

      Only lasted a few months
This worked fine at first but after a few months, the charger could not hold the AAA batteries in place. The spring mechanisms failed for 3 out of the 4 positions that would hold the AAA batteries. Thus, I could no longer charge the AAA batteries. Then after a while, the charger just quit working all together.

      Convenience & Quality!
Having a teenager who eats up AA batteries constantly, the Kodak Rapid Charger solves this problem easily. Recharges batteries in 3 hours which is much quicker than overnight. Some charges can take up to 12 hours. This charger is made for digital cameras and elctronics that drain batteries quickly. You can rechage AA or AAA batteries. An added bounus is that this particular unit comes with 4 AA rechargeable batteries. A Great solution at a great price from a well-known name like Kodak. What more could you ask.

      Pretty happy with it
I must be a battery charger junkie. I bought my first NiCd battery charger when they first came out, and I still remember how big and awesome-looking it was. And it charged two AA NiCd batteries in, oh, 24 hours. Then the batteries would run down after about 5 hours in my Walkman. Those were the good old days.

Anyway, nowadays I must have more than half a dozen battery chargers. What I like about the Kodak Rapid Charger is it does a very reliable job of charging four NiMH batteries in a few hours. The exact charge time depends on (i) AA or AAA, (ii) how many batteries, (iii) how much charge is left in the batteries, (iv) the total capacity of the batteries (e.g., 1600 vs. 2400),(v) room temperature, and (vi) random factors that even the electrical engineers don't have a clue about. Suffice it to say that a fresh set of 4 AA batteries will charge in about 3 hours, give or take half an hour. Much better than the overnight chargers.

Also, compared to my Radio Shack stock rapid charger, the Kodak can charge any number of batteries, up to four, whereas the Radio Shack must do four. The Kodak also seems to trickle charge better, because on the same set of batteries, I seem to get longer life out of a charge down on the Kodak than on the Radio Shack. My other chargers are Ravoyac which I like the most, but the Kodak is also a good, and it cost less than a comparable Rayovac I was looking at.

Anyway, this is a solid battery charger for AA and AAA batteries.

Fine, while it worked, but then....
I've owned this tape player/radio for just over a year now, and for a while it was a welcome traveling companion, fitting neatly into my briefcase. While on trains, planes, etc., I could either tune in to local radio or listen to tapes of my choice.
Then after just about a year, and for no apparent reason, the radio suddenly began to act like it was one of those old fashioned coil jobs you made in Scouts. In other words, it couldn't pick up a signal even if you were ten feet from the transmitter.

Okay I told myself, call the Manufacturer to see what it might cost to get repaired (the warranty naturally having expired shortly before the radio did). And as feared, I was greeted with Voice Mail Hell... Press One if you are a Dealer, Press Two if you want parts, etc. One of the options was for Repair Estimates, and once there, I learned I must either "hold" for at least ten minutes (six calls), or "Due to Unusually Long Waiting Times, We are Unable to Take Your Call at this Moment. PLEASE call again at another time."
So I used their allegedly friendly, new fangled email system, and lo and behold, five days later I got a response from Operator 26 who told me I should call a certain phone number and all would be swell. Number called, wait either "too long, please call later" or longer than I care to wait (e.g. 16 minutes).
So who knows. Maybe Panasonic does really make good products and I got the only malfunctioning one in existence. But then again, who were all those other callers, also on 'hold' awaiting problem resolution?

Think I'll see if another manufacturer offers both a better product and better service.

      great player
This is a very ood player. it is planty loud. It has all the poop and gadgets you'll need. The only drawback is the headphones. They are pretty uncomfortable. But otherwise, i would definetly reccomend it.

Panasonic RQ-NX60V - Excellent Buy for the price!
I ordered the cassette on Thursday and recieved it Monday. A very well made piece of equipment, not flimsy at all. Sound quality is excellent. Stereo came with a black nylon carry bag, with draw string. Battery is concealed inside the cassette area to save room and allow the equipment to be compact. Sized so that it can comfortably fit in your pocket. (The one battery lasts for hours and hours.) Cassette does not skip during vigorous movement. Dropped stereo twice with no dents or repercussions.
