This battery has 1800mah while the Sony has 2100mah... go for the Sony!

These have worked well for more than a year of frequent use in my digital camera, and have not once quit before tripping the camera's low battery warning like Panasonic rechargeable batteries have done in the same camera. These still seem to have their initial energy capacity too, unlike the Panasonics that have noticeably diminished. I expect these will provide very long service. As with more complex electronic goods, a single specification like milliamp-hour rating isn't the whole story.

I used these to replace the batteries for my Archos Jukebox mp3 player. They last about 2.5 hours longer than the batteries it came with and recharge in my jukebox without any problems.

These batteries come CHARGED (some don't).

I bought this set for my new digital camera and am highly dissapointed. The batteries do not hold a charge as well as other brands do. While the charger may work fine for other things, do not expect your digital camera to run for more than 20 shots on these meek things. Overall, I am very dissapointed and do not recommend this product.

I've bought this charger with my first Kodak DC-280 camera two years ago. This is a very good charger. Solid, no any moving parts - nothing to brake, good indicator, international power support, do not overchage or undercharge battaries, absolutely silent. The best charger!

This works great with my Canon A40 digital camera. An added bonus is the fact that this will work on international voltage too - so I dont need an additional converter when I travel.

I was excited about this product when i first saw it because i needed another cradle and i wanted to take my palm on the road. I though the idea of using batteries to power the Palm Vx was great. I got the BattPac and started using it. At first it worked great. After two sets of batteries the batteries started falling out becuase the clips holding them in are made of very thin metal that bends beneath the weight of the battery. Then the clip on the battery cover cracked off. ...

I would hope that... the product would be of much higher quality.

I've seen friends carry around their palms, and I've considered obtaining one of these toys along with the battery charger. It seems more cost efficient to simply order one of these in preference to buying an endless supply of batteries.

This is going to make my life so much easier. I had been taking my recharger/cradle to and from the office every day to synch/charge at home, and this nifty accessory now solves that problem.

Furthermore, I do a lot of international travel and was worried about recharging/synching my Palm while on the road and also avoiding dangerous fluctuations in voltage that could fry the unit. Requiring only 2 AA batteries (available everywhere), I now never have to worry about running out of juice.

For those who travel, this is a must!

It is not as good as i hoped. Bottom line, too much batteries, (batteries are expensive) and it goes through them like a fat woman through chocolate.I will write a review on batteries as soon as i find them and boy will they get theirs.Motorola is not the best walkie talkie company. Its range is only 5 miles that five miles can make the difference between life and death when you are lost in a vietnamese jungle during the rainy season.And it is too quiet and their are not enough channels. And when you are playing mission impossible in the heating vents the range is reduced to like, 30 feet more or less. And shortly after mission impossible it ran out of batteries.

This is my first radio, I bought it last week. Used it over the long weekend in Lake George, NY. It was really useful to talk to my friend to find parking or ordering food. As cell phone coverages was not good as you go 3 to 4 mile north from village, this radio helped us a lot. I bought a AA battery model because I have bunch of NiMH (not NiCd) rechargable batteries (used for my digital camera). NiMH is FAR Superior than NiCd batteries.

Okay...forget what you've heard. FRS/GMRS is very limited range. You 'might' get 3-5 miles over water or open terrain, but typically much less. 1/2 mile is quite typical for ANY 500mw, 1 or even 2 watt radio. Due to the small antenna, wattage is not much help. In fact your position is the key factor, not power! Other external factors can effect range, which is why one person can't get range, while another can. Here in Queens, NY I get 1/2 to 1 mile. My friend's radios get the same. Over water on my sailboat I get MUCH more range and that's what I wanted them for. The range advantage using GMRS is small, compared to my set of regular FRS radios.
Included nicads are nice but a bit tough to get out when you want to switch to standard batteries. The charger allows you to charge just the nicads...nice. The display is hard to read when you look directly at it for some reason. Angle the unit and it's fine. These are not the smallest units around, but fit well in an adult hand and appear to be sturdy. Overall, very good units at this price point.

I own a Pentax Optio S and am shopping for a spare D-LI8 battery for it. I don't think the battery pictured above is correct. It isn't even the same shape. A real D-LI8 is almost square and the metal contacts are offset to one side. Might want to look elsewhere just in case more than the picture is wrong.

I purchased the Pentax DL18 battery from Amazon...which was fulfilled through JR Music and Computer World. A few items of note:

1) It is the Genuine and Authentic Pentax battery which was shipped with the Pentax S4i.

2) I would always suggest purchasing the genuine branded Pentax battery so you know what you are getting. You just don't want to mess with possible mismatches or where a generic is made to fit multiple applications.

3) If purchasing online from others...make sure you get the true thing. Know what you are buying.

4) Yes....the picture on Amazon is not accurate. It is not black...rather grey. I can assure you I received the genuine battery.

This is a well-constructed generic equivalent (made by PowerSmart in Japan) to the Pentax DL18 Lithium Ion battery for the Pentax Optio S camera. Depending on which vendor you choose, the generic brand may vary. One of the reviewers for this battery is correct about the illustration above; it is not the battery. The battery you will get is gray. It measures 40.5mm x 35.4mm x 6mm. The three terminals are at the edge of the battery, recessed and offset to one side. It is also interesting to note that this DL18 is equivalent to the Fujifilm NP-40 battery. The battery fits snug but not tight inside the camera, so that if you accidentally undo the spring latch, it won't fall out. Functionally, it works great and lasts just as long as the original battery.

I'm dissatisfied with these batteries as they appear to need repeated recharging. I use them with the Rio Cali MP3 player and achive approximately half the power duration per battery that I had with the Alkaline battery included with the player. By contrast, I own four Kodak AA NiMH batteries, for use in a digital camera, and they seem to hold their charge for a greater length of time.

I have been using NiMH batteries in my PDA for a while and got used to a recharging schedule and didn't think much of it. I decided to buy these as a backup set because of the cheap price. I am amazed at how long they last. These batteries last at least 5 times longer than my previous brand. They are so much better, I don't even use the other batteries now. The reviewer below is confused, AAA batteries don't have as much power as AAs.

dude... the capacity for AAA batteries is 700mAh and for AA is something around 2200mAh, of course AA batteries are going to last longer than AAA batteries...

I am not even sure if this recharger works properly. I have tried to recharge several sets (of different) C cell batteries and I have yet to ever get the green light indicating that the recharge is complete--even after waiting a week with one set. This unit did appear to recharge some C cell Ni-Cad batteries but did not appear to recharge some C cell rechargeable alkalines or standard alkalines--even though it claims to be able to recharge them. I cannot recommend it.

I have not bought a new package of AA batteries since I got this, and we normally go through them like water. I have successfully extended the life of at least eight sets of batteries.

I checked with my meter--it brings batteries as low as 1.4 VDC back up to 1.51 or 1.52 VDC (new, they tend to be at 1.54 VDC). I have several sets of batteries I've recharged at least three times and they are still working fine.

The key is following the directions: do not wait until the batteries are dead. Emerson states it will not work with completely dead batteries.

I have been pleased with the performance of this unit from the start. It charges 4 different sizes of alkaline, nicad and nimh batteries. We use batteries like water with 4 children. This unit has already saved us a great deal of money. Used properly, it charges very quickly and so easy to use with clear indicator lights that show the charging process through to completion. It even continued working after it was dropped on a concrete floor. I would definitely buy this product again.

I bought this unit brand new. In less than 1.5 weeks, had to replace the batteries THREE times. Talked to their tech support and was told that expected battery life is approximately 35-40 hours. No way did I drive for 105-120 hours in that one and half weeks!! Considering the unit is supposed to be battery operated, 35-40 hours seems a paltry amount.

I agree that you'll have to buy the Smart Cord instead of relying on batteries. But save yourself the extra $30 for the S2 and the additional $30 for the Smart Cord and just buy the already corded 8500.

The idea of it being a cordless unit is a total and absolute ripoff!!! They need to extend the battery life to at least 100 hours for this to be a viable product.

I have owned one of the first solo's for well over 10 years and it still works great. I can move or hide with ease from car to car. Sure you need to buy batteries but no cords to plug in and have hanging all over the place.

Basically the Escort S2 is the best cordless detector you can buy. I've owned the Escort S2 for a few weeks now and I must say I am quiet impressed. The unit gives LONG range warning so that it does what its designed to do, eliminate speeding tickets. The unit has tons of features overall and I am happy to say its well worth the money, you will not be sorry you purchased this product.

I had a previous good experience with a Jabra headset. This one was recommended for my Panasonic cordless phone by Jabra. However, the sound quality is terrible. It lacks any kind of high frequency response, and so sounds very boomy and full of bass, making it almost impossible to use. It also needs a foam cover, since any kind of slight wind movement makes it extremely noisy. I contacted Jabra about this product, but received no response. Maybe it would work better with a different phone, but definitely NOT with my Panasonic.

Really good sound quality for the price range. Suppresses outside noise very well due to such a snug fit. Since there are six (three different sizes for each ear), most people should find a decent match. Some of my friends found it kinda' hard to get used to sticking it in their ear but I thought it was rather soft and comfortable. It also stays in the ear quite well even while shaking one's head (Yep, I tried. I like a good tight headset.) According to everyone I called, the voice quality was also pretty good. Never had anyone complain to me about not being able to hear me unless it was windy or lots of background noise. (Don't think any other phones really do well in those conditions anyway.) The one downside is that due to the cylindrical design of the wire, the wiring came apart on the inside (took it apart to figure out why) because I used to wind the cord when not in use. Lasted about six months though. All in all, a pretty good headset . . just don't wind it up or fold it too much.

I've had two (broke one and lost one) and am ordering two more today. Nothing beats the simplicity of this gem. I use for my cellular phone (an LG 4400) and for my cordless house phones. Input sound is great, noise blanking fine for the recipient of my calls. Get very positive feedback from everyone I call. One of the best things I like is that there is nothing needed over the ear. It fits nice and snug in the ear.

We would like to comment the battery pack 3,6 volt 2,4 mH for Sony Digital Camera Type DSCP-5,very difficult to find at the market.

Please give us the reference the MTBF and MTBR for the battery and how many hours the battery recomended for recharged.

This battery is just 500 to 600 mAh, as compared to a 1150mAh M series battery, its size and capacity is so small. Besides, it do not have a double or trible size alternative. SonyHP.com has a detail comparsion of them. It often price from [money amount]to [money amount].

Nice Battery for my Sony Cybershot DSC-P3 camera. I tried it in my camera and it worked great. It was a lot cheaper than buying it off the Sony website.
