Battery life not great, but not biggest problem
The battery life is more like 6-7 hours rather than the 11 hours advertised however, this is not my biggest problem with the JB3. I too was cheated by Creative of my $50 rebate. For this reason, I will never purchase from them again. The Jukebox 3 is adequate, however, as pointed out, tracks on the Jukebox cannot be transferred to a hard drive or another player. This is a major shortcoming, in my opinion. Mainly, I think that Creative has sowed an awfully bad crop by cheating so many customers of their rightful and promised rebates.

    11 hours is a fairy-tale
I like the Creative Nomad Jukebox 3. I think it's a great value for what you get; sounds great, and has many options and features. However, my experience with their battery life is somewhere around 6 hours per charge, not 11. I can't imagine where they got that number; unless one of them ONCE on a rainy day in May did that so they claim it for all. Average in the real world is about 6 hrs by my experience, of course "your mileage may vary."

    I Love My MP3 Player
Although some of the reviews are not great. I'm here to set the record straight. This thing is awesome. I paid $399 for my jukebox 3 from jukeboxaccessories.com. I received it in about 8 days from the date of purchase. Not great, but hey, I'm not complaining after some of the horror stories I've read. As for the battery life, 11 hours is about right only if you're not playing it for 11 hours straight. 2-3 hours at a time for a couple of days without charging is what I got for the first few months. I decided to buy the extra battery (also purchased from jukeboxaccessories.com) since they were the only store selling it at a reasonable price at the time. Now, I travel back and forth from home to school to work and back home and enjoy several hours of play time without charging the batteries.

    Small and good
This battery works fine with your camcorder. Infact only problem you face is that you have to first identify that it will work with your camcorder or not and thats a problem. Its small is size and good as compared to other batteries

    Great
This battery is great. Infact i used many other batteries which are shown at amazon.com but this one works fine. Smaller in size with a good brand name. But please check that it is compatable with your product or not before ordering.

Answer to "derek timmis" from uk
derek, if your camcorder is digital and have a firewire connector, buy a firewire card (usually come swith the cable and siftware) and connect the camcorder with the Pc through it.

      DVL20E
I ENJOY DOWN LOADING THE STILLS TO MY PC BUT WOULD LIKE TO DOWN
LOAD THE MOVIE PICTURES AS WELL AS STILLS,HOW DO I DO THIS IS IT POSSIBLE? DO I NEED ANOTHER PROGRAM?

Works also with the RCA CC9370
I had been looking all over for an extended life battery for my RCA CC9370 digital camcorder and... finally, this one appears to be it! I haven't used it thoroughly yet, but so far it works fine both with the camcorder and with the AC adapter/charger that came with it. It's also much less expensive than the one recommended by the manufacturer. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I haven't tested yet how long it lasts under normal use without recharging.

Try another charger and get your batteries somewhere else...
Yes, it does charge in an hour or so, but...it doesn't fully charge the battery, even after leaving it in there for hours. I found this out after being unsatisfy with the life I was getting from my batteries. I decided to put the batteries in my "slow" charger one day and found that I was getting much longer life via my "slow" charger. What I do now is let this charger do most of the work then when it says it is done, I put the batteries in my slow charger to get a full charge. Also, you are better off buying some other rechargeable batteries than the ones that come with this unit. These are about as low rated (600mAh) as you can get. I get around 3 hours of playing time with these batteries in my mp3 player. My 800mAh Sony batteries last about 50% longer.

        works well
Charges batteries in about one hour and beeps each time a battery is fully charged. Batteries comes in 2 carrying cases which is useful to keep batteries apart and to store the discharged batteries until you get home. The only complain would be that the charger is not a Minolta brand as described but a Quest Charger made by Harding Energy Inc. It works fine but was expecting a different brand.

        Good charger
I bought this charger because it has 4 individual charging cells (each with its own LED) and trickle charge which are important for maximizing the batteries' effectiveness in items like digital cameras and PDA's. Plus, it's got an adaptor for the car. I was also considering the Rayovac 1 hr charger but have read reports about the batteries getting too hot after charging. So I went w/this Q2 charger and so far, I've been very satisfied w/this product.

        Poor Performance
I purchased this product. Contacted the Company to make sure My camera was compatable and which connection to use. I charged the battery overnight. Then took it to my kids first swim lessong. Excellent performance. After that one day I could never get a shot out of it. I could Charge it over night for for 2 days. It won't even power on my camera any more. I haven't contacted Unity, but I wouldn't suggest this product to anyone.

Pro Power Pack is great for all, not just pros.
My Nikon 990 went through AA batteries at an alarming rate. In fact, I thought at first something was wrong with the camera. I could only get a few shots out of a set. I was spending a lot of money on batteries. I almost gave up digital photography altogether.

A friend said that his ProPower Pack solved his problem....

When I got it, I wasn't satisfied with the shooting time so I called Unity Digital, the manufacturer. Turns out I ordered the wrong model and instead of going through all the hassles, expense, etc. by returning it through the system, Unity Digital handled it very quickly and easily and directly.

The model I have now (Model V) is FANTASTIC! It's already paid for itself and more by saving the $ on AA batteries. And the company's customer service is great, possibly the best I've ever encountered. I only wish all companies could be like this.

If you are spending more $ on AA batteries than you once thought possible, buy the ProPower Pack. I can shoot ALL day without changing batteries or losing those precious Kodak, er...Nikon, moments.

Freedom from batteries and A/C adapters!
After purchasing a Kodak 280 digital camera, I soon discovered that the warnings about rapid battery drainage with digital cameras were very true. After much research, I decided to try the Unity ProPower Pack (Model 5) to see if I could use my camera for extended periods without the hassle of an A/C adapter or frequent battery changes. What a treat this product turned out to be! Not only do I have unlimited freedom from the worries of low batteries and being tied to an A/C adapter, I can even remove the batteries from the camera while using the ProPower Pack to lighten the load. The ProPower Pack is small, light, and easily attaches to your waistband or belt. It comes with the recharging adapter and the cable necessary for connecting to your camera. I can usually get 4 to 5 hours of continous use of my camera while using the ProPower Pack. It will keep a charge most of the day, if I turn off the camera while not in use. Plenty of time to get tons of outdoor shots. I even use this product when downloading my photos from the camera to the computer. The product does require an initial charge for 24 hours, and subsequent charges after a day of use is overnight, (about 10 hours). My only complaint is that I wish the product was equipped with an indicator light while recharging to let you know when it is fully charged. But, I have not had a problem with just recharging it overnight and getting a full charge for the next day of use. If you crave the freedom from an A/C adapter and loathe buying batteries, this product is for you!

          not happy
don't buy it. it burned my kodak charger & batter leaked all over becos i left the batteries in the charger for a few days.
i do the same with kodak batteries, nothing happens, the charges just goes off.
not sure if sunpak battery & kodak charger are not compatible or sunpak brand is bad. it is made in china anyway.

UPDATE: Spoke with sunpak, they say i can;t mix batteries & chargers. They'll send me free replacement with charger. I will update on how this works.

          Unhappy with results
These batteries were a big disappointment as they were very difficult to put into my recharger. They seem to be bigger than the normal sized battery. It was not a bargain after all as I am unable to use them in my camera. The lower price was great but they are of no use to me because of the size.

Can a battery be TOO big?
These batteries are a fraction larger than my other rechargable batteries... which means, fitting them into my camera is a little more difficult, and getting t hem in and out of the recharger is very difficult.

          Thumbs down here :(

          Save your money
Just get a power inverter (~35-45$) and use the included battery charger. Then you can also use the inverter to power a laptop or a drill or something useful.

          Nice Charger
On the surface, this charger appears to be nicely made and convenient for auto use, just a bit pricey. Unfortunately and do to design, the charing unit does not securely hold the battery inplace. I've found that the battery slips out too easly, and can and does get ejected out of the charger if you hit a firm bump on the road. It's something you will want to keep an eye one. Got to where I needed the camera today, and again I found the battery on the floor of my truck.

          A Gem!
I picked up this car charger when I purchased my Canon PowerShot S500. At first I didn't think it would get much use and that I'd been pressured by the sales guy into purchasing it. But the charger has proven itself very useful and perfect for road trips.

It is super easy to use, you just plug it in to your cigarette lighter and away it goes. The lights work just like on the regular charger, so when the light turns green, you know you are good to go.

As for quality, this car charger isn't of any lesser quality than the regular plug into the wall one that comes with the camera. It is just as durable and it is definitely worth the price if you are on the road with any frequency. It is a little on the larger side, so it may not fit nicely in your glovebox.

All in all, this is a gem!

          Not so Great
I purchased this battery pack assuming it would yield me more shooting time on my nikon 5700. However,my experience has bee less than satisfying with this accesory . I find the original lithium battery that came with the camera lasts longer than a set of six (expensive) alkaline batteries attached via the MB-E5700 and forget about the rechargable batteries, they last even less. I believe it would be more cost efficient to purchase two extra lithium bateries and have them available when shooting for extended periods. Another minus is that the battery pack adds more weight to the camera and makes it more bulky. I would think twice when purchasing this item. In my opinion it really isn't necesary.

          Important Option
I have not bought this item yet, but seeing that it is available puts the 5700 back into consideration for my next digital camera. After paying outrageous prices for various proprietary battery packs, I finally decided if it doesn't use AA NiMh batteries I don't want it. These batteries have excellent capacity and only cost about 3x what alkalines cost - and they don't have the problems that NiCds have. I can buy a ton of spares and use them in almost any device I have. Thankyou Nikon, yours looked like a nice camera but I had ruled it out because of the batteries. It is now at the top of my list.

More than just a battery pack.
I rated the product 4 stars because of the price - this is a very expensive accessory. Otherwise, this is a very useful product, if you have the need. If you are out in the field and need lots of battery power, you can either buy a handful of Nikon's special batteries and carry the charger with you, or you can use the MB-E5700 battery pack. So, why get the MB-E5700? Here's a scenario: you are at the Disneyland Park shooting photos from early morning until the park closes at night. The next day, you are going right back again to shoot all day long. Are you going to stay up in your hotel room putting batteries in the charger for the next day's shoot? Instead, you can charge one of the Nikon batteries overnight and load up the MB-E5700 with fresh AA batteries. And, you can buy more AA batteries in the park, as needed. You'll have less stuff in your pockets, too.

You have to remove two parts from the camera to install the MB-E5700. The MB-E5700 has slots to store these parts, so they don't become lost. It takes only a minute or so to install.

The MB-E5700 has a lockable shutter button and zoom control that are intended for use when the camera is held in the vertical position. The shape of the battery pack itself assists with holding the camera in the vertical position.

Finally, the bottom of the MB-E5700 is flat and wide to accommodate placing the camera on a flat surface and being able to take photos with the camera perfectly level. There is a tripod mount as well. The battery pack places the camera a small distance away from the tripod itself - giving more room for handling the camera's controls and looking into the viewfinder.

This is a good accessory for the 5700. I just wish it were lower in cost.

          Timer controlled Charger
These type of charger seems to control the charging time by a timer that starts when you plug into power outlet. If you do not unplug it first before next use it will not restart charging. Very low tech if that is the case, and Kodak (or Energizer) may not want you to know it. I have one of these.

          More info!
I have the K200 charger but can find little tech. info. on it. Do the green lights indicate a charged, or a discharged condition? Some of the reviews/descriptions of this charger make it sound as if it will charge regular or alkaline AA and AAA batteries. I don't know much about batteries, but I'm pretty sure they have to be Ni-MH or Ni-CD batteries (size AA or AAA) to be rechargable. Attempting to recharge regular or alkaline batteries might be hazardous.

          A good little inexpensive charger
I have used the K200 charger for about a year with good results. However, it comes with an inadequate user's guide, and I haven't found any additional information on Kodak's site. The "auto-off" timer would seem to indicate that batteries are protected from overcharging. However, the unit does heat up when plugged in, and the user's guide states that it should be unplugged after 8 hours. If that's the case, it should include a built-in beeper! Several times, I've left it plugged in for a couple days, with no apparent harm to batteries or charger.

          Necessary evil
I suppose if you own the nikon 880 this product is a must--unless you want to keep buying $15 batteries every few weeks. As if it wasn't bad enough that Nikon doesn't include a recharger with their already overpriced camera, they go further by not including a rechargable battery with their recharger. That one will set you back another $60. On top of that the recharger is also an overy cumbersome design and far too big and heavy to travel with. I've owned Nikons all my life, but this last Coolpix 880 experience has soured me completely from the company.

          Probably shouldn't buy.....
the camera if you don't want to put out for the charger and batteries. You just have to have it the way digital cameras eat up the power. The only complaint I have about this charger is it does not seem to know when the batterie is recharged or having a problem. Probably just the unit I have but it works fine as long as I'm not in a hurry.

          Pricey but worth it.
I purchased the Nikon charger/adaptor because I went through batteries like water. This unit allows me to either use batteries or the wall socket. It is nice to have an extra rechargable battery as back up. At $$$ to $$$ a throw away, it is well worth it expecially if there are no stores close by with batteries.
