I ordered this battery so I could have a backup for my iPaq while travelling. It's the exact same battery that is included with the 5455. Unfortunately, it carries a hefty price tag and also some ridiculous packaging. Typical of most accessories, this battery comes sealed in molded plastic--the kind that allows it to be displayed in stores, but completely deters theft. The package was sealed so tightly with such thick plastic that I felt like I was performing serious surgery in order to extract the battery. In the process, the metal cover (wedged so tightly into the plastic) was slightly bent and required another 15 minutes of finessing to reattach it to the battery. Aside from the price and packaging, the unit performs as expected.

This battery only last about half compare to the battery
that came with the nikon 995 camera.
I used both of them under the same condition. It still good for
spare batteries but dont expect it to last as long as the
original battery.

After a couple bad experiences with DigiPower and their battery chargers they sent me the DPS-3000+ as a replacement for my older DPS-1000 unit. This item came with four (4) 2300 mAh AA NiMH batteries. A nice break from their older chargers this one comes with an adapter and a nice long power cable so you no longer need to find a free wall outlet to completely cover with your charger. The unit will charge either AA or AAA batteries and either two (2) or four (4) at a time. It also features an automatic trickle charge feature so batteries remain 'topped off' with no danger of over charging. It's relatively speedy at charging batteries. It is compact enough to fit on the corner of your desk or anywhere convenient. And it doesn't get all that hot like their older chargers used to. I keep two batteries 'fresh' in the charger and two batteries in my camera at all times and it seems to work well for me. All in all it's a good charger for the money. Although DigiPower's customer support leaves something to be desired (long contact delays, misread emails, etc.) they're willing to back their products fully.

This product claims to work with the canon NB-1L battery but it only fits the canon NB-2L battery. Otherwise a good product and value if it fits your type of battery. Not mine.

I bought the lithium-ion battery to replace my N-Mh one that after a year and a half would no longer hold a charge. I am an engineering technician and know a bit about electronics and was glad to get a lithium-ion battery.

I have had my energizer battery for eight months now. It is okay. I would buy it above other types of batteries (not name brands of batteries), but only for this phone.

When this battery if fully charged, it gives me only an hour and a half of talk-time. When I don't talk on it, the charge lasts for four or five days. Because I do use my phone, whenever I am home, I always have to plug it in and leave it charging.

Before with my N-Mh battery, when the battery was too low, it would discharge the battery (a lengthy process), but I could stop that and get an extra five minutes out(to say good-bye). With this battery, the phone just turns off and that is that.

My brother just bought a cell-phone. His came with a lithium-ion battery. It is half the size of mine and has a talk-time of four hours. He has a Nokia 81xx.

I don't think Energizer made his battery and I wish they had made mine with a little more life.

Battery has a short life, does not provide life indicated in the manual. Flash drains the battery after about 20 - 25 pictures. Its does fairly good if you do not use the flash or the LCD viewer.

it just like a double thick size of a smart media, with its 680mAh you can still takes over hundred photo using LCD...

The Lenmar Pro711 is an intelligent rapid charger, that is, it has a microprocessor that detectd negative delta voltage (-dV). A drop in voltage occurs when the batteries attain full charge. When the voltage-drop is detected by the microprocessor, the main charger is shut off (to prevent damage to the batteries from overheating) and a trickle-charge is initiated.

The Pro711 charges AA and AAA-sized batteries and four AA high-capacity NIMH batteries are included with the main charger. The Pro711 can be used on NiCad or NIMH batteries. {Rechargeable alkalines must not be used). Fully-drained Nicad charges in 1 hour (700mah), NIMH charges in 2 hours (1600mah) or more (2-1/2hrs for 2000 mah). Batteries must be "loaded" in pairs (2 batteries or 4 batteries at a time) and must be of the same type ( do not mix niCad and nimh batteries when charging). This Pro711 model works only with AC-input (110-240v input); the 12v-DC cigarette-lighter-adapter is an option and costs extra.

This is a Ni-MH battery. In other words, it has a limited lifespan, as opposed to lithium-ion rechargeable's, which don't. With general, moderate use the battery lasted me about just under 18 months. Progressively it lost it's ability to hold a charge, even after following the refresh guidelines closely.

if you're a professional or serious amateur (which you probably are if you're buying a D1) it would be more economical in the long-run, to go with a professional (external) power solution. Those can be found at any pro camera store, or online at places like Rob Galbraith's camera site, which you can find on any popular search engine like google. I think it's robgalbraith.com

I'm disappointed with nikon's battery approach for their pro cameras, and can not help think that their solution could have been motivated by the fact that it helps their bottom line if everyone owning a nikon D1 made an annual payment of $100 bucks to nikon. that's basically what it comes down to, as these batteries only last about a year. So far i've only been able to find the original battery for sale from nikon.
