Charger and battery doesn't work
DO NOT BUY THIS. Too much frustration. IT DOES NOT CHARGE THE BATTERY. Either there is something wrong with the battery or charger or the camera itself. Contacted Kodak about it, they sent another set (2AA NIMH Battery Pack NIMH & Charger) for free but still does the same thing. It charges for 10min then the lights go out on the charger indicating its done but when I used it in my DX4900 camera -only gets 3-5 shots then battery dies. I totally gave up.

Not an Accessory for the Kodak DX 6490
This should not be listed as an accessory for the Kodak DX6490 which uses a Li-Ion battery only.

Good enough for my needs
I have a Kodak CX3660 digital camera, and I bought this travel kit because of two major reasons:

1. I come from Spain, where the voltage is different, and it's usually a problem to find converters from 120V to 240V and viceversa. However, the battery charger included in this kit fulfills my expectations because a) it is a converter in itself, so it can be used with both voltage rates and b) it comes with different international adapter plugs, which means that I'll be able to use the charger in Spain as well.

2. I wanted to have rechargeable batteries. So far, I've had no problems with them. Usually, they are ready in about 2 hours. Plus, I don't have to worry about unplugging the charger after that time because it turns off on its own when the batteries are full. Regarding batteries' life, I must say that they've never failed me in the middle of any of my trips.

However, I was a little bit disappointed with the camera case: trust me, it's not big enough for any Kodak camera (at least not for any of the EasyShare models). Instead, I use it for my digital voice recorder, which is much smaller and fits well in it.

Other than that, the bag has enough room in it to carry both my camera and charger together. Besides, there are two small pockets where I can keep the batteries and the Memory Card.

In conclusion, I guess this is a good item for those of you that live somewhere between two different parts of the globe. Or for those who find yourselves travelling often around the world. On the other hand, if all that you're looking for is a good charger, I would recommend Kodak's rapid charger with 4 AA batteries.

the worst
it never worked;not even with the batteries it comes with!!!!
do not buy it.

[Inexpensive]
This may not be the top of the rechargable battery line but it works. There are a few things you might want to consider before buying. If you want a charger that automatically shuts off when done charging, this model isn't for you. It is capable of charging both AA and AAA batteries but nothing larger. The plug prongs on the back fold down for easier storage. You can charge other brands of NI-MH and Nl-Cd batteries but this one at least starts you off with 4 AAA NIMH rechargables. You could basically spend the money you would normally on disposables to buy this (how many batteries does your PDA eat?) Wouldn't it makes sense to give it a try?

Cheap!

Buy Versapak GOLD instead.
The silver version of these batteries just dont last. You will get 60% MORE life from the Gold batteries for a few dollars more. I have many B&D tools that run these batteries, including the "Snake Light"...the Silver will go dead with one days use, as compared to the Gold, which will last up to 5 full days of use. You can get these for the same price at Lowes and Home Cheapo. You'll pay tax of course, but it evens out after subtracting the cost of (not) shipping.

VersaPak is underated
True, they are only 3.6 volts each, and the life is not terribly long. However, the VersaPak line is extremely versatile and affordable. The common misconception is that the batteries should last longer...but you have to consider the use -- these small, light-weight batteries were never meant to build a house, sand a basketball court, or cut through concrete, they were made to be small, versatile, affordable and light-weight. VersaPak IS NOT a Contractor-grade powertool. I highly suggest investing in several sets of batteries if you use your tools often for long periods of time (more than 10 mins straight). But consider the alternative, a larger, heavier tool that costs 3 times as much (or more), and that goes for the battery packs too. The fact is, if you aren't getting enough power from a VersaPak tool, it was not designed for you, you should consider one of B&D's other higher voltage, contractor-grade powertools.

does as intended
The VersaPak system works great. It is not intended to replace larger cordless tools, but to be a versatile battery system for smaller, lighter DIY Tools. I find that they hold a charge well and last well. Some of my batteries are 4 years old and still charge and work like new. Don't try and build a house, but use them around the house and you will be pleased.

Progressive scan
The progressive scan is software configured ( through the remote) and only works through the component video output section of the player. It will not run through the s-video output. If you wish to use it as a regular player through the s-video then it's ok but you may wish to pay the extra bucks for one that outputs to a variety of outputs.

KOSS DVD PLAYERS
DON'T BUY IT! I bought a KOSS DVD player and it broke in 6 months. I was told I was out of luck because the warranty is only 90 days. They do not do repairs. My only option is to buy a new one and wasn't even offered a discounted price for it. I have seen several complaints like mine about KOSS on the web. They make JUNK and they make it to last just to get past the warranty period and then it breaks. Oh, by the way I loved it until it broke.

Nothing to write home about
We have purchased a few of these chargers for our department digital cameras (olympus) and every one of them is broken. The thin plastic cover which activates an interlock, breaks at the hinge point and doesn't make contact sometime. Just when you think the batteries are charged, and ready for swapping out, you find that the cover prevented the process from initiating and now all of the batteries are dead. Not too good.

Found better for less.
After reading the online reviews, I found a similar product for $19.99 at a local store. The charger is an Energizer ACCU RECHARGEABLE™ and can charge 1 to 4 AA and AAA or 2 9 volts in either NiMH(Nickel-Metal Hydride) or NiCd(Nickel-Cadmiun). The batteries can be left in the charger, keeping the battries at full charge. Product part number is UPN-3076814.

If only
I'm the kind of person who leaves batteries in a charger andforgets about them till I need them. I think most people are likethat. The worst feature of this product is you cannot leave the batteries in it for more than 48 hours without damaging them! I'm sorry but I've got other things to worry about besides checking batteries' charge status.

The "Universal Battery Charger (23-419)" can do 4, and is half the cost of the Olympus. The "Rechargeable Battery Fast Charger (23-422)" can do 8, which, considering the way the D-340R eats batteries, you might want. It is almost the price of this model here, but with twice the capacity. Neither come with NiMH batteries.

After returning the Olympus charger, I got the size 8 one and it works fine. The batteries are sold separately but you will still come out ahead.

Do yourselves a favor, skip this one

don't bother with this camera
This camera is a piece of crap! I had a Nikon many years ago that I foolishly sold, for this more "Easy to use" Sure Shot. It should be called the Sure Sucks. Red eye everywhere even when the function is turned on, and the "auto focus" when shooting indoors in low light is terrible. This "hold button halfway down, then wait for the light, then shoot" garbage is ridiculous in today's technology. I am selling this as quickly as I can and am truly disappointed in the Canon name- which I trusted when I bought this camera.

Missed Pictures
Camera takes okay pictures on "red eye" or "auto setting." However, the delay between depressing the shutter button to the actual picture can seem like an eternity. Therefore, many opportunites are missed. Especially when photographing children. In the past I have used cameras with similar features that did not have such a significant delay. Obviously, this delay is the difference between a good picture and no picture.

Worth its price
This Camera is really a good one to use and handle, the dial mode selection is very easy. The kit serves its purpose, we can keep 4 rolls and a battery in the side pouch, which I feel is more than enough for a normal photographer. Pictures are crystal clear, very neat and perfect images, no shadding or patches. The Zoom buttons are in a comfortable place, which makes the user to focus very easily, unlike other cameras. It is worth the money you pay for the Camera which comes with Free Kit. It is rated one among the best in the Consumer reports

Not worth it
I purchased two of these units and neither one has operated properly. They will not charge completely if at all. Do not waste your money on this product.

Fails to work.
The product will not hold a charge. Will not charge the flash on my camera. This time it's going back.

ProPower Pack to the RESCUE!!!!!!!
Well.... I tried the Unity Digital ProPower Pack and have had great success with it. Some others on this site had mentioned problems, but the three I bought work great. I think the key to success is buying the right ProPower Pack for your camera and make sure that you fully charge the pack before you use it. It is a trickle charge system and should be charged overnight for the results you expect. This isn't just a cell phone battery!!! Anyway, after the first one worked so well, I decided to buy another version for my Compaq iPAQ.... it is amazing how long this rechargeable battery system keeps my digital camera and iPAQ up and working!!! I bought a third one for a friend that uses it with his camcorder and he LOVES IT!!! Plus... like Unity's web site says, this thing has more than paid for itself in convenience and battery's that I would have had to buy. That pretty much makes it free. I think this product ROCKS!!!!

NiMH batts
I got my Makita drill/flashlite combo with the NiMH batteries because I have had little success with CADs staying charged and if they aren't completely drained when you recharge them they defect out immediately (how do you tell when a battery is 100% drained and not 99.2%?).
I have almost the same problem with the Makita NiMH batts -- if I don't charge them all the time (my Makita is for home use) they drain out in a few days, and they lose charge very quickly. I have yet to start a job without having to charge them first. I thought perhaps it was because I left them in the tools but that wasn't it.
Makita simply has terrible batteries.

Makita 9.6V Battery
During it's day no one could beat this set up. I have had this battery, and the drill it came with, since 1985 and it has never let me down.

Worth every penny
If you have any of the older cordless tools you will eventually need one of these. They are as tough and dependable as batteries get. These are about the only batteries that it makes more sense to buy than to replace the whole tool. As an example look at the 12v NIMH battery . They run about 150.00 for a pair.A whole new drill kit can be had for that. I would much prefer NIMH batteries but they are much more expensive and won't take as many charges in the long run.So I feel these are not that bad of a deal.

Defective battery
One of the 4 batteries I received was defective. It lost it's charge much more quickly than the other three. And when one goes bad in my camera, they all are useless.

Beware - Non-standard sizing
Beware, the circumference of the batteries is not standard, meaning that they are thicker than regular AA batteries! Thus, I could not make them fit neither in my Casio digital camera nor in my Maglite lamp. I am returning them.

Great price, great performance
In reviews of my camera a Minolta Dimage S414 was told it drains the batteries very fast. But with this batteries my camera looks to run almost forever!

Another plus is the price. It is a gift! I recommend this batteries to anybody that don't want to change batteries to often.

NOT a happy customer
I bought this as a gift for my parents and just found out [Dec. 25th] they need to also purchase a transmitter to get the darn thing to even work. The picture shows the transmitter- there is NO mention of requiring this piece as well. This information is necessary in order for someone to make an educated decision on whether or not to buy. What a slippery marketing tactic.

THIS IS ONLY AN EXTRA SPEAKER
Be careful when you order this item. Even though the picture above shows the speaker with the transmitter, this product is just the speaker. If you don't already have a transmitter, you want to get item number SRSRF90RK.

Nice item; works great with Apple ipods
Not sure why everyone else received the speaker without the transmitter. Mine came with it and overall sounds pretty good in my bedroom. No there's not a whole lot of bass, but visually it looks pretty nice especially at night with the cool illuminating blue light. For my purposes, I hooked this baby up to my new mini ipod and it works fantastic!
