Depletes rapidly
These batteries take a bit longer to charge up and once charged, they discharge quite rapidly. The best indicator I have of their performance is when they are used to power a portable LCD TV. Within 10 minutes of use, the screen will start to grey out. With other brands of NiMH batteries this event usually doesnt occur until the 1.5 hour mark. I am guessing these batteries can maintain max amperage for only a brief period of time. My kids have noticed that these batteries only last about 1/5 as long in powering their Gameboy. This brand is not recommended.

These batteries do not charge
Both my sister and I bought these batteries. They do not hold a charge and eventually stopped taking a charge all together. I would not recommend these batteries for your Kodak camera. (Both cameras however work great). It is disappointing that Kodak has associated these poor batteries with excellent cameras.

No enough information about product
Amazon fails to give the part number of this recharageable battery. Kodak makes a couple of different rechargeable batteries. Upon purchasing this battery pack I discovered that the one I received would not charge on the dock. Also, the battery pack was shipped with the packaging damaged and the battery was loose in the box. I would definitely recommed anybody needing and purchasing this particular battery pack order it directly through Kodak.

These worked very well for me, but are hard to find
These came with the Kodak camera dock. Once charged, I am routinely able to take approximately 150-160 photos before the battery has mostly discharged. I used it regularly for about 1 year before it would not hold a charge. It's a good thing that they are available online though--they are hard to find locally, even at the store where I bought the camera and the dock.

Battery dies quickly
This looks the same, and fits the S330 which I have, but dies a quick death compared to the original Canon battery. The price is great, but you need at least 2 of them to equal the 1 Canon battery, so it's really no deal at all. I am very disappointed at the performance of this battery. I bought 2 and I regret it.

It runs out too soon.
I purchased this battery as a back up for my Cannon NB-1LH Battery Pack but it ran out so quick within one hour. If you're looking for a back up battery for your camera, please don't buy this one. You will be very disappointed.

Don't buy this battery
I bought this battery because it claims to be compatable with the Canon S330 camera. We'll the battery doesn't fit the camera without shoving it into the camera, which will probably result in long term damage to your camera. Stick with pure Canon products.

Product no good, worst customer service, EVER
Well, I bought the PowerPad 160 (not cheap, those things are like $400) last fall. Last month the thing went dead. It would not charge at all. So I called customer service, and was told that they'll give me an exchange after I send in the proof of purchase. By the way, customer service over there = 1 person (Michael). So I did, and nothing happened for days. Called back, apparently whoever received the proof of purchase never informed customer service. Finally, their RMA department (possibly the same person), according to Michael, gave the exchange approval and told me RMA number is on the way. So I wait for another week...nothing. Called back, apparently there's another communication breakdown. No one bothered to call or email the RMA number and instruction. By the way, they don't ever return your calls. So leaving messages is pointless, you'll just have to keep calling. So I got the instruction over the phone, and was told that they will ship out a brand new replacement unit the day after the old unit is received. So I overnighted my old unit. Almost another week went by, nothing came. So I called again for the tracking number. This guy told me: "I got your message and was about to call you. But I can't read the tracking number I wrote down so let me look it up." A few minutes later, he came back and said "I can't find the tracking number, it hasn't been entered into the system" (hmmm....interesting, Michael, I though you just wrote it down and was about to call me)..."however, we did sent out your replacement unit on Thursday and you should receive it today or tomorrow." So I thought I'd finally get the new powerpad. So the next morning, while waiting anxiously for the UPS delivery, I get a call from electrovaya. Someone from electrovaya had just informed me that they received the unit I sent, it is unrepairable and since I've had it for 7 months so it exceeded the 6 month warranty, there's nothing they can do but to safely dispose it. Wait a minute; I said, for the last 3 weeks, I've been told a new unit was on the way! So the woman goes talk to Michael (customer service department). 10 minutes later, I find out that nothing was shipped out, he made up the whole thing about the exchange approval, they make a bad product that breaks as soon as warranty is up, nobody talks to each other, nobody knows what's going on, they need to improve internal communication, and oh yeah, you just wasted a bunch of money. Hey, electrovaya, there's this thing Alexander Gram Bell invented in 1875 called the telephone, use it! So I hope the $400 some dollars was a nice bonus for some proud electrovaya employee and made his kids happy over last Christmas. Or use it to cover overhead used to fire the customer service department. In conclusion, their product is crap, people I've dealt with over there are clueless and dishonest. If you are looking for an external batter, check out Valence at http://www.valence.com, a US company with a cheaper, and mostly likely, better product.

    It is no good.
The Electrovaya PowerPads "Puff Up" and become very ugly and dangerous looking. Here is a quote from the director of sales: "...the battery can over-discharge and the cells can be damaged. In some cases when a stored PowerPad was later charged it puffed. The puffing was actually a good thing in that this is how the battery was designed." Electrovaya has now reduced the length of their warranty to 6 months because they no longer like to support their PowerPads. I have seen this happen to 70% of PowerPads within 1 year of use. I would not recommend this product in any way!

unique capability for >12 hrs laptop time
I purchased an Electrofuel (now Electrovaya) pp160A for my compaq laptop two years ago when they first came out (at the time Electrofuel in Canada was just transitioning from a tiny startup company to a manufacturer). It worked as advertised (I think the puffing up comment is nonsense) to provide clean power for extended intervals with 4 hr recharge. This week it has worn out and now I am purchasing a new one despite the high price tag because nothing else compares to this product. Electrovaya says to expect 300-400 recharge cycles before it dies, so 160w unit preferred over 120w unit to give you the longest amount of time before having to replace this pretty expensive battery. It gets 3 stars because 2 years is a bit short for a $400 product (look around on the internet and find cheaper prices...)

    Help For This Battery
I signed on looking for this battery and noticed everyone had the same problem. I also have the Sony DSC-P1. Taking "Canada's " advice I killed the battery. You should set the flash to on. After you turn on the camera and the flash is charged take a picture right away and continue doing this as soon as the charge light is steady. I took 150 pictures this way(2 64 meg cards) on a socalled dead battery. Don't give the battery indicater a chance to come on. This battery used to charge in 4 minutes and die in 3.:). After I killed the battery to the point it didn't have the energy to pull the lens back in, it took 2 hours to charge and hasn't died yet! I don't think the battery itself has memory, I think it has a problem with the info part that tells the camera how much powers left and it fools the camera into shuting off. Hope this helps all. It helped both my batteries.

They have risen from the dead!
I've had exactly the same problems as everyone else... I have two InfoLithium NPFS11 batteries which have been apparently less and less able to hold a charge as time goes on. I reached the point where I wouldn't even bother to take my Sony DSC-P1 out with me anymore! The batteries would last for two or three pictures then the camera would shut itself off. Thank goodness I found these reviews! I was about to buy two new replacements, having no idea that EVERYONE has the same problem with these batteries. I followed the prevailing advice and sure enough the results are a spectacular reversal of fortunes - a saving of almost $100! I killed one battery by taking picture after picture with the flash . I eventually got to 114 pictures at 640 pixel resolution, having to switch the camera on again (probably 8 or 9 times) when the "battery life" indicator came on and powered down the camera. Ignoring what the camera's telling you will mean that you will continue taking pictures for a long time. The camera actually gets HOT it's being used so much! Eventually the camera goes REALLY dead and the lens won't retract. Now I'm recharging the battery, pretty confident that the old battery will be rejuvinated to it's formerly effective self. This is exactly the advice given in the other reviews. HOWEVER... for the second battery, rather than trying to quickly start taking photos BEFORE the battery life is calculated by the camera/battery, I let the calculation go ahead first. The camera indicated that the battery life was 80 minutes. I immediately started taking pictures and got up to 190 pictures (using the flash). Again, the camera got quite hot in the time it took to take all those pictures. And even after all that time and all those pictures the camera showed that this second battery STILL had 45 minutes left in it! Odd. What I'm thinking is that it MIGHT not be entirely necessary to "kill" your battery in order to make it work properly. Maybe what you need to do - to kick your battery in the pants - is just take picture after picture for a few minutes as soon as you turn the camera on and it'll reset the INFO part of the battery! Worth a try. Obviously, you might need to do this every 6-8 months or when you notice the performance dropping off. Already this second battery is behaving like it used to - even without killing it.

I have a hypothesis about the problem and why this "treatment" of your battery might breath new life into it. We tend to use our cameras in a very specific way that may be foiling the functionality of the InfoLithium system. We turn on the camera in preparation for taking pictures but it could be several minutes before we take a single picture. And we tend not to take pictures in rapid succession once we start. I think this cycle of switching the camera on, then doing little or nothing with it makes the battery go into some kind of "info-coma" after repeating this pattern for a long time! I wonder if the way this technology was developed failed to take this real-world factor into consideration. I speculate that the laboratory testing of this device probably involved discharging the battery immediately after the battery life indication had been calculated. Maybe that process is what the battery needs to calibrate itself. After months of never receiving that treatment it's possible that the battery no longer "knows" what the hell's going on!! I'd be curious to know if other people have the same results as I have. Email me if you like at nowis@sbcglobal.net

A new tip for renewing the dead battery.
OK, I came to Amazon hoping to just buy a replacement battery for my DSC-P1 and found that everyone here has the same problem I had. So I took someone's advice below and set out to drain the battery before the InfoLithium computer kicked in and stopped my fun. What I found though is that resetting the battery is a lot easier.

I took about 15 pictures before the battery indicator appeared. I then realized that I was taking huge pictures and running out of memory stick space, so I paused. The battery indicator kicked in and showed 80 minutes. As I took more pictures and connected the camera to my Mac for awhile, the indicator showed nominal battery drainage and seems to be back in sync. This was a battery that seemed to be unable to hold a charge for more than three or four photos, with or without flash.

So before giving up on your battery, try a quick refresh! I gave this 3 stars because it's lame that the problem kept me from using this camera for more than a year, but it was easily fixed once I knew what to do.

    Doesn't fit FRS 220 radio!
The ad clearly states it fits ALL Cobra microtalk frs radios. The packaging doesn't list compatible radio models. But it doesn't fit their FRS 220 model. So basically, I have one battery in the rear slot and I jury rigged the front slot to also take just the battery. So the adage is true - buyer beware!

    Check out the new model!
The FA-CH has been replaced by a newer model charger, the FA-CR. Will function with both FABP battery packs installed or removed from the FRS units.

One note: the FA-CH comes with a car cord but the FA-CR doesn't.

I agree with Peter J Moore
The exact same problem. The charger failed and it is now outside of the 30 day return period.

    Re-Charger doesn't work either
After many frustrating phone calls to customer support on my DX3900 Kodak camera, I puchased a quick charger for the batteries for my camera. The dock DOES NOT charge these batteries. I also puchased an extra battery so that I would never be caught short. Well the quick charger lights up , blinks then goes off...indicating a full charge. When the battery is placed in the camera it last all of 4 pictures...then shuts down. I am TOTALLY disgusted with this product and all it's accessories. I have spent OVER for a camera that doesn't work. Don't waste you money on the quick charger either!
Obviously, I have a BAD camera and Kodak won't admit it!

Good if you have 14 hours to kill
Charges 4 batteries in under 14 hours. Amazing that someone still manufactured this hunk of junk. My other 3 chargers can do so, with a plug that does NOT take up the entire outlet, in less than 4 hours.

      Avoid at all cost...

      Poor Performance
I received this charger with my Minolta Dimage s414. I was so excited to get a free charger, but now I know why it was free. I charged the batteries three times and then it stopped working. I'm only glad that this happened while I wasn't travelling in a remote area where it would be difficult to buy a new charger. I'm looking for a charger with better customer satisfaction.

      Disappointed in usage time
Don't expect to get the same amount of usage out of this battery as you do the original. My experience was to get about half of the shots with or without flash as I do with the original before the BP-CN1L quits and needs a recharge.

Low quality Li-ion battery. Buyer be aware!
Stopped recharging within 6 months. Buy the original Canon battery. Waste of money

      Don't Bother!
I've returned three of these -- none of them held a charge longer than a day or so. My original battery is still going strong, but the Digipower battery is a total waste!

      I'm not alone!
I thought I just got a bad battery with my Sony Vaio. It has been a great laptop with the exception of this stupid battery. Within 3 months it wouldn't hold a charge for longer than 10 minutes.

Seeing these other reviews makes me realize I'm not alone. I feel your pain! I tried the Energizer brand but it was doa.

I'm tempted to buy some cheap unknown brand. Can't be any worse than this Sony OEM.

      An inferior product
I didn't realize how universal the problem with the Sony laptop battery is. A friend of mine has a new 12" Sony, where the battery currently lasts many hours. I was shocked. I have never gotten more than 45 minutes out of my battery. Now it lasts under 10. I need a new one, but am more outraged at the price. Batteries for every other company are around $80-140, but Sony makes an inferior product for more than twice the average price.

      High Price for Short Life
I have a Sony Vaio Notebook that I purchased 2 years ago, and during that time it was ahead of it's time, and in some respects, still is. I always have it hooked up to an outlet, but whenever I try to do stuff wireless, the battery life goes damn quick, even doing the simplist of tasks, like word. God forbid if I tried to listen to a CD, that would just be like drilling a 2 inch hole in the gas tank of a car. I am a very loyal customer to Sony, I got the Sony MiniDisc Player and recorder, Sony Studio Headphones, a Sony Handycam, Sony Playstation 2, and of course a Sony Vaio. But my loyalty cannot deter my feelings for the damn high price for this lousy battery. Hell I hardly used the battery and it already has been killed, how f***ed up is that? C'mon Sony, your squeezing my balls here, I am disappointed in this and I am forced to rely on the cord till Sony comes to gripes and lowers the price down dramatically.

A side note to Sony: When making your damn laptops, make them so that people can actually upgrade the damn thing without having to rip out all the innards and replace everything, I want to upgrade my video memory, but you pricks embedded the graphics chip in my motherboard, so now I'm screwed and I have to get a new laptop with a better graphics card to even play some games. Now I have a headache, thank you Sony.
