This battery is sitting in its' charger right now. I was on my way out the door to take a picture outside, but my battery was dead, again. I was mad but writing this has made me feel a little better. I have missed out on more than a couple Kodak moments because of this battery.
The Cannon battery was much better.

What a piece of crap! Unfortunately I was not able to find another manufacturer of this type of convenient wall plug-in charger, so I went with the Digipower TC-740. Well, I liked this item until I charged the higher capacity Canon BP-535 battery pack with it. The charger was supposed to be able to charge this battery. But after about 5 minutes, I smelled smoke and the charger was so hot I could not touch it and the plastic appeared to be a little melted. One of the AC prongs was also so loose it was able to spin completely around. I would not recommend this cheap charger, and I wish I could get my money back.

These batteries do not work. As soon as I switch my Canon S100 to picture taking mode the camera automatically shuts off. I bought 3 of them and they all do the same thing. Must be some strange non-OEM compatibility issue - be warned

Energizer should be ashamed to put their name on this useless piece of junk. I bought this laptop battery from Circuit City and 2 months later it could not hold a charge. When I attempted to contact Technuity or Batteries.com (or whatever the fly-by-night company that produces this battery is called) they informed me that I would have to ship the battery back to them in Indianapolis and include a check for $5.45. When I questioned them about "FREE" replacement they just laughed. When I inquired about this business practice, they just told me to read the fine-print of the warranty.

So, my recommendation is.. unless you enjoy damaging your laptop and spending money for a useless piece of plastic, stay away from this battery. Buy the Sony brand and pay the extra money.. atleast Sony will be more professional when responding to your concerns.

Finally.. Note to Energizer - Cut these guys from your product line, you have already pushed me to only buy Duracell products from this day forward.

This is a total piece of crap and a total waste of money. I bought this thing on sale for $30 at Staples, but it is a total piece of crap and doesn't do what it is intended to do.

Everytime there has been a storm in which the power flickered even for a moment, this thing doesn't do what its supposed to do -- battery backup. Instead, it just shuts off. What's even more screwed up is that my girlfriend's computer, which is on the same circuit as mine, but plugged into a regular $10 surge protector doesn't have any problems. When the power flickers, her surge protector just absorbs the spike and is fine.

Whats the point of a battery backup that cant handle a teeny surge and doens't go to battery backup? Screw this. I'm getting a cyber power like I've got at work. Cyber power is great.

So, I purchased this battery from Circuit City and it died in two months. The awful team of customer dis-service at Technuity told me that the "free replacement" meant that I had to send them the battery back at my own expense along with a $5 check to pay for their shipping.

It doesn't stop there. After 2 months, I finally got the replacement battery and it lasted.. hmm.. guess! So, now my second battery is dead and I have a wonderful paper weight.

Let me make this very clear to anyone who would even consider buying anything from Technuity. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS OR ANY BATTERY FROM THESE GUYS!

I now have a $150 paper weight and I will never purchase any products from energizer ever again. I have a few letters in the mail to Energizer asking them to reconsider their contract with Technuity.. what an awful company.

The only good news is that I don't believe the battery has done any permanent damage to my laptop. Otherwise.. I'd be finding a lawyer.

This product is advertised as as a 1500 mAh battery. It is not. The ad copy is wrong. It is in fact a 1050 mAh battery. I don't know why they still haven't corrected this. The corresponding stand by time and talk time are greatly reduced from what the ad says as you might expect from the reduced mAh rating. It did however have the vibrating feature which was not originally listed.

Beware of this product. Bought one, worked great.. for about a month. It's now dead, will not take a charge, and sits inert. Classic reason to stay away from knock-off cheap junk.

Received My battery for use with a Sony 505 series.

battery worked when received ... powered laptop for about an hour..

Never accepted a charge, and never worked again after that in either of two 505-series laptops available for testing.

Maglites were once considered the best of the best, but that was over 20 years ago. The Surefire and Streamlight brands are quickly becoming a favorite of Law Enforcement Officers. Mags are just too big, too heavy and too dim. Get yourself an Arc or Surefire instead
