Smartest way to backup Windows®
While this medium is becoming increasingly irrelevant, it's still vital for Windows users needing to create a backup of vital program files in the event of a system crash that leaves your CD drive useless. The average home user of Windows (who backs up program data on Zip disks, CDs or tape) will not need more than 10 disks to back up her system. Colored disks are an especially smart way to back up your critical program files because you can create a more ordered backup environment. And the neon colors Imation puts out just look cool. In a crisis, your life will be made a little easier by the few extra pennies you spend on these colored disks.

My criticism of these disks is limited. First, I would have preferred having one more disk of each color, or the ability to buy a smaller pack consisting of a single color. That would have made color coding a little easier. Second, for especially heavy users of this media, this 10-pack is obviously not cost effective.

But these are truly minor qualifications. For most home or single computer users of Windows, this is the smartest way to backup core Windows (and some third party utility) elements for a rainy day.

Is a disk just a disk?
I'll shamelessly admit I bought these only because Amazon's system "recommended" them to me when I ordered a Sony digital camera (and I happened to need some disks anyway). They work just fine--is that high enough praise for a computer disk? Oh, and the colors are pretty.

Perfect match with SONY Mavica cameras
These floppies are very high quality and provide excellent storage. I use the floppies today exclusively for picture storage with the Sony Mavica FD-88 camera. Many floppy brands are troubled by causing very slow storage from the camera onto the floppy. The Imation does not have this problem. I get 2 sec storage time using these disks. I cannot recommend them highly enough for use with the Mavica line. And the bright colors, in addition to being fun, make the disks easy to spot among the huge pile of old disks in my desk.

It works perfectly with no flaws
I bought this at the store and thought I was going to have problems with this company but i didn't. I first burned a music cd using Nero 6 and played it on my cd player and it worked with no problems. I also burned an ISO onto another CD-R and was able to use it with a label. Still no problems. I finally put some pictures on another cd and have looked at them from the cd and it has never failed me. This product is very good. I also did some other tests. Cd drives will not be able to read the cd if it is dusty but after it is wiped (even in a circular motion which is bad for the cd) it will work. I don't know if thats any different for any other company... Some one said that putting labels on the CDR will mess it up. It doesn't. At least not for me. I have put around 10 labels on different KHypermedia CDRs and they all work.

GOOD
Usually I need many cds to burn my files, but black cds usually are pretty expensive..
Finally I found cheap and high quality black cds..
At firt, I didn't feel sure about this cd because I had never heard about the brand khypermedia before.. ya~ that was ture...
but you know what.. it's just great!!! ^_^b

An Absolute Bargain with High Quality thrown in.
These discs are flat-out-hands-down The Real Thing.
I bought a 50 disc spindle of these last year in a local store because the price was too good to pass up. They burned fine at top speed and down to 2x. Since, I recieved a 100 disc spindle for Christmas (I have a large 600+ CD collection to backup) and bought 2 more 50s and the only "coasters" I've made were my own durned fault. I bought a 30 and a 50 of Memorex and four of those refused to burn. I should have known better from my experiences with their tape products.
I've made audio, data and SVCDs. I even used a few to back up some old freeware that is no longer extant anywhere but private archives and freed up hard disc space in the bargain. That's high praise indeed! I've successfully overburned a couple to 82 minutes(equiv.) packing on audio books ripped to mp3 for trips.
Never have I had a problem with a CD-ROM or DVD or CD audio player reading these. Anecdote? I have a CD that my 12 year old Discman refuses to play anymore. I ripped it with Exact Audio Copy, burned it with Nero and that 12 year old Discman happily plays that new disc all the way through without a glitch. That saved me the cost of the spindle right there.
The busiest discs are still in fine condition through many, many trips in and out of the CD sleeve. (Maxells seem to have a surface made of gelatin, they scratch so easily.)
Complaints? Well... The K-Hypermedia logo takes up all of the top half of the disc so if you want to write comments, you'd better be brief or be willing to put in the time (and money) to make your own labels. That's it.
Conclusion: I use TDK mainly because they are easier to find, but I don't hesitate to buy these because they are no-name and neither should you.

Cool and reliable
A high-quality CD-R with a counterintuitive BLACK reflective surface, what can be cooler than this? I have used these discs for 3 years and none of them went wrong. Just love them that much. Strongly recommended.

excellent
after looking for some cheap cd-r's i found these about a month ago, and ordered one pack. Now I only have 3 cds left and I've ordered two more spindles. These cds are great. High-quality, no defects/problems, even the spindle they come on is durable and useful. the price makes these a bargain. if you are going to burn a lot of stuff to cd, then order several packs of these, you won't be disappointed

Finally found these again!
I bought several packs of these CDR's back in 2002 and I was never able to find them again! I kept buying whatever was on sell or whatever I could use rebates for. Boy, was I a moron! I have used almost every brand of CDR and the one I remember are these - most of my cd collection are these and none of them have ever gone bad - even when I barely scratched them or if they had a slight smudge. I am definitely impressed with these.
Not only are they a good quality, but they are an awesome price also!
I am back to using them, baby!

Ok, it is sad I am so psyched about these. Please do not make fun of me until you try these yourself.

Great Buy
First MD's I ever acquired - seems to work fine. Tried to erase and record all over again - and worked well. Comes with the MD case - which is a great incentive.

Give me some of that!
The new case that protects the actual disk isnt a joke. I had a few accidents involving an enraged 2 yearold and a minidisc. The minidisc came out of the battle without a scratch. Also, the actual disk is of A+ grade too.

Beautiful blue diskettes that are just super for storage!
You have to love these 120MB SuperDisks. I save all my Word files on one and pictures on another. I have only filled one completely so far. They hold quite a bit of information for sure. Everthing saves to them "super" fast and that is why I love them. What more can I say? Backup your info now or cry later! I have heard all the horror stories, including a ladies cat who sat on her keyboard and somehow deleted a whole word file. How, we will never know. I tell you, you have to watch those cats! They love keyboards.

The only choice for LS-120 drives
If you have an Imation SuperDisk drive, then Imation SuperDisks are your media of choice. Unlike Zips and floppies, where one brand works about as well as the other, I would (and do) use only Imation disks in an LS-120 drive. Since support for this technology is waning, stock up now!

Reasonably Priced Super Solution
These disks are great! Save all your large update files, favorite downloads, games etc.

    great for music
I bought two of these packs to record music on my phillips cd recorder. So far I have used 12 of the cds with no problem. They are digital audio as my recorder requires and they play on my car player and discman with no problem. I'll probably buy more later.

    Quality CD-R's
These CD-R's (NOT minidisc's as stated in the review prior to mine) have never given me a bit of trouble; no wasted discs from buffer underruns, etc. "Mini-spindle" case fits in many of the same places regular jewel cases fit (obviously thicker, but height & width are the same as regular cases) - easy to store.

    this is great
this is a great holder for you minidiscs its just the right size

    Like no other!!!!!
Oh my god - i can't believe how i lived without this product.

Before - i used to spend countless hours trying to get those damn blank cd disc packeges open! - i mean god - its like they package the stuff up so tight that it can't come undone during shipping - sometimes i wish they would make it easier.

Thats when my friend Jethro introduced me to this new-fangled dohicky. God - the differances!!! - i can now open a new box of 100 disc cd's in under a minute now!!! (which believe me - with all my... uhhh... nature films.......... - i need to store all that i can - i go through 100 cd's in under 2 weeks) - now with this device - i can save my nimble fingers for........ well......... uhh........ other activities.........

Buy it now - or be the stupid kid who everyone laughs at!

    You won't regret it!

You can't beat this product for convenience or price
So simple, yet so effective! That's the best way to describe the Maxell CD150 CD Disc opener. Think back to all the fingernails that you've broken trying to open that new CD. Well, this product eliminates that problem forever. Quick and easy, with the CD150 CD Disc opener, it's one or two quick zips and the CD is open.

You can't afford to be without two of three of these products. And, you'll probably buy even more after your friends see them lying around and ask to borrow them.

Great price - great product! Way to go Maxell!

    IT WORKS!
How can one honestly review something as simple as this? Suffice to say, it does a nice job, it's convenient and I'd be lost without it!

      The Size Is Right
Two words: shirt pocket. Are there files that you like to keep with you, and you want to be able to carry from the office, to home, and beyond?

USB flash drives are great, but if you have access to CD burners and want to keep files with you, this is a fantastic option--and at a fraction of the price of a flash drive.

      SWEET!
I love these little toys. don't use them for just WAV files (or regular music cd files), that makes them a total waste of money. using them as MP3 cd's however is perfect. they're great because you can keep them in your glove box in your car, and if used as MP3 cds, you can keep like 3 albums on one disk. Plus, they're cool! it says so in the product description.

      Awsome mini cds
To tell the truth, I actually got the 5-pack of the cdr's, but i was very happy with them, where they may not have very much space on them, they are still very cool.

      Alera Technologies DVD/CD Shredder

DVD/CD Shredder provides protection and peace of mind
With a DVD or CD falling into the wrong hands all of your personal financial records, business customer lists, an entire accounting system or more could be lost or used against you. With the growing threat of hazards like identity theft the DVD/CD Shredder provides the protection and peace of mind needed at a very low cost.

      ...

When information is stored on DVDs and CDs the amount of data and the danger of loss is enormous. Failure to securely dispose of discs containing sensitive data that has become partially obsolete has the potential to destroy you and your business. A single CD holds the equivalent of approximately 80 four-drawer cabinets of text data. One side of a single DVD disc holds about 560 four-drawer cabinets filled with data, seven times CD capacity.

Recording data and information of all types on DVD and CD discs is a growing practice and the problem of secure disposition of old discs is growing faster. When DVDs and CDs are used to store data or back up a system, usually all of the data on a subject is recorded. When changes are made, they are typically to only small parts of the data and when changes are stored, all of the data is re-recorded on a new DVD or CD. The DVD or CD made before the changes still contains much sensitive and valuable information and DVD-Rs and CD-Rs cannot be erased.

Using a DVD/CD Shredder is one step you can take to minimize your risks. Alera Technologies new DVD/CD Shredder permanently destroys the data layers on DVDs and CDs securely preventing unauthorized use. For quick and easy handling, the DVD/CD Shredder will process up to 30 discs per minute, completely destroying the information contained on them and it is equipped with unique autostart/autostop operation.

The DVD/CD Shredder is the ideal security tool for corporate, government, education, and consumer applications.

      Alera Technologies DVD/CD Shredder
The DVD/CD shredder is small and compact and weighs about 8 lbs (3.6 kilos). You can easily make room for it on your desktop. This DVD/CD shredder is well worth the money because other methods (e.g.: professional data shredding services) are either more expensive or (when snapping CDs or DVDs in half by hand) downright dangerous. Businesses often store customer, personnel, confidential and manufacturing data on large volumes of CDs. The DVD/CD shredder comes into play offering a powerful security solution when the time comes to destroy data and backups which are no longer needed. The DVD/CD shredder is able to destroy data at a very fast rate - up to 30 DVD/CDs a minute.

      Great Product
As a test I used a CD filled with freeware. I inserted a CD into the insert slot on the machine and it pulled the CD inside. After the CD was ejected I could see ridges throughout the CD (top and bottom layers) making it unreadable and safe from prying eyes. In order to test the manufacturer's promise I inserted the CD into a computer drive and tried to read the data. The computer gave me a hour glass and was unable to load the CD.

Success! I now use it on all my test CDs before going in the trash.

      Secure backup using LS-120
The LS-120 does not have as fast access as the ZIP drives (though the latest models are apparently faster than the earlier models), but LS-120 is much more reliable. ZIP disks are good only for backup of information that is not critical if lost. The LS-120 and CD-R (using name-brand media) are good for archival backup. The ZIP and CD-R/W are good for less critical backup only. The LS-120 deserves to be better known in the marketplace.

      Very efficient, useful tool.
I love LS120 Superdisks. I have never liked Zip drives, because of some compatibility problems. And the inconvenience of the drive. I replaced my 3.5 in. floppy drive with an internal LS120 Superdisk, as they are capable of reading 3.5 in. floppies as well. They even have more space than the Zip-100. Very convenient, and extremely simple to use. The only problem is: I can't find them anywhere lately. I can't find the blank media, or additional drives either.

Don't Let These Fall By The Wayside!
LS-120 SuperDisks 3.5In by Imation: These are great tools to use for transferring larger files and/or for storage. We have found them not so available lately (July, 2001) and find this strange. They are far superior to Jazz or Zip systems because they are not a foreign, separate system to hang onto your computer. They are fully compatible and fabulous! ... I keep my QuickBooks data backed up on them daily for 2 different small business accounts. I need 2 each for seven days of the week (replaced every 6-months or so for safety), plus others for maps, photos and/or etc. that I send to business associates, friends and/or family. The extra space in the disk is essential for my work. Check them out, if you haven't tried them already; and use them more, if you have. Don't' let them fall by the wayside!
