Once I bought my mini disc I was a little scepticle but after a day or two I found out I am never going back! With the mini disc you can buy another disk at $5 instead of $100 for another cartridge and you get the same amount of music on the mini disc as the cartridge! Once with mini disc never go back, that would most definitely be a mistake never forgotten.

Take your typical cdr (from memorex to the 32x tdk cdrs) they have poor reflectional quality. These cd's and any other "12x compatible" cdr by tdk have a beautiful deep blue shine on the recording surface. This makes it easier for older cd players (particularly those cd players that have trouble playing recorded cds) to read them. It takes just 1 second for my sony portable cd player to recognize a full cd vs 4-5 seconds for a newer 32x tdk cdr. The reason is the new cd's you see today are for the fastest burners out there. If you have a 12x or even a 16x burner, don't buy cdrs rated at faster burning speeds, you can hardly see your own reflection in them. As for the writing surface, these cdrs are the best ever, the finish is plain silver and the easiest to write on, the ink dries instantly.
I have used over a dozen different cdr's and burned over 3000 cds in the past two years and have had no failed burns or complaints with the quality of the sound with these cdrs. If you can not find them try TDK's CDR80K20CO (12x stack cds available at circuit city in a pack of 20 for 14.99).

I have learned a hard lesson in buying blank CD-R over the years. I first bought the blank aluminum surface cheap no-name CD-R at the computer fair. They were OK; they don't last as long as TDK, but burn well. Only 2-5 bad CD in a bundle of a 100 failed. I decided to upgrade the look of the blank CDR on my next purchase and got Sony. TDK and Yamaha were noticeably expensive. Sony's CDR(smooth pearl surface) are the absolute worst (read my review on for Sony CD-R) the CD will burn, but over time become unreadable and the surface started to fake.

My friend burned me a TDK's CD about 2-3 years ago and the CDR still look like new. So, I decide to give it a try. I read somewhere that TDR surface is a little more scratch proof then the other brands. I have no problem burning any of TDK. I have a Yamaha burner burning between 4-20speed and the TDK 48x has no problem. I have 3 generation of TDK, they all look a like very nice with smooth silver surface and a nice clean design. The surface at time is harder to write on then other cheaper CDR with a dryer marker, but I think it is because of high quality TDK surface. If you want to save a couple of cents per CDR and get cheaper CDR then it won't last as long as a TDK's CDR. Noticeable: Memorex is pretty good, and cheaper. Some HP is very nice with gold surface. Yamaha is TDK quality but pricier, Sony (pearl surface) is crap. Fiji is good and also cheaper. Looking at the surface you can tell which brand model is good. The gold surfaces are the best and pricier then the aluminum/silver surface. You will always get a better deal when you buy a 100-spindle over a 20pack. I first bought TDK 20 pack to see how good they were before I moved to up to a 100-spindle.

I just bought this CD to try it out and i must say it has very good quality audio and it stores my data with no problem at all. I use this as a large floppy disk because if my friends want something i can burn it to this cd and if they want something else again i can just delete what it had on it and give it to them. As for music. Well i can burn my songs to it and if i get tired of the music it had i can just delete it and put in new music ^_^ A must have for anyone with a CD-RW drive!

This is a great way to store data, music, etc. The writable surface makes it easy to write on and there is about 703 MB on each disk just in case you have data that is a little over 700 MB. The disks work great for me and can play in most stereo systems.

I have been using these tapes to record a favorite radio program after I discovered the excellent playback and duribility qualilities of this product when used to record from radio to cassette. The sound quality is fabulous over the entire spectrum. You can hear every little detail of both music and voice recordings. They have also displayed a high level of duribility, as I tend to play some of my favorite episodes on a nearly daily basis. I have yet to have a single tape dissipoint me. I have recommended TDK to my friends over all of the other brands I have tried. This is the brand that outdoes the compitition.

TDK's are the media I trust most to use in my HP drive. I have had lots of problems with other types of media during burning, but rarely(if ever) encounter problems with TDK's. These discs also play back in every single audio CD player I have. Buy these discs over Sony, Maxell, Memorex, and Imations whenever you can.

These are ver high quality printable cdr discs! What does printable mean, you ask? It means that you can actually print right onto the disc using your printer and an easy, special method. These discs can be writen to at 12x+ speeds and are top-notch in quality.

These CD-R's Work wonderfully. Its one of the first types I started using and have had no problems to report. All my CDs have been playing back with great sound quality and no drop outs. I have had problems before with certain songs cutting out and not burning or a somewhat scratchy noise dwelling in the background. An added bonus that is often overlooked is the fact that the front of the disk is clearly distinguishable over the back of the disk. On some cds you have to write all over the front part to remember which is which. Small as that might be its still an added bonus. Furthermore the front design of these disks is quite tasteful and displays no huge font brand name right in the middle. There is lots of room to write anything if needed. They come in slim jewel cases that are durable and protective. Overall a very good product that I recommend to anyone who burns a fair bit of Cds.
