As good as I expected
These CDs work as advertised. Basically you have 700MB for file space, or 80minutes of music. They're as good as any CD-Rs I've used to date. If you're still using a 24x burner these are for you. If you're faster, check out memorex's 48x 100 cd-r pack. Those are pretty good too.

Excellent Material!
I'm a newbie to burning CDs yet I haven't had a problem with these discs at all. File backup was clean and music reproduction was unrecognizable from the original issue. I recommend these, they will not disappoint.

Good, solid discs for music audio recordings
I've used lots of these discs problem free for both data and music recordings. Good choice for musicians who need inexpensive, reliable CD's to burn their own CD's. Three thumbs up.

Expensive but worth it!
These work the best, particularly if you have an HP Writer. In my ignorance, I didn't know that all CDRW's are not created equally. I agree with the previous reviewer!

The Best CD-RW Disks!
These HP CD - rewritable disks are the best in the market. They are thoroughly reliable, play in any CD-Rewritable drive, and can be burned-erased-and-reburned over and over again without degrading. If you have a CD Burner than you know that using, say, Adaptec's Direct CD with CD-RW disks like these is like having another floppy drive (only MUCH larger!!) on your computer. Its great for large files, backup, multimedia, etc. Another reviewer mentioned how sturdy these disks are - they have a rugged feel compared to some other brands. They come with their own jewel cases, too. You can't go wrong with these disks -even though the price is a little high - they're well worth it.

CDR MEDIA
These are top of the line CDR's. I've never used a CDR recorder that these discs didn't work in. A top buy as far as media for CDR's go.

    Pricey, but Reliable.
A bit pricey, especially for only 74 minutes per disc, but I've never had any problems such as the metal slide breaking on Memorex's discs.

    Only one disappointment
The discs are great, but the storage box the 10 came in was disappointing. The first ones I ordered came in a plastic storage box, these came in a cardboard one.

    Great blank MD's
Sony makes the best discs around. Other companies sell discs that our very flimmsy, but sony makes them very sturdy. Go with these sony discs and you won't be disappointed!

    Good Buy
I have recorded several CD's from albums with a Phillips recorder and they sound good. I have had a problem with recording more than 60 min. on a CD however. If I try to put more on a CD the recorder stops and indicates 74:57 min. and will not finalize. I'm not sure if it is the CD or the recorder. However, I have used Memorex without this problem.

Great Product but why are they backordered for so long?
These cdr's are great. No coasters yet. They've been backordered for some time. Come on guys, let's move it. If you can't get the three pack, your competition has them in ten and fifty packs. Wakeup call!

    The Best there is
I have tried them all,but TDK are the best.I have an original pioneer cd recorder and tdk still works the best.

Beware of Ritek Made TDK CD-Rs
I've always preferred TDK media over other brands but lately they've been selling CD-Rs made by RITEK in Taiwan which are quite ordinary and not as good as regular TDK made CD-Rs. I recommend looking for Made in USA TDK CD-Rs.

    TDK continues to impress me
This maybe the 10th TDK 100 pack of cd's I have boughten this past year, and it seems each time i buy it, it sounds better each time, TDK is known very well for its high-quality products, and I guarantee if you buy this product, there will not be a single defect in one of the cd's and you will enjoy using them, unlike the cheap one's that have problems each time you burn. I would give this a 10 stars but, Amazon.com only goes up to 5.

    great buy!!!!
A tterrific buy. I use them to back up OtherSignles files every night. I have not had one reject so far in my first pack.

    5 if Taiyo Yuden
If you receive a pack of these Fuji CDR that has "Made in Japan" on the wrapper - then you have Taiyo-Yuden CDR. But beware--if it says "Made in Taiwan"--you're getting junk. Be sure to check for this before you buy (if possible) or before you remove the wrapper.

Fuji recently changed manufacturers - judging by the change in packaging in the local stores.

There are really only 4 high-quality CDR makes I trust with my life:

    1. Taiyo-Yuden
    2. Verbatim (Datalife PLUS products only including "Vinyl CDR")
    3. Ricoh (products made in Japan)
    4. TDK

It is noteworthy that I have had absolutely no problems with the Imation brand, but I cannot highly recommend them, because they are manufactured by CMC, who makes notoriously cheap discs often marketed under other brands such as Memorex and K-Hypermedia.

That's not to say that many people have had luck burning to the cheaper media -- but I wouldn't want to be the one who tries to read the disk somewhere 6 months to several years down the line only to come up with a read error! This has happened to me before and I won't be fooled again...

    Taiyo Yuden
Once again, the superior performance and quality of Taiyo Yuden.

If you're wondering what Taiyo Yuden is, it's the manufacturer of the FujiFilm CD-R brand. I consider them to be the #1 manufacturer because of the supremely low C1 error rates, and compatability with all sorts of players.

All Memorex discs are made in low quality factories, which 80-85% of the time produce coasters in half of the spindle.

Some low quality factories include: CMC Magnetics, Lead Data, RiTEK, Prodisc, Princo

Most brands such as Memorex, Sony, Imation, Verbatim, they are all made in these factories.

Maxell 50 Pack CD-R Audio is Taiyo Yuden, I buy them at Sam's Club for 12.88, which is cheap considering the quality of the media. They also like my LITE-ON 52X external, FujiFilm's are the exact same thing, so I suggest you buy them.

Fuji Taiyo Yudens...thumbs up all the way
...these things surpass any memorex brand SO much it isn't even worth discussing. Fuji is already a great leader in film, why not press on with digital media? I've used 50 packs, but the 30 pack should be no different. I remember using these for trading live shows of bands (The Smashing Pumpkins, in general). It gives me such nostalgia, and I only bought Fuji because many traders recommended them, and stores often had mail in rebates for them so you could get them for basically nothing.

The point of this review is, these are quite frankly the best darn CD-Rs that I have ever used. And I mean I've gone through every brand in the book...Imation, Memorex, PNY, Sony, TDK, Durabrand, Teon (yuk), Philips, Maxell, No-name brands...EVERYTHING. Believe me, I've definately had enough time to try out almost every CD-R (a full summer of trading, with over 1000 CDs of live material), and I still stand strong that these Fuji's are the best that there are. If you want any recommendations besides Fuji though, Memorex is also a good brand, as well as TDK (a leader in digital recording technology), and Imation is sometimes good as well, but they have quality control issues that once in awhile you get a few lemons out of a pack.

Bottom Line : For a trusting and reliable brand of media, GET FUJI-FILM!!!

      Annoyed
I have burned a few discs and so far I'm happy with the quality of the CD. I've listened to about 5 random songs on 3 discs and am happy. However, I am annoyed by the paper insert in the CD case. For some reason Memorex has decided to cut a full corner off of the insert, effectively reducing the amount of space you have to write down info about what's on the disc. WHY? I must ask why this decision was made? I can't see any utility in it and it's really annoying and weird. I don't like it at all. I would rate these discs a 5 but for that and I am indifferent to the different colors.

      Back for More
I really like the slim case and the colors. They make great gifts and the recording quality is very good.

      Very good product
Have ordered these three times now and find them as good as any I've used. I particularly like the fact that the jewel cases are slim yet sturdy enough to hold together. Of course the quality of sound is even more important and I have been very satisfied in that as well. Less important but also plusses - the price is reasonable and the matching colored disks and cases are pretty neat looking.

      Audio recording
A friend of mine recommended these for burning audio cd's on the computer. He has burned over 200 cd's and says he has never had a problem. The only thing that has me stumped is the other Maxell blank cd-r's amazon has for much more money.

      No problems here.
I find these cds to be better than the memorex, and I like the fact that they come with individual jewel cases. When you get a spindle of 50 or 100, it becomes a real pain in the rear end to keep track of them all. I didn't have any dud cds out of the ones I got.

      Never had a problem...
I've used these CD's for data & audio, and i've never had a problem... Someone wrote to check for some kind of mark if you had a Phillips, i have a Phillips and my CD's doesn't have that mark, and they've worked fine...

      Slow burn?
According to the verbatim web site, these are rated to burn at 16x -- not the common 48x. Sometimes you have to move slow to be cool.

      verbatim retro vinyl cd-r...great!
My brother had a vintage 1940's wedding last weekend & gave these CD-Rs (with the couple's swing dancing songs recorded onto them) as wedding favors. What a hit! These are the best thing to hit the market since computer CD burning software! They have to be recorded on a computer but, other than that, they are every bit as good as all the other CD-Rs. Buy a bunch and burn all that "old 45-rpm" music you have lying around! Too cool!

      Great for Audio!
I don't know what that fella was talking about that "this product doesn't work for audio"... this product works GREAT for audio. I burn these vinyl looking CDRs and play them in my cd walkman, in my van, in my home dvd player, and in my computer; and they play everywhere just fine. In fact, of the about 50 of these I have made so far, I have yet to make a coaster. Also check out the labels and the blue labeler thingy that Verbatim make, very cool.

      Imation respects its clients.
I bought 2 spindles. Had a problem with one of the spindles. It peeled off after awhile. I sent an e-mail to Imation and they promptly sent me a new spindle. It is always good to deal with a company that respects its clients. I will surely keep buying Imation's products!

Reliable for all of my copying/burning needs
I'm now on my third Imation spindle and so far, none of my CD-Rs have failed. They're very reliable for multi-purpose use -- burning audio CDs, making backup copies of software and personal files, and storing home videos. I've had them now for three years and not a single one has failed to read. I'm not sure about these reviews from people who are having trouble reading a CD after a couple years. Imation has a lifetime warranty to protect you against normal wear and tear. As long as you are storing these CD-Rs in the spindle case or individual jewel cases, you are going to be okay. CD-Rs by their nature are more sensitive to oils, heat and scratches than a standard audio CD.

I turned a couple of my discs into coasters when my computer crashed while burning copies, but I doubt it was due to the discs themselves. Another reason I'd take Imation over another brand is that they give four lines of space (the entire bottom half) to customize your discs. Memorex and TDK aren't as generous with the label space.

      Excellent quality
I've burned a little over 100 of these discs and never had a problem with the media. I've had a few coasters due to my mistakes.

I have some 650MB 4X media from about 3 years ago which are all still readable.
