Maxell UR-90 cassette
The Maxell UR-90 is a normal bias cassette (a popular comparable model would be the TDK D-90). Given the limited dynamic range and frequency range of these cassettes, they are not a good choice for hi-fi recording. For high-quality recordings, go with the Maxell XL-II or TDK SA series cassettes, or, if even greater performance is required, step up to the XL-IIS or SA-X. The Maxell UR-90 is well-suited to "workhorse" applications such as recordings made for use in a standard car deck, walkman, or cheap home stereo deck. Not only do these devices have limited capabilities in terms of both dynamic range and frequency range, but they are also much more prone to "eating" tapes, which is a risk that is best undertaken by a duplicate copy recorded on an affordable UR cassette. I had several treasured master recordings ruined by my car deck before I learned that using the high-bias tapes were simply not worth it for such applications. The UR-90 is perfect for everyday duties, and is also good for voice transcriptions since the speaking voice resides squarely in the midrange of the audible frequency spectrum and will not benefit substantially from the use of high-bias cassettes. I am a college student and the UR-90 is great for recording professor's lectures (especially since I cannot afford a micro-cassette recorder). The 90-minute length is also beneficial, since longer cassettes put more strain on tape motors and also break more easily due to the fact that they have thinner ribbon on the reel to yield the extra length. Thus, in conclusion, I'd give the Maxell UR-90 five stars for value, and an overall rating of 3 stars, since it is not suited to high-quality recording but performs its intended purpose well.

Great Tapes
I use these tapes for all my recording. They are great all around tapes. The sound quality is very good, and they are not too expensive!

    All the pretty colo---skips---rs
I bought them because they look cool especially the black CDR, but this CDR is one of the below average CDRs I've tried. I burn Mp3 songs and play them on my discman. When I go outside for a walk, my music cd tends to skip alot. After finishing the whole box, I switched back TDK or Sony.

    Sound, Quality, and Fashionable Colors
These CD-R's sound like they are the original music recordings. I bought them because of the cool jewel cases and neon colors and when I put them into my Home Super Audio Recorder System to record from 1 CD to the other it sounded unbelievable. I highly recommend them for any music lover who likes to record their favorite songs into a blank. I plan on buying more.

    Great very small USB Drive
Bought Sandisk cruzer micro sometime back.Looks very small and rugged though slow. Slowness may be due to the fact I am using USB 1.1 not 2.0 but I can not say for sure.
I shall give excellent rating on compactness. It fits where ports are very close (where bigger drive may be an issue). I chose this over cruzer mini so that it can fit on PCs where ports and keyboard/mouse cables etc are very close and I think I am right.
I found that drive becomes warm after prolonged use but I do not see any issue there. I wish that writing may be faster even on USB 1.1

Great size, nice design, works well too!
Yet another entry into the increasingly crowded flash drive market, Sandisk's Cruzer Micro sets itself apart with a great form factor and nice design. It's almost half the size of my Cruzer Mini, which was run over by a car and replaced by this. Instead of a green LED, you get a nicer-looking blue one. The body is plastic like on the mini, and feels really solid.

Write speeds are decent on a USB 2 machine, and livable on a USB 1.1 machine due to the slow interface. You won't get anywhere near the theoretical 480 megabits per second (60 megabytes per second) USB 2 peak data rate due to limitations of the memory controller and memory chips themselves. In testing, I get a little over 3 megabytes/second of read/write speed on a USB 2 equipped computer, and about 600-700 kilobytes/second on a USB 1.1 machine.

The Cruzer Micro comes with about 249MB free out of the box, which is a relief coming from Memory Sticks with 70+ MB missing due to formatting and copy-protection space.

You can also use the Cruzer Micro as the memory portion of an mp3 player that Sandisk is releasing, but seeing as it isn't available anywhere yet, the jury is still out on this added feature.

Why did I dock it one star? In use on USB 2 machines, the Cruzer Micro heats up quite a bit with extended read/writes with large files. This was noticed on both a Sony VAIO laptop and a Dell Dimension Desktop. On USB 1.1 machines the Cruzer did not heat up. It wasn't quite hot, more uncomfortably warm. I always worry since heat is the enemy of many electronics, and other flash drives I've used don't heat up to quite this degree. I did an exchange, and the replacement did the same thing. My Cruzer Mini also did this, so I'm not sure what to make of it.

Aside from the small heat issue, it's a tiny flash drive that looks great and works well. With prices dropping all the time on flash drives, the convienence of transporting your files around is now very affordable. Highly recommended.

      For data only
u can't write audio cd's, so this is problem
westside, outlaw, thug immortal, makaveli the don, killuminati to your body

      It's a CDR
I bought this to get my order over a minimum ammount. It worked. It looks cool, and it came with a slim case. I personally would never buy a single pack, because bulk is a lot cheaper. Data only? Not really, it's fine for anything. But companies want to charge you more for "audio" cds. :)

        Ultra Speed required
Beware that "this media can only be recorded with CD-RW drives bearing an Ultra Speed logo". When it says 16X-24X, it really means your CD-RW drive cannot be slower than 16X. The media looks well made, unfortunately I couldn't get it to work with my Lite-On LTR-40125S (12X CD-RW).

Amazon.com sells a Verbatim CDRW DATALIFEPLUS 4X-12X (1-Pack) if you don't have the latest CD-RW drive.

          Finally, a 700 Mb CD-RW that works!
No problems in writing 80 min audio CD-RWs, 700 Mb data or 700Mb mp3 discs. I've tried other brands and have had problems (and lots of wasted time). These work everytime with my two burners, which are different makes. I am very glad to find something reliable in this format!

The labels look cool but only when you print one (there are two per page). When you go to print the second one, it gets stuck in the printer.

Definitely where home card makers should start
While this product comes in more interesting paper types--and heavier card stock--this is clearly the preferred card style for home card makers. Vastly superior to their quarter-fold counterparts, half-fold cards are what you'll usually find commercially in card shops. Though they do fold to a somewhat larger-than Hallmark (tm) size, the after-folding allignment is dead-on, and you have more room to express yourself. If approximating the look and feel of a 'real' store-bought card is important to you, therefore, go with this format. However, I'm partial to more textured card-stocks--Hewlett Packard makes an excellent 'felt' ivory--so I have to drop the rating for this one down a star for its white blandness.
