WARNING: VERBATIM CD-RWs WILL NOT PLAY IN CAR STEREO!!!
I bought a set of Verbatim 700MB Cool Color CD-RWs at my local computer store and was surprised to find that they do not play in my car stereo or home theather system. They will only play on a computer, and why do you need to burn a CD for that when you can listen to MP3 files? The rep at the computer store confirmed that some CD-RWs aren't compatible with regular stereos. Luckily, the computer store has agreed to return them but don't make the same mistake...

BEWARE! Will not work in many burners!
Amazon doesn't state this, but this will NOT work in any burners which are slower than 16x burn speed! I ended up eating eight bucks on shipping as a result. I'm sure the discs are quality, Verbatim's never let me down, but buyer beware -- don't get these if you don't have a high speed drive, they'll be useless to you!

    Ummmm....
Very few non computer CD players play CD-RWs... please ignore the "WARNING: VERBATIM CD-RWs WILL NOT PLAY IN CAR STEREO!!!" review, because this is not a problem with Verbatim CD-RWs, because it's their CD player that's not compatable. If you have a CD player that reads CD-RWs, this product WILL still work. []

      Unreliable company.
You can never rely on Verbatim for quality disks. Verbatim does NOT make their own disks. they constantly change manufacturers. How good the disks are depend on who really makes them. the disks made by RICOH are excellent but you see more of them made by MCC and other companies. I have a spindle of 30 of the MCC and over half have given bad burns. the Sony DVD+R made by RICOH gives perfect burns using the same methods. for a good quality media at a decent price Ritek is really the way to go.

      Expensive Coasters
I've been getting 2 or 3 "cyclic redundancy" errors on nearly every DVD+R used for data so far (6 of 7). No software detected errors on video DVD but 2 or 3 very loud shots of static in the movie lead me to suspect similar problem. Have had 100% success, no data errors at all, on Memorex and HP media - at twice the cost, though.

      Great product for DVD burners!
I use these DVD+'s for a wedding videography business I'm in. I have used over half my original spindle of these discs, and have not had any problems for any of my customers. These DVDs burn easily (albeit 2.4x), plus you can print directly on them! With my Epson Stylus Photo 900, you can run the DVD through the printer and print text, photos, or anything else directly on the DVD. Makes the videos I product very professional. They're not as sharp as a Disney DVD, but they look great for what I need.
I've never had any coasters with these discs...I'm using a HP 300e DVD burner, by the way.

      Avoid Memorex CD-RW
This rewiew is for rewriteable media only!

These CD-RWs are very low quality. I have been using them for a year now and they are bad after erasing them 2-3 times on AVERAGE.

There must be a reason why Fujifilm only produces 650MB and does not offer 700MB disks with phase-change medium! (Fuji disks are my most dependable CD-R medium.)

I have used them with multiple CD-writers, packet writing, UDF, digital-camera, the pocket version 210MB/24min and the full version 700MB/80min. The pocket version for my digital camera (CD-MAVICA) is loosing pictures (read-errors) after 2x erasing the discs. Generally I cannot rewrite the discs or erase them with cdrecord after few times (MEDIUM ERROR).

Their ATIP information is as follows (so that you can distinguish them from other 'brands' that use the same discs):

      Manuf. index: 40
      Manufacturer: INFODISC Technology Co., Ltd.
      Disk type: Phase change
      ATIP info from disk:
      Indicated writing power: 5
      Reference speed: 2
      Is not unrestricted
      Is erasable
      1T speed low: 0 (reserved val 0) 1T speed high: 4
      2T speed low: 8 2T speed high: 0 (reserved val 10)
      power mult factor: 4 6
      recommended erase/write power: 5
      A1 values: 02 4C D0
      A2 values: 4A D8 5A

      Some of the Best
I have used cd-rw's for several years now. These are some of the most reliable I have used. But then you should expect nothing less from a company like Memorex.

      Dependable product
I have been using memorex blank media for a long time. They are the most dependable on the market. I have yet to come across a cd that was bad.

      Poor Results with HP CD-Writer+
I bought a spindle of 100 of these and have had nothing but trouble with them on my HP CD-Writer+ 8200 series CD writer. About half the time I write them at 1X speed I get a good recording. At 2x and 4x speeds the resulting CDs are useless for me.

The HP media seems to work for me under all conditions, so I blame the Imation CD-Rs.

      A mixed bag
These cd's aren't cheap for CD-R's, and their reliability is not that great. I have a HP CD writer plus and when making three copies of a cd, only one was without static noise and skipping. The sound quality is excellent, though.

      Awesome Quality!
I got a 5-pack of these cd-r's & There great! I Burned 5 cd's All of Them Came Sounding just as good if not better than the master. I'll be buying more of these cd-'r in the near future!

      Cruzer Mini Series a Failure
Total corruption in under 20 uses. Tech support wants you to buy their recovery software for $40 which "may or may not" work. I've found bad reviews for this item all over the web, and SanDisk does not address the issues.

There are people that have had a good run with these, but there is a very large unrecoverable failure rate. If you care about your data, do yourself a favor and check out another company for this type of hardware. I've had better luck with Iomega Zip drives, and that's REALLY SAYING SOMETHING.

      Very Convenient, But...
I've had some problems with data becoming corrupted in my 128MB version. Whether this is due to the components found within the flash drive or whether it's being exposed to a strong magnetic field or radiation from sun storms that're doing it is beyond me. But a device like this needs to be ultra reliable to be effective. Mine hasn't given me any problems lately.

      Can't live without it!
I use this Cruzer constantly. It truly makes my files mobile and gives super flexibility. No signs whatsoever of daat corruption.

Looks beautiful until you try to FOLD it
okay, so I bought this paper to produce tri-fold brochures. I will agree with the other reviewer that it prints beautifully. BUT - as soon as you try to fold it, it cracks and the top glossy layer of paper peels away like a bad sunburn. I WOULD NOT BUY THIS PAPER AGAIN. I have tried it in every possible direction in my printer but it is just very poorly scored. Do yourself a favor - buy regular glossy paper for one third the cost and fold it yourself - I guarantee it will work better.

        Professional Quality
I just started my own business so I have a very tight budget. I used this paper on my Canon BJC-2000 using the highest quality print mode and my brochures look like they came from a professional printers. Slow on my printer but the quality is beautiful. The paper is so sleek and classy.

        Iomega Zip 250 PCMCIA Adapter

WARNING! DOES NOT WORK WITH SOME ZIP 250 DRIVES
I purchased this cable and also a Zip 250 USB Drive just like the product packaging said. However when I got it home my Zip 250 drive did NOT have the proper connector. I don't know which ones do. So, BEWARE!

Can a PCMCIA connection be better than USB?
I've used a Iomega 250 USB zip drive for sometime and recently added the PCMCIA to USB adapter designed for it. It is the best thing I did because as wonderful as USB hot plug capability is, not needing A/C power for the Zip drive is better. This adapter is powered by the laptop, making the Zip 250 USB drive just as portable as the laptop. Even better, the electricity needed to power the Zip drive is minimal and the laptop batteries last almost as long as they did without the Zip 250 drive attached.

          Iomega Zip250 Firewire Adapter

            Firewire cardbus users be warned
this adapter will not work with the firewire cardbus cards made for the powerbook G3 series. Iomega tech supports says that they do not support third party devices. I would not recommend this product unless you have built-in firewire ports on your computer

Hedge your bets against technological inflation
It's surprising that this amazingly useful device hasn't yet caught on. Everyone is so wrapped up in the wonders of USB that they've not yet been distracted by the even faster standard just offstage. Firewire (also known by its Sony trademark, "iLink", or the generic PC term, "IEEE 1394") offers speeds that shame USB, and give up none of USB's famed ease-of-use.

What this device does, specifically, is turn your USB 250mb Zip Drive into its faster SCSI sibling. Until this arrived, you had to trade in the portability and cross-platform performance of a USB drive if you wanted a truly fast experience. Now, though, you can have both.

Is it worth paying the money for? Probably not, if all you keep on ZIP disks are backup files, text and simple graphics. But if you regularly use your Zip with files larger than 10mb, it's worth plunging into the pocketbook for. Even if one of your target PCs doesn't have a Firewire port (and many PCs still don't), you can simply remove the adaptor and temporarily go back to USB. Soon, Firewire will be the standard USB is now, so this purchase is like an insurance policy against technological change. Get it, and you'll have the flexibility to have the fastest possible connection on any computer you might encounter--at least until they come up with something faster than Firewire.

              horrible...
these MDs are the horrible ones on earth. as someone else said, it gives bunch of errors. this product of memorex's is just cheap. in my opinion, they make horrible products. if you want to be sure on buying MDs, just get sony and tdk ones. i prefer the tdk's lucir and music jacks. good luck!

              Cheap But Problematic
I ordered two boxes of 10, why? Because they're cheap. However, I'm going to return one box. Why? Becuse these are the first md's I've used that have given me problems: disc error, non-sync recording. The problems with a particular disk come and go. I haven't had any total failures. Still, no other MD brand I've used has given me problems like these Memorex 80's.

              Good Product but...
Good product with a reasonable price but don't hold your breath waiting for them. When they are in stock, it's not too bad but they don't get stock in very often. I have been waiting almost two months for the rest of my order. Product is a 4 maybe 5 star. Delivery ON THIS PRODUCT ONLY (Others have been very good) is a 1 or 2 star.
