As of July 6, 2004, these were the RICOHJPN-W11 DVD+RWs (Note that almost all distributors of DVD and CD recordable blanks, such as Memorex, can and do change their suppliers at any time, so there are no guarantees as to which factory your disks will come from.)

The RICOHJPN-W11 DVD+RWs are high quality media that work well in the NEC ND-2500A burner, and many others as well. You can check whether they are a good choice for your burner by going to cdfreaks dot com or other similar cd/dvd enthusiast sites.

I purchased several boxes of the Memorex Mini DVD-R also the Mini DVD-RW.
I use them for smaller projects on my DVD burner also in my cam camera and am 100% satisfied with the results of them both.

this is the best dvd+rw 4x I have ever bought. I tried another "big" brand and got scratched discs with the holder in middle broken on many of them. with amazon, you get your guarantee, and always a great product. I am on my second spindle of memorex and not a scratch in sight. try it, you'll like it!

Check your DVD burner/drive, plus your DVD player for DVD+R compatibility before purchasing. If compatible, then purchase this DVD media. Memorex does an outstanding job of quality control, in my opinion. After buying over 50 blank DVD+R discs (which I use with a Sony DRX-510UL external DVD burner unit on Windows XP), I have no issues. Every disc was perfect; no coasters.

DVD+R permits one recording. If the disc screws up during the recording, that's it. It's an expensive coaster for your coffee table. If you need to erase/rewrite data onto your DVD, use DVD+RW discs by Memorex. (Also highly recommended.) Just be sure to check if your DVD drives can handle the format/media. (The manufacturers should have compatibility listings on their respective web sites.)

Three recommendations:

1.) Buy bulk to save $$. 10 discs is a good start; consider a bigger purchase to save $$ (if you need the discs).

2.) If you're confused about the DVD+R format (and other formats), do some research online to understand the pros and cons of DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R and DVD-RW.

3.) Again, double-check that your DVD burner drive(s) *and* your DVD player(s) are compatible with the DVD+R format. Most new DVD players can handle DVD+R.

Memorex makes a great product with these DVD+R discs.

I have two of these memorex jumps "thumbdrive." Both have worked fine and taken a lot of abuse as well! No problems with pc or mac, usb 1, 1.21 and 2.0. you don't need any drivers, just stick it in the usb and it comes up as a drive adn you can drag and drop.

I have had problems with cuprrupted files on cheaper brands but never on memorex. Memorex support is great, I had one drive I crushed in a door (my fault and a strong enough impact to also destroy may car alarm gizmo) and they sent me a new one! I have had other brands (ironically the lexar "sport"), where the keychain holder broke, memorex is actually more study than most)

Memorex jumps are also true usb 2.0 and there are a few cheap ones that aren't.

These CDR's are pretty good. About 90% of them work fine when making data cd's. They might not be so good for music cd's but you should try the 74 min ones since they work out better than these for music.

I received 2 10-packs for Christmas and used them all in no time. The sound quality is great. I really can't tell the difference between these and the originals. They are large enough to fit at least 15-18 music tracks per disk, which is also great. I don't think I will use another kind of CD-R. Recommended.

I like the 12 speed and 700 megs on these re-writables. I've never had any problems with them.

These Memorex jewel cases have the clear cd mounting tray that allows you to view graphics/photos thru it instead of the regular black plastic tray. The downside to the clear tray is that it is more prone to break when removed for replacement as opposed to the standard black plastic tray which is made of a heavier plastic. Also, the clear jewel cases (with clear trays) are very fragile and often the center mounting rings will be broken during shipping, so my advice would be to shake the box to see if any pieces are rattling around and if so try another box of jewel cases. I've had to return several to my local Target Store because of damaged center mounting rings. Other than that the Memorex clear cd cases are excellent replacements.
