different than the picture
Just a warning... the case is different than the one pictured and the shipping cost is as much as the case. The case I recieved did not have a shoulder strap but rather it has a loop on it that you could thread onto your belt. I do like the case, it seems to protect the camera well. My Canon A70 Camera fits great into the case. I just wish I had the shoulder strap.

Chubby padded case
The case is meant for PowerShot A40/A20/A10. (I bought this hoping it would work with my Powershot S330. However, it's a little bigger than I'd like it to be. It's so large I can fit the USB connector in the base.) The zipper flap over both the large and small pockets is a little irritating. The metallic gray synthetic material with black trim gives it a slick look. The light padding appears adequate for "throwing" in your bag. Details are as follows:

Deluxe Soft Compact Case PSC20 for
PowerShot A40, A20 and A10 cameras.

Canon USA, Inc / Item no. 7137A001(AA)
- Synthetic material (not leather)
- Belt loop
- velcro flap
- Large padded zippered pocket for Powershot Camers.
- Small zippered pocket for extra batteries and memory card
- Includes shoulder strap.
- Approximate Dimensions: 3" x 4.75" x 1.75"* (*2.5" including smaller pocket)
- Color: Metallic gray, black trim, black shoulder strap

Fast Shipping
THe shipping was really fast-so fast I didn't have time to cancel the order after I realized the shipping cost more than the case. I should have read the reviews before ordering. Don't know if the case works or not as the camera hasn't been sent yet.

Perfect - Almost
I purchased this for my Canon S30 (great camera BTW). The bag fits it well, it's compact, has decent padding and has just enough storage. I store a spare battery in the same compartment as the camera and I store my charger in the front pocket. This way I have everything in the bag.

OK. Well, what am I dissatisfied with? One minor flaw, the shoulder strap is sewn in. You can not detach it, you are stuck with it dangling around even if you want to carry it in your hand. It would have been nice to have a detachable strap. After-the-fact, I noticed just about all other camera bags have a detachable strap, now I know why.

I tried to use it as a waist belt (as another reviewer had mentioned). Initially it sounded like a good idea, but there were a couple of problems using it like that. To put it on or take it off your waist, you need to loosen/tighten the strap and pull it over your head. If it had a buckle (or a detachable strap), this would not be a problem. Also, the stap is sewn up and down, so there is a twist in the strap when you put it around your waist. This was somewhat uncomfortable. This waist strap "feature" worked for someone else and it may work for you. But, I would never use it that way.

All-in-all a good buy.

A very good product and a highly recommended buy
I bought this camera bag for my Canon S40. Looking around I ended up with this bag since it combines good quality and price. It is a very small and nice bag, which is easy to bring whenever you need your camera.

Most days, when I don't use my camera, I store everything in the camera bag, e.g., camera, extra battery, battery charger, 2 flash cards and a plug converter. All fits, which is nice, keeping all accessories stored at one place. The battery charger and one of the flash cards are stored in the front pocket and in the big pocket I store the rest. However, whenever I use the camera, I remove the battery charger and the plug converter from the camera bag, so that I can store the extra battery and the flash cards in the front pocket. This way, I will only have the camera in the big pocket so nothing accidentally drops out when I grab the camera to capture that moment.

I have used the camera bag for a 10-day vacation in which I visited crowded places such as Seaworld and Magic Mountain. These days I used the camera bag as a "waist bag" by tightening the strap around my waist just enough to keep the camera bag comfortably attached. This way I could have easy access to the camera and safely bring the camera bag in the roller coasters. Furthermore, this way of wearing makes it really hard for a potential thief to steal it. Moreover, the camera bag can comfortably be worn as it was supposed to do thanks to the easy-to-adjust strap. However, this strap is not detachable but I don't see why anyone would want to detach it.

Overall, a very good product and a highly recommended buy.

Great for HP Photosmarts
Well aside from what has been said, I will say the velcro part could be annoying, however it is big and secure enough to make you feel safe for the avg user who wants just a camera and nothing more professional, has extra storage for batteries and your usb cable. All in all, better then nothing and good for the value. You wont feel the need to get rid of it anytime soon.

Very good bag for my little Fuji camera
Well, like my title says, this bag was perfect for my little Fuji digital. I'm able to throw in 2 sets of batteries in the side pockets, carry my wallet and cell in the front zip, the camera in the middle, and an extra memory card.

My only complaint about this bag is the lack of stability in the middle. Unless your very careful, with a lot of bumping, I think the camera would get damaged = not a good thing. But overall, if you need a quick, down and dirty bag, this is pretty darn good. For the money, it's worth it.

Does the job
I bought this bag for my Canon Sureshot 85. The camera and 3-4 rolls of film fit into the bag well and it is easy to carry.

Case Logic CB3
I love this case! It is so compact and holds more than just your camera! I think that if you have trouble keeping track of all the separate bags of little things, you really should think of this camera case as a solution!

The perfect size for my Digital Camera Needs
The Camera Bag turned out to be absolutely perfect for my needs. My Olympus D-550 camera fits perfectly into the pouch. The pouch has a padded removable velcro divider. My Kodak Max K2000 battery charger fits great on the other side (at an angle because its width is larger than the pouch. On the other side is my camera with product manual. They fit just right such that they fit snug and cannot move around. In the front zippered pouch my memory cards fit perfectly into their special slots and the batteries fit in their respective elastic straps also. There was even room above the batteries for another 4 batteries in an additional small mesh pouch. In the zippered front pouch I was able to put some cables in loosly and the thing still closed nicely. The top of the bag velcros shut and then there is a buckle to snap in. This thing is built tough with a nice canvas like waterproof material. On the outside there is another mesh pouch on the side that my USB cable fit right into. On the back is a velcro strap that could be used to attach to a belt. I love the bag and would recommend it for all your small digital camera needs!

There could not be a better little digicam bag!
I am an amateur film photographer who has switched to digital for my snapshots. I keep a Fuji FinePix 2650 in this bag. Like I expect from a 35mm SLR camera bag, it is roomy and sturdy. It can carry the camera and then some. The front features elastic bands that will grip 4 AA batteries nicely and space for 3 memory cards. There also is a small mesh pouch. All this is protected by a zippered flap that comes up and buckles to the top. The bag closes nicely keeping your equipment clean. The bag is well padded and very sturdy. The main pouch has padded divider fastened with velcro like you would see in a good SLR bag.

I would not let the other comments about the buckle discourage you from getting this bag. It takes some getting used to since it is so small and stiff at first, but it is quite secure. And you don't need to bother with it much since the front flap zippers up and the top flap fits snugly and has a bit of velcro to hold it down even without the buckle. I did read one review that said the buckle is "upside-down." This orientation is actually how many good camera bags are. They make opening it one-handed much easier since the buckle will open and fall out of the way rather than dangle off the top flap.

I can't say much more. This is the best little digicam bag I have yet to see. The most impressive thing is how well it is built. I haven't given it the Samsonite gorilla test, but I did have it get kicked around a bit under the seats at a baseball game. No damage to the bag or contents ... and the mustard came right off!

    Incredible Digicam Bag
If you are looking for a camera bag, this one is it! We got ours nice and cheap at amazon.com. It has separate hand and shoulder straps, several interior pouches, including two that are set up to store 4 AA batteries. It offers plenty of protection so that stuff doesn't spill out--the bag's cover is fastened with a velcro strap, and over this you can fasten a buckle that adds a second layer of protection. The main inside compartment (where you will store the digicam) comes with a moveable/removeable boundary that you can adjust so that however wide your digicam is, it will not bounce around. These guys thought of everything! This bag is well built, with what looks like very strong, water-resistant materials, and should last a very long time!

    Disappointing camera from Minolta
I was in awe with this cute little camera because of it's size which seemed to amaze me, especially because it had a 3X zoom without any protruding lenses, minolta's worth-praising technology. I thought this was going to be every amateur photographers dream come true, as it is extremely mobile.

After purchasing this camera and seeing the quality of pictures, I now realize what the price of this camera is all about. To say the least, the picture quality is pathetic. When I compare this to my already existing canon powershot, the difference is strikingly clear. Quality of pictues in this camera would be like those of a web camera, if you excuse the size.

I am terribly disappoited. The photo looks totally granulated with lot of disturbance. The color is made up and not natural. I would have forgiven the cheap little camera had I taken photos in no-so-good lighting condition. But as the lighting was good, the performance should have been better.

After checking out so many cameras, I belive there is nothing better than canon powershot. If you have some extra bucks, it's worth spending on a canon. The picture quality is amazing.

You can read my review for Canon powershot 4 mega pixel digital camera. This doesn't come even close to that.

You can waste your money on this one only if you need to be able to carry a camera around in your shirt pocket and be least bothered about quality photos. I wonder how many of us would do that.

Konica Minolta DiMAGE Xg Digital Camera
    Strengths:
Compact and lightweight camera that allows photographers on the go to take high-quality pictures in any place and at anytime
    Weaknesses:
No A/V output and slide show function. This is probably the biggest loss for the XG.
    Summary:
The ultra slim Minolta DiMAGE Xg packs a 3x optical zoom and 3.2-megapixel resolution into a body that is just 20mm thick! Though the DiMAGE Xg is almost identical to its predecessor, the DiMAGE Xt, it has a number of fundamental difference, including a faster start-up time (a speedy 0.8 seconds), a larger 1.6" LCD monitor, and a fast, 30-frame-per-second movie mode for high quality movies. Much longer battery life - 240 minute playback versus 120 for the XT. Specific AE program modes for sports, portraits, landscapes, sunsets, night scenes. Sports means faster shutter to catch action and so on. Multi-frame in one frame capture for action sequences (9 pics in less than three seconds). Manual settings mode somewhat like the Canon S230. One switch setting chooses the auto settings including the 5 AE modes. The other lets you choose color mode, ISO sensitivity, metering, and white balance. PictBridge printing support. In camera picture editing functions such as cropping and reframing pictures. In camera cut/paste function allows you to place an image within another image. This is one fantastic camera!

    Xg is a Winner
By far the best ultra compact, truly shirt pocket digital camera with the right combination of features. Not the best in the world, but real close. The start up time is less than a second and your ready to shoot. One mode for fully automatic with preprogrammed settings for portait, sport, sunset, night, and landscape. Another mode to have more granular control of sensitivity, white balance, and exposure.

Prints great 4x6 pictures on glossy paper, which is 99.9% of the type of pictures I will print. Comes with a 16MB SD card allowing continuous shooting at 1.5 frames per second.

There is a 3x optical zoom that is non-protruding. Great technology with great pictures. I haven't taken a camera on trips due to their bulkiness. Yes, I'm lazy. The Xg is easily kept in a shirt pocket readily available when the urge strikes.

Very pleased with this kit! It's a great deal!
I have the Nikon Coolpix 4500 camera and I recently purchased this accessory kit for it. I have nothing but good things to say about it!!!
-The camera case is of very high quality and not only does it fit the 4500 camera, but there's also room for other accessories, such as the AC adapter, compact flash cards, etc.
-The AC adapter is very useful because it does NOT come with the camera (at least not with the Coolpix 4500).
-The compact flash card reader, lens cloth, and card wallet are other nice things to have.

If all of these items were purchased separately, the grand total of all of them combined would have been well over [$]. Thus, this kit is a very good buy and very complementary to the camera.

After I had purchased this kit, I read the reviews by other users and they seem to be misleading. But once I received the kit, I was pleasantly surprised by its contents and I discounted the misleading information supplied by some of the reviews.

Amazon, where are your product descriptions?
Yes, this is an accessory kit for the Nikon Coolpix cameras but give us the particulars, please! I ordered this after making a guess from the picture as to what it contained. The kit comes with a CompactFlash card reader (plus software), a black camera case made of PVC/vinyl (it's soft and flexible, though), a nice little "wallet" for extra memory cards, a lens cloth, and an AC adapter. A nice kit for at a good price! I'm glad I took a chance.

Geat accessory kit for my 5700 camera
The case fits very well with my Coolpix 5700 camera. The EH-52 AC adaptor's output rating on the product label is 8.4V/1.3A Max, which is the same as the EH-53. I tested it, worked fine. My PC running Window XP detected the memory card reader automatically and showed it as another removable drive. Transfering pictures without any problem. I can also use the card reader like a USB drive with the Flash memory plugged in.

Good small bag for the 5700
If you're looking for a good snug fitting case for the 5700, this is it. It's a tight fit, but holds the camera and strap. There is room in the top inside pocket for a card or other item and the front pocket has quite a bit of room for a extra battery or other misc accessories. Belt loop seems robust and the rings for the strap is sewn into a nylon strap that goes all the way around the bottom. This is perfect for when I just want to carry the camera and move fast and light.
As to the turning on in the case. I suppose this would be a problem if I didn't consistantly turn the camera off and the switch to review. If the camera is switched on accidently, the lens won't extend. Simple solution that one should always use regardless of the case.
I imagine this will fit the new Nikon 8700 as well.
There seems to be two models of this case floating around out there. (especially on ebay) The one pictured above is the best. The other seems to be lacking some pockets and features.

    nikon coolpix 5700 case
Great camera case for nikon 5700 made for and fits well.Does not carry much gear but why should it its not a camera gear bag. It fits my needs.

    Great Advanced Amateur/Novice Camera.
This is without a doubt, an exceptional camera. I've had mine for a little under a year and I have NO complaints about it. I bought a 512 MB card to go with it shortly after getting the camera and I get about 800 pics on the lowest exposure, which is PLENNY of detail for emailing or use on a non photography centered website. Even if the rough image must be cropped down to achieve the final picture. And 5 megapixel has always been more than I've needed for backdrops, prints, and anything I've needed to do with my photos so far. I get good battery life, and the major controls are immediately understandable, although this camera definitely has more than enough depth and features that will keep you reaching for the manual till you get used to the camera.

Two caveats, one - it looks like CF mem will soon be replaced with CF II. Although CF mem will still be around, it wil definitely put a time limit on how long you can use the camera. two - either get a card reader, or get a larger card (which u'll need) that comes with a USB reader, most good cards (mine is lexar) do this. All in all, the camera is SPECTACULAR!!!

    Rubber belt loop is weak
While retrieving the camera from the case, I noticed the upper portion of the belt loop had split and was hanging by a mere thread of rubber. I was fortunate. After removing the camera from the case, one slight tug broke the belt loop. I've been using this case for approximately nine months with a Nikon Coolpix 990. Suggest you look at a Tamrac #5694 for cameras of this size.

    Great size, but no strap
I previously used a case logic digital camera bag for my Coolpix 950. It was pretty nice, but it was a tight fit to get the camera in. Alhtough the Nikon case seems smaller, the camera fits much better. I also have room for an extra set of batteries, my PCMCIA flash card adaptor, and a video cable. However, the one thing I miss is that there's no shouldar strap. Just a belt buckle, and a little loop.

A Good Case for Camera Cases
OK, I got one of these and like many others have already said, it has the advantage of having been engineered to carry the camera, but not much else. I, myself, carry lots of batteries and the thing has nowhere to stuff them all. After running through a Sears, Best Buy and a camera shop stuffing the 990 into various cases to see what fits best, I settled on a case logic CD player carrying bag. It has 3 zip pockets in it as well as a shoulder strap, belt loop and a snap loo that can be used to hang a light accessory bag off ot it. The bag is just big enough to fit the 990 into the mid pocket while leaving room in the back pocket for batteries and accessories. The small front pocket is just the right size to carry the trial size CF card that comes with the camera. Over all, I am very happy with the case. It is water resistant so I don't fear being caught in the rain with it an is just so versatile.

If you can find this thing its great. Shouldn't be hard Case logic has their products everywhere. It is a CD player travel bag and square shaped and comes in red, blue, yellow and maybe another color or two (I only saw the three colors I mentioned but there are probably more) If you can, get one of these. Its just right and now I am rambling so that's all for this review.

The case is built sturdy and would definetly protect a camera from jolts from the outside world, but for small camera's like my s400 and my casio M2 im afraid it would be bumping around insde. Would try what Kenneth J. Halliwell mentioned abt the s400. Overall the case is really spacious i would say. It may make life a little difficult when walking around with this attached to your belt. :-) it seems a little big when i look at it and the s400 is so small that the s400 fits in the front pouch meant for accessories neatly!!!

    Perfect for Canon S50
Fits camera, charger, USB cable and extra flash card. Well padded and provides good protection.

    Too Small
