Needs a mounting screw
The flash bracket end only has a screw hole for a tripod, useless when used with a typical flash bracket. As such, there's no way to security fasten the flash bracket end to the bracket, so it just keeps sliding out of the channel. Hey Canon, think before you design!

Great item if you've got a third hand.
Getting your flash off camera is crucial for natural looking lighting in many situations. Having to endlessly dismount the flash, mount the cord and finally attach the the flash to the shoe on the cord only to reverse the process when you want to put your flash back on the camera makes this otherwise priceless accessory tedious at best. It's not long enough for use with an umbrella so why does it not come with some sort of quick-release feature that will allow you to switch quickly from on camera to off?

off shoe cord
this is a very useful item...I have been taking pictures for over forty years. you can move the flash unit off the camera and use a bracket to place the shoe on, and create better pictures and also get the red out of the subjects eyes. try it you'll like the results.

useless cord
if you lose this cord just get a flash card reader. It's cheaper and more practical.

Card Readers Break These Don't
Those card readers that the previous reviewer was talking about break after too much data has been transfered so DO NOT listen to him. Canon makes quality products and their cables are the same I have never had a problem with them. And you don't have to worry about losing the cables if they stay conneected to your computer. If you don't have enough room purchase a USB Hub.

Does not charge all types of batteries.
Be warned if you have other types of NiMH batteries they may not work in Monster Chargers.

I bought this charger at Circit City and it came with 4 batteries. I went ahead and charged two of them so I can use them. It charged them in less than three hours but they did get very warm even hot which the charger says they should not be. After I charged them I saw that my camera batteries needed charger. I had Maxell NiMH rechargable batteries, I go and put them in the charger and nothing happens. The light does not go on. The unit makes no noise and acts like I have nothing in there. I have 10 of these Maxell NiMH rechargable total and none of them will work. I had to end up charging my camera batteries in my slow 9 hour charger.

I got this charger because it was quicker and I though it could charge any NiMH battery. I see that only the batteries that have those little plastic holes on the top will charge and the Duracell Accu AAA worked. I ended up returing the charger and bought from www.nimhbattery.com the MAHA POWEREX MH-C401FS charger. I put those Maxell NiMH in the Powerex and it worked like it suppose too and it lets you charge them either fast 100 minutes or slow 5 hours which makes the batteries not get hot. A charger that suppose to charge NiMH batteris suppose to charge any NiMH batteries no matter what the make is.

A great recharger and batteries
I love these batteries! Since they are 2000 mAh (mind where 2100 mAh, don't know why) these batteries last a long time. They last even longer than my one time use alkaline batteries per charge. That's right per charge. I'm not talking about lasting longer in the life time of the batteries because that's obvious since they are rechargable. I'm talking about fully charging these batteries only one time and they still out last Durecell one time use alkaline batteries. Finally rechargable batteries that perform better then one time use batteries.

Alkaline batteries are yesterday's technology meaning they are not good enough for today's high powered electronics. Either buy one time use Lithium batteries or get these. These batteries are more cost effective since they are rechargable. My digital camera used to eat through alkaline batteries within a few hours but with these batteries I can last days on only one charge. Now that's a huge increase.

This advice is very important...to get the best performance out of these batteries and any rechargable batteries you have to fully charge and discharge the batteries at least 3 times. If not then you might get poor performance. This is just a good rule to remember because it's true for all rechargable batteries no matter what kind they are.

The recharger itself isn't that bad. I only roughly timed it but it takes about 3 hours to fully charge. It's well worth the wait for the stamina it gives you in battery life. One minor problem I did notice is that the top two connectors charge faster than the bottom two. Not a problem if you are only charging 2 batteries at a time. When you are charging 4 batteries just move the bottom 2 batteries to the top when the top 2 are done. Other than that it's a great charger.

    More fragile than it seems
This cable works fine: no directions needed, and it automatically alerts the computer (at least it does mine: I use Apple's iPhoto) that the camera is plugged in, which means the necessary software is launched without any effort on the part of the user. What's more, if you own any of the excellent Sony Cybershot cameras, this is the only choice available for downloading photos to your computer.

But if you do use this, be sure to unplug the cable from the camera as soon as the download is complete. If you don't, you may learn as I did that the product has one design flaw: even a moderate amount of pressure on the camera with the plug still in could tilt the camera bend the end of the cable, pulling the metal part from the plastic and rendering the whole thing useless. Which explains why I'm on this page ordering a replacement.

    dont know
i have the veo advanced connect ,it has worked one time, when i'am on a web site everyone esle can see but i can not see any thing that is being shared they can see me but i can not see my self on the screen?can some one let me know what the problem is????????

Beware: No Tech Support- You're gonna need it
I own two smooth running Windows PCs. One runs Windows 98 First Edition, the other runs Second Edition. The Veo Advance Connect Camera worked on neither of them.

In fact, upon installing it on one computer, a blue screen-fatal system error automatically popup and persisted as long as the camera was plugged in. Perhaps this problem could be solved- I wouldn't know' tech support never e-mailed back. After 7 days, I gave up on this cheap, hopeless camera and returned it promptly for a Logitech 310 Webcam, one that has decent quality, but at least works.

    Great Web Cam.. Recommend!
I have been with the web cam for several months and I
love it very much. The picture quality is pretty nice
in both online instant message programs and local pic-
taking application. Well, the only thing I would
complain about this camera is the looking: not that
pretty :-) Well, it is not web cam not a decoration for
my room.. So no big deal for me.. And plus I like the
"spider" stander which fits my LCD monitor perfectly.
And you can switch the spdier to a flat stander as well.
I video-conversated with my friends and they are impressed
by my image quality and several of them even got the same
    one for themselves..

Unneeded accessory sold to me by Amozon
The Finepix 700 camera comes with a recharger with a wall plug. It also serves as an adapter to run the camera off wall current, making this product comepletely unneeded. But since Amazon does not give a detailed description of what comes with the camera, it was hard to tell that.

    AC adapter
I am hoping this is just what we need, but nowhere in the literature do I see if this adapter will work as a recharger for our Fujifilm 3800 digital camera. It only states "in some models". Delivery was VERY quick.

    AC adapter
Wish this item was included in the accessory kit I bought. Great addition to the set, helps keep the need for batteries down in areas where outlets are available.

    Very disappointed!
I'm returning mine in the morning. Image quality is terrible in normal indoor light. In low light it's useless. Even the slightest movement is a blur on the screen. It looks cool and has a nice travel case, but if you want a functional camera, this isn't it. I'll stick with Intel.

    Very bad product
Its been two days I've had this web-cam. Very dissapointing... I literally need to sit under a table lamp to to be able to see any pictures clearly. Under normal light, the recording is too dark -- to be visible.

I'm dumping this and buying a logitech tomorrow... Its not even worth 10 bucks.

    acceptable
I've owned this cam for some months, and its perfect for me because I travel constantly. Yes, it struggles in low light (interior light, which is where one ususally is) like a digital camera, but if one turns on an additional lamp, the image is acceptable. It has a great, rugged little carrying case, and the whole cam is tiny; perfect for mobility. And, it's best characteristic...it is easy to use and very reliable. For lest than $50, I have not been tempted to return it.

    Not Even Remotely Necessary
Monster Cable makes a lot of great cables. I think they are most known for their stereo cabling which is of much higher gauge than generic speaker cables, and they have great cables for the RCA in and out jacks as well. These are all ANALOG signals, and the extra quality can (and does) make a huge difference.

On a digital connection, ambient interference is automatically filtered out. I don't own this item, but had to say I did in order to write a review. Cheap IEEE1394 cables are just as good. If you want to line the pockets of Monster Cable, replace that junky speaker cable you bought at Radio Shack!

    MOnster is wasy too expensive...
I have just returned the Monster IEEE cable [...] after comparing it side by side with an inexpensive [...] cable. It is all marketing hype as far as IEEE link is concerned. {The less expensive} cable worked as good as the Monster Low Noise, Gas injected etc. cable. So do yourself a favor save some money.

Pay $10 for the same product!
Do not be fool by marketing and pay 4x more for the same result. Monster Cables are great for all ANALOG signals. You do not need gold connectors for DIGITAL data. A $10 cable will do exactly the same. Do not worry about noise on a 6-foot wire unless you are planning to loop this on a high voltage power wire. Technology is moving away from Monster Cable.

    miserable product
All the comments here are spot on. I found a much better unit called the 'digisnap' (made by harbortronics) which works better, both as a remote release (longer cable, no filter) and a timelapse controller (much faster interval -- 5 sec vs. 2 min). Skip the Nikon unit.

    NOT A HAPPY CAMPER
The remote is too small, and why is the diagram showing where the different parts are, only in German and Japanese? In this country, English is still the primary language, and I may read German, but I don't understand enough to translate the instructions here. Also, I can't see the print on the remote in the dark, and the buttons are a little too small, even for my small fingers. I don't understand why the camera locks up after I change the battery, and it's very frustrating to try and use something that is just going to mess up my camera, and thus my project. Also, the cord is a bit too short. Can't say I'm happy with this item.

    Necessary Evil
I have used this devise extensively and it is definately required for tele-3X converters, macro, registration/animation shots. I'm using a Nikon 995 and without it the above photos would have been degraded without its useage. A necessary item. However, the flip side is that some evil designer, who should be demoted, only allowed for a 2 minute min. interval. Not 1 min, 30, 10, 5 sec's DUH! In addition the plug is really small, unplugs readily (even when you don't want to) and the cord is really short, with no extensions available. In addition, the USB port that accepts this devise has worn rather quickly for a Nikon, with connection becoming erractic if at all. The camera is presently in repair for replacement of the port/connector. I think that NIKON should issue some sort of incentive for those who bought this accessory. Its a love/hate relationship.

      Belkin Video Bus II
I would rate this product ZERO stars, but this format does give me the choice. I purchased this product for the purpose of capturing analog video on my PC - primarily to freeze frames into "stills." The clerk at CompUSA said it should be capable of producing 800x... resolution. Not true! The tech guy at Belkin support said it should produce at least 640x... resolution. Also not true. Recent info from Belkin's web site finally declares "up to 388x... resolution." It also claims the ability to make "stunning videos on your PC." They're STUNNING all right ... appalling would be a more appropriate description. The images are VERY POOR quality. Don't buy this product if you want anything more than very grainy, choppy, pixelated images.
