Does not charge all types of batteries.I bought this charger at Circit City and it came with 4 batteries. I went ahead and charged two of them so I can use them. It charged them in less than three hours but they did get very warm even hot which the charger says they should not be. After I charged them I saw that my camera batteries needed charger. I had Maxell NiMH rechargable batteries, I go and put them in the charger and nothing happens. The light does not go on. The unit makes no noise and acts like I have nothing in there. I have 10 of these Maxell NiMH rechargable total and none of them will work. I had to end up charging my camera batteries in my slow 9 hour charger.
I got this charger because it was quicker and I though it could charge any NiMH battery. I see that only the batteries that have those little plastic holes on the top will charge and the Duracell Accu AAA worked. I ended up returing the charger and bought from www.nimhbattery.com the MAHA POWEREX MH-C401FS charger. I put those Maxell NiMH in the Powerex and it worked like it suppose too and it lets you charge them either fast 100 minutes or slow 5 hours which makes the batteries not get hot. A charger that suppose to charge NiMH batteris suppose to charge any NiMH batteries no matter what the make is.
A great recharger and batteriesAlkaline batteries are yesterday's technology meaning they are not good enough for today's high powered electronics. Either buy one time use Lithium batteries or get these. These batteries are more cost effective since they are rechargable. My digital camera used to eat through alkaline batteries within a few hours but with these batteries I can last days on only one charge. Now that's a huge increase.
This advice is very important...to get the best performance out of these batteries and any rechargable batteries you have to fully charge and discharge the batteries at least 3 times. If not then you might get poor performance. This is just a good rule to remember because it's true for all rechargable batteries no matter what kind they are.
The recharger itself isn't that bad. I only roughly timed it but it takes about 3 hours to fully charge. It's well worth the wait for the stamina it gives you in battery life. One minor problem I did notice is that the top two connectors charge faster than the bottom two. Not a problem if you are only charging 2 batteries at a time. When you are charging 4 batteries just move the bottom 2 batteries to the top when the top 2 are done. Other than that it's a great charger.

More fragile than it seemsBut if you do use this, be sure to unplug the cable from the camera as soon as the download is complete. If you don't, you may learn as I did that the product has one design flaw: even a moderate amount of pressure on the camera with the plug still in could tilt the camera bend the end of the cable, pulling the metal part from the plastic and rendering the whole thing useless. Which explains why I'm on this page ordering a replacement.

dont know
Beware: No Tech Support- You're gonna need itIn fact, upon installing it on one computer, a blue screen-fatal system error automatically popup and persisted as long as the camera was plugged in. Perhaps this problem could be solved- I wouldn't know' tech support never e-mailed back. After 7 days, I gave up on this cheap, hopeless camera and returned it promptly for a Logitech 310 Webcam, one that has decent quality, but at least works.
Great Web Cam.. Recommend!love it very much. The picture quality is pretty nice
in both online instant message programs and local pic-
taking application. Well, the only thing I would
complain about this camera is the looking: not that
pretty :-) Well, it is not web cam not a decoration for
my room.. So no big deal for me.. And plus I like the
"spider" stander which fits my LCD monitor perfectly.
And you can switch the spdier to a flat stander as well.
I video-conversated with my friends and they are impressed
by my image quality and several of them even got the same
one for themselves..

Not Even Remotely NecessaryOn a digital connection, ambient interference is automatically filtered out. I don't own this item, but had to say I did in order to write a review. Cheap IEEE1394 cables are just as good. If you want to line the pockets of Monster Cable, replace that junky speaker cable you bought at Radio Shack!
MOnster is wasy too expensive...
