Beautiful but fatally flawed. When I first got this case, I had noticed the ridiculous attachment of the strap (relies on friction, expecting slippery nylon webbing to grip to itself... stupid) and wondered if I should do something about it.
Other complaints - the "swivels" that connect the strap to the box - don't swivel. So the strap gets all munged up and twisted. Very annoying.
Lastly, with a quick-release tripod plate (Bogen/Manfrotto in my case) left on the camera - the case won't close! STUPID. Even a thinner plate (not that I've seen one) wouldn't work - the fit is so designed. Maybe carving out one of the rigid foam supports in the lid will fix this.
Anyway - I think you'd be better off cutting custom foam for an excellent Pelican case (also readily available on Amazon.com).
The Canon case is a very pretty thing, and will give your rig a very professional look, if that's most important to you. But a Pelican would likely survive a drop out of a car on the freeway... no way this thing would.
Basic and as inexpensive as they getIt is quite effective for storing all of your cabling, power supply, tapes, and a few other accessories. And, let's face it, if you shelled out for the GL-2 you are going to want to protect it.
If you truly need a well protected camera and intend to use a Bogen quick release mount, and are lugging this thing all over heck and back, get a custom cut case. Otherwise, this is a great deal at the price, and very sexy.

Pretty box, but what is in it?Take it from me that whatever it is you can do without it !
Carry case ? Extra memory ? Batteries? Charger? Mains adapter ?
These are all available form other sources and probably at a better price.Have a look around your local store and take your pick.
Sorry Fuji but you have shot yourselves in the foot with this product.
BTW How come we in the UK pay a good 50% more for any digital camera?
What is in a 'digital camera accessory kit'?The picture of the green box doesn't enlarge enough for me to be able to hazard a guess beyond bag, maybe a memory disk, and maybe a battery charger.
So I can't tell what this pig in a poke is; and I can't tell if the kit includes things I might need that aren't included with the camera itself, or things that I might want like a USB cable; and I can't comparison-shop between the mystery kit and an a la carte selection.
Maybe I've missed the right button to click, but it sure seems like there ought to be a way- without making a trip to an Office Depot, for instance- to know what is in this accessory kit.

Poor choice for the Powershot S1- It is difficult to open and close. There is a zippered left and right side which goes down about 2-3 inches. The top flap closes with velcro. It therefore takes three movements to open the bag. An awkward and timeconsuming process.
- There is no space to keep a spare set of batteries, the minimum accessories a person would want to keep along with their camera. There is an inside pocket for memory cards. But I find that one card is all that fits easily. Any more, and the camera case will bulge.
This is designed for the fashion concious and trendy crowd who want the Canon logo on their camera case. It is not a practical carrying case. The least I would have expected is for Canon to design a concelable strap for this case. Instead, there is a belt loop which is pretty much useless as this camera is a little too bulky for you to put around your belt loop. And it seems certain to distort the shape of your belt. Do think twice about this purchase.
I am still looking for another case for my Powershot S1. I see a Targus Digital Camera Max case for under five bucks on Amazon and think I will get that instead. If you have alternate suggestions, do add them, for the benefit of other folks, right here.
