different than the picture
Just a warning... the case is different than the one pictured and the shipping cost is as much as the case. The case I recieved did not have a shoulder strap but rather it has a loop on it that you could thread onto your belt. I do like the case, it seems to protect the camera well. My Canon A70 Camera fits great into the case. I just wish I had the shoulder strap.

Chubby padded case
The case is meant for PowerShot A40/A20/A10. (I bought this hoping it would work with my Powershot S330. However, it's a little bigger than I'd like it to be. It's so large I can fit the USB connector in the base.) The zipper flap over both the large and small pockets is a little irritating. The metallic gray synthetic material with black trim gives it a slick look. The light padding appears adequate for "throwing" in your bag. Details are as follows:

Deluxe Soft Compact Case PSC20 for
PowerShot A40, A20 and A10 cameras.

Canon USA, Inc / Item no. 7137A001(AA)
- Synthetic material (not leather)
- Belt loop
- velcro flap
- Large padded zippered pocket for Powershot Camers.
- Small zippered pocket for extra batteries and memory card
- Includes shoulder strap.
- Approximate Dimensions: 3" x 4.75" x 1.75"* (*2.5" including smaller pocket)
- Color: Metallic gray, black trim, black shoulder strap

Fast Shipping
THe shipping was really fast-so fast I didn't have time to cancel the order after I realized the shipping cost more than the case. I should have read the reviews before ordering. Don't know if the case works or not as the camera hasn't been sent yet.

    Mixed results
The Aquapaq is a great idea, but in reality there are several issues one must keep in mind. 1- There is no written docs to tell you how deep you can go. 2- For pool use, the thing is tough to keep down in the water. I recommend draining as much air out of it as possible so you can control the buoyancy. 3- In lakes and oceans, make sure it floats so you can retrieve it if it gets away from you. 4- The plastic is not exactly optical quality. It is worse out of the water, because folds created by extending the lens (such as the Kodak camera in the pictures) create distortions. 5- It is VERY difficult to frame. You can't really use the LCD in bright light and looking throught the viewfinder with goggles is almost impossible. Shoot from the hip and hope for the best.

After all these points, I was able to get ONE PERFECT PICTURE of my son underwater. Made it all worthwile, but be patient.

    Pretty good for the money...
I used this bag to protect a digital video camera while snorkeling. It worked pretty good. Only problems I had were the bag wrinkling in front of the lens and trying to keep the bag from fogging up from being in the sun.

Overall, it served its purpose and was worth the cost.

No water got in and the video was pretty decent.

    It is as advertised...
This remarkable bag protects my digital camera. I am more confident taking the camera with me on our boat, to the beach or anywhere that it might be subjected to dampness. As suggested, I gave it the underwater test (sans camera) and the bag did not allow any moisture to enter the compartment. As for taking pictures from inside the bag.... aside from the lense being slightly restricted from full extension, the pictures it took were almost as good as the camera without the bag. An excellent investment for those who want to take their camera with them everywhere in safety.

      solid, but specialized
This is a great piece of armor for the S100, if you're looking to take pictures fully submerged. It is overkill for casual boating use -- though it would save the camera if dropped in, the S100 shrugs off rain and spray without this protection. Solidly built, large but not too large (still a one-hand camera.) Controls are still convenient. I've mostly used it underwater in swimming pools, but I would have no problem taking it white-water rafting, it feels that sturdy and well-sealed.

For casual use, the Aquapac bag-style case is more economical, but this case is a perfect fit for the camera, and if you do a lot of in-water shooting, would be a much better choice.
      ----
Long after first posting this, I took it along on a trip to Kauai, Hawaii - and successfully grabbed hundreds of pictures of tropical fish and coral in their native habitat. The camera probably spent 20 hours submerged, completely protected, as far as 2 meters below the surface (camera held out at arms length for upward and sideways shots.) It measured up.

      High quality, what you'd expect
I agree with the previous reviewer (the first I think was referring to the soft case) but I will add a couple of things.

First of all, like the camera itself this case is very high quality. There are two negitives I'll mention:

      1. You cannot really use the viewfinder. 1/3 of the view is blocked by the lens housing so you'll end up using the screen and using more battery power.

      2. The camera is a TINY bit loose in the case. It will shake just a little bit. It was fixed by ising a small amount of tape on the "rails" that hold the camera. Really no big deal.

The strap is really nice and can be worn like a traditional SLR which is nice for boating or rugged use. Really a neat case if your camera would normally be in danger.

One thing-- I had read a review elsewhere which made it seem like the display could not be turned on or off in the case. Not true, you do have access to the display botton for conserving power.

I have used abused this case for over a year and it hasn't failed.
After a year or so it gets scratched up and you need to polish it in order to see through the back.

      Great product
This is a great Nikon product at a great price. It does what it is supposed to do (protect your camera) and does it in style. It is thick enough to ensure mechanical protection (without being too bulky) and it has an extra pocket for an extra memory or battery.

      great
i love it it's can be a little bulky but it holds all the things you need to go out to photo graph holds a lot of extra memory cards/.

      love it
great bag holds memory cards but can be a little bulky but it's great for these camera plus it doesn't cost a lot at all its great case to get.

Very good bag for my little Fuji camera
Well, like my title says, this bag was perfect for my little Fuji digital. I'm able to throw in 2 sets of batteries in the side pockets, carry my wallet and cell in the front zip, the camera in the middle, and an extra memory card.

My only complaint about this bag is the lack of stability in the middle. Unless your very careful, with a lot of bumping, I think the camera would get damaged = not a good thing. But overall, if you need a quick, down and dirty bag, this is pretty darn good. For the money, it's worth it.

      Does the job
I bought this bag for my Canon Sureshot 85. The camera and 3-4 rolls of film fit into the bag well and it is easy to carry.

      Case Logic CB3
I love this case! It is so compact and holds more than just your camera! I think that if you have trouble keeping track of all the separate bags of little things, you really should think of this camera case as a solution!

      Great Acessory
I was a little uncertain about these waterproof housings for digital cameras until my boyfriend and I took it on a snorkeling adventure. WOW! The pictures came out great. On some of them you can hardly tell that they were taken underwater. The camera was still easy to operate. The slight bulkiness was sometimes cumbersome for my smaller hands, but the size of the housing is not excessive. The LCD is visible through the housing as is all of the other necessary parts of the camera.

The other great advantage of the plastic housing is that your camera can get knocked around on the boat a little. My only suggestion to Canon is to supply the wrist lanyard with a bearing tightening feature, especially for us with smaller wrists, because I was a little nervous at times of losing the camera. But that's just a minor, minor, minor not-even-a-real-complaint, and easily fixable on your own.

With the proper precautions and care, this is an excellent purchase. Especially if you love being underwater and enjoy sharing your oceanic adventures with others!

      Works great. Nice solid product
I bought this case for a dive to the Great Barrier Reef. I was able to get photos and video with total ease using this case. The construction is really solid and you can use all of the camera's controls. I even dove to 32 meters and was worried because the case is only rated for 30 but it held up fine. Never had any leaks. Well worth the price.

      Exceeded my expectations
Within a couple weeks of purchase, I had this case as deep as 105ft of water for three consecutive days, twice a day. I probably averaged about 50ft for around for an hour per dive. Point? 6 hours of real depth with no problems and spectacular pictures that beyond surprised me from the S200 Camera. Get close to your subject, probably use the flash (I used the auto setting for the most part--and the diffuser thingy on this case) and the camera/housing will do the rest.

Never had a drop get into the housing even though I exceeded the max depth (barely) a couple of times. Follow the instructions, treat the gasket with love, and TEST IT before you subject your camera to it. They walk you through the process in the manual, and it's kinda common sense.

All of the camera controls are very easily accessible, no hint of leaks. There is not cloth bag or anything with the case, so I use a ski-goggle bag. It should also be stored OPEN so the gasket does not stay compressed for long periods of time.

If you use it, you will be happy. Everyone I was with (including a number of people that initially scoffed at the little camera) were impressed with the performance.

Oh yeah, with the camera, the whole things is a little bit negative (it sinks slowly). Not a big deal, but know you won't see it bob to the surface if you let it go.

Very pleased with this kit! It's a great deal!
I have the Nikon Coolpix 4500 camera and I recently purchased this accessory kit for it. I have nothing but good things to say about it!!!
-The camera case is of very high quality and not only does it fit the 4500 camera, but there's also room for other accessories, such as the AC adapter, compact flash cards, etc.
-The AC adapter is very useful because it does NOT come with the camera (at least not with the Coolpix 4500).
-The compact flash card reader, lens cloth, and card wallet are other nice things to have.

If all of these items were purchased separately, the grand total of all of them combined would have been well over [$]. Thus, this kit is a very good buy and very complementary to the camera.

After I had purchased this kit, I read the reviews by other users and they seem to be misleading. But once I received the kit, I was pleasantly surprised by its contents and I discounted the misleading information supplied by some of the reviews.

Amazon, where are your product descriptions?
Yes, this is an accessory kit for the Nikon Coolpix cameras but give us the particulars, please! I ordered this after making a guess from the picture as to what it contained. The kit comes with a CompactFlash card reader (plus software), a black camera case made of PVC/vinyl (it's soft and flexible, though), a nice little "wallet" for extra memory cards, a lens cloth, and an AC adapter. A nice kit for at a good price! I'm glad I took a chance.

Geat accessory kit for my 5700 camera
The case fits very well with my Coolpix 5700 camera. The EH-52 AC adaptor's output rating on the product label is 8.4V/1.3A Max, which is the same as the EH-53. I tested it, worked fine. My PC running Window XP detected the memory card reader automatically and showed it as another removable drive. Transfering pictures without any problem. I can also use the card reader like a USB drive with the Flash memory plugged in.

Good small bag for the 5700
If you're looking for a good snug fitting case for the 5700, this is it. It's a tight fit, but holds the camera and strap. There is room in the top inside pocket for a card or other item and the front pocket has quite a bit of room for a extra battery or other misc accessories. Belt loop seems robust and the rings for the strap is sewn into a nylon strap that goes all the way around the bottom. This is perfect for when I just want to carry the camera and move fast and light.
As to the turning on in the case. I suppose this would be a problem if I didn't consistantly turn the camera off and the switch to review. If the camera is switched on accidently, the lens won't extend. Simple solution that one should always use regardless of the case.
I imagine this will fit the new Nikon 8700 as well.
There seems to be two models of this case floating around out there. (especially on ebay) The one pictured above is the best. The other seems to be lacking some pockets and features.

      nikon coolpix 5700 case
Great camera case for nikon 5700 made for and fits well.Does not carry much gear but why should it its not a camera gear bag. It fits my needs.

      Great Advanced Amateur/Novice Camera.
This is without a doubt, an exceptional camera. I've had mine for a little under a year and I have NO complaints about it. I bought a 512 MB card to go with it shortly after getting the camera and I get about 800 pics on the lowest exposure, which is PLENNY of detail for emailing or use on a non photography centered website. Even if the rough image must be cropped down to achieve the final picture. And 5 megapixel has always been more than I've needed for backdrops, prints, and anything I've needed to do with my photos so far. I get good battery life, and the major controls are immediately understandable, although this camera definitely has more than enough depth and features that will keep you reaching for the manual till you get used to the camera.

Two caveats, one - it looks like CF mem will soon be replaced with CF II. Although CF mem will still be around, it wil definitely put a time limit on how long you can use the camera. two - either get a card reader, or get a larger card (which u'll need) that comes with a USB reader, most good cards (mine is lexar) do this. All in all, the camera is SPECTACULAR!!!

      Rubber belt loop is weak
While retrieving the camera from the case, I noticed the upper portion of the belt loop had split and was hanging by a mere thread of rubber. I was fortunate. After removing the camera from the case, one slight tug broke the belt loop. I've been using this case for approximately nine months with a Nikon Coolpix 990. Suggest you look at a Tamrac #5694 for cameras of this size.

      Great size, but no strap
I previously used a case logic digital camera bag for my Coolpix 950. It was pretty nice, but it was a tight fit to get the camera in. Alhtough the Nikon case seems smaller, the camera fits much better. I also have room for an extra set of batteries, my PCMCIA flash card adaptor, and a video cable. However, the one thing I miss is that there's no shouldar strap. Just a belt buckle, and a little loop.

A Good Case for Camera Cases
OK, I got one of these and like many others have already said, it has the advantage of having been engineered to carry the camera, but not much else. I, myself, carry lots of batteries and the thing has nowhere to stuff them all. After running through a Sears, Best Buy and a camera shop stuffing the 990 into various cases to see what fits best, I settled on a case logic CD player carrying bag. It has 3 zip pockets in it as well as a shoulder strap, belt loop and a snap loo that can be used to hang a light accessory bag off ot it. The bag is just big enough to fit the 990 into the mid pocket while leaving room in the back pocket for batteries and accessories. The small front pocket is just the right size to carry the trial size CF card that comes with the camera. Over all, I am very happy with the case. It is water resistant so I don't fear being caught in the rain with it an is just so versatile.

If you can find this thing its great. Shouldn't be hard Case logic has their products everywhere. It is a CD player travel bag and square shaped and comes in red, blue, yellow and maybe another color or two (I only saw the three colors I mentioned but there are probably more) If you can, get one of these. Its just right and now I am rambling so that's all for this review.

The case is built sturdy and would definetly protect a camera from jolts from the outside world, but for small camera's like my s400 and my casio M2 im afraid it would be bumping around insde. Would try what Kenneth J. Halliwell mentioned abt the s400. Overall the case is really spacious i would say. It may make life a little difficult when walking around with this attached to your belt. :-) it seems a little big when i look at it and the s400 is so small that the s400 fits in the front pouch meant for accessories neatly!!!

      Perfect for Canon S50
Fits camera, charger, USB cable and extra flash card. Well padded and provides good protection.

      Too Small
This is a great little case, and would be perfect if my camera were slightly smaller. As it is, however, my Olympus C-4000 is just too large. Soft interior that should be very easy on LCD screens.
