I bought one worked for 5 hours. Returned it for another. That worked for a day or so. Crappy, crappy, crappy.

failed after a few months use with my toshiba centrino laptop. targus would not honor warranty because they claimed that the power adapter was not meant to be used with my particular model. can't think of a a more bogus explanation for poor quality.

do yourself a favor and avoid this pricey paperweight. stick with oem equipment

I was taking a flight one day from Los Angeles to D.C. when I noticed that a person in front of me seemed to have 'plugged in' his laptop while on the plane. I asked him how he did that and he pointed out to me that most planes have a power adapter under most seats (usually the first half of the plane only though) and that he had purchased a Targus Auto/Air Power Adapter.

As soon as I landed I went to my local computer store and indeed found this product. I purchased it immediately (I admit I paid more than what Amazon is selling for, though) and used it on my flight back from DC. It was so nice to be able to watch two full length DVDs versus getting through only 90% of one DVD before the battery went dead. Best of all, I don't have to hunt around the airport anymore for an AC plug because as I watch my DVDs on the plane the Targus Auto/Air power adapter charges my laptop for me.

I have a son that was born in July of 2003 (around a year old at the time of this writing) and so the only DVDs I watch anymore are when I go on business trips. It is actually pretty relaxing to fly now that I have this power adapter. I just plug in my laptop, put on my headphones and I am in my own little world (until the flight attendant finally comes by to 'put my seat in the full and upright position').

Order this only to discover that the image and description didn't match what was being sold on this page! I received a completely different charger that had the capacity to charge only one 9-volt battery at a time, rather than the two I had wanted. I'm sure this is a decent charger But not for my use right now. Very Disappointed in Target!!!

A word to the wise: be careful of choosing from among many similar products without a definitive photograph to help you make sure you know what you're getting. I relied on the "product manual" in PDF format linked on the page, only to discover that the image therein (and likely the rest of the information it contained) didn't match what was being sold on this page! I received a completely different charger that had the capacity to charge only one 9-volt battery at a time, rather than the two I had seen in the manual. While I'm sure this is a decent charger (at half the cost compared to even the warehouse clubs), it isn't what I need. Bottom line: be careful when ordering without photographs!

I can't decide if this thing is defective or not. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. It seems that it pulls too much juice from the usb port which causes Windows XP to shut it down. Other times I get miscellaneous hot sync failures. I'm going to give it a few more days before returning it to Amazon.

At first I loved it-The power was incredible-The Dimage 7 is a power hungry pig and 1600mah recharbles Nimh never cut it. So I bought this charger and at first I never ran out of power, now it won't hold a charge. Mizco (digipower) is a very hard company to find-but after a year the information is geting better. This was sold as a 6v compatible when the dimage 7 is actually needing 7.2v-The MAHA Powerbank turned out to be a better choice for me.

Both my sister and I bought these batteries. They do not hold a charge and eventually stopped taking a charge all together. I would not recommend these batteries for your Kodak camera. (Both cameras however work great). It is disappointing that Kodak has associated these poor batteries with excellent cameras.

Amazon fails to give the part number of this recharageable battery. Kodak makes a couple of different rechargeable batteries. Upon purchasing this battery pack I discovered that the one I received would not charge on the dock. Also, the battery pack was shipped with the packaging damaged and the battery was loose in the box. I would definitely recommed anybody needing and purchasing this particular battery pack order it directly through Kodak.

These came with the Kodak camera dock. Once charged, I am routinely able to take approximately 150-160 photos before the battery has mostly discharged. I used it regularly for about 1 year before it would not hold a charge. It's a good thing that they are available online though--they are hard to find locally, even at the store where I bought the camera and the dock.

It comes with the Forerunner 201 so you don't have to get this unless you somehow lost it. If you need to get it, this is WAY over-priced. It doesn't even come with the data cable, which is sold separately. Garmin accessories are always very expensive.

Here are some comments on the charger.
1. The bracket fits the GPS unit very tightly. It hurts my fingers to remove the GPS units after charging. I hope the plastic don't break one day forcing me to replace the charger.

2. The design of the bracket makes it impossible to use the connector which also transmit data with other Garmin GPS. This is very irritating since Garmin data cables are SO expensive. Why force us to buy expensive accessories.... Hmm, profit? Damn, I hate marketing people!

For a compact product like the Forereuner, the AC/DC Charger is surprisingly large and does not offer the dual voltage feature for 110/220 V, which is a big limitation. (Every PC and appliance now offers that).

Someone please tell why this charger has to be so large? It is almost a 3" cube and weighs at least a pound. The forerunner and all the accessories combined do not weigh what the converter weighs.

And since the wrist GPS has only a 13 or 14 hour battery life, you can't go on the road without it. All I need is another charger in my bag.

The ad clearly states it fits ALL Cobra microtalk frs radios. The packaging doesn't list compatible radio models. But it doesn't fit their FRS 220 model. So basically, I have one battery in the rear slot and I jury rigged the front slot to also take just the battery. So the adage is true - buyer beware!

The FA-CH has been replaced by a newer model charger, the FA-CR. Will function with both FABP battery packs installed or removed from the FRS units.

One note: the FA-CH comes with a car cord but the FA-CR doesn't.

Charges 4 batteries in under 14 hours. Amazing that someone still manufactured this hunk of junk. My other 3 chargers can do so, with a plug that does NOT take up the entire outlet, in less than 4 hours.

Avoid at all cost...

I received this charger with my Minolta Dimage s414. I was so excited to get a free charger, but now I know why it was free. I charged the batteries three times and then it stopped working. I'm only glad that this happened while I wasn't travelling in a remote area where it would be difficult to buy a new charger. I'm looking for a charger with better customer satisfaction.

I thoroughly agree with the other two reviews about how crappy this power adapter is. The first one I had for my Canon Ultura video camera just quit working one day. I had bought an extended warranty on the camera, but quickly found out the adaptor wasn't covered. I then purchased another one for $125.00 in Feb., 2002. Now this one doesn't work and I will have to replace it again. I called Canon and they said they couldn't help me out and said I would have to buy another one. This leaves you between a rock and a hard place because the camera is totally useless unless you can recharge the $50.00 batteries. I told them I'd never buy another Canon video camera, which is true. I'm going back to Sony!

This is an absolute travesty. $150.00 for a crappy ac/dc adapter? These things cost less than a buck to make. I can understand up to $30.00, but a hundred and fifty bucks is plain old taking advantage of people. I'm sure glad my other camera is a Sony. Canon is a terrible company to do this to people.

I bought this Canon Vistura DV camera 5 years ago and have gone through 3 of these units. I called canon there reply was you can buy another one for 150.00 Can dollars. Im on the look for another one( used) as this one has croaked as well I asked the service tech if it was my camera he said no Canon makes "cheap chargers". I will be selling this unit as soon as I get a charger for it . A canon will not be on the replacement list

Why would you need this??

- the Garmin iQue 3600 Auto Navigation Kit will charge as well as this item and has the added advantage of allowing you to use the Garmin 3600 as it was meant to be used...as a hands free GPS navigation system.

This is the second 12 volt charger I've had. Both have blown fuses in my vehicle, then the units also blew something since they didn't work anymore. Garmin did send the second unit at no charge since its under warranty. I'm now calling for a third unit!!!

I bought this adaptor and found it makes a lot of noise when in use. So I asked for a replacement. The replacement does not make noise any more. But there is 10% chance it will blow your car's fuse.
