One of the best things on my work truck!!!
I was given one of these by work. Too bad I have to return it if I leave. Everyone that has any type of DeWalt tool should have this charger.

dewalt 12v vehicle charger
I used the 18v tools to build an entire remote cabin where there was no regular electricity. The vehicle charger works great connected to a 12 volt solar power system.

DeWalt Vehicle Charger -- Must have for punch outs
This product is great for anyone that is always on the go and does not have access to an electrical outlet to plug in a battery charger. I use it everyday while performing a/c punchouts. I have owned it for 3 years and the only thing that I have found to be concerned about is overheating the charger and batteries on hot summer days.

It tunes them up
Replaced my old charger with this one. Made a big difference with my older batteries that would not take much of a charge. Gave some new life to them. If you are a user of cordless tools, you know that batteries are the big maintenance expense. While my figures are not scientifically valid, my best guess is that this charger will extend the life of the batteries at least 20 percent

Throw away your old charger!
I purchased this charger at the same time I bought my 14.4 cordless drill (Firestorm). This charger fully charges your Dewalt or Firestorm batteries in less than an hour (depending on how low they are when placed in the charger). My two batteries are still going strong after more than three years of frequent home use (the tune-up mode definitely helps).

Never use the 6 hr battery killer that comes with your cordless tools. This charger is definitely worth the money, considering I would have spent at least twice as much on new batteries.

"Tune-Up" Makes this the Better Choice
I traded up to this charger after one of my old ones quit. The "tune-up" mode really does make a difference. I tried a side by side test with my remaining old non-tune-up charger. I charged two depleted 12v batteries for 10 hours, using the "tune-up" mode on this charger. I then ran them in the same drill, and there was a noticable increase in rpm and torque with the "tuned-up" battery. The "tune-up" mode does take 8 hours, but it is only necessary every 8-10 charges. As DeWalt explains, the cells in the battery are wired in series and the "tune-up" charges the downline cells completely, where fast charging only fills the first few cells. All cordless batteries are a series of 1.5v batteries enclosed in a case. To get a full charge, all the individual batteries need to fill completely.

If you have older batteries, this charger will give them new life. It is a worthwhile upgrade even for new batteries, as it will give them better performance and perhaps, extend their life.

Worth every penny
As a 10 year aircraft maintainer in the US Air Force, I've used everything from standard Mag-lites, scuba divers' lights, and even penlights in a pinch. I can say this flashlight is brighter than any other I've used. It cuts my inspection time in half because I can see things 55 feet off the ground just like it was right in front of me. Don't be fooled to think a rechargeable battery pack isn't as strong as standard alkaline batteries. This isn't the case. I wouldn't trade this flashlight for anything!

This MAG is a lifesaver!
As a police officer with over twenty years on the job, I can honestly say this MAG is the best flashlight in the business! I've used nothing else for the last twelve years. It's candle power turns the darkest area into daylight. The light's design makes it possible to keep the light held under the arm easily when both hands are busy, supplying a continuous stream of light. This is the perfect flashlight for camping--it takes drops and banging effortlessly and lives to shine another day! I'm ordering a second one to keep in my car. It's easily kept charged with the lighter adaptor.

Better than what I expected
My company bought one of these Mag Lights and I didnt expect much from a rechargeable light . Wow was I wrong , This light is better than any dry cell flashlight ever made . This is more like a spotlight on a police car with 50,000 candle power. We use this light all the time in an Industrial enviroment where it gets greasy a lot, and this has led it to be dropped a time or two, none the less it has never failed to operate like new.. The rechargeable feature on this light is so handy. We just hang up the light at the end of the day in its cradle and it is ready for hard action the next day ...

    Great for digital cameras
We got this battery pack included with our digital camera, and it works great. We tried to use some alkaline aa batteries and they don't even come close to lasting as long as these rechargables. Our only regret is there was no documentation about recharging times or anything. No documentation whatsoever.

    Charging Time for Model V-888N
    Rick,
Hope the following info is useful for you.

    Charging Time:
    Ni-Cd 2 x AA 5 hours, 4 x AA 7 hours
    Ni-MH 2 x AA 10 hours, 4 x AA 14 hours

When charging only 2AA cells, place cells in the side marked "1" of battery compartment.
The red light turns on to indicate that the cells are properly charging; both red lights turn of when 4 AA cells are properly charging.

If the red light fails to glow:
Unplug the charger and check to see that the cells have been inserted properly.

Remove cells, wipe off cell and charger contacts, reinst cells.

    Great product
These batteries work wonderfully in my flash. Flash recycles fast, lots of pics before recharging. Much better than the lower mA batteries. However, wouldn't power a digital camera I borrowed for a w/e, whereas a couple fresh DuraCells (nonrechargable) did.

Also use em to power other battery eaters, such as my eTrex GPS. Feel I get decent service from the batteries.

Definitely plan to get another set when these die.

    Worth the extra price
This kit comes with everything you need to 'go rechargable' with one of today's digital cameras. I use it for my Nikon Coolpix and have noticed that one full charge of the 1450 mA batteries lasts 5-6 times as long as the disposable alkaline batteries that came with the camera. Full recharging takes about 3 hours. The plug on the back of the charger folds up into the unit so you can slip it into your pocket or bag with no problem and be rechargable anywhere!

Overall, slightly more expensive than other units out there, but worth it. Be sure to get 1450 mA NiMH (nickel metal hydride) batteries if you're going to buy extra batteries with it; you'll find all kinds of uses for them (pager, penlight, handheld games, etc.)

Should be standard equipment with Nikon Coolipx 950
Like the previous reviewer, I also purchased the Kodak NiMh batteries and charger and have found it to be a much-needed improvement to the standard package. Too bad Nikon doesn't include this as standard equipment with its digital cameras. My wish list: an automotible cigarette-lighter adapter so I can recharge batteries "on the fly". Overall, a quality product that functions as advertised and provides good value for the money.

    1850 MA batteries with this?
Sorry to type a question in the reviews. Unable to determine what is included.

    USB Connector is large
I have a HP Omnibook 4150 and jornada 560, I do hate traveling with the original charger and cradle, I was excited finding a single lightweight cable that do both functions, but before I purchase it, I read all the customer reviews and I found strange the Amazon's...product review explaining that the cable simply does not work until he received two more from iConcepts support with different configurations. Any way I decided to buy it and guess what?... it charges the PDA but does not sync!, it is recognized when it is plugged between PC and PDA but just in the minute you expect to see files synchronizing it appears a "No connected" window.
Due to [the] review I thought that maybe one cable was maybe making shortcut or that one connector cable was swapped... I tested both the cable and the original hp cradle with a "multimeter" expecting to find something different but unfortunately both were exactly the same!. I have access to the HP Jornada's support center technicians and they can't find an answer to what's happening. I tried with another jornada and friend's PC (expecting that mine were having a problem) but it made the same error. There are two things that I believe are happening:
    1) The cable can't support the bandwidth required to do sync.
    2) The connector pins are slightly shorter that the hp cradle so maybe one of those are not making contact with the PDA.

...the solution was different!, I noticed that the USB connector in the plastic part was thicker than others, that avoid the cable to go all the way in, causing the "no conection messagge" so I handmade cut the plastic connector of the USB side, in order to the metallic conector and pins are longer like 1/8 inch and the cable works excelent!!! thats why I give 4 stars.

Nice portable alternative to the hot-sync cradle, but.....
This cable is a great portable alternative to the hot-sync cradle that comes with the Jornada, which tends to be bulky and difficult to carry. And while it functions just like the cradle, it allows you to charge your PDA directly from the computer/lap-top's USB port.

However, there is one shortcoming. Obviously, the level of power that the USB port provides is much less than that of a regular wall outlet. Consequently, charging time is greatly increased. because of this, I would only recommend the cable for travel when you can't bring the hotsync along.

    This product works well!
After reading some reviews I was concerned that this product would not work as advertised, but I am here to tell you that this product works very well!

    Timer Charger
This is a timed charger, but well matched to the supplied 2100mAh NiMH batteries. The manual recommends charging after a full discharge, so it may overcharge your partially depleted cell or an older cell with lower capacity. As long as you recharge a fully empty, ~2100mAh cell, it shall be fine.

The included cells, actually made by Sanyo-GE, are premium cells, and only surpassed by Sanyo's latest 2300mAh cells.

Seems Like Cool, But Shipping Delay is Dissappointing
I ordered this product a week ago and it's still not have been shipped; despite the "ships in 24 hours" expression.

The other items in the same order were delivered days ago, but Sony Power Charger is still waiting for shipment...

The Best Investment for All Your Battery Needs
This set includes 4 AA cells Made in Japan for Sony by Sanyo, as well as a timed charger, NOT a smart charger as its similar looking Sony variants.

The Sony Power Charger can recharge 4 AAA or AA cells at a time. Unlike the Panasonic BQ-390 which I also used and reviewed, this Sony uses a timer to stop charging. The Panasonic BQ-390 has advanced circuitry inside to monitor charging through temperature, voltage drop, and the cell's internal resistance, so that you'll get more precise charging and less damage from overcharging of simpler chargers. Sony also offers a similarly advanced product, but this model is a cheaper timed model. It charges the 2100mAH cells for 8 hours straight, or 800 mAh AAA cells for 7 hours straight. If you charge a partially used cell, it will not detect when the cell reaches full charge, and might overcharge. It's best to charge a fully depleted cell with timed chargers.

Great bargain but what's the point?
Its hard to beat the price. Most radios would cost more without a charger! But there is a catch. The radio output is 0.5W. Far less than the 2.0W allowed by GMRS. So this radio is only as good as a FRS radio with 7 extra GMRS channels.

But bare in mind that using GMRS radios require a license. If you are buying this for a child and not getting a license. It is like teaching him it is okay to break the law. And if you know what you are doing, why bother breaking the law for a half-baked GMRS radio?

    An Excellent Product and Value
What a pleasant surprise! Because these were so inexpensive, I was skeptical as to whether they would work for our intended purpose. We purchased these radios so that my husband could contact me from his workshop which is separate from our house. Except when he was running his power equipment, these radios came in loud and clear through several thicknesses of walls. The only reason I didn't rate these a "5" is because the instructions are terrible and took both of us to decipher. I'd recommend these to anyone.

Best Value for 20 bucks ever.
I've wanted a pair of 'shopping radios' for a long time. They needed to be rechargeable and come with batteries and charger. They also needed to be the slightly more powerful GMRS radios, not the weak FRS. These fit all categories.

What I was not prepared for was the price. I found these on a shelf below the GMRS peg wall at Wal-Mart, with no price indication. All the other GMRS packages with batteries and chargers were priced at $59.99 and above. I took this package to the register to ask what it cost. When the man scanned it he said, $20.

Needless to say, I bought them. Now whenever my family goes anywhere--to the park, to the mall, wherever, I have one of these and my wife has the other. They have no problem covering an entire mall while remaining intelligible. Outdoors, they are even better. There is absolutely no way any other brand new $20 product can touch these.

Sure, you can spend hundreds and get GPS or greater range, better clarity or longer battery life (these are actually very good in the battery-life department) but will it be a hundred dollars better? Only if you have to have GPS. In that case sure.

If you are like the other 98% of us, these radios will satisfy you in all the ways that matter, and any extra money you spend on fancier versions will be wasted.

On the road a lot? Have a Palm? Get one of these today...
One of the great selling points for me about the Palm m130 (beside the color screen) was the rechargeable internal battery...a battery I never guessed would deplete as quickly as it does. However, with my old m125 I noticed how quickly the AAA batteries would go if I used the backlight, so I shouldn't be surprised how much power it takes to create the color screen image on my Palm...I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but I was caught off guard anyway. The point is, whether you use your Palm a little or a lot, the battery gets sapped rather fast. One partial solution was the Palm Car Charger. I plug mine in every time I get into my car, whether I'm on a long or short trip. I have also noticed that it seemed to charge FOREVER without doing much in the way of actually increasing my battery, but after repeated use, I noticed it worked more efficiently. Whether this is a built-in feature, or just a fluke, I have no idea, but don't be surprised if at first you begin to think yours doesn't work.

All in all my car charger was well worth the expense. If you are having a hard time keeping your handheld from running dangerously low on battery power, you may want to consider buying this little baby and remember to give it some time before you worry about returning it for a refund. Good luck!

Not Perfect, But A Must Have
Essential equipment for the m515 user.

The device has a little light on its neck that turns from red to green when the battery has been fully recharged. I like this.

It seemed to take my m515 about an hour to take a full charge when I was on the road with it the first time, during which it was used very lightly (I looked up two phone numbers). I don't know if the speed is a function of the m515's battery or the charger itself.

The cord could be a little longer to enable easier use of the Palm whilst it is being charged.

    Works as it should
No complaints about this device. It works just as it should. I find it very handt when away from my desk for long periods of time, when I might not need a "sync" but just a charge.

    Simply The Best
It is surely a rare day when I buy a product that does exactly what I want and lives up to what the company says it can do.

Batteries fully charged in three hours, THE ABSOLUTE Winner hands down for staying power, my Toshiba digital would eat any other rechargeable, but with the Monster it lasts thru frame after frame, even with flash.(out performs projected #of frames). These people have made a friend for life!

Very good pack - long battery life
Just a solid battery pack for your digital camera. My brother-in-law used this product a ton but then he forgot it at my house over X-mas and I've been using it ever since. Batteries seem to last longer than other times and it does charge a little faster although I don't know if that is such an issue. Monster stuff tends to be a little expensive so I'm glad he forgot it at my place.

    batteries that work!
i purchased this item and have been impressed! the power cells hold a charge for a long time!! i have not lost power when using my digital camera with these batteries. i would recommend an extra set of power cells, so that you can always have back up...just in case! but, even after a trip to disney (with lots of pictures), i am still satisfied.
