Ran for a week and there was nothing on the filters!
I purchased this Ionizair hoping that it would be an inexpensive alternative to the much more expensive Ionic Breeze series from the Sharper Image. However, after just a week of running it in my room, there was nothing on the filters! I had placed it close to a particularly dusty area with plenty of ventilation on the sides (about 4 feet from the closest wall), but a week of running yielded nothing on the filters. Additionally, I am prone to allergies but my symptoms did not improve. I would not recommend this product. I returned it.

It worked great for a few weeks
I purchased two of these. One of them stopped working about three weeks after I began using it. I ended up wrapping both of them up and sending them back since Amazon will not take back anything after 30 days. Maybe I just got a lemon??

Great for smaller spaces
I hardly sneeze anymore, so I know this little sucker is working. It also adds a nice ozonic scent to the air. One day, when the price comes down on the substantial ionizers, I'll get one. But for now, this one fits the bill.

Okay product, except for..
1) it's all plastic

2) it's gonna cost you about... per year to keep this machine operating (replacement wick, air filter, and bacteria killing chemicals). that's a great business model for bemis, but not for the consumer. there are other models that humidify without wicks and without the use of chemicals.

Decent Humidifier, but the Air purity is lacking
This product definately lives up to the humidifier side, but I found that it was only decent as an air purifier, not really measuring up to some of Bemis' other fine products.

Great Product (but arduous to clean)
We bought this product, as part of our Dr. Weil '8 Weeks to Optimum Health' regimen. And, we really love it. During the winter, when the bedroom gets so dry, the humidifier really does the trick. And, it may be in our heads, but the air really does seem to be cleaner than in the rest of the house.

This product has great air quality ratings (HEPA, etc.) relative to other products in its price range, and was easy to set up, etc.

Our only gripe is that it is a bit of a pain to clean. You need to take it all apart, etc. However, this may be the case with all of these products, and thus, may just be par for the course.

We recommend this product whole-heartedly.

Not a good buy
To be completely truthful, i must mention that this one my FIRST purchase of an air purifier.

Reading about it online and the low price inclined me to buy a BAP825, it only lasted one day at my house because of the number of flaws i saw in the product. (doing countless # of readings about air purifiers paid off)
1. Even though it's a nice looking product with a stylish look, its looks are deceiving. Why?...first off look at the unit's front grill that suppose to blow all the clean air out. That long yet not so wide grill looks good enough to do an efficient job of air flow right? But what if the unit only blew air out from the far left side of grill. The unit i received had no air blowing from the center, or the right hand side(top to bottom). I called bionaire to complain and they replied "no...ALL of the units of this model are like that..even tho the grill is a nice size...only about 30% of it is actually used..having air blown out from a far corner is normal" Now try placing this unit in an angle all the time to have it blow straight.
2. Filter seems reasonably price?...wrong. Heres why. Bionair says to change the Hepa filter every 12-18 months and charcoal filter every 6 months. The problem with this unit is the hepa filter is combined with the charcoal filter (not separate)! Thus, for this unit u change the filter every 6-9 month instead, MAKING U BUY FILTERS TWICE AS MUCH AS OTHER UNITS. That mean in 18 month period u might have to change the filter for this unit 3 times ($40 x 3 =$120)!!!.
Misleading and awkward grill..but more importantly twice the filter cost made me return this unit and get the model BAP1175 instead...here's why:
Lets compare the cost of both units for 18 month.
BAP825
*cost = $99
*filter = $80 (giving them benefit of the doubt...changing only twice instead of 3 times)
*CADR =110 (clean air delivery rate, see www.cadr.org)
*suggested room size = 180 squared feet
TOTAL COST FOR 18 MONTHS = 179
BAP1175
*cost = $130
*filter = $44
*CADR = 140
*Suggested Room size = 217 squared feet
TOTAL COST FOR 18 MONTHS = $174
Lets see, you have a model (1175) that clean alot better (higher CADR), can handle a bigger room, and costs less at the end of the 18 months. Not to mention this better model will continue to cost half in future since BAP825 makes you replace filters twice as fast. THEN WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD U BUY AN INFERIOR PRODUCT JUST TO PAY MORE? Do yourself a favor...don't purchase this BAP825...go get yourself a 1175. BAP1175 is better, more powerful, and the initial unit's price difference is made up in the first six month when everyone who owns a 825 will be purchasing something you won't (a $40 filter).

Not sure how this one works??
I bought an 825U, for my home office. (I also own two of the BAP-1175 units, which I LOVE.) The 825 looks very sleek, and fits perfectly where I need it to go. But here's my concern with it: the room air is drawn in the back, and clean air is blown out the front -- which seems to me that the unit would be blowing the room air away from itself, effectively keeping most of the room air from being drawn into the filter. (??) The natural spot for this tower design is in a corner, or next to a desk or bookshelf. This puts the intake against the wall, where it doesn't seem to me that it could do very much intaking. Especially if the fans are blowing all the air away from the unit. I called Bionaire, and while they are consistently friendly and helpful, the only suggestion they could give was to place the unit more toward the center of a room. Obviously, that's rarely an option for most people. Maybe I'm thinking too much about all this, but it's something I'd love to get more information on. For now, I returned the 825, and got a second 1175. It takes up more space than the tower, but is a more effective purifying unit in my consumer-level opinion.

If anyone has thoughts or knowledge on this, please post!

Handspring Visors: Yes - Handspring Visor Edge: No
I hate it when a product uses too generic of descriptions for their device compatibility. I realize the product descriptions were probably writen well before the release of the Handspring Visor Edge, but their poor choice in specifying Visor models left me with a package of screen sheilds that are too big for my new handheld.

Oh well, live and learn - but anyone have any ideas of what shield fit my handheld?

It's like your handheld's wearing nothing at all
Tech Media makes an excellent, affordably-priced product that will protect your investment without making your Palm or Visor handheld screen hard to see or use.

Application was simple enough, as the shields act like those static-cling stickers that allow for easy removal. They're glossy and perfectly clear, and do not impact the contrast or resolution of your screen in any way. The writing surface is a little stickier, but it feels more like writing on paper than the unshielded screen does, which improves my Graffiti accuracy to a certain extent.

As for the size, I use these shields on a Handspring Visor Deluxe, and they're a perfect fit. As has been reported by other reviewers, they're not quite the right size for other Handspring models such as the Edge, but the instructions do prescribe trimming the shields in such cases.

This product is a must for Palm/Handspring device power users looking for the best screen protection available.

Mediocre
I bought this unit because, with hot water base board heat, it seemed the best way to add moisture to the air in my home. I have a two story house, just a bit more than 2000 square feet. When I first started using this unit, it was the middle of winter and my house had dried out considerably. An independent gauge measured the relative humidity level at less than 20%. I ran my Bemis unit at full fan but was never able to have it use up the 5.5 gallons onboard in a 24 hour period. To me, the claims of 12 gallons per day are a real stretch.

OK, that aside, here are the pros: The unit seems well made and assembles easily. For the rated output, the overall size seems compact.

Now the cons: Output seems to fall short of claims. The replacement air filter seems very expensive. The highest speed of the fan is very loud and, for me, only to be used when no one is at home.

My two biggest gripes have to do with filling. The water tanks do NOT have a fill cap on their top surface, therefore you MUST remove the tanks to fill them. I would have liked the option of filling them inside the console. When you fill the tanks, they wobble on whatever surface you place them on because there is a seam running right down the middle of the bottom of the tanks making a raised area. This is a pain when you try to get the sink faucet to flow into the small hole used for filling. To be fair, Bemis supplies a fill tube which could be used, but only on small diameter faucets.

Before buying this unit, I searched a reasonable amount and could not find anything better, therefore I intend to keep it since having any humidifier is better than being without one.

Evaluation of Data-Vac vacuum
Built well but not quite enough suction as I would have expected. Accesories are ok but not outstanding.
Compact and easy to use. Motor gets quite hot under use. The instruction states not to use more than 15 minutes steady as motor can overheat. It's supposed to have overload protection. That remains to be seen. Motor also gets quite hot when air is restricted through small attachments on blow cycle. It is ok for ocassional use, but not for heavy duty use.

Don't expect a lot...
Don't expect your dvds to come out to "like new" condition. You can only get "like new" results from professional type of machines costing at least five hundred dollars.

With that said, it does repair scratched discs so that the movie or the music plays without skipping or freezing anymore. It does leave circular scratch marks, which are made by the buffing pads on the machine. As for the 'cleaning' cycle where you have to use a gritty type of solution, it leaves a hazy film which I think is supposed to be hazy as it forms a protective layer from further scratches.

Use it if you have a bunch of scratched dvds or cds that are skipping and you want them to be playable again. But, don't expect for them to look brand new again.

Useless
The SkipDoctor ruined any discs i used it on, despite my reading every word in the manual and following any bit of advice i could get from reviews on this site.

I was missing some parts too.
The extra resurfacing wheel was missing. So was the severe-scratch pad. I got only one felt buffing pad, the drying cloth, manual, liquid the power adapter.

But it did fix my Crazy Taxi PS2 disc that I bought at a pawn shop. There are still deep scratches but they don't seem to effect the game the way they used to. I'd use it again for other CDs, but knowing I don't have a third of what's listed that better be mildly scratched discs.

It works but it's not a miracle-worker
We have used our disk doctor for about three years now and are very pleased with the results. We have salvaged more than 5 Playstation games that got abused by my teenage son (who leaves them lying around the room, out of their cases). I figure that I'm $150 ahead of the game, despite the cost of the resurfacing wheels.

Remember that it works by removing a single layer of plastic (and the scratches in that layer) on the disk. If your scratches are deeper, you may have to use it a couple of times. If your scratches penetrate to the layer where the data are stored, then you are out of luck and need to buy a new CD/DVD/game.

But for about 80% of the problem disks out there, it really works great!

I take it back!
I only got 4 usable protectors out of this. The other 8 are too small for a IIIxe.

This does NOT have a 12 month supply for a Palm III. It has a 4 month supply for 3 different units (including a CE machine).

Good product, but misleading
Overall this is a pretty good thing to buy for your Palm. Especially if you are sick of all those fingerprints on your screen! But, the writeright screen protecters are great for graffiti recognition but decrease screen readability by 10 fold. But, if you just cut them to fit the graffiti area they are great! And also note that there are not 12 writerights there are four for Palms, four for just the Palm V, and four for CE divices. The BrainWASH concept is great and makes your screen look like new! Enjoy and note the great price here on Amazon!

Feels better than standard screen
The IIIxe screen feels like I'm dragging my stylus across plastic-wrap, this product feels like I'm actually writing on paper. The screen protection is a great bonus. I've only used one, and apparently (from reading other reviews) this comes with different sizes... Hmm, I'll have to look again. Pretty sure I can cut them to fit tho. The pen cap-stylus things are about useless. Just my humble opinion tho.

Cheap price, cheap film
This flimsy film bubbles up and makes the screen fuzzy. Stay away and don't waste your money.

Not a winner
First of all, this was very overpackaged. I got a 12 inch x 9 x 4 box for a 4 inch tall product that wasn't even breakable.

My main complaint is that, unlike the misleading picture above, the protectors dont cover the whole screen. I have about a half a centimeter gap at the top of my m130, and a small gap around the other edges. I suppose they could improve your handwriting, but all they do is make your stylus move slower. There are little bubbles all over the screen, and the credit card-like thing they give you to smooth them out doesn't even fit your palm correctly, and doesn't work well. In under a minute of writing, the screen was already very scratched up.

Unless you are loosing sleep over your palm screen or having problems with people putting their fingers on it, I wouldn't recommend buying these (they are also very overpriced).

Works fine!!
These screen savers work just fine, and this is by far the best price out there with out sacrificing quality. Highly recommend!!
