    Does the job.
This system has three components: 1) a brush mounted on a CD for cleaning your CD/DVD laser lens, 2) a rotary compartment for cleaning the surface of CDs, and 3) a bottle of solvent. Although the equipment is not very sturdy, it does the job. When you put the laser-lens brush disk in your CD drive, it auto plays and give you information about the basics of drive cleaning (with language tracks in English, Spanish, and French). A track then runs that sweeps the brush over the laser lens.

The CD cleaner removes fingerprints and dirt from the surface of disks (including CDs, DVDs, Xbox games, etc.) It is important to realize that it DOES NOT REMOVE SCRATCHES. To clean a disk, you insert it in the compartment, spray solvent on the playing surface, close the lid, and rotate a lever about 20 times. The disk comes out with a small amount of residue that dries in a few seconds.

If you are cleaning a number of disks at once (which is most likely the case), you do not need to spray each disk. If you do, the cleaning pad will saturate, leaving an excess of solvent on the disk. It will evaporate, but will leave "streak marks." I found that spraying every second or third disks works fine.

        Good for the price.
This tape is great! Don't let the price fool you. If you think that this looks cheap compared to some and won't work well, that's not correct. It cleans the video heads in a dry cleaning format very well. The reason i took 1 stars off is because you can only use the tape twice, which probably explains the cheap price, and because the tape is overpriced compared to other retailers selling it on the market on line.

        Nice investment
This is a very nice investment for the Palm. I recently bought it at Amazon and I really don't think I can find a shield like this that can beat the price. It's quite hard to stick on the Palm, but after that, you'll never be scared of scratches on your screen. Just think, buy a shield now and don't wait for your Palm to need a replacement screen that will cost hundreds. This is definitely a must-buy.

        Fits our needs perfect!
We bought my daughter and son-in-law an original Roomba for their wedding this summer. She's a little on the practical side, he's a little like me, likes gadgets. We thought this would be a perfect gift. They loved it! So much, that they were looking forward to bringing it back to our house to show us how great it was. If it passed their expectations, we had to have one ourselves. Low and behold...we found new models, the Pro & Pro Elite. After carefully searching the internet I found there are many different packages available. We ended up purchasing a Pro model package that included 2 extra filters, two virtual walls, and the remote that actually activates the same features the Pro Elite model provides.

        There's Pro's & Con's depending on your expectations;

It can follow the outer wall perimeter of a room, work it's way around furniture and back to the wall. It has deliberation in it's pattern madness. It WILL cover the entire room. Unfortunately, the battery charge does not accomodate a very large room. We purchased a rapid charger (2.5 hrs.) and an extra battery to keep Roomba ready to go.

With minor room prepping to eliminate wires, "wedge" shaped areas under furniture, frayed area rugs, you can turn it loose and let it work while you're gone. It simply stops when the charge runs out. But you need to make sure the room is prepped as Roomba will cry for help if in a situation he can't get out of. I won't go into details but Roomba does have some personality.

The heavy elevated furniture (bed, couch, curio) that can't get moved weekly, can now be cleaned under weekly.

The only features that kept me from giving this 5 stars is: The catch bin is very small. The battery run time is around an hour, at best. The recharge time is around 12 hours. I had to buy more accessories to make Roomba fit my needs.

If you're looking for a hepa vacumn that will keep your home dust free, forget about the Roomba. If it requires too much work to pick up the clutter in your home to run Roomba, you need a bigger vac anyway. It's not a one shot house cleaning miracle.

If you want some low maintenance help in your busy life to keep your floors cleaner between regular vacumnings, Roomba will do that...in an entertaining fashion.

        VaRoomba! Roomba! Roomba!
I'm now on my second RoombaPro. The first died just under warranty even though I was assiduous about cleaning it between uses. It was cheerfully replaced via mail by IRobot--no questions asked.

That said, I'm a Roomba fan. Since the machine cycles over the floor again and again, it gets things a lot cleaner than I do while vacuuming by hand. It's especially impressive at picking up Golden Retriever fur and dust from our bare floors and berber carpeting. I can vacuum by hand and then immediately get better results with Roomba.

If you have pile carpeting, avoid it, since battery power gives it limited abilities to deal with the greater resistance of deeper piles.

Consumer Reports recently ran a largely negative review that failed to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the product. (Typical CR: trash whatever is unusual.) If you're an "early adopter" willing to do the upkeep on the machine, if you're interested in watching the Roomba at work and figuring out its cleaning algorithm, if you'd rather not spend time vacuuming--get a Roomba. If you're not a little "handy," if you have deeper pile rugs, don't bother.

I recommend that any prospective purchaser read all the Amazon reviews before purchasing.

By the way, the Roomba is perfect for cleaning pool tables!

        Roomba works for me
Before i start my review let me explain how my house is set up. i live in a one bedroom apt with one cat and no rugs. i have been using the roomba now for about 3 weeks and i do have to say over all i am very impressed with it. it does however require a little bit of maintenance to keep it up and running in prime condition but nothing to complicated. and i do highly suggest getting the rapid charger you will need it because the battery doesnt really last long enough to get the whole house done on one charge. i cant really say how well it would work in a house with more then one pet or even with rugs....but for a single guy its worth it

        Bagless doesn't mean messless
I had a Hoover with a bag that was pushing eight years, so I thought this model looked like a decent replacement, and I liked the idea of the fold-down handle. However, after having to dump out the container and clean the filter, I'm still wondering what's so great about a bagless vacuum. I'd rather replace a bag four times a year than wrestle with the mess of the bagless after every couple of vacuums. I do like the fold-down handle, although it makes getting the power cord wound correctly a bit difficult, and this model has larger wheels than my old one, which makes handling a bit better. It's decent, but if I had pets or kids probably wouldn't be sufficient.

        Wish I had Waited
A good deal at $59.99, especially after I paid $84.14 to Amazon and now feel like a sucker.

Small, Compact & Doesn't wake the babies!
When I opened the box from Amazon.com and saw this vacuum, I was amazed at how much smaller it was than my Dirt Devil Bagless. I was a little worried that it wasn't what I expected and that I would have to return it but I was completely unprepared for the power of the little vacuum.
The first thing that I noticed was that it almost propelled itself across my carpet. Then I was amazed how much quieter it is than my previous vacuums. The kids weren't scared of the loud noise and my baby slept through it.
The fold down handle is SO convenient. I don't have a lot of storage room and in the past it was a pain to have to take my vacuum into the basement to store. It fits perfectly in my bedroom closet and I don't even notice it. As for the previous reviews that I read before purchasing it that stated it was a pain to clean the vacuum after you vacuum, that isn't true at all. The easy handle on the canister makes it a breeze to just take outside and dump into my trash can. I never have had to "vacuum off the vacuum when done" as some of the other reviews have stated. However, I did plug it up but that was my own fault for trying to make it suck up dry expanded foam insulation that was a foot high and I just wanted to see if it could do it. It did it but I caught a piece that was way too big and it lodged inside the hose. Compared to the hours that I have spent trying to unplug a clog in a dirt devil bagless, this was no big deal at all!!! The hose is somewhat transparent and I could spot right away where the clog was. I just squeezed the hose to break the large piece of insulation and it cleared right up. I have not needed to empty it everytime I vacuum like another review stated and I even have kids that drag cereal and such all over the carpet. My kids recently decided to pour out 2 boxes of Kix cereal on the floor while I was potty training another and boy, was I thankful for this vacuum. It is so easy to use that my 4 year old loves to vacuum his room although it is still a little big for him.
Overall, I am absolutely delighted and in love with this vacuum!! It fits right in with a busy house of children and is perfect for a home with limited storage space. It is so much quieter than the larger vacuums and has so much more power.

        Accept no Substitutes
I'm allergic to just about everything. Let's put it this way, when I got my tests back from the Allergist I *wasn't* allergic to feathers. That was it, everything else came back positive. I'm allergic to dust, mold, grass, trees, pet dander, ... the list could go on, but I think you get the point.

I bought this product for use in the master bedroom ( roughly 17' x 20' in size), to clean out the allergens. Since it was going in the bedroom, I was very concerned about the noise. This has not been an issue. It runs continuously on the low setting and it really is quite. Most people don't even notice it.

Again, running continuously on the low setting, I've found the pre-filters need changing about every 2 to 3 months and the HEPA filter is just now indicating it needs changing after about 15 months. I think this seems a reasonable amount of time for the filters to last.

Changing the filters, however, is my one and only complaint. Did I mention I was allergic to dust? Opening the cleaner to change filters -- especially changing the pre-filter -- is not easy to do without getting dust all over yourself and in the air. Even though I change the filters as soon as the light indicates, there is a lot of dust not firmly trapped in the filter. When you remove the velcro straps holding the pre-filter in place, the dust gets airborne and gets on you..

That being said, it does seem to have made my bedroom a much more pleasant place to live. I've noticed that during the spring and fall pollen seasons that I'm sleeping better at night. I attribute that to the good job the air filter is doing. There may be cheaper air cleaners on the market, but why settle for a substitute? After a year of using it, I'm convinced it was worth every cent I paid for it.

Whisper Quiet HEPA Filtered Air Cleaner
As someone who is highly allergic to cigarette smoke and other air pollutants and irritants, I purchased a round Honeywell HEPA air filter when it first came on the market several years ago. It still works well in the living room, but it is quite noisy even on its lowest setting.

Recently, I decided to purchase another air cleaner with a HEPA filter for my bedroom because I had contacted bacterial pneumonia last year and wanted to make sure I did not get it again.

This air cleaner really works! This winter I have not had a cold or flu. Also, this Honeywell Air Cleaner with HEPA filter is whisper soft, and I have had no problem sleeping when it is running on the low and medium settings. I leave it on all the time, and I've found that it works best when the door is closed.

It has a convenient handle on the top, so I can move it to another room quite easily. The prefilters last about 3-6 months, (and they can be vacuumed if you have pets who shed). I change my HEPA filter every year, but you can wait 3 years to do so. These filters are easy to change.

Highly recommended for anyone who has pets, who lives with or entertains people who smoke, and who is allergic to dust, molds, or pollens.

Breath of Fresh Air -- Literally
I live in an apartment in downtown Seattle. We had terrible problems with dust and road grime making its way onto our shelves and counters -- I had to dust thoroughly every weekend. So I was very excited to get this air filter. It is pretty loud on the highest level, but obviously that is not a problem when you aren't at home. At its lowest level it isn't any louder than the hum of a quiet refrigerator. And it kicks out really clean, cool fresh air. It's about the size of a large hat box, and it is very light weight and has a convenient handle at the top for easy carrying. I carry it from my living room to my bedroom every night. Only one problem--the air it produces, while very clean, is also very dry and when I slept with it on in my bedroom all night, I woke up with dried out, painful sinuses. However, this air cleaner has made a noticeable difference in the quality of the air in my home and I would recommend it.

        Good idea, poor quality control
5 years of extensive research and development? Hah! It's a sanding wheel mounted on a hand held crank. It essentially works, removing most minor scratches from discs, but you can accomplish the same thing with 2,000 grit or higher sandpaper. Which is what the device basically is: a handheld system of gears attatched to a crank in a handheld plastic housing. A flexible wheel with a strip of finishing sandpaper glued on turns above the rotating CD tray, "sanding" the disc at a 90 degree angle from the rotation direction. It works in theory, but the one I bought suffered from numerous manufacturing defects, like gears that jammed internally due to inadequate lubrication, a CD tray with a retainer wall that was too high and sharp and consequently ripped the paper off the sanding wheel. I don't think it's an isolated case, as two replacement discs I bought were glued improperly at the overlapping seams and destructed within a few uses. Maybe they needed TEN years of R&D?

read instructions on the website before using!
As with most products, the efficacy of the Skipdr depends on how well the instructions are followed. Go to www.skipdr.com and read all the instructions before you proceed. This is a great device if used correctly. I have repaired playstation 2 games that were not even being recognized by the system because of damage; now they work perfectly well. My only complaint is the quality of the resurfacing wheel. Mine was glued unevenly and fell apart after about twenty uses. So, I bought a new resurfacing wheel - no big deal! Note to the reviewer who complained about the residue on the CD: this is residue that the skipdr is removing from the CD and indicates it is being repaired (as you would have found out had you read the instructions!).

        Life Saver
Our son got a playstation game for his birthday, the first time he tried to play it, it wouldn't work because of scratches we found on it. After talking to quite a few people we bought a skip doctor. We tried it on his game and it worked perfectly. This product is not for smudges or fingerprints, it is for scratches. We were told it actually takes a "layer" off to get rid of the scratches. The buffing just takes a few minutes. We have not tried it on a DVD or an audio cd, but it works great on playstation games.
