This lens is great!! I used it to photograph the giant pandas at the National Zoo and I got so many good close-ups. I strongly suggest this lens!!!!

This lens is great for outdoor and travel photography, when you don't have space to bring a lot of gear. The zoom works, sliding the outer barrel forward and back, and the autofocus works well in outdoors, at day, with enough light, and I can assure that works very well at Tv mode shooting dolphins in motion, the pictures were very sharp. It has a little problem with low light situations, but it possibly be a camera concern (Rebel 2000) and not a lens trouble. So it's a very good option for a cheap lens. If you are an amateur you will not notice any difference between a picture taken with this lens and another taken with lenses over the $300 Range.

Very odd -- the description says to order now to get on line for when it's available, but 18 hours after I ordered two of them they were delivered. Even with super saver shipping, which is supposed to take 9 days. It's like I have an Amazon shipping facility in my basement. If you order it, you'd better be ready for it!

I also live in downtown Manhattan, and construction on my building's roof has been spewing dust and dirt everywhere. I have this air purifier in my bedroom, and it has been very effective with reducing my usual spring allergy symptoms.

Most of all, I love the fact that this air purifier is so effective without being loud like other air purifiers -- while it isn't quite "silent," on low the air purifier is whisper quiet, so I have no trouble falling asleep with it on. I also like the "no draft" technology, so it also isn't windy like other air purifiers.

The only thing I would add to other reviews is that it is actually a little bigger than it appears in this picture. The fact that it can't be placed flush against a wall is a downer, but overall, I have been very happy with this purchase! Also, I inexplicably received this just one day after I ordered it even though the listing says it is not currently in stock.

We live in a "rear" studio apartment in Manhattan. There is major construction in the backyard with Jackhammers busting large granite rocks! The dust raised is incredible. This is a daily event for a few weeks to come. A fine layer of dust settles on everything daily. However our new (had it 2 weeks) 18150 has enabled us to breath without sneezing and our eyes have stopped watering. I use all 3 speeds. Hi when we are out, medium when we are home, low for sleeping. While for safety reasons I can't "recommend" this, due to lack of space in our little studio I hang the device from the ceiling using the handle and it seems happy to be there. The control panel is right next to the staircase to the sleeping loft so it's a snap to change the speeds. Tip: to avoid a "a bit of dust falling out" when changing the "pre-filter" give it a bit of vacuuming from the outside (all around) prior to removal of the bottom pre filter access door. (Extra easy to access when hanging!)

After purchasing and using the Coolpix 900 for nearly a year, I realized that in order to take much of a wide angle shot than the camera zoom alone would allow, something more was needed.
Well the WC-E53 is just that item. It perfoms just as you would expect from any Nikon lens and the only area of difficulty is that you cannot use the built in flash with the lens in place. I have yet to have any circumstance that would require the internal flash. There is always the external flash that would be available and needed to illuminate the wide angle area anyway.
Easy to use, just screw it on and set the menu for wide angle lens. On and off in seconds. Less peripheral angular distortion
than I expected. Overall very high recommended.

Very sturdy, clean crisp lens. It comes with a nice velour bag, and two lens caps. It covers up 90% of the flash, so ambiant light (or external flash) is needed to take good pictures.

You screw the lens on, set your 990 to "M", and through the menu, you select "Wide Angle", and you're good to go.

No distortion is apparent on the pictures, which are the same excellent quality you're used to from the 990.

If you are finding that your 3x zoom is going in the opposite direction of what you want then get this wide angle lens.

I was impressed with the quality of the images that this lens can produce. There is very little distortion except when used at very short focal lengths.

The only downsides are the size of the lens, the weight, and the fact that it blocks the optical viewfinder.

The picture is terrific, DVDs are amazing, and it has some pretty funky headphones. This television has everything I need, especially the right number of inputs. I have a Sony DVP-C650D 5-disc DVD player and a good Sony Hi-Fi VCR, and was sick of a lack of the right kind of inputs in my old set. This is not a problem with this XBR as it has 1 Component Video (awesome), 2 S-Video (great), and several Composite Video (required for any TV) inputs.

I have only noticed two downsides to this set:
The price and some discoloration while watching the Food Network. The bottom of Emiral's face looks yellow.

Just buy this set if you have the loot, and get some good composite video cables for your DVD player.
Also, make sure you set your DVD player to 16:9 aspect ratio. You'll notice the difference when watching widescreen content.

The only thing that could make the Triniton Wega XBR television any better is if it were an HDTV model with a 16:9 aspect ratio. I'm sure that Sony will come out with such a model in a few years and I'm sure I'll buy it. Picture quality on the Wega is excellent, the quality of DVDs through the s-video and component video ports is excellent, from a normal viewing distance it is almost as if you are watching HDTV. The quality of VHS tapes through the composite video ports is also excellent, I watched some of my old tapes the other night and saw things in them that I had never seen before. The only two downsides to the Wega are the weight, this model weighs about 180 pounds, and the cheap stand that comes with it. Skip the stand and go for a decent TV stand from a third-party and you'll be very happy with this model, I know that I am.

I bought this tv when my Sony KP-53XBR300 53" Projection TV went out after six years(the red "pot" went nova) and to fix it was out of the question. As the Sony KP-53V80 had very good reviews I went for it. Bad idea for me as the more I watch it the worse the picture gets. Sharpness was nowhere to be found, the soft colors will not blend, and an all black screen has an area that shows white. The Sony KP-53XBR300 53" Projection TV was the best I had ever seen. The reviewers for the Sony KP-53V80 said it had the best picture. Not this one. I bought this one for the price and the reviews, I should have paid more and got the Sony KP-53XBR300. Just thought you might want to know.

When my Sony 53"XBR300 went nova and I was told by fourrepair men that it would cost too much to repair...I wentshopping and I came across these reviews. As most of the the reviews said that the picture was the best they have ever seen I thought that I would save.... Now I wish that I had spent the extra bucks and got another XBR300. .... My equipment is top shelf with a Sony DVP-S7700 connected with Monster component video cables and I use a Sony satellite system (SAT-A50, refined with a REPLAYTV. Selecting the picture mode from the presets was not much help as the "Vivid" selection was worthless, the "Standard" was the factory preset, too bright. The "Movie, Personal 1 and 2" modes can be adjusted but getting warmth and sharp is next to impossible, at least on the set I got. One of the nice touches on the V80 was the convergence adjustment, which is automatic. As I don't use cable or the sound from the tv very often I won't review those features. So, maybe it is the set I bought and maybe it is the best I can expect for the price. I did not buy it for the whistles and bells: I really bought it for the monitor (CRT) and that is my disappointment.

This was my first large screen tv purchase and I was a little apprehensive that the picture might fade from view as you move side to side.

The Sony has no fade that I have been able to see. It has a clear picture -- similar to looking at a regular "tubed" TV.

The only complaints I have are:

a) The remote control is very touchy. The large buttons stick out a ways and I'm always brushing up against them by accident.

b) The speakers seem a little underpowered. I don't know if these large screen tvs are meant to have external speakers, but I sometimes have trouble hearing the sound. The brilliant picture however makes up for this shortcoming.

I recommend this TV as a real solid purchase. Everyone who has come over remarks on how clear and nice the picture is.

I use this lens on the Canon Digital Rebel. It gives me great color & sharpness up to 11x14. Canon makes better lens than this but for this price range you can't beat it. I'd reccommend it to any one. If I lost this one today I'd order another one tomorrow.

I bought this lens as a general use lense when I picked up my Canon A2e several years ago. This is the lens that has lived on that camera for 99% of the time.

While this is no pro lens, for the money, you can't beat it. It's great for indoors, family shots, tight facials of the children or pets, and landscapes. it has enough flexability to take the average photographer where you want to go.

For the digital SLR cameras with the smaller sensors, the 28mm wide end may be limiting, I don't know (yet), but for 35mm film, this baby is wonderful for the money!

I also bought this lens for my Canon Digital Rebel and i think it is a really nice little lens. it is well constructed with a metal lens mount and has a super fast and quiet USM motor. be sure you get this lens and not the cheaper F4 version!

the Canon 28-135IS is also a fantastic lens but it costs twice as much and is also larger. so if you are in the market for a high quality Canon lens that does not cost an arm and a leg then i would highly suggest you get this one.

To be fair, the first week I used it, it was wonderful. Within an hour of turning it on it took all the cigarette odor out of the room and I could smell the air refresheners again. But after that it just went downhill fast.

This Vornado air purifier arrived on mid to late September, and by the end of October it was time for a new Hepa Replacement Filter..., and a new pack of carbon filters...After only 6 weeks???

The room that this Vornado system is in is 10x9, hardly a large room, but within 6 weeks of buying this unit the filters need to be replaced.

And by the way...it is LOUD!
I have to turn it completely off when I'm on the phone, or I can't hear the conversation.
The medium setting is so loud it gives me a headache.

My roommate owns another air purifier and he makes comments about what a bad purchase my Vornado was because his is quiet and really purifies the air. He smokes three packs a day and you'd never know it with his filter.

One last thing...if you look at the Vornado replacement filters, both the hepa and the carbon, you'll notice theyre usually 1-2 weeks before they ship. Keep that in mind and order very early, as I've been waiting 3 week now and still haven't gotten my filters. And except for amazon I can't find anyone else who sells them. Not even on the manufacturers website.

I *cough* wish I bought a different air purifier *cough* *cough*.

We have allergies. We are living in a small apartment. I took a chance on this unit because we had a small HEPA filter before and it does help to freshen air quite a bit.

The good news: this unit circulates a good amount of air--we are able to filter most of a small open studio apartment with it. The air seems fresher and "lighter" after running the filter all day. Nice to rid the air of cooking odors, cat fluff, dust and pollen.

The bad news: on any setting but the lowest, you do hear the fan. Vornado is excellend at creating units that move air efficiently but like any good-sized fan, it makes noise when it's really cranking.

The design is unobtrusive and fits behind an armchair. On the whole, we are pleased with it, and it does help the air quality to a satisfactory extent.

Like many other air filters, this features a squirrel cage blower to decrease noise. Five speed fan. Top exhaust. Easy to clean inlet louvers (the whole front panel removes quickly and easily for washing and the louvers are spaced apart so you can get in there with your hand). The large HEPA filter has a washable and cheap to replace pre-filter. The filtration path is excellent and sealed to prevent bypass flow.

The only downside is the noise (all of these air cleaners are loud, in my opinion because they all are made of lightweight materials) and the cost of filter replacement. The HEPA filter is about [price] to replace and, although that is ridiculously expensive, all the air cleaners are that much.

Vornado seems to make excellent products and they certainly didn't rush to market with this one. They took the time to design it right.

I had this unit a little over a year when the fan motor died. Worked perfectly until that happened 24x7. I think for someone who need ocational air cleaning it would be good, but if you want a unit to run 24x7 look elsewhere...

I live downstairs in an apartment building, and the quiet setting is great to filter out noise from my upstairs neighbors. Very happy with this purchase

I purchased this filter a month ago. I love it. The UV light is awesome for the price and best of all this is a fairly quiet filter. I love the quick clean setting and use it after the dog has been in the room. It has made a huge difference and my husband and I are both sleeping much better. Highly recommended. You can't get a better filter for the money.

The world's first interchangeable lens with a built-in image Stabilizer (IS), the Canon EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lens - designed exclusively for Canon EOS cameras, dramatically reduces the chance of a blurred photograph due to camera motion ("camera shake") especially when shooting at long focal lengths with slow shutter speed. Controlled by a built-in 16-bit microcomputer, a series of gyro sensors and micro-motors instantly shift one of the lens groups to compensate for inadvertent camera motion. A very practical benefit of the IS system is a reduction in the old "focal length = shutter speed" rule by two full stops. Now you can expect sharp pictures at 200 mm with a shutter speed of only 1/60th second!

This lens has changed my whole outlook on photography. Compared to my old Canon T50 80-210mm lens, this lens is 10 times better. I can zoom up to 300mm and with image stabilizer on and get breathtakingly clear pictures that are bright colorful and just plan beautiful, even in cloudly weather.

The lens is quite heavy and feels solid compared to cheaper Canon lenses. It costs about twice as much as canon's non stabilizing lense but definitely worth the extra [price]...

I'm hoping this lense last me for years as I am just really happy that it takes awesome photos. Don't think twice about buying this one, spend the extra $$ and you really won't be sorry.

I use this lens with my Digital Rebel 6.3 megapixel camera. I'm one of those shaky photographers, and I knew from past film camera that anything beyond 150mm I would not be able to keep steady enough. I also wanted to have the ability to take photos in low light situations beyond 100mm.
This lense is basically the most affordable that Canon offers with this range flexibility (100-300mm) and with autofocus and image stabilization. Canon makes a wide array of higher end lenses, and some will offer faster image stabilization or clearer picture quality, but for most photographers, you'll find this lense works very well.
If you use the image stablization a lot (like for every picture) you may want to carry a spare battery too, as the IS feature does cause some minor battery drain depending on how much you use it. I found with my Rebel that adding the battery grip with both batteries installed not only lets me take pictures (tons of pictures!) but it also further helps balance the weight of the camera with this lense attached.
