Nice Bargin, Great TV for under $2200
I like this TV. Great multi-window feature and I love the screens outer design. Very stylish, looks very modern and professinal. Great picture, works great with DVD, feels just like the theater, without spending over $5000 on a 16:9 HDTV. I just bought a Pioneer ELITE HDTV for my bedroom, and it's the only TV that's superior to this one.

love it
As a photography student I fell in love with this lens the moment that I got it. It has a good zoom without being heavy and doesn't make me feel like a tabloid reporter. The range is perfect for day to day use because it allows you to get close as well as shoot from clear across the street. 28 is a decent wide angle and the 300 is fabulous. A purchase that I would make again. The greatest part about this is that you aren't forced to change your lens over and over to capture different kinds of shots. You can leave the standard lens at home. The camera of fashion photographers, Nikon delivers on quality as always. The lens also adapts to all Nikon models. A good buy if not one of the best that I have ever made for my camera. Of course they already said all of this in the other blurb, but I just had to back them up on what they said earlier.

Bionare BAP 1300
This is my second bionaire unit that I purchased and I love both models. Orginally, I had bought both units to prevent bad colds and so far it seems to be helping. I live in condo and I have no cross venilation and having both units makes a real difference in the air quality. With mutiple fan settings you can set at low speed and sleep without too much noise. I find that I'm sleeping a lot better now. If your bedroom size is around 11x14 or less I would suggest getting the BAP1175 and not the BAP1300 otherwise you'll freeze!
The only downside is that the HEPA filters are not cheap although they last anywhere from 12-18 months. I've been running it for 2 months now and the filter is 95% so it should last about 18 months or so.

Works Great!
I have had my other Bionaire tabletop air cleaner for years and never had a problem with it, so I wasn't concerned about investing in the big one. I have a very large bedroom (about 15 x 18) and several dogs in here at night. The amount of dust and other allergens this unit controls is extraordinary. Yes, it's noisy when on high speed - but it's a powerful unit and noise is to be expected. I find that the "sleep" mode is quite tolerable and provides a pleasant "white" noise at night.... and the "sleep" mode is generally adequate during the day, as well. I've had my unit for nearly five months and it has performed beautifully and is easy to clean.

Nice quality & quiet
After much research, including some very helpful sites like www.cadr.org and www.aham.org, and various allergy websites, I decided on the Bionaire BAP1300 due to the amount of air it cleans, its warranty, and its noise rating. The unit arrived in a manufacturer's double box and was easy to setup.
So far, I am not disappointed. In "sleep" mode, I don't have to turn up the TV to watch it. In "low" mode, it is barely louder. I am not sure that "medium" or "high" are needed. This moves so much air on the lower settings. Air is taken in the front, and exhausted from the top.
The backlit display comes in handy. The remote is not really necessary, but I have found myself using it.
My daughters have alergy problems and, since this has been running (24x7) there haven't been any issues.
I feel this air cleaner is worth the money.

Tube Failure - Customer Support
I bought my set 4 years ago and just like Jeff in the first review, the service man says that the tube is defective and that I need a new tube and it would be cheaper to buy another set.
I also spent the extra on a Sony thinking the quality was at least as good as my 16 year old RCA which is still working. My problem is also an apparant short in the tube which has now completely quit. I have tried in vain to find Sony Customer Service to discuss the issue but apparently at Sony there is no Customer Service.

No longer the best
Purchased this 4 years ago and the tube is defective. I spent the extra on a Sony thinking the quality was at least the same as my 20 year old Sony(which is still working). After talking to 3 repairmen, Sony is not what it used to be. My problem (intermitent short in tube) is known by Sony (so says one repairmen) but is not important enough to be addressed by Sony. The cost of the tube makes buying another brand my best option. Before buying, just try to call Sony Service.

Still going strong...
Bought the TV 3 years ago and I am yet to have any problems with it. he picture quality is great; the sound is awesome by itself but I have it connected to a receiver and surround sound speakers; once in a while though I listen to it directly and still impresses me. While it may not be available through Amazon.com if you do come across it elsewhere go for it!

not bad.... but you should consider paying a little more
I, like most people, got this lens when buying a kit. Unlike one review, I found this lens to have excellent optics. While not quite like a Nikon lens, the quality of pictures the lens produces is more than enough for most users. For the past 4 years, I have thouroughly enjoyed using it. Unfortunately, something is not ligning up on the connections between the lens and the camera body and the camera is unable to read/set the aperture on the lens, therebye making it impossible to take pictures. I have used other lenses on the body, and they work fine, so I'm assuming it is a problem with the lens. Consider paying a little more when buying a lens... in the long run, it might save you money.

Buy this lens!
I have a 20x30 poster of some cliffs in Ireland hanging in my living room because the picture quality was too great to not enlarge! This lens gives you great versitility and the quality is great for the average person.

A wonderful, inexpensive lens - a must-have for EOS users
This entry level canon lens is an optical marvel that will enable anyone to shoot professional-quality photographs. The 28-80 mm zoom range is among the most useful for everything from vast landscapes at 28 mm to intimate portraits at 80 mm. The aperture of the lens allows hand-held shooting in most situations. The quality of the lens is remarkable for the price. Every EOS user should have this lens in his/her bag!

Accept no Substitutes
I'm allergic to just about everything. Let's put it this way, when I got my tests back from the Allergist I *wasn't* allergic to feathers. That was it, everything else came back positive. I'm allergic to dust, mold, grass, trees, pet dander, ... the list could go on, but I think you get the point.

I bought this product for use in the master bedroom ( roughly 17' x 20' in size), to clean out the allergens. Since it was going in the bedroom, I was very concerned about the noise. This has not been an issue. It runs continuously on the low setting and it really is quite. Most people don't even notice it.

Again, running continuously on the low setting, I've found the pre-filters need changing about every 2 to 3 months and the HEPA filter is just now indicating it needs changing after about 15 months. I think this seems a reasonable amount of time for the filters to last.

Changing the filters, however, is my one and only complaint. Did I mention I was allergic to dust? Opening the cleaner to change filters -- especially changing the pre-filter -- is not easy to do without getting dust all over yourself and in the air. Even though I change the filters as soon as the light indicates, there is a lot of dust not firmly trapped in the filter. When you remove the velcro straps holding the pre-filter in place, the dust gets airborne and gets on you..

That being said, it does seem to have made my bedroom a much more pleasant place to live. I've noticed that during the spring and fall pollen seasons that I'm sleeping better at night. I attribute that to the good job the air filter is doing. There may be cheaper air cleaners on the market, but why settle for a substitute? After a year of using it, I'm convinced it was worth every cent I paid for it.

Whisper Quiet HEPA Filtered Air Cleaner
As someone who is highly allergic to cigarette smoke and other air pollutants and irritants, I purchased a round Honeywell HEPA air filter when it first came on the market several years ago. It still works well in the living room, but it is quite noisy even on its lowest setting.

Recently, I decided to purchase another air cleaner with a HEPA filter for my bedroom because I had contacted bacterial pneumonia last year and wanted to make sure I did not get it again.

This air cleaner really works! This winter I have not had a cold or flu. Also, this Honeywell Air Cleaner with HEPA filter is whisper soft, and I have had no problem sleeping when it is running on the low and medium settings. I leave it on all the time, and I've found that it works best when the door is closed.

It has a convenient handle on the top, so I can move it to another room quite easily. The prefilters last about 3-6 months, (and they can be vacuumed if you have pets who shed). I change my HEPA filter every year, but you can wait 3 years to do so. These filters are easy to change.

Highly recommended for anyone who has pets, who lives with or entertains people who smoke, and who is allergic to dust, molds, or pollens.

Breath of Fresh Air -- Literally
I live in an apartment in downtown Seattle. We had terrible problems with dust and road grime making its way onto our shelves and counters -- I had to dust thoroughly every weekend. So I was very excited to get this air filter. It is pretty loud on the highest level, but obviously that is not a problem when you aren't at home. At its lowest level it isn't any louder than the hum of a quiet refrigerator. And it kicks out really clean, cool fresh air. It's about the size of a large hat box, and it is very light weight and has a convenient handle at the top for easy carrying. I carry it from my living room to my bedroom every night. Only one problem--the air it produces, while very clean, is also very dry and when I slept with it on in my bedroom all night, I woke up with dried out, painful sinuses. However, this air cleaner has made a noticeable difference in the quality of the air in my home and I would recommend it.

look before you leap
No, I have NOT bought/borrowed/used the Honeywell 17000, yet I call your collective attention to 3 alternatives which merit serious consideration before you commit your cash and health to the innards of this (or other) HEPA devices. Keep in mind that should you count on repayment by Medicare, then hold off on "my" suggestions. OK, first look at Amazon's newly-introduced product, "Hoover SilentAir 4000 Ionizing Air Purifier" (ASIN: B000090WEX); this looks like it means business big-time, and the Amazon page already describes its ability to annihilate the teeny particles that slip under the HEPA 'radar'. Drawback on this first one: "Dielectric Collection Sheet" probably has to be BOUGHT (rather than wiped clean). Will somebody find out for us all? Next two devices are comparable in that they are tower-style, with supposedly small footprints (incompatible with toddlers and roving animals): one is the "Ionic Breeze Quadra Silent Air Purifier" by SharperImage (cheaper via Outlet); the other is the Honeywell Environizer (2 models, both via RadioShack). The Quadra (2 larger sizes) and the Environizer both carry 5-year warranties, and both guts can be wiped clean with a sponge. Since none of the three alternatives have fans, they draw considerably less juice than any HEPA. I do not know and cannot imagine how a whole room's air can be aggressively scrubbed clean by a passive device, namely the ion purifiers. A fringe benefit of having a HEPA purifier make sound/noise is that there might be less marital bickering over random low-level noises that are inevitably generated by human activity or bodily functions. Once the honeymoon wears off, you both might (re-)UNITE in a mutual dislike for the whir and hum of a HEPA. Should the relationship 'troubles' threaten the bonding, then try to ALTERNATE "pick-on-me" days. The disser won't be so eager to vent, knowing that the next day s/he has to hear the mate...

Don't bother.
I bought this machine and was very disappointed. It is loud, bulky and does not do a good job filtering the air. I would recommend getting a really good vacuum (we have the yellow Dyson and it does a wonderful job) and just going over your floors and surfaces everyday if you want to cut down on dust and pet hair.

Everything I hoped for
I've had this product for about 3 years and am very pleased. The noise level is fine for me. We keep it on low and have no trouble listening to the TV. It also provides some nice white noise for sleeping.
I change the carbon prefilter every 2 months and it is amazing how much dust is on it. I buy cheap replacement carbon filters at Lowes. The HEPA filter I changed once (after 2 years). These are pricey, but with the amount of dust this thing takes out of the air, I knew it was a good investment.
Filters are easy to change, machine itself is easy to clean, and it does a great job.

    Don't buy this
The camera case is worthless - it doesn't seal at all so pieces can easily fall out and dust can go in.

Of course, the battery and charger are very useful, so simply buy the charger individually and then purchase a REAL camera case and a lens cleaner. You won't miss those 5 pieces of paper.

    Not worth the money
Included in this package: * Extra battey and charger - very nice * Lens cleaning tool - oversized, not worth much * Paper - five whole pieces, not worth much * Camera bag - worthless, does not seal at all; just a flap with a single buckle.

This kit is simply not worth what it costs. Just purchase the battery and charger seperately (only $59 if you order directly from Kodak) then take your $40 and buy a real camera case, lens brush, and 15 sheets of print paper.

A nice, well balanced camera kit
I love the whole kit, because it's everything I need. The bag is really nice, though I had to put a piece of black tape over the "Kodak" logo, so that it wouldn't be so obvious I was carrying an expensive camera.

I really don't have use for the photo paper though, because I get my photos done....

The lithium battery charger is also a necessity, and it gets your charging done in a short period of time, rather than having to keep buying alkaline batteries for only a few minutes of use before they die.

    Honeywagon not honeywell .

    Humidifies just fine and dandy!
The Honeywell cool mist humidifier does a great job humidifying our home during the winter. The automatic on and off when it senses a change in humidity is truly convenient! And the large water tank only needs to be filled once every 24 hours if it's running all day. The 5-year warranty, while I don't expect to use it, is rare to find and tells me that this is a product that will give us years of service. The only drawback is that the fan is a little too noisy, even on low, to have running in your bedroom at night.

    Works great
Fan can be noisy unless its on the 'low' setting. Otherwise, it works great. It's easy to refill and you can actually refull it while it's running if there's a little water left. The four gallon tank means that it can run 24 hours a day and only needs to be refilled once (at least in my home!). The extra humidity has helped my home stay warm during the winter, thus reducing my heating bills.
